Basically what raccoon said, in reality they should actually move faster (along with the charr) then Asura, Humans and Sylvari but since they do not want all races equal sacrifices have to be made.

Sorry but won’t this limit players who don’t zerg? The only champions are inside heavily fortified towers and keeps that can only be taken down by zergs, which are widely despised by every WvW player. Can you please add more champions outside the keeps and towers?
I want the thaumanova fractal that’s why I vote for Keil, quite a few of the devs have said that fractal is far, far better than the Abaddon one, which apparently is medicore and disappointing…

every ele weapon set is viable in PvE, it will depend on the purpose.
scepter mainhand deals burst damage
dual dagger for more sustained damage
staff for large AoE CC’s and support.
the lightning hammer is when you want to feel like a warrior and 11111111111 your way through content

That’s does not really answer the question as if you ask person A if they feel useless using for example longbow in dungeons, they will say yes. But if you then ask person B they will say no.
So, if we’re talking DPS, then melee is by design capable of more DPS due to the safety provided by range.
That being said, with the actual meaning of viable being used, yes all weapons are in fact viable even range. There are exceptions in PvP however, for example a Ele trying to use staff in a 1v1 fight is just begging to die. However a Ele using staff in a zerg vs zerg fight in WvW is able to put some very respectable pressure on the enemy from a distance.
So far it seems like it’s maybe a 75% chance, possibly a 50% chance to get a Scrap from a Chest. That would be 15 Keys if that’s a close estimate; So 7.5 hours on my end.
I’m not sure where you got those stats from, I thought it was more like 10-25% drop rate. See all the other threads about it.
Even though the scraps might be a “common drop”, they have to compete with lots of other common drops from the BLC.

Your keyfarm sounds cool but only if it’s more fun than say, CoF; otherwise you are grinding for $3 an hour at best. I suppose you can make it interesting with different characters, and switching to other storylines.
Keep in mind that the Queen’s Jubilee is around the corner, along with fresh shinies. A few more of these temp contents and Aether items will be yesterday’s news.

No one was pining for Sclerite weapons. Most agree they were some of the ugliest weapons and disapointing new skins yet.
However the pistol for example is one of those “perfect” skins. It’s simple enough to have a classy look, but not so simple as to not have something that makes you look at go at the very least “cool”. That being said, I don’t see most of the other weapons retaining the same value as the pistol.
Divinity’s Reach has a serious renaissance vibe to it and clockwork fits right with that. The sudden introduction of these automatons, however, clearly points to something sinister in this LS arc though….
To some extent that is acceptable, I do understand that divinity reach already employs clockwork in their garden, however I still strongly feel that the humans should remain the mid-evil race, and the Norms the spiritual. If that should falter, it will lose its elements of fantasy and no longer be the same game.
I think you mean traditional fantasy, fantasy these days is a VERY lose term with so many sub-genres and honestly GW2 right from the start never fit the traditional style of fantasy. Divinity’s Reach also fits closer to a Renaissance period, at best the closest is comes to medieval is being a combination of the two periods and even then Renaissance is the stronger of the two by far. In fact I recall Anet stating that was their very goal from the start.

That being said, since I am willing to bet something will go wrong with the clock work soldiers, I doubt they’ll replace her soldiers entirely. Add to her forces? Sure, but replace them entirely? Unlikely
Farm keys via the lvl 10 quest if you really want/need them. 1 run can take 30-40 mins solo and a lot quicker if doing with friends. Find a guide or look on youtube they are out there.

the personal story, level 10 chapter gives you a guaranteed key. People farm this. create new character, do story, level, do more story, level, do level 10 story, get key, deposit, delete character, start over. I hear one of the human story lines is the quickest/easiest. takes about 20-40 minutes depending on how many people are helping you.
Tip: You DON’T have to level up at all. You can rush straight from the very first quest and complete all quests up to and including the lvl 10 one from the very start of the game. I do so and usually finish the lvl 10 quest at about lvl 4 or 5 from all the level ups from the quest rewards.
Personally I found human, middle class story to be good for this, I found this very early on, then read on forums and saw on youtube that everyone else prefers this path too lol.
You can pre-make gear for your character to use just don’t go any higher than masterwork (so that it remains account bound). Having the Deluxe game or whatever it’s called really helps too as you can access your gear (bank) right from the start of the game.
PS, did a few low lvl quests on one of my alts earlier today and noticed there are now NO cash rewards for quests. Anyone else notice this? We used to get some good cash for the 1-10 lvl quests and now nothing. Maybe because of all the key farmers?

This trick has not been a secret since the 3 day head start. Anet knows about, but they don’t care, because at the end of the day it is faster to buy them.
And tbh, all signs point to GW2 not exactly struggling to make a profit.
If I recall correctly, champion loot will be based on level.
For example, Queensdale champs would drop tier 1 mats. Orr champions would drop tier 6 (likely including lodestones) mats.
Also for the new weapon skins, I THINK each champion will have a unique skin drop instead of all sharing the same skin drop pool, but not entirely sure.

Looking at this robots artificial body features, I’d say it’s a woman, not a ‘guy’.
Why did they take the high road on the female charr and make them look almost identical to males but give sylvari and that robot boobs? I know the sylvari were explained as the tree making them in the image of humans, but the robot is confusing.
Simple, the watchwork were (as far as we know) made by humans, and as a result it makes sense for them to design the watchwork in their image.
Hell, we do it (or at least attempt to) in real life.

Honestly I’ve never really been impressed by legendaries. Part of the reason is it seems like people who get Legendaries make no attempt to even match their gear. Or if they do, it’s Twilight with the typical red/black color scheme (although that I blame on Twilight itself).
To me, a well put together matching outfit with a simple long sword is hundreds of times more impressive and interesting then a Legendary by itself. That’s not to say I have not seen some very nice Dawn + armor combos.
That being said, I prefer my corrupted weapons over the legendaries.
I am not angry at all, but repeating myself to you several times is just getting old. Let me demonstrate (see attachments below). In GW1, FDS and IDS were completely different weapons. Fellblade was also its own weapon. In GW2 there isn’t even an IDS so for all intents and purposes, the Breath of Jormag is the IDS – Which is separate from the FDS skin available from HoM.
However, a Fellblade is a Fellblade is a Fellblade and this is just a colored resized skin of a Fellblade. I have no problem adding GW1 weapons into GW2 (check my previous posts I am an avid supporter) so long as they aren’t tied to HoM.
Now check my attachments and tell me those are the same. One is a skinned version (exact replica) from GW1 and the other is a craftable exotic themed around Jormag. It has nothing to do with double standards. They are all separate.
Oh I never claimed they were the same, I did however show your own logic can be applied in the reverse. Yes, the the dragon swords are noticeably different. Yet they share similarities especially at first glance. The exact same can be said about the fellblade and this new sword. That is the fatal flaw in your argument that you are not getting.

I’m not. In fact my warrior dual wields FDS main hand and Breath of Jormag in offhand. I did it on purpose. Icy and Fiery Dragon Swords were both in GW1 and IDS was not promised as a HoM reward.

I was really hoping for some sort of personal waypoint device. Something that would enable you to teleport to a location of your choosing from anywhere in the game, or at the very least, return you to your race’s home city.

As I said in another post, I think both candidates are evil. Both will bring about the destruction of Tyria. Kiel through lying, backstabbing, boring aetherblades and nuclear destruction. Evon, who already has all the money in Tyria (20% tax on all items, duh), wants to find out how Abaddon gained his power – namely, “from an older deposed god” (see wiki). Evon will want to personally destroy Tyria as a deity.
We don’t get to vote whether Tyria will be destroyed, but how it will be destroyed.
If Tyria is to be destroyed, I’ll choose the cool way. From a guy who’s at least not hiding his treacherous nature.
Anyway, disappointed that the rapier is going to be released in this manner. Prices on the trading post are bound to be absurd, 200+ gold if not higher. I wish it had been another 800 gem BL store skin.

queensdale has so many champions… it’ll never get out of overflow now.
I would wager that some champions drop weapon skins unique to them, or unique to their level bracket. It doesn’t make sense to farm the easiest champions for the best loot.
My guess is they’ll try to make the weapons fit the boss’s “theme”.
So for example, I imagine the rapier would drop from pirate ones, such as Covington.
That’s supposed to be a unique HOM reward. Now not only is it no longer unique, but all we have is the plain dark Grey 2h version that’s roughly the same size as these ONE HANDED SWORDS.
As a GW1 player who has 30/50, I have only this to say
Who cares? To some, the HoM one looks better, to others these look better. At the end of the day, it’s still a unique reward.
Oh boy. Considering how we had people going into psychotic outbreaks after getting the “soulbound” Zenith skins with their characters, or when they didn’t receive the Zenith skins they “should have received” from the first achievement chest, I wonder how many dozen topics we will have from people complaining that ArenaNet stole their badges/tokens/moms/whatever.
