It’s not a threat and any new mmorpgs that comes after it. It will follow the same mmorpg formula until something new comes with a different element. Blade n Soul is okay, but the character designs are a bit wacky.

I play this song when a pvp match has too many thieves, mesmers or elementalists cause I know I’ll got wrecked.

I know it can be removed, but I’m also talking about it stacking by various players. The way the system handles condition damage is when one player applies condition damage. It can overwrite that player’s dot damage if theirs is stronger instead just adding another players dot damage like they have in WoW.

If condition damage can stack with other places damage having a outside number to the left of the icon dictating how many condition users using that condition. The game will just have to increase bosses HP. WoW been doing it for years I hope it can take a similar direction. I favor condition damage more than physical on my warrior.

Of course for pvp overall damage both physical damage and condition should reduce by some % so it can balance due to stacks.

Why all this “I want feminine Asura/Charr” stuff? If you want femalenss, roll a female human. That’s what they are there for. The other races are different in order to be different. To use the fantasy genre and GW2 univese specifically to displace yourself from real life, to make characters and storylines that couldn’t exist in the real world. This is part of the appeal of the fantasy genre and fantasy MMO’s. You can’t blame the game for not giving you options; you’re the one who chose to roll Asura in the first place, knowing full well that they were different from humans.

Asura are not human. What they find feminine is not what you find feminine. Stop projecting your cultural ideas about clothing onto them.

Asura value ear and head size above other traits. A balanced, symmetrical face typically called “cute” by humans will be referred to as “deformed” by Asura. They expect their females to have long supple ears, a gracefully curved ellipsoidal skull, enticingly slender pointed teeth, and the highest IQ possible.

Why would you want to look like just another human Bookah, anyway? Yuck.

This is a fantasy game and would like our female charr and asura toon to wear feminine clothes. Their female human, norn and sylvari friends thought it would look cool on them. The trend begins there where they have a choice to wear whatever they want. It’s all about creativity plus you don’t have to wear it if you dislike it. Not every female charr and asura are the same. They got different taste in accessories and now coming from realistic point of view. Not every player will have interest in playing human- sylvari characters. What you’re saying is suffer with the consequences when rolling an female asura or charr. All we just ask is for more variety for those two specific female race to wear female attires or have the choice to. If it can’t be implemented through existing armor sets. Then at least do it through gem shop because I guarantee many will buy for that purpose.

After all….Fantasy = freedom of creativity.

I’d vouch for this concept of female Charr and Asura having 2 armor gender option choices, even if the envious females of other races start an uproar. I’ve been waiting for this concept to happen ever since this game started.

If the daydreamer outfit had a fusion between male and female I’d buy it for my charr. Not fond of the male version so that’s one outfit I ain’t buying.

What are they buffing though? Builds or certain abilities that may have longer durations?

I would like if they buff in diversity overall lol. That’s like my pvp dream, but back on topic. If they’re buffing them in the wrong directions then heck we will see nothing, but Mesmers in hotjoins.

The cries from the playerbase reminds me of the beta handout sheet from WoW beta MoP. Even when they still got in all they did were duels and talk trash. They didn’t contribute nothing, but filled up empty server slots. The same will be done here.

The problem isn’t that Jory/Kas are gay. The problem is that there is nothing to them aside from their relationship. It’s intrusive, adds absolutely nothing to the plot, and is the single dimension of the characters.

Think about the people you know in real life. Now, how many of them have a blatant need to push their relationship on everyone they talk to, during every single conversation?

It’s possible to write relationships in such a way that they are present, without detracting from the story. Anet has managed this marvelously with meathead and the cat lady. While I personally don’t care at all about anything in the LS, I recognise that meathead and the cat lady have been companions for a long while, with mutual sympathy. It’s implied, without beating me over the head with it.

Kas/Jory, on the otherhand, come off as written by a 13yo who’s self consciously aware that they’re writing about lesbians. “Better hit them over the head with this, every second word. We have lesbians – aren’t we progressive!”

and that’s why I ship Rox x Braham because it can work now. Those two started out as allies, became friends after Braham’s rejection and gotten closer during the Scarlet event. Rox stopped reporting to Rytlock to chill with Braham more and that means a lot since she sacrificed her goal to be a part of Rytlock’s group. Those two are iconic to the GW2 franchise and always recognized they’re together. Nevertheless I hope to see more character development for those two in the next expansion.

Back on topic if by chance they do bring in more male characters and one of the new faces develops a gay relationship. I hope it’s done right and built up properly compared to Kas x Jory. If they didn’t implement that kiss during the Scarlet event, but actually in the bar for celebration where’s Kas expressing her feelings to Majory. Then I can reconsider shipping them because after all the events they’ve been through.

To make a little jester…all I can say about that kiss is that Kasmeer placed a love spell on Majory so that she’ll love no one else, but her. Seems legit right?

Maybe the character/s were too shy/stessed/occupied prior to the victory.
Maybe they shouldn’t be held to the same romantic standards as others; what about Demiromantic or Grey-Romantic people who are very selective about who they care about?
What about people who fall in love easily?
You can’t say none of these aren’t possible because they ARE possible.

It might of been planned, but the romance done it that show was horrible. Only Bolin and Varrick was decent and it didn’t take their character development away unlike Mako or Korra. Asami well was just there to be there besides being a engineer specialist. It got nothing to do with hetero or non-hetero couples. It was the story and how the writers presented it. Who knows maybe the potential of that show was gutted down due to Nickelodeon stipulations. However it just shows lesbians are still easy to implement in a story than gays. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it’s redundant if you ask me.

Yeah, but I have my doubts about the feasibility of a romance between two races that are so different. Charr/Norn – I mean, charr have all those teeth; a kiss with a Norn would be really awkward, if even possible. Charr have all that fur vs. smooth skin. And, um, not sure if they could actually, you know, really get it on comfortably, again due to all the differences in physique. Also, is there any evidence Norn consider Charr to be physically or sexually attractive?

Friendship is obviously doable, but anything romantic? I have my doubts.

The only thing I can counter with that statement is “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” Braham and Rox could possibly be only attractive to each other. Friendships sometimes or mostly do blossom into an relationship.

It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but look how Disney did Beauty and the Beast. Despite that beast started off as human, but even with the curse Belle still accepted him. Later on in the movie we witness the friendship between the two blossoming into a relationship. The audience still accepted the concept cause we know Disney’s theme and we went with the flow. It’s make believe anyway plus it’s a fantasy world. The same can be done to Rox and Braham eventually if the writers decides to take that approach. I’m all for it because it can be done right than forced.

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been observing a lot of professions movements while being gank from the rear end. I’ve improved a bit since and it’s paying off, but some professions have it good though.

Really? I know no one who isn’t annoyed by this force fed relationship.
If I had a choice none of the characters would have a relationship- it’s plain annoying and none of them is that liekable or has got that much character/story that one would wish him/her to “find the right one” anyway.

Good story telling with decent character development makes an awesome game or something to remember for a long time.

How many do they have and why isn’t it on a cool down? Is it a weapon or a skill? I understand thieves are suppose to be master of deceptions, but not spamceptions. I’m pretty sure this concept has been brought up many times. Just don’t like the gameplay style of it.

ahh youth..youth and kittenbag ism. Anything dealing with LFG brings that crowd which isn’t new to any mmorpg. Except in FFXIV ARR. I haven’t encounter too many kittenbags in that game besides tank rushers.

Are there any good PvT builds out there that’s viable for DW sword and GS? I’m trying to enjoy warriors, but at the moment I feel useless to the team.

I’ve been trying to push a PvT build using Sword and Sword / Great Sword combo. It’s alright, but meh at the same time.

because I’m feeling warriors are obsolete now compared to other professions. I know some have gotten great with them in arenas, but that just shows how limited their builds are when entering Spvp.

If you want to be super cute and girlish you’re playing the wrong culture. Asura don’t care. Have you ever once heard any Asura talking about clothes? No, they’re talking about building things, changing the fabric of the universe and other intellectual pursuits. That’s what Asura care about. Clothes are just a functional necessity because that’s where their pockets go, and pockets are useful for holding tools.

Then you have to remember that not every Asura or Charr will follow the same trend once exposed to new concepts. Some may have interest in wearing super cute girlish clothes.

Yeah I understand the designer wanted to create something different for those specific female races, but let it not be tied to cosmetic armor that you buy from the store.

The main thing about creating a fantasy world is creativity and not having accessible options lowers the fun factor no matter what the theme is.

I guess depending on your character’s theme I could probably agree with ya, but I’ve been long tired of that trend when it comes to cosmetics for those two ladies. This was such a good move that it brought a smile on my face.

I believe it’s at least the third one. They can also wear the female version of the wintersday outfit.

I only know Wintersdays which was my first outfit when that event came out, but every other after that was male version until Imperial outfit.

Before many will criticize my post I would like to say cosmetic outfits from cash shop should have no affect to their regular attire they wear in game. It’s just an option to dress up your character and I like my asura and charr to look pretty while wearing them.

It doesn’t have to affect the charr lore at all you keep bringing. It only affects the players and it’s an optional choice at that. How’s this…the armor can stay the same, but at least change the gem store outfits for them.

I understand all that, but these are just cosmetics for your own character. Can it only just be applied to players instead of npcs?

No I’m just looking for diversity / creativity. I’m all into making things look epic and representable. It was okay at first but after while its just very bland. I would like if they could differentiate the armor.

Times changed and I want to look different. I’m best friends with a female norn and human. They taught me their fashion style and I want to wear it, but some unknown force prevents me from wearing their attire. The only one accessible is the wintersday outfit. I grown tired of my rough, tough, aggressive serious theme so I want to look cute and adorable now while fighting my enemies. I don’t care if it’s a dress, skimpy or whatever goes on that list. If Hello Kitty gets to wear cute stuff I want to as well.
