Yak’s Bend Server
Crimethink [ct]
You should have received mail containing unidentified dye, which would be the refund. Have you checked your mail? Did you make sure you have less than 10 messages in your inbox?
Depending on where they’re located, and how well your server is doing, sometimes you can wait till your server captures those areas, or you can sneak run them.
I want I want I want I want I want!!!!! PLEASE!!!
Somebody is a bit behind the times, me thinks.

Another content recycle.
It’s all they’ve done.
So what exactly is there to be excited about? Someone inform me please.
Here’s hoping the Gauntlet will have some new fights. Liadri and the 8 orb achievement were fun and challenging, but I’ve done them, and the game needs more challenging content. Who am I kidding, there won’t be any additional fights, just a standard recycle.
Yearly festivals are a Guild Wars standard and have been since the first game. In all honesty you’d be surprised at how many people look forward to stuff like this.
It is actually possible to salvage the runes from your gear assuming it wasn’t purchased with Karma or WvW Badges of Honor. Armor acquired in any other way is still salvageable, including dungeon armor.
Only real way to do it is to take a city asura gate to Vigil Keep and head south from there.
There is no level requirement to buy gems, either with in game gold or real world currency. From the gem store section of the Black Lion Trading Company, tell him to click the “Buy Gems” button in the upper left corner, below the total gem counter.
The Karma infusion has been working fine for me. I ran events all day yesterday for the monthly and had no issues. This thread was made quite a while ago, and a patch was released correcting the problem.
Hit F11 and go to the control options. You can completely customize the controls from there.
There is a Black Lion Armorsmith near the TP in each racial city. You need to speak with them about “town clothes” with each character. You’ll get your mad king outfit back.
Hi everybody! I’m looking for a Karma weapons guide. I used the guide on Dulfy to get some of the armor skins, and she did list a few weapons, but I was hoping there was more besides the cultural weapon vendors in the cities. Does anyone know of such a guide? Thanks!
One of you plays, the other looks over the shoulder and screams “kill him! kill him! He’s only a mob!”
There does need to be a wider selection of Aquabreathers available. The only rare types come from the Teq event and the only remotely fashionable skins have to be obtained from Creator Zee in Bloodtide Coast. There needs to be a much wider selection.
You need to visit the Black Lion Armorsmith in any of the major cities. I recommend doing this with all of your characters so that you get everything back.
I would actually support the use of both flags. American English and British English are not the same. However, I would have to say that the singular use of the British flag would not be the best idea to signify the use of either English language. Unfortunately there are many in the US who would have no clue what it means
I has a sad for the lack of education in my country
This has been discussed at length in the main wardrobe thread. Not sure why a new thread was needed, but if you are concerned, I’d post there since that is the feedback thread that matter.
For the record, whilst I understand the frustration, I personally still prefer the wardrobe as it is than what we had before.
I didn’t know about this till today.
Another disappoint….
Nothing to be disappointed over, runes and sigils are still salvageable from transmuted armor and weapons. Most likely the base of his armor was purchased with Karma or badges and he just forgot. Read my earlier post.
As an experiment based on this thread I purchased a piece of exotic armor, an exotic weapon, and a piece of dungeon armor, transmuted all three, then tried salvaging all three with a black lion salvage kit. In doing so I got a superior rune of the lich, a superior rune of the monk, a superior sigil of intelligence, a dire orichalcum imbued inscription, 4 ecto, 6 globs of dark matter, 1 elder wood log, and 1 soldier’s intricate gossamer insignia. Based on these results I believe I can safely surmise that the base armor that you are trying to salvage was probably obtained by karma, and therefore unsalvagable to begin with.
Correct me if I’m mistaken, but last I’d checked, it was possible to buy the traits from the profession trainers, correct?
I found this out too. If you keep re-rolling every class with the different pieces of starter armor, all of them will end up in your wardrobe. It’s kinda cool, actually!
I’m going to add to this list. Yesterday my roommate completed Straits of Devastation and Cursed Shore and didn’t get the map completion rewards for either map.
Aetherblades in Edge of the Mists also drop them.
You can also get them from the Aetherblades in the jumping puzzle in Gendaran Fields, and also from EotM.
Don’t forget you can still buy these traits from the trainers in the cities. You really don’t have to do the events, and they’re dirt cheap.
I’m finally seeing people on maps I’ve rarely if ever seen people on. I can shout out and say “Hey!” and get half a dozen replies back. Sorry, but I think this is a good thing and I hope ANet keeps it.
I love it to! It’s actually a challenge finally!
Check the patch notes for season 2. They said that any transfers that take place won’t be able to do WvW for at least 2 matches. You can still enter EotM though.
Ok, knowing what the MF is like, even if they said they improved some possible combos, why would you even try to use it?
I think in the end presenting ideas and suggestions in a constructive manner is better than telling the devs "if you keep “ignoring” me I’ll roleplay elsewhere!" I would myself be hesitant as a developer to address the concerns of the group representing the latter, but would really pay attention to all suggestions/player concerns made in good faith.
Also, I am quite sure they read these forums, but they just can’t address us directly or promise things they feel they may not be able to deliver. I would be silent myself if I couldn’t say anything helpful at the moment, or that will in the long run may even be detrimental (players complaining “but you promised!!!”) They do have a history of listening TOO MUCH at times, so I am sure they are aware of the unofficial RP servers’ concerns.
Between 2005 and 2010 me and dozends or hundreds of other Roleplayers called on Blizzard on nearly every possible occasion to finally aknowledge and adress problems of WoW-Roleplayers on their specifically provided roleplaying realms and to finally enforce the policy so carefully and – again – specifically designed for these realms. Several years of pleading, suggesting, hoping, more pleading, begging, asking nicely, demanding furiosly – all to no avail but about a handful of scarce, official CM replies along the lines of “If you think about it, everything is okay.”
So, in fact, "If you keep “ignoring” me I’ll roleplay elsewhere!" actually IS the only passable solution. Us roleplayers are a group so small and our needs so specific, any provider directing at them or aknowledging them would open up a pandoras box of fixing every little knack for every Tom, kitten or Harry out there. Not gonna happen.
I really do hope, the system is still adjusting and right now only learning, how to put us together. But if it doesn’t, if what we see now IS the system working nicely and finally…well. I am not in any circumstance pinning my hope on the devs aknowledging our problem and responding to it with actual solutions apart from “guild up, yay!”. They’d have to expend ressources clearly cut in general or needed elsewhere.
In the end, every user and his specific playstyle is equal in front of the EULA. For every provider and every MMO ever. A company telling you otherwise is luring you in for a disappointment on every possible level.
(German native here, sorry for mistakes.)
I have to say that this is about the most intelligent post I’ve seen yet in regards to this. Well played, well played.
Visit the black lion armor specialist in any racial city and ask about town clothes. You’ll want to do this with every character you have just in case you have something else on them.
I haven’t seen this addressed to any great degree yet, but I have to ask… When will the Historic Vendor (IE Blade Shard Vendor) be released? Most people assumed, reasonably so, that it would come out with the feature patch. Does anyone have any input on this? Just curious.
ANet has said on multiple occasions that they won’t be implementing race change. Personal story is part of the reason why, but there’s also issues concerning cultural armor, racial skills, and the choices you make at character creation. I’m sure there are a few more things on the list, but that’s some of them anyway.
I’m not going to read every post, but I get the gist of it, and I agree. We need a wider pool of options for daily achievements again.
ANet actually listens very well, which is what brought most of the changes in the patch about in the first place. Account wide dye? ANet solved it… Low population on maps? ANet solved it… Locker system for skins? ANet solved it… Trait system revamp (which has been demanded many times)? ANet solved it. I’ve been reading about demands for these changes for months on end, and now that ANet did as they were asked, suddenly we hear from the other side of the coin who couldn’t be bothered till now to speak up. Sorry guys, too little too late.

Yes, it’s possible. You’ll need to submit a support ticket asking for a refund.
There’s an app for that…
Seriously? Leveling in this game is so easy it isn’t even funny. Removing it would solve nothing.
Honestly, I make a good chunk of change just playing the game normally. If you honestly need tons upon tons upon tons of gold to feel like you’re playing the game, then I believe you’re still holding to that ancient MMO mentality that ANet wanted to change, and that’s why you can’t enjoy the game. You have my sympathies.
Megaserver in Orr is one of the best things to happen to that place. There’s actually people there now! If you don’t like the temples staying open you can spend a bit of gold and skill points at a trainer and unlock them that way.
You can view how many transmutation charges you have under the currency panel of your hero menu. It’s been put in the place of Glory.
… to take forth your squirrel… to the bagel shop, cause I need a bagel, with the creamy cheese and the cheesy cream!
Sent a mail for a refund on all my town clothes and costumes because thanks to the new system, none of them can be dyed properly anymore.
Why didn’t Anet make the wintersday outfit into a individual item skins also? Why were regular town clothes turned into a frikkin’ tonic instead of skins for individual pieces? And why can outfits only by dyed as a whole instead of per piece like they used to?
I expected some changes, and some loss of items, sure. But this update made &all* of my many town outfits worthless. And it didn’t have to happen…
There are actually four dye areas on outfits, and I found out that you can hide the head, shoulder, and glove parts by hiding the corresponding armor piece. Not AS customizable as before but not nearly as complete a loss as this makes it out to be.
These topics are often extremely amusing to me. Why does one need 10 characters if there are only 8 classes? Well, I guess everyone plays differently.
Not only this, but why do people even bother transmuting before 80 anyway? Rush leveling or not, you’re still changing gear often enough that it just seems a waste to me.
It’s gonna be big, really big… bigger than big, it’s gonna be huge! Gigantic! Enormous! Titanic even!
Ultimately there is no “best” way to max level. However, playing normally may get you to level 80 in anywhere from 3 days to a week. By playing normally I mean map exploration, running the events in those maps, doing your personal story, and so on. Also, if you’re looking for the dull and boring rout, there is a champion train that runs in Queensdale that can get you leveled in about the same amount of time.
You can put any offensive infusion, obtained from Laurel vendors in PvE or WvW (which also need badges) or regular Agony Resist infusions obtained from the vendor in Fractals.
It should be noted that while yes, ANet will be nerfing the champion bags, the only thing they’re changing is the amount of silver/gold dropped. I can’t speak for other servers but in Yak’s Bend the players tend to be out for the loot, both the exotics and the possibility of ascended drops.
While Order skins can only be acquired by toons belonging to said Orders, they’re not restricted. People used to transmute/split the skins all the time to get skins across orders. I don’t think there will be a restriction once they’re unlocked.
This is actually a pretty good idea. I’ve got tons of boosters I never use either and wouldn’t mind exchanging them.
