Dude….. I click on the first link, and it says “2 years ago”

Furthermore, the game has changed a lot in 3 years; what was said in 2012 may not be accurate today.

Though the game may have changed, it doesn’t mean many of the request did. The game changing, does not dismiss others view, opinions, and request, unless those very aspects the posters were discussing, were specifically addressed.

I Just do not see how 1 picture in one threads, represents what everyone wanted, as he appear to be attempting to imply.

My problem is that you suggested that the poster was cherrypicking threads based on their age, but clicking on the first link already renders your statement false! Mistakes are fine, but this shows that you haven’t really put forth the effort to even consider what was being linked. And this shows again, when you haven’t acknowledged the issue.

Obviously time in and of itself does not inherently dismiss the validity of someone’s statement if it is still fundamentally sound, but context is very important, because by now we are almost talking about an entirely different map.

And sure, I also agree that there is no way to tell what “everyone” wanted because the forums logically cannot represent everyone that is or has playing the game.

Furthermore, the game has changed a lot in 3 years; what was said in 2012 may not be accurate today. Opinions can shift, with or without changes as people play the game more and gain more experience as such.

Personally, I think both sides are attempting to place this vague concept of player demands into some monolithic entity, and to lump all opinions over the past 3 years into this doesn’t seem like it’d be very meaningful. Even if it could be proven players asked for X, how would you determine the consensus and dissenting opinions? How many topics does one expect the community as a whole to have a singular opinion?

I can think of one off the top of my head— salvaging wvw gear and that went over without a hitch, as expected.

Let's talk Guild Upgrades and Scribing

Well, the guild hall seems to have taken account that people would be farming pve for them, which would prove to be a nightmare in WvW.

People are deliberately pricing it high despite there being so many because they know there are those that want it now. You shouldn’t be buying flax seeds for 5s30c a piece— the price is really more like 5s if you match the highest buyer. But even buying it at that price is only like a wait of an hour or two if even, so does it have to be that price of which you buy it at? And if you think about it, why wouldn’t they? You’re just going to have to wait in line until those people who are rushing it stop placing those high buy orders. These people absolutely don’t care about anything but getting it first, and they will take you down with them, even if it makes 0 sense. So what’s the point in playing that kind of game with them?

Time is the greatest premium, and so close to release, it’ll be brutal.

Cultural appropriation is wrong

I have to agree. I hate it when Sylvari tv shows SYLVARI actors portraying humans in an insanely sterotypical fashion, mocking our facial features, and insulating that humans are all small squabbling creatures that couldn’t find their way out of a paper bag. It’s not my choice I had to be born a human, but society pushes these oppressive views that all humans are non-shoe wearing simpletons like Queen Jennah and like to waste all their resources on holding overly elaborate festivals while everyone else starves. We’ve even been classified as bookahs by those Asuran IQ tests that are clearly Asuran biased, but none of them can understand this, because Sylvari and Asura are just simply incapable of seeing past their privilege blindness.

We should DEMAND more accurate representation of humans as individuals on Sylvari and Asuran media. I mean I am so angry about it, I’m going to twitter this, until I realized we humans don’t even have internet.

Profanity/hateful speech reaching new peaks

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

Since so many are so dead set against seeing any “swears”, I’ll stop using profanity when people can explain why profanity is bad.

So far nobody has ever been able to give me a good reason. It’s always “they just are!” and “iI’m offended because i was taught to be offended!”.

Think about it, and maybe you’ll realize profanity isn’t even worth discussing. Not talking about directed and targeted abuse here either, but the words themselves.

Profanity is bad because it’s against the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up to play in ANET’s playground. What you do in your own time is your business, and I honestly couldn’t care less if you communicate solely via a complex organization exclusively comprised of profanity. What you do in GW2 is ANET’s business.

I don’t understand this idea that words don’t have power. The words we use absolutely have power. In many ways, language shapes how we perceive the world. “The kitten mightier than the sword” is meaningful for a reason. If you even did a cursory study of linguistics, or even basic communication classes, you’d know that words have power.

I’m not saying that there aren’t instances where people are over-sensitive. I’m just saying that it’s wrong to perpetuate this idea that you can say whatever the kitten you want and it doesn’t effect people. It does. Own up to that.

That is very much true. I’m afraid one has to agree to the terms and conditions set by the service and free speech is not something a private business has to offer.

In venues that do not allow cussing, I do not, because my participation is based on those rules. On forums that do allow it, I use it whenever, because that’s how I normally speak. Sure, I think there’s no need to care about casually saying the word kitten out of context but I am not really sure if people are getting banned left or right.

On the subject of growing up, failing to understand why going into another space and making up your own rules is probably a sign one needs to grow up a bit more.

Firefly mining flute vs watchwork pick

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

Lots of people in this thread who didn’t do their reseach. There’s test data out there that shows the watchwork pick offers little to no monetary gain because it sacrifices ore pieces in order to harvest sprockets from the node…

Its only good on Mithril, Silver, and Gold Ore.

Sounds interesting. Source?

Its easy enough to test yourself with several characters, a list of rich iron nodes, and a watchwork and normal orichalcum pick. Tests showed that whenever the pick would get a sprocket from the node, the bonus ore was lost.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1wfp5r/watchwork_pick_looking_for_data/

I quote from the thread:
Just tracked 120 swings of the watchwork pick on plat ore nodes.
Platinum Ore: 69
Platinum Ore + Watchwork Sprocket: 37
Platinum Ore + Jewel Shard: 8
Platinum Ore + Watchwork Sprocket + Jewel Shard: 6
Platinum Ore + Platinum Ore: 0

Just tracked 120 swings of the Orichalcum Mining Pick on plat ore nodes.
Platinum Ore: 112
Platinum Ore + Jewel Shard: 8
Platinum Ore + Platinum Ore: 0

Even for such a small test sample… 69 vs 112 speaks for itself. So this pick offers very little profit on valuable nodes like iron (currently 2.7s/ore on TP).

Not sure if I’m reading this right, but the watchwork pick acquired 120 plat, 8 jewel shards, and 37 sprockets.

Platinum Ore: 69
Platinum Ore + Watchwork Sprocket: 37
Platinum Ore + Jewel Shard: 8
Platinum Ore + Watchwork Sprocket + Jewel Shard: 6

It did not mine only 69 plat ore. It mined only plat ore 69 times. 51 times, it mined plat ore and something else. I think I would have noticed if I was mining and was only getting around 1/2 the materials.

The Orich pick acquired 120 plat and 14 jewel shards. So the WW pick got more of shards and plat, and more sprockets. If anything, this shows the WW pick is plain better than the standard one because even if the sprocket doesn’t allow the possibility of an extra piece because that possibility and only relevant for mining ori.

Also, the thread was made a while back when sprockets were easier to get thanks to living story. At the bottom it says sprockets were worth 40 copper; they’re worth more than 7 times as much now.

Consider their argument: you’re not in their teamspeak. Statistically, people who are not in the guild are more likely to get caught out and rally the enemy. You specifically dying and rallying their 5 people could shift the entire fight (assuming that there would be a fight, lol).

I would agree in theory, but since the demand was to move to an entirely new map, then it is simply an unreasonable demand.

When I suspect that Guilds are scrimming or out for a raid, I ask them specifically that and if they say yes, I will tell them I’m not going to interfere and move out of the way for the very reasons you specified. Even if I were to be able to keep up with them, I’m not on their TS and the fight won’t meet expectations for them or myself unless they decide to want to open up their TS. It’s simply more efficient that way if I know an organized group is dealing with this that I would be needed elsewhere.

If out of the blue, I’m told to move to another map, well, kitten that. I have as much as a right to the map as they do. And most of the time, when it is requested, there’s almost never any drama. Demands though, just get rightfully scoffed at.

And on the flip side, tags and groups have no obligation to ensure the safety of someone that isn’t in comms with them.

Sad as it sounds, last week or two DK – pve + RL. This week DK – wvw. I know people make fun of DK, but he is the one with the maxed out friends list and does a massive call to arms (like the map shouts in LA of days gone by). Those call to arms work for the Pvx crowd…..

Oh and we are very high again this afternoon…..

Not sure why players make fun of DK as he is a very good pug-mander and does rally a lot of players. He also wins a lot of open field fights. Having been on a half dozen servers I find him to be a very good commander overall.

As for YB being open, not sure of their algorithm but I am guessing it is based on last weeks numbers. YB’s population could falter again but it would still take weeks to fall as I mentioned above.

Never saw a single YB player making fun of DK, we all respect him a lot and he is indeed one of the best commanders I have followed in all servers I have been.

I meant from other servers – not YB…..

Well, I think it has to do with the cynicism towards WvW, that nobody could possibly devote the time to what some may consider a futile activity. But hey, that’s how you accomplish anything and as long as someone is happy, I think there’s no point in being bitter. Perhaps a bit of envy wondering how the game mode continues to endure in the minds of many, which is encouraging at least to me.

The other reason is, from my observations, is that there should be quite a few individuals in the first four tiers that have some repressed memory of being rained on by a seemingly infinite amount of arrow carts, and for some reason this whole thing counts as a trigger regarding the server’s stereotype. Now this individual may not have actually placed said arrow carts, but nobody said hate was ever rational. It is certainly not my place to decide to decide what a person and a piece of siege do in their spare time because it is a perfectly legitimate style of play, but people have their own reservations. And what could I say, when there’s obviously been clear results of success without sounding salty myself?

Well, the base concept seems to be a good idea since it’s based on an existing system that actually works.

The biggest problem would be related to WvW as a whole. What would be the incentive to coming out if your server is losing badly? Maybe the reward-tick should be based locally per map?

I’ve done WvW from the start and I’ve given the new BL maps the chance to draw me in but no matter how much I play on the new BL maps there is nothing wanting me to come back and play on them. It’s just to much of a pain to navigate around and way to much verticality for my taste for a PvP map.

How so?

What makes the maps harder to navigate?

Hmm. Well, we could use some help here.

KILLED WvW Guilds

in WvW

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

As I’ve posted many times, Guilds should not be prioritized in WvW, period! Worlds need to be a cohesive military force. Buffs need to be available to every soldier of a World because they all matter equally. Not gating buffs to social cliques, especially to only the largest large social cliques at that.

The entire design concept of gating WvW buffs to guilds is a complete failure….

I have to agree that gating potentially critical functions to social cliques is quite a problem.

@ this issue
First off, just because it’s not a problem for you, it doesn’t always mean it’s not a problem for everyone. Mind you, that was a single question out of the bunch and a few people did voice their concerns. But again, this isn’t PvP where there is almost zero upkeep cost.

Oh and this thread too: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/wuv/Devon-Comments-on-WvW-Reward-Balance-Issues

What you folks may call “lemmings” may be potential WvW players that might not have a desire to play WvW for the content but could play it. I cannot for the life of me understand why people have been bemoaning that WvW has not enough players but assume that people who don’t play WvW currently could never become interested and are going to destroy their (already dead?) game mode when it’s been pretty clear that things like PvP reward tracks were brought in with a certain thing in mind— and PvP players need even less than WvW players.

If you’re seriously going to look down on ktrainers, EOTMers, and pvers and whathaveyou and refuse to integrate them into your community, then I am going to have no sympathy if you (the same person) complains about lack of people to play with. If you don’t have these complaints, then that is fine then.

But that’s just from my personal experience.

ArchonWing.9480

WvW missions have been one of the few good things in my experience, as the defense portion makes people sit around.

Also, if a guild is willing to jeopardize their server to pursue a guild mission, that seems incredibly selfish and nobody has a right to control the map like that. I would reject any such requests and tell them we could help arrange to do that at a slightly later time. It’s nothing communication couldn’t potentially solve.

The timer is crap, but that has to do with the overall poor design of Guild Missions.

It is like the situation with tower nodes. If the people are selfish enough to take advantage of the nodes and not help out, then it is a problem with the people. And some of the times this can be resolved by asking nicely instead of complaining about people on the forums.

Hello …

  • How is the loot and wxp for you compared to in the past? Will it be able to sustain whatever you are doing? Did it take a hit, or was it improved? If you are planning to unlock an elite specialization, do you think you were helped or hurt in these regards? Do you think you could pursue any other in-game goals just by playing WvW?

I understand what this means now. For me personally: It is worse. It is horrible. There just isn’t any way to truly describe the bank-sucking-void-of-a-gold-sink WvW is. Seriously, it sucks… and don’t feed me that “drip, drip, drip” loot coming in kitten. I can spend the exact same amount of time in a PvE map and get a “flood, flood, flood”. Does my inventory get full during a guild raid? Sure it does. Does my inventory get full farming a PvE map? Sure it does, in 1/3 the time!

Well, I think the new maps in PvE finally found a decent balance between participation and consistent rewards. WvW has always been the opposite, and while I understand people don’t come to WvW for that kind of stuff, armor and weapons don’t exactly craft themselves, and nor does siege.

It doesn’t drip, it leaks.

Necro vs elem

in WvW

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

Eles provide way more than water— and should have no trouble getting bags, just trait lightning bolt and toss static fields and unsteady grounds as needed— much less meteors.

Honestly, I’ve never been bag poor on any class except thief or warrior and sure guardian gets the most bags but one shouldn’t really fight in big fights with that mindset—winning the fight is the more important thing.

But in my experience, the baggerific ranking goes like

1. Guardian— Staff & and also stability to fight through clouds
2. Ele— Meteors, traited Static Field and Unsteady Ground
3. Necro— Wells, Marks, Traited Life Blast
4. Engineer— Mortar, Rifle, Elixir Gun, or FT, goes heavily down if your frontline sucks and cannot hold in place the enemy
5. Ranger- Piercing Arrows, goes heavily down too if your frontline sucks. Alternatively speaking, the ever so rare frontline version.
6. Mesmer- Walk into a zerg and press f1f2f3f4 and blink away, GS
7. Warrior- Hammer, flurry. You’re sorta screwed and are a bannerbot unless you have competent guardians feeding you stab or you went like stances. Have not really played since the stab nerf. Retaliation may or may not help enough.
8. Thief- Ding people with shortbow

It’s generally directly in proportion to how easy it for them to land aoe/cleave from a distance.

in WvW

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

It does feel more boring.

In the alpine borderlands, when assaulting a borderland, taking a certain tower would make laying siege to a keep much easier, or losing a keep would make travel rather difficult to defend other structures. But now travel’s a pain anyways, and the towers sorta become thingies. I do find the tower WPs somewhat interesting but not enough to compensate.

Of course the very idea of large spacing can also result in a bit more bordedom. If there was more stuff to fight over, that wouldn’t be the case, but the pace it sets for being so big and empty just translates to boredom. This kind of map design isn’t bad for new players to learn mechanics and not get overwhelmed, but for WvW it doesn’t seem to serve much purpose other than to act as filler; I see this problem in the new pve maps in parts too.

Oh wait, the Key opened a friggin repair canister, a celebratory booster and a scrap. Meh. :/ To be fair, that has more to do with BL chests being dumb, not wvw.

That being said, I’ve never felt compelled to go into pve to gather gold or materials, with the exception of the recent hero point grind. Notaries are honestly a joke because they are so RNG driven. I do of course, do a bit to help matters out, but I’ve never been like “broke”, though that is a subjective concept. I do realize however, that pve would have given me a lot more stuff (like 5-10x more? Both classes have different kinds of challenges. You may need quick hands and reactions with an ele, and a good sense of positioning as a necro. But these generalities can be false depending on individual builds too, so it never ends.

Personally, I feel life is easier on an ele in larger groups (Oh yea, it also depends on who you’re running with). But as a total beginner, the necro’s shroud is more handy and button mashing on an ele is a quick trip back to spawn.

My response, as per pretty much everything stated by Mr. Carver.

“Do you even WvW bro?”

The statements I do not find out of touch with World vs World only, but with the entirety of the game itself and how it handles item acquisition. I am sorry, but it is extremely difficult to ever consider the possibility of the statements being true in the context of the game itself. Also, I’ve spent 20 minutes trying to sound nicer, but I can’t. Nothing personal.

Arrow indicating if upcaled removed?

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

Its just another step to make WvW casual for everyone, making it so that upscales can hide in zergs without being scoffed at. This is what Anet want WvW to become.

And yes, its stupid. Zerg commanders depend on the ability to judge how much they can push. Upscales are alot weaker than full 80.

I fail to see how the loss of the ability to scoff at uplevels is really a big loss at all. If people are really uplevels and not 80 by now, they’re probably new players as I imagine experienced players have many other resources to get to 80.

As for assessing the strength of your own group, I think voice comms and map chat would be sufficient enough. If most of the people aren’t in comms or seemingly looking at map chat, I would assume they are incompetent unless proven otherwise. Heck, I can just glance at the class and buff icons and look at their weapons and pretty much know what the composition can and cannot do. If you see a bearbow ranger with no food buffs and 3 signets, chances are it doesn’t matter if it’s an uplevel or not.

[BUILD] Scrapper WvW Font Line

in Engineer

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

Some good ideas here. I’m rather disappointed that Scrapper did not provide reliable stability despite giving us a melee weapon beyond that rather situation trait; so in wvw I feel compelled to take FT.

I would suggest Mortar for the water field (also goes with alchemy), and also orbital strike is useful for casting on yourself as you make contact with the enemy.

Would prefer Rocket Boots over U. I think the ability to instantly escape from hotzones and especially removing the frontline destroying immobolize and chill is invaluable, plus you can combo it with healing mist to give out an instant water field to heal people that get stuck behind, is very useful. Also consider Bulwark Gyro.

That being said, healing turret is probably more useful for the group.

I would ditch firearms for tools (kinetic battery/adrenal implant) or inventions (mecha legs). Firearms doesn’t really do much but add damage to the build and you might as well just add more zerker if you wanted to do that.

I did not sigil my hammer until today, so I was using testing scrapper with a rifle/ft: http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFAUlUUhOvYtWwvLQ7FL3FF9q36zO4CWABQ4EGQZGA-TliFABqoiAM7PciqAVpE0IlfA8AAIUtgz0BcoKMJcBACAgA4oFahO0G6Qv5yt5QLDQxWA-w

(Elixir S in place of something for more survival). Slick shoes + Rocket boots is a really funny combo.

However, I don’t think it would be that big of a difference honestly if I do equip hammer, besides being able to contribute more CC and mobility. Nonetheless, I won’t argue that hammer is more optimal for frontline— but I’d rather show something that was used in actual fights.

If I were using a hammer it’d be closer to this:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?vdAQFASlUUhOvY1VwvLQ7FLTGF9cf37d42lMhl4zUABAA-TliFABqoiAM7PciqAVpEEgLAgRK/IUtgz0BcoKMJ8AACAgA4oFahO0G6Qv5yt5QLDQxWA-w

But I am very distrustful of Elixir B. Does the bug where it doesn’t prioritize yourself still exist?

Edit: Toss Elixir B is way too unreliable. 2nd build is scrapped. I can’t get hammer to work.

Should remove nodes altogether. If you want to mine, chop trees or pick flowers go to pve

Eh, I disagree. I’d really like to not be required to pve to get mats for making wvw food, gear, and upgrading the guild halls (though, still have to pve for the latter anyway. T_T)

I get enough mats out of heavy loot bags and salvaging crap. It was fine when they were spread all over the map but now we take something and everyone mines away. Even seen commanders telling people to mine the nodes after each cap.. What a waste of time these are..

That’s the problem. I already go to PvE enough. I don’t need more reasons to go to pve. I’m already annoyed enough the gatherer daily can never be done in wvw. I should have more reason to go to WvW. As long as WvW is dependent on PvE items, this will always be the case

And if a group is really that obsessed with gathering while Rome burns, that’s simply the fault of them for not having enough discipline or being able to place priorities properly— they’d probably be liabilities in a real fight anyways and are the same people that would stick behind to cap a sentry when a big fight is ahead.

All of this is moot though. It doesn’t matter if this change is good or bad. The problem is that it was unannounced (most likely out of fears to protect the economy— not WvW players) and fairly low priority when some other aspects such as dailies are still very broken.

That’s because it involves their precious economy and there were other forces at work.

On the subject of WvW and rocket boots, it’s also good for removing immobilize and soft CC. Plus plain getting away as Acid Bomb can easily put you in combat if you weren’t already.

But context matters of course. Obviously these things are diminished in PvP and PvE

Too much PvE in the new BL map

in WvW

Posted by: ArchonWing.9480

ArchonWing.9480

To be fair there were always sharks (was just in Bay) and that’s one of the few things I tolerate because it’s sharks.

On the other hand, I just feel like the concept of actually fighting other players was lost somewhere down the line thanks to the gimmicks that populate both PvP and WvW. And if you think about it, in either mode you’re generally killing other players if they get in the way if you’re following the so-called intended design route.

I’m genuinely thinking that they do not understand how high this priority is for a number of players. It might also be possible they just don’t like that concept because people’s feelings might get hurt. Actually, I’m dead serious about this. If people are QQ’ing about losing to NPCs in PvE, being defeated by another player is just going to lead to a longer trail of tears mostly screaming nerfnerfnerf. Wait, that’s already happening. But I was imagining the type that enters WvW is a bit far away from the “carebear” end. Or maybe I’m crazy; I dunno.

Now, it’s certainly possible to regard WvW as PvE with incidental PvP combat, since the wiki does state that WvW was meant to be a bridge of sorta between PvP and PvE, but I would rather prefer Player vs Player with incidental PvE. I don’t really know people that aim for the former that play WvW a lot except if you play after midnight but YMMV.

This isn’t actually a rant. It’s sort of a fear that the degree of miscommunication is far greater than expected.

P: Well, WvW should have this and that. And some rewards, and stuff stuff stuff.
A: Alright! We can do that.
P: Wait, but I want to fight other players while doing this
A: You what?
P: Well, I didn’t think I had to tell you that I entered this game mode to go against players and not your AI.
A: But we’ve improved our AI. Just look at the new Maguuma Jungle zones. You’ll get a similar experience in WvW while you work for your specializations.
P: Yea, that’s nice and all, but the idea of going against an unpredictable human opponent is not the same. And we like to succeed by using our skill; we don’t want to win just because we played more to get something.
A: But what about the exploration?
P: What about the exploration? The map is revealed to begin with.
A: Oh, does that mean you want it so the map should be covered until you explore it?
P: NO, I want to make it so that I know where I’m going, being a strategic game mode and such.
A: Are you sure you’re not talking about PvP? We’re holding a tournament soon.
P: $#%@^$# Kittenkittenkitten
A: Well, are you going to buy gems?
P2: Anet plz let me and my 66 friends get into this full server. This is killing WvW
A: Ah, we see. So this server has not enough people. We can fix that.
P: About those fi…
P2: NOOOO! You’re supposed to take points like Anet intended. Stop violating my game mode.

P2 gets his 64 friends to zerg the thread, drowning out P

6 months later
A: We are proud to announce our new World vs World. Now players will have to explore the map so they can seek their enemies. But before that, they will have to gain abilities like jump mastery and climbing mastery. Doing so will require 1000 hero points which you can get in our new PvE zones!
P: We never asked for this:
F: Yes you did. I copy and pasted your entire post history and found 567 instances of progression and exploration
P: That’s out of context.
F: Stop whining! They put in all this work, and all you want to do is whine and be handed everything.

I would definitely like to also agree with points that feedback is important to provide, not anger. There’s too many times I feel the development team will make very short posts and I feel it is because of fear of being taken out of context or have their words twisted over a matter of semantics, and this doesn’t apply to this section only. Even though I’ve already dumped all my spare points in PvF defense, it is still not enough. (Sorry, I’ve resorted to spending my ability points on imaginary things) Now, I’d like to also point out many people do not do this and do provide very high quality feedback across the boards, but there are definitely a few folks out there that are making matters worse— not that I believe everyone should be punished for the actions of those few though but just because a red post seems to have posted something objectionable doesn’t mean you have to mash the post reply button. Step away from the keyboard.

As long as the feedback continues to get ignored and the community continues to be an afterthought, the anger is to be expected. It isn’t realistic to expect people to remain calm and civil when you keep poking them with the proverbial stick. What makes it even worse is the over moderation of that criticism, because it makes the company look extremely bad.

Anger is to be expected, but I still think my point stands in regards to acting for one’s interests. I am also honestly not seeing this so called over-moderation. I mean personally, a good fifth of my post reach the conclusion that they really don’t know what they’re doing and I’ve only gotten infracted like once? And that was just for insulting someone personally so I couldn’t really say I was innocent. I honestly think if one is regularly getting deleted, they should phrase their comments better.

Can’t really comment on the beta as I was personally shut out, but it seems to me that the beta was just so late and I do think it’s probably their fault for having so many things set in stone and then telling people too late… sometimes only a week in advance as we can see with liquid xp.

OP,

In all fairness, there are many posts complaining about nightcapping.

Post is alright I guess. Frankly, I think it’s better than it was two years ago when they were truly out of touch IMO with “NEW AND EXCITING” things that seemed almost used in an ironic sense and certain posts from the development that just made me go “holy crap, you have no kittening clue and are incredibly patronizing”, but I won’t name any names. =p Let’s just say I wasn’t a big fan of tournaments at times.

At least now they should realize not all is right in wvw land.

By no means do I think this boat is steered anywhere near the right direction, but a willingness to adapt to the situation is needed on both ends.
