I guess not many players uses this trait or not aware of what stances are affected by this trait. I just hope the devs look into this issue and fix it up. It’s disappointing that a few stances aren’t affected by this trait.

The game has variety, but as you said certain professions such as the warriors are pretty limited and they don’t bring much to the table which is why I switch to a thief especially if its pvp involved. I got the patience to wait because this game isn’t going anywhere, but I know what you mean about the frustration part about warriors potential in this game. I play a condition warrior hardcore because that type of warrior build appeals to me than the normal cookie cutter greatsword with axe /shield combo. I get a lot of trash talk mocking when I play on my warrior especially playing as a condition spec than I get on my thief.

I know one reason is because a lot of good pvp players know how to counter warriors and they always mark them first to get the easy meat bags out of the way.

The other reason I get trash talk is due to my cousin trash talking back when playing on my warrior giving her a bad rep…meh.

I play with a P/P build and I don’t do bad with it, however I’m not saying the gameplay is overly good because the damage can be tone up just a bit. Even when I tried using the berserkers amulet in pvp I still got the same damage results as if I was using the knights amulet. So I scrapped the berserkers amulet and stayed with knights amulet mixing it up with the rampager jewel. I now have over 50% crit rating and have +20k hp for survivability because playing in Spvp or any pvp zone you’ll expect to be ambushed by zergs. I don’t spam unload unless it is necessary depending on the fight or if I am with my group. I usually C.M.A using the 5 skill button to get the blind aura to survive a lot of assaults like the 100blades warriors and believe me when they miss their combo you’ll see them running until it’s back up. If you want to play with P/P I recommend you use the sigil of force for extra 5% damage which can stack with executioner trait and the 10% extra damage with pistol trait. Use any pvp runes that will give you a extra damage % boost like eagle or wurn. This will make p/p gameplay worth while to play.

Ranger downed state – once his pet rezzes him you might as well leave him alone. Twice we killed his pet, and his life still ticked up and up until he rezzed even with 4 (FOUR) of us wailing on him. Rediculous.

For a thief depending on builds their evade is limited underwater and the best they can do is up to 3 times underwater, but like I said it depends on their build

However, when purported “top” players from both sides of the pond start attacking each other like 9-year old school children, they laugh (at you) and move on.

Learn to respect one another. Trash talk has no place among serious teams and serious players. It’s not your fault that this game’s competitive scene is an afterthought, but that’s no excuse for acting like babies and making yourselves and the community look worse than it already likely is.

Which of these builds can excel in both fields and while some others can’t?

I’m doing this because it can save a lot of frustration on warrior players trying to find a way to have fun especially in pvp instead of feeling underpowered when the odds are against them.

You’re a burst dps warrior not a condition warrior. I know con warriors can be viable in groups, but playstyle and solo roaming trying to hold down a base before reinforcements shows up is truly not their specialty. I’ve seen a ranger do it better than a warrior overall being both a roamer and bunkerlike.

Gaile Gray says the staff don’t take your report as fact, they have a look into it themselves. Unless their staff are lacking intelligence, there is no way I can believe that any human would do what you just said, unless there was some kind of huge misunderstanding.

You posted on my thread so I think you understand the situation here as well for this guy case. Perhaps there was a staff member who did not read the players who reported us thoroughly to see who is truly at fault.

If you can’t believe a human isn’t capable of doing that then think again because they’re evil people out there that can turn the case into their favor.

No it doesn’t reveal the real reason why the player got the suspension. It just tells you due to bad behavior and etc you’ll be put on a 71hours suspension. Considering how a player becomes attached to their character, having a forceful character name change and a 3 day ban does leave a very foul taste. It can be avoided by reading the naming policy and abiding by it as best as you can.

Putting a 3day suspension on issues like this isn’t the best way. Yes it is a disgusting name to look at, but it isn’t that much of a big deal. The best solution for this case is an automatic name change. If he doesn’t listen 3 times then he deserves the 3day suspension.

The Guild Wars 2 Naming Policy says that you cannot use that name. Ignorance is not bliss. The 3 day ban is to teach you not to ignore the rules that you agreed to upon purchasing and playing Guild Wars 2.

Even so but not to the extent to put them on 71hours suspension. I can understand if the player did it three times not listening to the warnings Anet gives them. If anything this is a forceful rule that may make customers leave the game.

You have to give people a chance even though some don’t understand the consequences when you give a bad name to your character. Everyone is bound to make a mistake even if it was intended or not. They shouldn’t be put on a suspension without any warnings.

Yeah that is the sad part about the longbow trait for extra range. You have to spec into it unlike Rifle which makes Longbow unappealing to use sometimes.

The Trait comes with a few hidden bonuses though:

Dual Shot becomes a guaranteed Projectile Finisher instead of the 20% chance by default.

Fan of Fire becomes a Projectile Finisher.

Smoldering Arrow becomes a Projectile Finisher.

Still you have to trait for it >.<

You can do it solo, but you’ll need control skills to keep chieftain still and evade his boomerang or whatever he throws. Chieftain weakness is pretty much cripple, immobilize and knock backs like any other player that doesn’t have a stability ability.

Had a person get upset over supplies in WvW last night and after calling me a string of names threatens to get me banned by reporting ME. Now I have played MMO’s since everquest and never been banned or even suspended. usually they require some PROOF or you to be reported by more then ONE player in order to do something like this.

Not only am i suspended for 56 hours but my only way to get resolution is to file a 48 hour trouble ticket?

I know the feeling man because we have to suffer for someone who was having a bad day and to make worst while they bad mouth us with vulgar words. They get off scott free because they use the report button on us.

I wish this game could provide warnings than giving automatic bans / suspensions especially for players that don’t really deserve it. I mean at least give us a reason to defend ourselves if we don’t truly know what the issue is. This is very frustrating and also depressing on Anet part. I hope they can improve their service when investigating the case and truly see if the reporter is actually the one at fault here instead of the victim.

If they did their laws like in some other mmos I’ve played and WoW is one of them. Once you get 3 warnings for whatever the case is if it’s your fault. You’ll receive a 71 hours suspension from the game and if it continues 3 more times you’re permanently banned from the game.

This would be a lot easier on the innocent customers because they can make a ticket to support their case if someone is trying to report them due to unnecessary stuff that they aren’t truly at fault and still play the game.

I was notified that my account was suspended due to bad behavior which I haven’t done any besides having fun with my team. I didn’t use any profanity or words that would hurt people feelings and anything towards in that category. I can say I was having too much fun and minor words slips like when I finished a player I say stuff like spread em or inc hotdog, but not in a way to hurt a person feelings. There was this player name player Tammy moore a asura necro who did reported me because she told me. Tammy the asura necro must of gotten upset at me probably because my team was organized than hers and I guess she did not like my talking which probably added more fire to her fuel. I did not know she was upset until auto balance put me on her team. When I was placed on her team she already gave me a negative response and calling me a F word backwards gaf with a few other bad words after that. I accepted the fact she was upset at me because I have killed her a few times. However I will never ever report a player due to something like this because mainly it’s pvp where anyone with a big ego gets upset quick over any minor things. She told me she reported me because I was acting like a hotdog which I was but not in a bad way. I did it in a playful way and others joined in and some people called me happy for doing it, but they did not take it serious as Tammy did.

I don’t think I should be punished for 71hours for this type of behavior especially if it was out of revenge because their team wasn’t winning. That’s pretty much the case here on my part unless there is something else that got this account suspended if this wasn’t the case.

If this case can be resolved soon to remove the block off my account then I’ll be truly appreciated because I don’t mean any harm to this game or the players that plays it. It’s only for fun, but to those who take this game serious I can’t say much for them and that’s scary that they took it to that level to make a player that was having fun feel miserable.

I’ll stop this minor behavior and won’t say anything anymore. I probably won’t do pvp either, but for those who play pvp constantly just don’t say anything even if the bad word is light where it doesn’t hurt a fly. Don’t say it because the player who is bad mouthing you will report you and you won’t even know it.

Warriors with 100blades should be the least of your problem. Look at all the other professions that can do much better than a warrior 100blades combo. There are a lot of professions weapon skills similar to 100blades that has no place in Tpvp if that’s what you’re calling high level pvp. However it serves a purpose if your teammates or yourself have control skills to make 100blades connect.

It might not connect to mesmers and thieves profession due to their teleport stun break moves which I think is a bullcrap a mechanic, but that’s what Anet wanted for those two professions to add more survivability.

While it satisfies me to know that I caused someone to ninja log or quit out of a match simply because they didn’t want to be downed or killed, it is slightly frustrating when trying to keep decent matches going in sPvP. I guess in the long run it doesn’t matter as much since it isn’t tourney, but still.

I have noticed an up trend in people avoiding being killed by leaving the match. Often this is preempted by smack talking for a bit till they get downed.

I think we all need to man up and accept our wins as well as our losses and just enjoy the game. This will make it a better environment for everyone.

Adrenal Health should be affected by healing power I mean I thought it did. I chose it for survivability which the warrior profession lacks.

So we’ve all seen the vids. We know who’s capable of this.
What I’m asking is for any of the elite warriors out there to please post a vid and your spec of your warrior going 1vGroup (4-5+) and winning, spikes and all. Please.

Just went 1v6 in WvW on my d/d ele earlier today before XMas dinner. Home again and hopped on my thief to badge farm, having a nice 1v4 before character swapping.

Went on my warrior again, because he’s who I really would like to “main” and…

Yeah, 1v1’s ok (unless it’s one of the godly 3) and 1v2 if they’re both upleveled but tried to charge a 5-man group in open field and only managed to down 2 of them, no stomps before getting handed my plated butt to me. From a scenario most likely I would have grabbed a few bags from if I died at all on my ele earlier.

So please, if any other warrior has accomplished the same battlefield potential in 1vGroup scenarios post up a vid or two and show us how it’s done. Otherwise it just feels like all the gold, all that time farming and levelling to complete a warrior was just wasted effort.

The potential that warriors got right now Braxxus. The answer is no because they don’t have the survivability to go up against 2 or 3 professions especially if they happen to be very good players. I feel where you are coming from Braxxus because the only thing I see from a warrior only being good at 1 vs 1 burst. The lack of defensive boons and toughness not being worth to spec into over 2k is what kills the warrior class. Plus, not having many different other builds to be viable and participating more in pvp is another downer for warriors. It reminds me about what I said on a thread a yesterday.

It sucks that this is the only potential a warrior got in GW2 just like any other profession in this game. It’s either burst, bunker or nothing and that’s pretty much it. I wouldn’t mind seeing a condition warrior once in awhile, but due to it limits it is most likely we won’t see any videos of that build or even better yet, a bunker warrior holding down a base as good as a guardian, caltrops thief, bunker eles and many more that can do this job until back up arrives.

This is all that GW2 has to offer for pvp in general until changes come in the future. Hopefully, then we won’t have to keep seeing the same old burst / bunker videos all the time. Finally, seeing some variety of different builds participating in pvp serving its purpose and players proud to represent them in their videos. Plus, giving new and veteran players something to look forward to test.

If this is the best thing they can come up with a warrior game play in pvp. I might as well play a guardian since it is also another heavy armor class, but have better survivability and support defensive boons they can keep up constantly.

Hmm. I don’t feel the female Charr player voice is “too girly” at all. Are there specific lines that people think are too feminine, or is it just the general tone, or what? Because I’m really not seeing it at all. “Too girly” is the last thing I’d use to descrribe the female player voice.

Is it just the clarity of the voice as opposed to the male voice which is gravelly / raspy? Or “growly” as someone said a few posts up?

I felt that way too about female Charr voice doesn’t sound girly at all. I guess if they had a little “growly” in their tone maybe this topic wouldn’t be brought up.

I don’t know about that build because depending on what profession you’re facing. I think you will lose a lot due to the fact your hp is low and conditions can eat through defense as if it was a morning breakfast meal with strawberries.

Like other people mentioned, we just need to see damage numbers pop up when we hit a stealthed target. But, I don’t think damage should break stealth.

Fighting other thiefs as thief myself I dont even need that. I got 3 signs if I hit my enemy or not.
1: my signet heal will show me a green number if hit
2: my buff food will heal me in ~50% of my hits
3: my 2nd/3rd autohit wil be activated

Almost every class got a way to see if his/her attack was successfull or not, so its simply not important to see the dmg but still I wouldn’t care if it would be visible.

I think the main problem is when it’s dagger offspec cloak and dagger that they can keep using that ability to go stealth and with the support of the Shadow Art they stay stealth for another second while regenerating their health and removing conditions off every 3 seconds.

That move is pretty much an escape goat if shadow refugee fails, auto stealth at low hp and healing stealth.

People would say if you don’t like cloak and dagger ability then don’t use it, but whats the point? The ability is very good and so many ways to abuse it when fighting a large numbers of players while dropping caltrops to maintain a base.

This is pretty much what I meant. The voice actor isn’t bad, she does her part well. But her voice is a bit too high-pitched and well… as you said, girly, for a charr. I really prefer the other charr female voices, like Shredskin in the Blood Legion storyline. Her voice is low and harsh, perfect for a charr in my opinion.

I do like the voice actor of the charr female, I do, but her voice just doesn’t seem to fit the charr as well as the lower voices in the storylines do. This is all of course just opinion based.

I don’t know…I know its an opinion, but the way you’re viewing the female charr’s voice as if they were female asurans and to me female asurans have the girly too high pitched voice than a female charr. The female charr voice is like medium pitched with a tad high pitched when they want to /laugh or use shout attacks.

I must say stealth is a serious issue here because I can play on my thief and keep using Cloak and Dagger to go stealth again. erase conditions off of me and taking on 5 vs 1 at a time and beating them all. My caltrops stacks quicker than my warrior flurry and the duration stays at a high number for a very long time than a condition warrior bleed stack.

Any skill that has a stun affect should work, like Bull Charge. If it is a weapon that can stun..then you must swap to your GS to do Hundred Blades

The female charr voice is far from being feminine……heck it’s not feminine at all.
That’s a voice for a strong independent / courageous leader woman and it does fit the female charr’s pretty well.

I guess people want a little grrrr in the female charr’s voice like if I use the skill For Great Justice. It will go like For Grrrreat Justice!

For conditions warriors in pvp..I can say the best amulet for them Rampager’s Amulet. To make conditions harder to take if even though that can be done easily depending what profession they are..use the Rending Strike trait instead of Blade Master trait. Having the Rampager’s Amulet we don’t really need the 10% extra critical percentage for sword because our critical percentage is already high with that amulet.

If you’re going for a condition warrior build then use sword/sword so bleeds will always stay on your opponent. Opponents hate when they’re impale because even if they remove it bleed stick..it will reapply until impale duration disappears.

Use Longbow for groups and for immobilize control especially if you have bolas as one of you skills.

Use rifle for mainly bleed stacking, kiting and knockback control. Never use kill shot as a condition warrior because it hits very weak compared to a burst cannon rifle type*
