that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

That you don’t like something doesn’t necesarily make it a problem.
I simply put a very general example. There must be lots more precisely adjusted, if you really need things to be that perfectly fitting.
The point stand: the good consequences of something wrong don’t make the responsible less guilty.
She’s a mesmer. Mesmer don’t have feelings, they just make perfect, disposable imitations.
Although I don’t value her too much, I still think she did very well in the past. Logan’s Harm was his own responsability, and while he was leaving his party at the worst moment and running in circles, she do saved the day for those that were with her during Kralky’s pass.
While I have to agree the TP is the safest alternative, I have to say too that it is NOT an alternative for people seeking P2P transactions.
We can compare TP with the old GW1 P2P system as Anet proposed tools for general trading, but we can not compare them as P2P tools. Because the TP is not a P2P tool.
In other words: the alternative offered by GW2 for P2P activities is mailing. And mailing is MUCH WORSE than the old P2P system.
Do you want the game to be truly safer? Don’t allow mailing items: instead reinstate the GW1 P2P trading tool for that function.
Bad choices often allow new opportunities. That doesn’t mean they aren’t bad choices in the first place.
This applies to blameworthy and objectionable acts too.
Ana Frank wrote an amazing diary while hidding from the kittens. Does this make the II World War crimes less reprehensible? No.
Do you can transform a backpiece from one stat set to another in the Mystic Toilet?
It’s an orange fly. Very cute, totally annoying.
that skill’s name fits just fine with Logan’s lore so i dont see any problem
Hahahahaha! Good one!.
More ears for asura, more horns for charr, more beards for everyone. Older looking faces, specially for humans. Fatter and wider, thinner and leaner bodies. A chubby+busty body for human girls. New and better beards for everyone.
The option to dye hair accesories in the wardrobe.
A cure for the head-armor-induced baldness. A real bald hairstyle for human girls.
A voice pitch modulator (So my old cranky necro doesn’t sound like an enthusiastic teenager).
A variety of selectable idle, walking and running animations in the Gem Store.
Compare Norn girls to human girls. They weren’t conceived to look similar to their male counterparts. They were conceived to look way different from human females.
I would like more intermediate options for norn(Wider and more muscular girls, thinner and less muscular guys), but the discrepancy between the sexes is not really a problem.
I really don’t like male Norn because they IMO just bigger human. While female ones at least are eyecandy to me, the males are plain boring. Making them MORE like humans would not solve this at all.
TLDR: It is a subjective problem. For me Norn doesn’t need to look more human. They need to look more like spirit-beasts.
Sorry for the bad joke.
Its a skill:

Charr and Asura needs to get their armor re-polished.
I didn’t understand what the OP tryed to say, Nocturnal. Since you understand it better, could you please explain it to me? English is not my first language, it would be really nice.
Thanks.
The Reaper spec alone is enough to make it worth the buy, IMO. The story is weak, but the layered maps, all the gliding, interesting meta events and quite a bunch of NPCs are truly great. I also love some of the new skins, specially Fix-R-Upper.
Engies already have an unlimited uses crowbar.
I’ve found that I only do dailies if there is a JP in the list. If there isn’t one, the only way I’ll do a daily is if, by dumb luck, I’m doing what the list need. I happens time to time, mostly when killing Teq.
Woah. This is an actual mindblown.
Maybe you simply don’t want to spend money in your wife’s gaming? I know sometimes making this kind of present could be dissapointing and a waste.
In my case, I think buying Gw2+HoT for my girlfriend was one of the better deals I have ever done. So much gaming, so much lore talking, so much love, so much everything.
I would work to have that.
We get paid monthly in Chile too.

I prefer quality over quantity. HoT has good replayability, gorgeous design, amazing maps, awesome gameplay and a set of principles for valuable community play that you’ll never find in another mmo. Only real weak points were the WvW fumble and the subpar story. Other than that, is the best MMO game I’ve played.
So yes, I’ve been playing HoT almost 9 months, and I will keep playing for a long time yet.

Attacking the new LS before it’s released makes as little sense as defending it right now. We should wait and see.
What happen after you max MF? Do you still get more and more of those anoying charges?
You don’t need to do the check automatically. You can execute it only at user request, after the TP has loaded normally.
Why people keep suggesting more AIs!?
Don’t get me wrong, Regon, I think your spec idea is interesting and could be really fun. But we know Anet can’t deal properly with minions and AIs, and engie already have two skill lines of AIs, one of them almost completely useless, and the other very debatable.
Interesting, really interesting. And the Asura, as always, incorregible and reckless. I love to hate them.
It’s sad, out of all the races, they give me the most to hate about them. But then you have those ‘gems’ within the asura like Zojja, Taimi, and the asura PC that make you like them.
Don’t get me wrong, Ryu: I DO love Asura. My main is a tiny asura engie, and my second is a fierce asura reaper.
I simply think their skeptical and dry know-it-all approuch to everything is deligthfully refreshing, and their petulant and deadpan way to interact with other people is incredibly fun. The other races feel mostly inane in comparison. Asura insults are just the best ever!
They are hateful, yes, but in the best posible way.
I think the point there is that they were positioned in the heart of the fleet where their turning did tremendous damage. So a warning could have let Trahearne take precautions against this sudden yet inevitable betrayal, perhaps change his plans entirely, saving many lives.
That quote, hahaha, made your post twice worth of reading.
Every single hammer looks absolutely tiny on Asura, with the proud exception of the Fix-r-Upper. This happen with most weapons, really: they become so small almost every detail dissapear.
That’s because Asura are tiny and their bodies aren’t in standard human proportions (their heads are larger than their torsos). But if you look at hammers on them the hammer heads are as large if not larger than their torsos, and almost as large as their heads.
I understand that, but really, if I’m using a tiny race in a fantasy game is precisely because the contrast it causes to have a tiny character with a bigger-than-him/her weapon.
I don’t need “realism” (Wich doesn’t apply anyway, because my Norn Warrior isn’t stronger than my Asura Warrior). I need weapons that are visible.

I wasn’t trying tocreate another topic, just to put my opinion on Phlunt.
I made a mistake and put the same post in two threads, and the mods deleted it. It was really intended to be in this thread, so I’m copying here the link to the other post:

Sorry to bother.

It doesn’t matter if you can dodge or keep your swiftness going. It also doesn’t matter if you know how to avoid being caught in that situation or not (personally, I never have problems avoiding the “no skills” situation). The point it is a very ugly and stupid fail in the gameplay design. IF it is intended, its a cheap patch. It looks more like an overlook/rush thing to me.
Those things should be the first ones to be solved, IMO. The game is excelent, but this kind of things destroy the experience.
This should be adressed once and for all. Just make you able to use your land skills on the surface. To not be able to do anything just because you are moving with water at your chest is stupid.
We don’t need yet ANOTHER heavy modification of the system. We need Anet polishes what we have, and fixes all the broken stuff there is still around. No more useless traits, weak weapons and overpowered builds.
Please no more traits until the present ones really work.
That sound quite right.
Well, the select box will work for that too: it simply makes more likely to find RP, that is. So if you RP you’ll have an easier time contacting people to make stories, and if you simply like seeing characters acting “in character”, you’ll be more likely find places with dramatic and inmersive activities.
You missed the Tool Kit also.
Engie doesn’t need weapon swap. Only better balance, a lot of bug polishing and a real Elite Spec Mechanic.
I did read “Zhaitan – Worst Boss Ever” and was about to say I agree, when I noticed my mistake.
WoW maps made me suffer hours of horrible monotony. Please don’t make GW2 maps be anything like that.
You have to consider the very special nature of Asuras as a culture. As ATM says, they are not fond of administration, negociation and politics. They only value knowledge, actively used knowledge, and despise everything else. I would not go so far as to say they are truly amoral, but yes, their moral is not about the bland “good” and “bad” stuff other cultures dumbly try to use as guides.
Once you see this, you understand Phlunt is someone the Asura NEED. He acts unfairly, and exploit Taimi’s talent for his own benefit… but he does so because he can’t follow a true Asura life: he can’t investigate, invent and theorize on his own. He dirties his hands doing the work no other Asura will ever do. He is resentful and bitter because he is a prisoner of his rank. Yet he does his job outstandingly: he can make the Asura stop their eternal debate and let aside their precious personal goals, he can make them work toghether and be effective.
Taimi know this, and the commander too: rejecting Phlunt would only make things harder for everyone, because there is no other willing and capable to do this work. Killing Phlunt would throw the council, and the whole Asuran “society” into caos, and turn Rata Sum into Dalaran (Gigantic power, totally useless city).
TLDR: For the Asura, governing is dirty work no one is willing to do it. Phlunt is the rare dark gem who accepts that kittenty job and do it well, so the rest of the Asura can be happy. It’s no surprise someone in that position behaves like a mafia boss. It is a requirement for the job. Even geniuses like Zojja and Taimi will be totally incapable of ruling the Asura: they know it and are thankful they don’t have to.
There’s no way to defend Caithe except by admiting she was extremely confused and choose really poorly a bunch of times. It still qualifies as negligency on her part, even if she never intended to harm anyone.
Back to Taimi, I liked the effort on the blog entry writing, but I think it doesn’t with the best dialogues from her in game. I blame her lack of sleep, but still.
I wouldn’t hope for new maps yet. We don’t know if there is going to be even 1 new zone. They could make a LOT of content by simply creating new event chains in old zones, moving NPCs around and creating whole metas in not-so-populated areas.
If, in the end, there are new maps, I’ll be happy. But I’m not going to have expectations for that.
Another importan thing to add is a select box that helps you to go into worlds and maps populated by RPers. This is needed because megaservers nullified the RP servers.
Nowadays is way harder to found a map were people are randomly roleplaying… A select box to prioritize the RP preference would be amazing, IMO.
Totally agree. Character customization needs more choices, and beards are a very good area to add them.
This glider color scheme was clearly based on my Asura Engie. It is too perfect for her. Thank you Anet. Now please just release it soon.
Maybe the new animations are interruptable?
The point is to have clarity to avoid buying things that later you should have to give back, or for anet, to break their own selling strategy by giving unintended numbers of some item that was suposed to be limited.
Either way, a clear response is needed.
If they are going to add any new weapon, I hope it is something more interesting and
different from what we have, like chain weapons or boomerangs.
2H axes should be already skins for the hammer.
Also these new episodes are suposed to be way more full of content than the old ones.
5+5+3+3+3+"1"
I think this is what will happen.
