I still find it hard to be shocked with a last name like that.
Change that horrendously wimpy female GS animation and I MIGHT consider a human.
Also the pure utility that comes with the Guard heals trumps anything dwayna can do.
…………I’m not sure how feeling compassion for their companion and not wanting to lose them is whiny.
But ok
oh yes! it’s a new style tattoo that I first saw today. OR did I forget it?
No it is new. Anet likes to sneak these in without saying anything.
Casual gameplay is not rewarding enough given the policy-aims Arenanet stated.
.
Wrong
At most, I play about an hour or 2 a day, maybe 3 if I spend it chatting in map chat. I always have enough to give away 10-20 gold and then it all back rather quickly. I rarely run dungeons and only some times do the major boss events,
No.. Your face is funny. It’s like a little raisin.
Pff, now watch some Moderator will come in here, not knowing where that came from, and hand you an infraction for saying that to another player.
Speaking of which…….I’ve been infacted so many time with no punishments. Starting to think the mods are just dogs without teeth.
oh god hope this never happens. did not buy this game to see half naked males running around
And I bet you are perfectly happy seeing half naked females running around.
I actively avoid skimpy outfits on my female characters, and yet I’m limited by my choices as a result.
Personally I say it’s high time we stick males in a male stripper outfit, fair is fair.
The one where you man that suped up golem. I forget the exact name, but it’s the one with the golem that has the shoulder mounted death beam.
I think a decent solution to this would be to introduce NPC henchmen who can join you in story path dungeons.
Everyone who played GW1 will know what I am talking about.
I should point out that I recall the popular opinion of most fellow GW1 vets is that heroes “ruined” the game by giving the community increasingly less reason to interact.
Not that I am agreeing or disagreeing, just felt it needed to be pointed out.
Imagine barrage being mobile… The animation would look like a person, playing a guitar while running.
I kind of want that now just for the animation alone.
So for all who said was not a bug why when underwater does cast time go to half a second?
Because underwater skills are weird.
Honestly………yeah this would be why. Underwater skills have never felt………right…to me.
Anyone but me notice how…..different……….her tone is when you finish her trials? There’s one line in particular where she cuts herself off, and the way she says it……….I don’t know. Sounds like either she as a thing for her first mate or she’s faking.
Could be nothing also of course, just the sudden change in tone and then change back caught me off guard.
Yeah it is completely unbalanced compared to the other one.
But the reasoning is pretty obvious. People will grind the achievement anyway because they want the points. This is Evon’s game and Anet wants Evon to win. Many more people will play the survival game, thus giving evon a ton more points and helping him win.
Keep in mind this is likely not the last change to LB, I recall it being said they wish to combine some skills, and out right change other skills completely. For all we know this could just be one part of that.
Evon said he supports the Flame Legion’s attempts to destroy humanity in Ascalon, so I doubt he’s going to care about Cantha.
I don’t mean switching Cutthroat Politics to another city. I mean the arcs beyond that. It wouldn’t be very hard to write the next arcs to be focused in another city.
All hints (data mined lines, the tent over the great collapse, the centaur-esque figure on the concept art of the next release etc) all point to Divinity’s Reach being the next focused on city.
sub·jec·tive
adj.
1.
a. Proceeding from or taking place in a person’s mind rather than the external world: a subjective decision.
b. Particular to a given person; personal: subjective experience.
The topic should have ended right here, I’m loving survival myself, yet to try arena though.
That’s basic shot animation for thieves. Our arrows have a small blue energy spinning around.
Ranger’s Hunter Shot now as well.
Proof that these forums are quickly losing grasp of concepts they complain about.
And so the tin foil hat parade begins
Maybe I should go into the tin foil hat market……….
So, basically because your choice seems to be losing (how you can know that before the actual vote and event is started) you think that ArenaNet is “intending for the other guy to win”
Would we have seen the same thread had it been the other way around I wonder?
This is the case essentially.
Remember when people were thinking Kiel would win easily? The cries “OMG ANET WHY SO ONE SIDED, WHY HATE CHARR!?” were all over the place.
No, I don’t remember that happening. It’s always been forumites going “Gnashblade is an easy win!” right from the start.
You weren’t here when the rewards were originally leaked then.

The only race I can think of matching that front figure is centaur……..but even then I’m not convinced.
For once I find myself utterly stumped.
Among other benefits the stealth on hunters also let’s you cast the beginning of barrage without detection.
I am so wet right now.
I doubt they have long term scenarios for both already finished, from a financial point of view it doesn’t make sense to purposely waste time on content we’ll never see. This is why they have said they will not begin work on the new fractal till the election is decided. As someone said, it tends to take a few months for new politicians to settle in.
So what will likely happen is one living story team will start on things relating to the winner, while in the mean time we’ll be getting living story updates unrelated to LA with at best very minor influences from the election.
This is not counting the price reductions and mini game rotations, I imagine that will be fairly easy to implement quickly.

Oh bloody hell, when are you people going to stop being so one dimensional and only thinking about the rewards. Think about how voting Evon or Kiel is going to futher the storyline. Right now the one track mind is really suiting the Evon voters and his character.
I feel I should point out that Evon possibly having some religious interests (flame legion connection perhaps) could potentially lead to some rather interesting results.
At the same time, considering I feel this is a power ploy by Magnus, him trying to influence Kiel could also lead to some interesting results.
Either one is a potentially good choice lore wise, so it really does come down to the fractal in the end.
I’d like to point out one could easily modify your reasons, and apply them to the reactor.
On the subject of Evon, one of the Reds (Colin I think?) implied Evon may have religious interests in the 6 Gods.
I don’t understand why businessman = devil in everybody’s mind.
Evon/Anet is not a good businessman. He rips his customers off (RNG Skins)
without delivering a quality product for their money.Anet should take the skins out of the BLC’s, sell the skins outright, reduce the price to 25-50 gems each, remove items like permanent bank access from the game.
RNG is RNG.
You have a chance at getting what you want, and ArenaNet makes this very clear every opportunity they can get when dealing with these items. Don’t blame the sellers for the buyers’ bad choices.Las Vegas is required to post the odds of their gambling machines.
I love how you are trying to ninja in a jab at Anet’s cash shop (which is honestly one of the better cash shops) by bringing up Evon originally.
It’s possible it’s between Magnus and the WP inventors/current managers/whatever.
Magnus seems to be throwing himself completely in for Kiel…………..which is another reason I don’t quite trust him.
While I don’t see why people are comparing Kiel to Trahearne, in fact I always got the feeling that she never wanted the glory in the first place and still does not, there is one thing Kiel supporter seem to be forgetting:
There is every possibility this is a power ploy by Magnus. Think about it, Magnus appears to be buddy buddy with Kiel atm, so what does he seek to gain by getting a new, inexperienced in politics leader, on the council? He gets more power by proxy.
With Evon, we know what we are getting. With Kiel, we are getting a potentially horrible or excellent wild card.
I’m still torn myself. I like Kiel, but I don’t trust Magnus.

While I don’t run DPS focused Guard ( I run a balanced guard using AH/EMP) I think it’s generally agreed that zeal is a waste to invest fully in.
Yeah, it’s even bled beyond the forum and often into TC LA map chat. I argue this is potentially the first “truly successful” living story event. Not to say every single previous one was a failure, but this is the one I feel where things really get going as far as what Anet intends living story to be.
All I want for christmas is the paragon spear.
Guildhalls? housing in general? Heroes or henchies? Or dungeons that scale so you can do it with fewer then 5… GW had it right.. you never were forced to team up there to do anything.
And yet, in a lot of GW1 vet eyes, heroes are what killed it.
(Avariz, real world notions and personal opinions of what Avatars are in the real world don’t factor into this at all.)
Because in the real world Avatars are used to explore the planet Pandora, which is a horrible 3d planet, as we all know.
But back on topic, it would be very interesting if we got to see Abaddon’s side of the story. Was he really such a bad guy? Or were his intentions good?
I’ve always felt like his intentions weren’t completely bad? He was originally enraged by the other Gods limiting the gift of magic he had given to the races of Tyria. It sort of seems like he believed in absolute knowledge and thought this was something that should be shared with the races – whereas the other Gods were more concerned with the effects of this and how the races would use magic. It also seems like one of the catalytic moments was induced by the Margonites fanatic worship of him, so his actions in attempting to protect them aren’t entirely unjust. “act with magic, act within reason, act without mercy” Sounds pretty logical to me xD. I don’t think it was a case of good vs. evil in the beginning but perhaps more just that his opinions on how the races of Tyria should be treated and the information they should possess differed to the opinions of the other gods which caused a lot of tension between them. In the end though attempting to pretty much turn everything to Nightmare seems pretty bad to me xD.
This is what I got out of what we currently know about him as well. Abaddon was just doing something he felt was right, and it went horribly wrong for him. I personally feel like the Abaddon we knew was a result of him having nothing but his likely feelings of betrayal and hate to drown in.
I would change my Norn warrior into a human one, because all heavy armor looks kittenty on norn female compared to human (except c3 which every norn have now >_>)..
tent-mode norn is not appealing.
I beg to differ
I have yet to see any female guardian or warrior that made me go “wow, wish I was human” after putting together this outfit. Screen shot is not the greatest, have issues getting good shots of her that satisfy me (lots of small details I feel are missed). If you want we can meet in game.
(edited by Celestina.2894)
Vote Marjory for that outfit and hair.
But how does it determine who is which god? It can’t go by class, cause more than one can be in the same group.
Could be random.
My god this thread is already hilarious.
It is clear that GW1 players will vote for Abaddon, while GW2 players can’t relate and will vote for the fall of RNG boxes (what i too would do), so Kiel.
And since it is GW2, it’s completely unfair to have a race between the 2 group of players.
GW2 players will vote for a kittenty reactor explosion over a God’s fall..
I’m a GW1 player, and I am actually quite torn between the two.
Yeah I made a thread about this in the lore forum just now………I’m rather torn.
Also, I’m thinking the fall one could in fact be the final battle. Think about it, each party member being turned into one of the five gods in one final battle against their one time ally.
So for the lore junkies I feel it will come down to what we would rather learn about:
The fall of the god of secrets, secrets that we could probably REALLY use right about now
or
The supposedly reality altering reactor incident.
Myself, I am kind of torn. On one hand, we have the chance to see an event that changed to face of Tyria in very noticeable ways. On the other hand we have the reactor, which made potentially countless subtle changes in the fabric of reality itself.
Note: Posting this in lore because I feel that since this is directed at the people in this subforum, it makes the most sense.
I’m curious about where this pre-champion Glint info is coming from as well.
Tbh, the more I think about it, the more I feel we may not get new classes simply due to the fact that our current classes cover a vast majority of arch types and as such would only need new weapons.
New races on the other hand, that I feel is very likely.
its not about a lady its about Glint
Well………technically………….that means it is about a lady……just not a human lady.
Is Celestial gear even that good? I know it has all stats, but not as much in any particular category as other specialized armor sets.
I would like to know that too. Which kind of build of which classes can benefit from Celestial gear?
Yeah, actually. There’s also the Superior Rune of Divinity that’s sky high in price on the TP, but I never knew anyone who used it.
The only class that gains a clear cut benefit from celestial gear is Ele, and even then people will debate it. Guardians also to a lesser extent can gain some benefit from it, but even then it’s debatable on if it’s worth sacrificing the advantages of a more focused set.
Personally I can’t stand wasted stats, so I prefer a more focused set.

I believe Anet at one point said they were working on a solution for kits and such visually, but it was on the back burner in favor of things like custom arenas.
That being said, I believe the majority those things have recently been finished, so it’s very possible the time for kits is soon.
