Yak’s Bend Server

Honestly, either that helm or the shoulders would make me play WvW more often if the possibility to get them were there. They both look pretty cool.
From what I’ve gathered from reading various responses, anything that’s been re-skinned will give you 2 skins in your wardrobe, the original skin that the item had, and the current skin it now has. I’ll admit I may be misinterpreting this, but that’s how I read it.
I don’t blame you there. And you’re right, the search option does leave something to be desired. Honestly if I hadn’t seen it already I wouldn’t have known where to look.
This was the official response. Guild Wars 2 sites are fine.

5-slot bags have been dropping from starter zone champions since the game started. They aren’t part of the champion loot bag.
The SAB was a very popular event, and highly doubt that ANet is done with it just yet. Just keep your eyes pealed.
Lol, that one I can’t answer. All I can tell you is to keep trying till you get in.
Yes, deleting all your characters will allow you to transfer servers without having to pay the gem fee. And yes, you can put your mithril box in your bank to pick up later. As for the mistfire wolf skill, it’s bound to your account and available to every character you make, so you’ll be fine there.
Tonszo, your personal bank should be fine when you transfer. If you have a guild bank, that remains tied to your server and it’s contents will not move with you. Just make sure that everything you want to keep is in either your own bank before deleting characters and transferring. Keep in mind, anything soulbound will become useless even if your new toon has the same name.
Phoebe, if the buy option on your bank is gone, then yes, you’ve hit your limit. You can still get storage tabs for your characters if those aren’t maxed, but your bank is done unless they expand storage further.
They’ve outlined core changes to the games structure, but haven’t said anything about content. In that regard, we may indeed get nothing, or we might get a great deal. Who knows? Wait till the patch hits and see what happens. Maybe all those SAB fanatics will get their wish too.
If we did get a new race, I’d think Largos, Tengu, or Kodan would be the most likely candidates, as they seem to be the most “advanced” NPC races currently out there.
If you do quit can I have your stuff?
having it in open world is a disaster waiting to happen.
Disaster?? For who? O.o The ones questing around then suddenly two savage barbaric players duelling killing the mobs in the way with their aoes and brutal attacks???
C’mon…
Actually that would be kinda helpful… but not the disaster I was referring to.
So, the disaster would be Players getting annoyed by Duel request spamm? what about the auto-denial option? and in the case of that “kiddo” type player jumping and yelling “Chicken Chicken won’t duel me, You noobb you nooob” /ignore.
I get your concern, but i think duelling in open world won’t affect any pve player, it will only add one more feature to the game, that won’t hurt anyone’s gameplay.
Auto-denial would be a good feature, but honestly it doesn’t go far enough. Also, the ignore/report option doesn’t either, the reason being that with the level of abuse that I’ve seen in past games, PvE players would be having to block dozens of whispers/spams per day, which is greatly detrimental to game play, and would in fact drive off more than a few players. This is why I feel that if such a thing is implemented it would do better in it’s own arena, so that the regular PvE players can be left alone.

Oranisagu, the biggest reason people haven’t cited specific examples of abuse is because discussing other games in this forum is against the forum rules. Even without such specific examples though, I believe it can be safely assumed that at least most of the people (myself included) have been victims of said dueling abuse at one point or another. As I and many others have said, there is nothing inherently wrong with dueling, but the only true safeguard from abuse and constant spamming is to keep out of PvE. Set aside a space in LA, The Black Citadel, or any city map, or make it an aspect of PvP where people can use their PvE gear, but having it in open world is a disaster waiting to happen.
It is possible to read the forums without logging in. You only need to log in if you intend to post.
It’s actually referencing a couple Terminator themed quests from Embark Beach. They’re actually pretty fun.
Me thinks some people need to get a heads up on getting their heads on straight.
Honestly, if you guys hadn’t been paying attention to the fact that it’s April Fools and are ignorant of ANet’s history of pulling a joke every year, it’s you’re own dang fault. And so is your lack of a sense of humor. I recommend you get one from the gem store ASAP!
If dueling is added to the game it should be added as an aspect of PvP, NOT PvE! The PvE environment was set up to be inherently cooperative. Even without that being the case, a dueling system will be heavily abused. And I’m sorry, but simply adding an option to auto-refuse duel requests isn’t enough. It won’t stop the endless flow of “DUEL ME!” message spam, and the block list is only so long. So make it an aspect of PvP, or create a new aspect for it, but keep it OUT OF PvE!
I forget where I read it, but from what I heard Hall of Monuments skins will remain free to apply and still only available from the Hall.
Actually some pants would be nice right about now… also something other than trench coats for medium.
I think there’s something wrong with the API interaction with this site, but it’s usually good at showing which temples are clear, including Balthazar. Good luck! http://www.gw2state.com/temples.html
100 Stones = 33 Charges
50 Crystals = 50 Charges
5 Splitters = 25 ChargesThere, fixed, and still equals 275.
1:1 crystals
3:1 stones
At the ratios they gave us, 100 stones = 33 charges and 50 crystals = 50 charges.

There, now it’s fixed
They said that Ascended equipment will become account bound. Whether that includes Ascended trinkets or not is up for debate, but since they said “equipment” in general I’d say those may become account bound.
That is an excellent question!
As for conversion, this is a direct quote from the blog… “Transmutation Crystals can be directly converted into charges, and Transmutation Stones can be converted at a
three-to-one rate.” Also, for more of a break down, this comes from the GW2 help website…
3 Transmutation Stones = 1 Transmutation Charge
1 Transmutation Crystal = 1 Transmutation Charge
1 Transmutation Splitter = 5 Transmutation Charges
Sources: https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/46419166-Wardrobe
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-wardrobe-system/
Transmutation stones are generally aquired as a reward for map completion and an occasional reward for daily achievement. Crystals and splitters are purchased from the gem store.
It’s not the end of underwater gameplay/combat. In PvE and WvW it will still exist, they’re just removing it from sPvP. In order to remove it entirely they would have to make some serious adjustments to the PvE and WvW maps and I don’t see that happening.
It’s never too late!
You would probably be better served to hold on to them until the merchant they talked about in the last patch shows up. You may be able to turn them in then.
Ok, so all questions about Transmutations have apparently been funneled into this thread. I’m not going to read through it to try and see if this has come up because it’s already many pages and I don’t know when the merging/funneling occurred.
So my question is: Transmutation Crystals are necessary to transmute level 80 gear. Transmutation Crystals are going to be converted into 3 Transmutation Charges. Will it take 3 charges to transmute skins onto level 80 gear? This goes two ways, one, no it doesn’t so if you bought Crystals you’re getting 3 times the transmutation out of them. Two, yes it does so after the conversion 3 Transmutation Stones will effectively work as 1 Crystal would have, giving us a free/built in upgrade design for them.
Actually this page has the conversion rate for transmutation items into charges. As for the cost per charges to change your armor appearence, it’s one charge per skin. For more info, go here. https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/46419166-Wardrobe
That directly contradicts what was said in the Blog that Transmutation Crystals would be worth 3 charges, while Stones would be worth 1 charge. This implies we’re being gipped excessively for our stones. Zone completion would only be good for one transmutation instead of 3. I have to wonder now which is accurate.
Direct quote for the conversion rate, copied from the blog… “Transmutation Crystals can be directly converted into charges, and Transmutation Stones can be converted at a
three-to-one rate.” They’re saying the exact same thing. Crystals were for level 80 transmutation, stones for 1-79, hence the difference in charge conversion. Only difference with the help page is it shows how much splitters will be worth as well.

The skin is the only thing that applies. You won’t get the ability to change stats on those weapons. You won’t get the particle effects, the footsteps, the weapon skill effects, and so on. Just the skin. Only you’re originally crafted weapons will be truly “legendary” and rightfully so.
Are you sure? the effects are part of the skin…
No, the effects are party of the weapon being Legendary. Before they made Legendary weapons on par with Ascended stats and the ability to change them, people used to make a legendary and transmute the skin to a stat set they preferred. In doing so, however, they lost all the visual effects associated with the weapon being “legendary” since it was no longer the original weapon.
Our feedback is what prompted this patch in the first place. The only people who are really complaining about the town clothes thing are those who mix and match, and in my opinion they’re the only ones who have a legitimate complaint to make. Honestly though, when it comes right down to it ANet can’t please everybody. There are going to be hurt feelings somewhere.
Mounts are both largely unwanted and completely unnecessary. There are more than a few ways to get speed boosts in game for map exploration, and the waypoint system more than allows players to cover ground they’ve already been to. They aren’t wanted, they aren’t needed
TwilightStorm, there is one other thing you should be taking into account. While yes, it’s true, after this patch you will have the ability to put your legendary skins on any like weapons… however, those won’t be legendary. The skin is the only thing that applies. You won’t get the ability to change stats on those weapons. You won’t get the particle effects, the footsteps, the weapon skill effects, and so on. Just the skin. Only you’re originally crafted weapons will be truly “legendary” and rightfully so.
Inculpatus cedo is right, also if you read the patch notes from the last major patch, they said that a merchant would be coming looking for relics from Tyria’s recent history. I could be mistaken in this belief, but that could mean anything since Flame and Frost started, possibly including fortune scraps.
Well, as she is looking for relics from Tyria´s recent history, i would say that you can trade them in with her, not that she is offering them.
Ahh, but we don’t know what she’ll be offering either, do we?
The logical assumption is they will be purchasable in the gem store, and possibly available from daily/monthly drops and map completion. However, that’s an assumption only.
Yes, I have broken it all. However, this was back when I first started and because I went into a dungeon without having repaired my armor before hand. I was young, foolish, filled with delusions of grandeur, lol

Repairs will still have to take place, they just won’t cost anything. Armor will still break. People don’t fix it they die more often. Don’t like how they’re playing in your dungeon? Kick them out and find someone who knows what the heck they’re doing. Sound familiar? It should, since that’s what’s been going on already. Paying 1-2 silver less won’t change that fact.
Sorry, I had to, I just had to… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shs7VQhVvxA
no, nein, niet, nunka, nada…
Most likely you got hit with a phishing e-mail. Do NOT click any links in the e-mail, just delete it. However, you probably made the right choice contacting support, just in case. However you may want to edit your post to make it less inflammatory.
Since it’s now been announced the prices of dye will go up for a while, but ultimately those prices will go down. At this point too many people either don’t understand how the system will work or just want to stock up, so that will drive up prices, but once everything is ironed out after release I think you’ll see prices start to drop, and probably quickly.
I see nothing wrong with dueling in a PvP arena. However, in my opinion it has absolutely no place in PvE. Not using the system, or having the ability to auto-deny duel requests is NOT ENOUGH! Being able to block players is NOT ENOUGH! I’ve played too many games where dueling was allowed in open PvE and it was nothing but constant grief. If you want dueling set up a PvP system for it, but keep it out of PvE!
Short answer? Yes! Doesn’t matter to me what race or class, I’d still make the toon.
