The currency wallet will not have the 250 stack limit. Currencies in the wallet will behave in the same manner that gold and karma do currently.
Oh thank god
They’re likely the Sovereign weapons.
We just had an assassination already, I doubt they’d do it again so quickly.
A kidnapping? That I could see.
A kidnapping is what I am expecting, Caud-whatshisname is likely going to be involved with Scarlet somehow
I’ve honestly never liked things like this. You’re basically tossing everyone who has been unable to play for long periods of time into the same box, and then punishing them all regardless of their reason.
And for what benefit? The ability for people to be even less creative with their names then they already have to be?

Id rather see some expansion than living story.
With dungeons, events, locations, hearts, gears, levels..Don’t forget personal story and actual voice acting for our characters. I don’t think my character has had one line of spoken dialogue since the introduction of the Living Story.
And new skills, maybe even new class? new weapons..
If you read over the blog post about the future of GW2, new skills have been confirmed to be the next progression step. And in a interview soon after on I believe it was MMORPG.com it was confirmed that they plan to give every class access to most if not all weapons.
Personally I dislike the part where you turn into mist. I feel they put that in just so you don’t feel disappointed when you die quickly. It doesn’t help though.
I hate the searching and waiting for the last few survivors to drop. I hate there is so little blue orbs … a spectator mode would’ve been better than mist form.
ALSO … the game doesn’t reward you for staying alive, but for killing other people. One game I was 2nd last survivor and the score put me on 8th or 9th place.
So you hate waiting for the last survivors to die…………..but you hate that the point system encourages you to be aggressive, thus speeding up the game?
I really dislike being 1-shotted from full health.
Combat just comes down to who pushed their button first. If Survivor used Aspect Arena’s combat system it would be a lot more fun.
You mean the one shot that has a massive wind up time?
The massive wind up time that isn’t even visible on asuran models?
The enemy suddenly standing perfectly still isn’t a dead give away?
What puzzles me is I for what ever reason, I seem to remember reading years ago(way before release) that the game engine was going to be totally new and different from what was used in GW1. Must have dreamed it.
They lied like Bethesda lied about Skyrim’s engine which is same old stuff but modified, same thing with CoD:Ghosts and their crappy engine from 1999…
Wrong, it had been known for at least a year or two before release, GW2 would be based on a modified GW1 engine. There was lots of speculation before that however, which is where one may have gotten the idea of it using a entirely new engine.
look at MudBone post, “years ago”. I heard the same thing, “years ago” and years ago they lied.
Read my whole post again.
Also, plans change in development. You can’t seriously be naive enough to think otherwise.
It was a LOT LONGER than two years ago this was heard/said.

Ok, I read it again for the third time, what am I supposed to see in that 3 line paragraph? You said two years before release and what I’m talking about is 4 to 5 years before release is when what I said was mentioned by ANET.
That anything before that was speculation at best.

I laugh as well, a buggy mess like all Bethesda games is coming and somehow people think it will offer any kind of challenge for Guild Wars 2? Yeah right.
Except the game isn’t being developed by Bethesda. Don’t let facts get in the way of your ignorance, though.
Whats the saying, People in glass houses……GW2 had/has it’s fair share of bugs.
All I know is that in GW2 fighting a dragon = Stand in the same place and hit a foot.
In the last Bethesda (only got buggy for me when I modded it to hell and back) game, well, I didn’t hit many dragon feet or stand in the same place for the duration of the fight either especially with the harder dragons mod.
Which fight will people remember the most favourably I wonder? You seriously don’t think things like that will have an effect on peoples decisions?
I honestly thought that even with the dragon difficulty mod, Dragon fights were tedious, boring, and pointless in Skyrim. Especially……………….whatever his name was…………the black one, blanking on the name. The final “fight” with him was even less impressive then Zhaitan’s. At least Zhaitan was visually impressive.
About the only fun I had with vanilla Skyrim was the dark brotherhood chain.
But then, I found Skyrim was only fun other then the dark brotherhood chain once you modded the hell out of it. Not worth playing otherwise.

Both GW1 and GW2 “ruined” other MMOs for me.

Hmm, and here my Norn was abusing the heck out of Snow Panther form. Because no one with an ounce of imagination could figure out a use for OMG-long stealth and a monstrously long sprint, nope, nope, nope…
Can’t say I miss the puny human prayers at all.
I’ve been using it since my guardian obtained enough SP myself in WvW.
This has become the “norm” for companies these days. “Oh everyone does social media so let’s post all details there and forget our own WEBSITE that our customers mainly use”.
I think I’m going a bit too far but I think this info should also be INGAME.
Sadly this is the case, and no it does not really make sense.
ArenaNet has already decided the victor. Players aren’t actually voting for anything. It’s all a sham by ArenaNet to make players feel like they have an impact on the world and to get them to log as many game hours as possible.
Just think about it…
52% / 48%…well within the margin of error for polling which essentially renders the results as 50% / 50%.
No in-game method (or any method for that matter) for viewing real-time vote counts.
Do you honestly believe the vote count is so close because of an even split in the player base? Or is it more likely that ArenaNet has produced those numbers out of thin air in order to spawn political debate on the forums and to cause players to log more game time to rally around their candidate?
I know this mini game will be available forever but these skins will be available as a reward too?
I’d imagine so, but I have yet to hear any yes or no on it.
You know what, I don’t care who wins.
But if Kiel wins, and the waypoints are reduced… once the waypoints are returned to normal price, nobody better complain.
Grimno, where have you been? Of course people will complain. That is the very nature of this forum.
Oh my God Anet for the LOVE OF DWAYNA!!!!
NO MORE TRENCH COATS FOR MEDIUM!!!!!! PLEASE!!! >_<
To be fair, it is one of the best trench coats so far in my opinion.
Do that w only Exotic Crafted Gear and no Ascended pieces.
Then come post it.
I’ll be waiting………..
Ascended gear really amounts to much less then you think it seems.
Most Kiel supporters are uneducated, and are voting only for the pretty face. But worry not, this is far from over. Evon didn’t get to where he is by quitting. I’m sure he’ll be doing something interesting to spice up this race.
/eyeroll
This is getting as juvenile as the presidential elections.
Not sure if I should have expected much else.
Tbh at times I think it’s all in good fun……………there are times I am not so sure though.
I use my 4th mouse button, the thumb one, for dodging personally. Feels more natural.
As someone who has full (or as full as we can get for now) ascended gear on my guardian , I can tell you this.
Unless you infuse it with agony resistance for high level fractals (I’ve done level 20 without any agony resistance just fine btw), it’s absolutely meaningless.
And I am so happy about that, even after spending the time to get it. The only reason I myself am maxing my crafting now for ascended armor/weapons is because I’m hoping for a nice ice set so my Guard can match her corrupted weapons. I could not care less about the truthfully insignificant stat boost.
As it is the only reason I am decked out in ascended gear currently is because I had the laurels and commendations and just figured “meh, why not?”.

Yes, Witcher 3 does
but again GW2 already looks good
Not sure why you are having such a hard time understanding I could not care less.
Because you’re ignoring the fact that DX11 improves fps. No matter how much you don’t care about graphics, fps in game that runs at 15 in zergs certainly needs it
I’m fully aware of the benefits
I just don’t care about them, especially when there are far more pressing concerns.
I’m sorry the idea is beyond you.

As someone who is running a Direct X 11 card, I have only one thing to say
I really could not give less of a kitten about GW2 running on 9 instead of 11
Why? Don’t you like this game’s art style? Your character’s and his/her armor details? You don’t want to see this game run better? Pretty ignorant if you ask me, because DX11 makes everything above BETTER
I does
but the game looks good already, better is always good, but once again
I could not care less if it did or did not
Pretty ignorant if you can’t grasp something so simple

Yeah……..the statues look really low quality to me. Have to agree with Erasculio here in regards to the statues.
the “Our Time is Now” trailer was the strangest video I’ve ever seen from any gaming company. I thought it was a joke until the last few seconds of the video lol
I thought it was a support to “Occupy Wallstreet” at first haha
I see your strangest claim and up you one Japanese zelda commercial
That’s not strange, that’s awesome.
And is that Link a girl?
Yes
And yes I agree, Link makes a rather cute girl.
I know you didn’t ask that…….but you know I’m right.

…………oh god
why do I have a feeling 80% of the ppl voting for kiel only votes for her for the cheaper waypoints?
More likely, the majority of people voting don’t use the site and have no idea what either is actually offering, and simply like the person they know and view as the “good guy”.
Did you know if you talk to Kiel or Evon INGAME you can ask them what they promise?
If people can’t read, it’s their problem, but it’s not an excuse for why Kiel is winning.Personally I think ppl vote for Kiel because it’s “against RNG boxes” and not really because of cheaper waypoints. On the other hand, most Evon supporters are voting for the fractal, which is more stupid imo, maybe Abaddon sounds better, but it doesn’t mean it will be actually better.
Since we don’t know the true numbers, Anet can chose whichever candidate they want. Maybe they’ll be honest with the election, maybe not. We will never know. The only thing I know for sure that whichever candidate wins, the other party’s biggest supporters will cry and whine about it and will accuse arenanet for cheating…
Of course ANet will cheat. You don’t honestly believe that the players have any real influence on the outcome of this election, do you? The outcome was decided weeks ago. That’s why Facebook’s vote count appears to be so close and why you cannot view the vote count in real time in-game. It’s all a sham meant to draw players into the game to grind for hours upon hours in hopes of deciding the fate of Tyria.
And you guys bought it…hook, link and sinker.
“The locusts have always been here. Sleeping, deep beneath the earth, beneth the sea. Witing for the time to rise”. That time comes when the necromancer blows his horn.
On a side note. I wonder where the birds for the ranger’s Hunter’s Call comes from as well. At least in places outside the open world such as at jade maw.
Well, it has been stated all classes use some degree of magic (even warrior) so………..magic.
Not that shocking tbh, Anet never really made a big deal about the likes save for the initial announcement.
While I love the trailer visually…………the voices……..don’t fit for the most part.
Also, I could only focus on the guy stabbing himself in the throat at the 43 second mark.
This is suddenly reminding me of people complaining about feed back and wall of reflection.

Votes so far:
Kiel – 1,249,185 (52%)
Evon – 1,153,093 (48%)
While these early exit polls are not indicative of the final result, it doesn’t mean that Evon supporters are done. It just means we’ll be buying a lot more votes.
Please don’t bother. The winner has already been decided in advance so that the living story could be made. This was a clever tie in to make the players think they have a say, but I think most of us are smart enough to see through the illusion.
To give an example though I recently did my own test by standing there and asking people to link their support buttons, not the tokens but the actual buttons that show the vote. 1153 for gnashblade to 237 for kiel. Sure it’s only one server, over 1 hour so it’s not scientific at all. I know that, and yet I’ve not seen more than a few people that are actively support kiel over hours of play. The majority seem to get enough to get her achievement, and then that’s it.
Maybe Borlis Pass is just heavily leaning towards Evon Gnashblade, and the other servers are equally tilted in other directions. I think that it’s far more likely Anet has decided the winner in advance in order to keep their schedule for the living story.
Does anyone really enjoy either the Crucible of Eternity or the Mad Asura fractal? Because I’m quite sure it’ll mostly just be more of that in the Thaumanova Reactor.
I do actually
i think some people are just being … how you say it?
sore losers?I’m not a sore loser. I’m a sore winner.
“Go away ghostie!”All jokes aside though, the ghost form kind of encourages sore losers by letting them troll to their heart’s content if they lose.
Except they need to find revenge notes
Which you’ll often find other dead players competing over.
I feel it is currently to early to tell personally.
Ask me in……….maybe a year, and then I’d feel I could give a unbiased answer.
abbadon is the gw2 lore abbadon is everything abbadon is all that matters
abbadon is, and always must be
Abbadon also created magic. Without magic, there’s be no Eles, Mesmers, or Guardians. So that means Guild Wars 2 would be nothing but Thieves running around in stealth. So that means the following:
A vote for Kiel is a vote for Thieve’s Stealth!!!
Unless I’m mistaken, Abbadon did NOT create magic, he simply gifted it.
which has the exact same outcome on all of the world….
I’d argue if Abbadon had created magic originally, that would likely put him well above many divine beings and thus I doubt he would have been defeated.
So yes, it is a important distinction.

TR = Asuran sci-fi garbage.
We need less sci-fi/steampunk and more wizards/magic.
Perhaps if you peaked out from under the brim of your wizards hat once in a while you would of noticed that Thaumanova is about chaos magic and dragons.
No, it’s sci-fi. They can say that ‘magic’ works the waypoints and portals and all that other Asuran technology but the fact is, it’s nothing more than sci-fi garbage. If the Asura used magic, they wouldn’t need laboratories, technological devices, portals and waypoints. Instead, they would wave a wand or utter an incantation and whisk themselves away to their Wizard Tower.
The Asura’s creations are what you would get if you gave the greatest human minds in history access to magic.
Yes, their technology comes largely from magic. It’s not overdone, boring as hell “traditional” magic, but all Asura do in fact use magic.

Good. Im going to add another 200 votes for Kiel this weekend.
No charrs in charge.
You could have used that chance to spell it has charrge
But no, you had to go with charge
Shame upon your family!
Close race, so far. I’m glad it’s not a landslide either way. That’d be boring.
Tbh it’s about what I expected, both have clear benefits.
That being said, now hopefully the tin foil hat conspiracy theorists can shut up about it being rigged for Evon.
……I kind of want a Donald Trump character now, just because of how hilarious he already is in the real world.
I honestly don’t understand the attempts at comparing this to a social experiment………it just doesn’t work. And even if it was, it would be a hilarious crappy experiment full of holes making any data from it worthless.
Trying to fit a square peg into a round whole as they say.

As much as I hate scepter myself……..I was forced to hate it with a great amount of respect after it allowed me solo Mai Trin and Horrick in the aetherblade dungeon, everyone but me died from the first cannon barrage so it fell to me to finish the dungeon for them.
I think it’s bad form for ghosts to tell living players the position of their opponents. So no, they should not be able to see players from anywhere.
Ghosts have a trap that does that actually.
