Here is what i use. Also furious is amazing. You can literally use your f1s off CD. Also since dual shot is 2 hits, if both of them crit your getting 6 strikes of adrenaline from one auto. My favorite part is the longbow auto hits twice, allowing twice the chance for on crit affects. I’ve gotten 10+ stacks of bleed and burn, all from just using LB.

Runes are pretty important. We get 50% bleed duration from traits, 40% condi duration from food, and 10% condi duration from runes. In total, bleeds are 100% duration, and burns are 50% duration. Plus that fear from the x6 of nightmare always seems to off at the clutchest moments for me.

No healing signet? :0 and shouts are pretty bad without traiting for them and even then… You’re toughness is to low, thats why cavalier/knight is better. And not using food gimps you a lot. 30 in arms without unsuspecting foe is a big waste.

Shelter is still a lot better than the meditation heal, you need to do A LOT of dmg in that 4sec to be worth it, not to mention you can be CCed/slowed so you don’t get anything. The 2 sec block from shelter is just too strong, especially with a glassy build like this. (Not all that glassy with aegis, protection, teleports, lots of heals, and tons of blinds)

In WvW of course youll hit harder and have more survivability thanks to higher stats.

I like it since its not the typical condi build. I may run something like this next week.

I dont know if i give war horn enough credit, i love the block and torment from sword, and since this is already more survivable than youre average condi build i think the extra dmg from torment (and a low CD block) are better. Plus you get to technically have 4 shouts with shrug it off. I really wish somehow deep cuts, cleansing ire, shouts heal, and fast hands could all make it, but its just 5 points short.

I am a tad worried about adrenaline regeneration without adren on shout use or furious, so i wont be able to spam my f1s as often as im used to. (No stability will take getting used to too, but with 2 low CD stun breaks im hoping itll be OK.

I’ve also got a few questions. Why not go full out apothecary to get 3k shout heals? Why war horn over OH sword? And finally, hows burning arrows?

I added a more balanced build where youve actually got a really good chance of killing someone. And torment runes + medkit are a match made in heaven. Not to mention youve got 19k health, 2k more than the other 2. Also just bumping because ive come back to engineer from warrior (i know) and have some newfound love for this build.

Right hand strength wont show on your character sheet, so you actually have 52% crit chance, before fury. 3k armor and 15k health, combined with all the blocks and blinds you can put out, as well as a 2k heal on every meditation use, (the shortest one being 16sec, best used as another big damager with a condition on you) make this a very survivable build. Remember to use the shield on focus not for defense, but for offense. When it explodes, it can do upwards of 7k on glassies. Im not sure if you know, but you wanna precast it before a fight, and a split second before it explodes cast the immob on scepter and JI. Nearly half their health will be gone, and they’ll be immobilized.

Oh yeah only for solo. When you get past 5 people i think something else would be better. I forgot this was for zergs. But you can always just use a guard for stability.

Eh…i love toolkit. I love the 1200 pull (great for pulling into bomb range), its got the best block skill in the game, the #3 allows you to actually damage people, and the #2 is great for kiting around/keeping people in kiting range. I probably wouldnt do it, even against a hammer warrior, but its personal preference.

Thats all well and good, put if you want to keep progressing in high level PVE you have to adapt to the meta builds which are all full DPS melee, unless you find a group of friends that doesnt care. You could just use your warrior for fractals and youre ranger for whatever else.

Well there aren’t any capes in the game, but other than that i think the WvW armor is a close fit. Rangers can’t use a staff btw.

You’re problem is youre not spec ing for any damage whatsoever, but you’re going all out on survivability. If you don’t want people to just run from you need more damage, and possibly different weapons with JI.

It got changed recently to scale with your adrenaline level. I dont know what you mean by needing 100% but it should be 3 bars. 100% adrenaline is 3 bars and there is no inbetween like 2.5 or 1.25 or something. Only 1, 2, and 3

Id try a hybrid PU mes for roaming. You’ve got TONS of target drops and active defense, and really good dmg through phantasms.

When you test it use a rabid amulet just to see how much better it is not being hybrid. You need power, precision, crit dmg, condi dmg, condi duration, toughness, and vitality. You simply cannot get a good mix of those stats in spvp. Id try celestial amulet if youre set on hybrid tho. When you tweak it dont get rid of furious, as thats the core of the build. You can use your f1 skills of CD with it. And deep strikes is a bad trait since i actually use my signets. Facing a hammer warr or fear necro? Pop dolyak signet and kick their kitten . Getting loaded up on condis by an engi or necro? Pop signet of stamina and zerker stance. All the utilities have a purpose, just use them at the right time. And warriors sprint is just personal preference, im there for fast hands. ( which technically means you could take 5 out of there into defense for extra power with your hybrid.)

Get more power and crit dmg. 1600 power is EXTREMELY low for a power build. Try and hit 2k before bloodlust stacks.

I beg to differ. 4k armor with 40k effective health, not including HS and adrenal, which get even better the more toughness you have. Full PTV is only 50k effective health, and the FAR superior damage of knight/cavalier far outweighs the health.

Some people don’t seem to get it. It being whatever the game is trying to be, and its something different for everybody. You see it on the forums all the time. I’m coming up to my one year anniversary in GW2 and it took me a couple of months to figure out what I liked about the game. This is what i think too. I’ve been playing gw2 since November last year and it took me a couple months to finally “get” what the game was about.once i got “it” i figured out what i like the most, always trying new things if i ever get bored.

Well the build in my sig is very tanky and supporty, but it doesn’t have based and the damage is pretty low. Fun when you wanna tank 3+ people though.

Do this. Your build is way to squishy. And FGJ does nothing for you, you have signet for fury. Vuln on crit is also useless. Its very hard to do hybrid builds in spvp due to reduced stats and you can’t mix very well at all. Burst mastery also doesn’t do much at all because your burst skills are condi based. You don’t really need lyssa with cleansing ire and zerker stance, i find most condi classes are dead by the time zerker stance wears off anyway. Doom sigils are good, my personal preference is just earth to get 25 bleed stacks whenever you use flurry. Doing that immediately after leap will finish off anyone.

The guts? Wow how brave…if you look at my post history ive made at least 30 different posts on condi warr. Any lone who still doesn’t think condi warr is really powerful has had their head in the dirt. I just get mad when people post the generic condi build and act like Nike said, “an angel appeared to them in the night and revealed unto them the most OP warrior build evar!!!” When in actuality people have been running this since before torment was introduced.

Could have fooled me. I have been running condition warrior for months but I rarely see other warriors running it and have never seen one running my build.

I run 0/25/20/10/15 with rabid and undead. I would post the full build etc but on my phone at the moment and I hate posting on phones. No internet until Wednesday, in the process of moving.

You obviously don’t pvp much if you don’t see many condi warrs. Most common build with the most common profession. And that 0/25/20/10/15 is more or less the generic condi build, give or take a couple traits.

I know 3k is high, that post was directed at the person above me. And with all great mesmer builds, condi clear is always a problem would GS/Staff or GS + Sw/P be better?

Can you 1vX very effectively with such low toughness?

Recently hybrid builds have been appealing more and more to me. I liked how someone said in one thread, “if you focus too much on one, if you run into a counter build youll have a hard time. Combining condition and direct dmg means nothing can directly counter you.”

So after mixing some stuff around, i came up with this.

The weapons that come to mind when i think hybrid are pistol, GS, and staff. Ideally I’d have all 3, but staff is hard to get lots of offensive pressure with, which is why i chose GS. iZerker and iDuelist are the best phantasms to proc sharpening images, since theyre both multi hit attacks. They both hit very hard directly, and apply lots of bleeds, and thanks to traits, attack 20% quicker. Sigil of battle in both weapons since might affects both direct and condition dmg. Once you get the might stacks flowing (really easy with mirror blade being only a 4 second CD) the final stats are 2100 power, 1000 condi dmg, 60% condi duration, 65% crit dmg, 30% crit chance, and 2k toughness. This looks really strong for WvW roaming, but im looking for critiques and help with maximizing both the direct and condition dmg.

For spvp just use rabid ammy. Missile deflection is my new favorite trait for PvP, those LB zerker rangers, kills hot warriors, and pistol thieves will literally kill themselves.

My immediate reaction though is that on a defensive build I’d have a hard time putting 20 into Chaos and not finding 10 more for PU. It’s a strong trait. Would cost you some damage to steal 10 points from elsewhere, but might be worth a try as well.

I havent tried it yet, and that is what i was originally thinking, 30 in chaos and inspiration. But then id have to trade all my utilities and offhand Sw for torch, which would kitten the damage to insanely low levels, and i wouldnt get either iDefender or iDisenchanter

It already does have a cripple on the auto attack…

While maybe CD reduction is OP, it does need something. 10% condi duration is nice, but it needs to be more than just a stat bonus IMO. Maybe something like "sword skills have a chance on crit to cripple or bleed. Make it really short base duration like 1 or 2 sec cripple and 2 or 3 sec bleed. Make the chance on crit 30%. This would make people use rabid over dire more and synergies well with the 10% crit from Blademaster already. Or maybe make it “all cripples inflicted by your sword have a chance to inflict immobilize” but then its just like leg specialist :/
