To quote the great Canach “We are NOT your enemy!” =(
cuddles her many Sylvari This is exactly why I don’t like how dark the storyline is going. Its just too much to be accosted for being a race. There is more than enough of this IRL to want to deal with it in a game. I don’t find it funny or a joke. If you see me in game don’t say that crap to me even jokingly.
I understand if it’s annoying. This was one of the reasons I’d said (back in Feburary last year) doing this story would not be the greatest idea, based on singling out a player race in this manner. Still, try not to get too bothered by it: it’s wasting your time and energy to let it get to you. I say this as a fellow Sylvari player. Sylvari PCs will be McGuffin’d out of it.
Failing that, they’ll have to start allowing norns to receive pay from Jormag, asura to sign up to the Inquest today, humans to… engage in banditry (frankly doesn’t sound quite as severe, so let’s send them on their jollies to Orr, pre-Zhaitan), and Charr to go all Flame Legion (lore be kitten ed!), or go and get Branded again. Yeah.
Those allies of ours sometimes really fall short of the mark. :/ Also, I think Anet hates a lot of its playerbase.
No the guy above me.
For me, I have kids and stay home looking after them. When I get to play revolves around them, like the rest of my life. So it’s quite possible I don’t have the time to log in for a couple of weeks because I’m just too tired to sit down infront of my computer and play where instead I could be asleep :>
$2.5 might not seem like a lot, but the minimum amount of gems I can **buy** is 800 for £8.50/$10 this means that actually, I have to pay a significantly higher price than you’re all saying it is. So actually for even just 1 living story quest I am ending up paying Anet for 4 even if I sit on 600 gems for the rest of my time in game.
This is an issue I actually have with it; it could almost be the elephant in the Living World room. You can’t buy 200 gems with real cash. Yes, you can earn gold in game to pay for it, but if you don’t have the time to acquire the gold, buying 200 gems should be possible. Then we can discuss if £2.50 or $2.50 or €2.50 (not equivalent amounts, as it happens) is too much or too little.
Didn’t do it the first year (wasn’t paying attention), completed the meta last year. Didn’t this year - I just didn’t have the inclination to do it (and sometimes time escaped me as well, it depended on the day). I did actually get 8 on the chain, and if it had allowed for some of the other things listed to count towards the meta (or just even the dailies), I would have had it.
I don’t find it inspiring to have to do something I’d already decided the previous two years wasn’t something I wanted to do. I mean, I can be relatively flexible with a lot of things, but most of the time I do know my own mind (the jumping puzzle is out, and the Bell Choir? Despite holding a university degree in music and playing various instruments for 30 years, I cannot do it! Lights coming down a line and flashing things don’t agree with my brain, so for my health’s sake, I can’t spend long enough on it to even make the daily). Further, after Christmas/New Year is over, I don’t really want to be dragging the equivalent gaming activities out. I’d rather they started December with the Wintersday stuff and resumed the standard programme in January.
Anyhoo, never mind me. Just stopping by briefly. Back to Baldur’s Gate and butt-kicking for goodness!
Nah, no need to guess. It’s nigh on unanimous it’s Steve. Or Stevie is good too, IMO.
Love the library. I enjoyed spending time, taking time and reading everything.
My mesmer carried on in the background, too. I half expected him to pop up every now and then, saying: "No, no, carry on, don’t mind me..."
A long while back I commented on a thread here about something or other I can’t be bothered to look up now. What I take from it was another player’s naming of the DSD:
"Krakenstein"
I’ve called it that ever since.
I purchased the gramophone - and that was some immediate buyer’s remorse. :/
I really, really wish I hadn’t done that!
I have a feeling that the Mad King will take one look at the place, get upset, and rebuild it himself.
If it’s safe to leave it like that will be up for debate.
It would be the best LA city ever. He can then take over everything else and all will be great and good. claps hands Yay!
I am laughing at the people(woman) here talking about being experts in bodybuilding, much less bodies.
Y’all smell of horrible insecurity. And by “y’all” I really mean like 3 people.
Fantasyworldsgonnafantasy. Also to reiterate my position; skimpy armor on anything is lamekittenkitten.
Get a kittening life.
Go look at porn.
Keep your smut/twilight/50shades fantasies out of my videogames.
Hey, everyone! It’s no longer your fantasy! It’s all .. hang on, what was your name again..? Uh… one second… Omar Aschi Popp’s fantasy! Consider yourselves told. Also, all your video games are belong to him. Hand them over now, people. Form orderly queues. Thank you for your co-operation.
Bless.
Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that we will be discussing raiding in the next phase of the Guild CDI. Feel free to carry on discussing here, and just wanted to let you know that i am reading this thread.
Chris
That is fantastic news. It’s great to know you guys are up for considering raid content! Thank you!
Chris Whiteside has stated, numerous times, that they’re in the process of hiring more personnel to work on the forums. So, hopefully, things will look up soon and he (and a couple others) won’t be the only ones speaking on the forums.
Raise your hand if you think they should hire me
ducks and runs lol
I’m really sure I read the other week (or thereabouts), someone kinda had you pegged as being in Anet’s employ already.
I personally reckon, with a small bit of training (if that, even), you’d be quite good at handling the forum – whether or not someone agrees with your position on any given thing, you seem quite dedicated, and I respect that.
We just want him be become an A-Net employee because then they’ll force him to not post, lol
Aww, don’t be mean, now! The chap stands well for what he believes in. I don’t always agree with what he says, but he has, seemingly, the courage of his convictions. Gotta have some respect for that.
I vote for MK to take over the rest of the Living World season.

Oh, cows. You know, there were some times I’d consider only feeding the cows in Applenook for that heart. Plug leaks? No. Murderise bandit pirate scallies on the rob? Why, no, sir. Feed cows (and okay, some chickens and pigs too)? Yes! A thousand times! Cows rock.
No cow feeding in Queensdale is clearly a travesty which ought to be corrected.
Hm.
These days, I’m mostly playing a different game, where I can raise my own cows and feed them. Which is nice. I wouldn’t consider making a new character in GW2 at this time, and I was a confirmed altoholic. Well, at least I’ll be sober with no need for a twelve-step programme.
Now I just join in for the WvW tournament, and playing with my kid when she wants to do stuff (we killed the Shatterer today; it was Small’s first dragon, and she, unlike most of us who have haunted these forums for that last few years, actually thought it was quite something. So that was nice). I feel rather uninspired to do anything else. I don’t know if it was just the cows that did it, or if the bovines were merely the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. Poor cows. Who’d’ve ever thought it was too confusing to feed them? *sheds tear for starving cows*
You actually get the LB on character creation now (am currently testing the new levelling experience with a ranger). Which is nice.
I play with my daughter, who’s 7, and a lot of this rings true (although your kid, OP, has more advanced levels and actual dungeon experience - we’ve only just started discussing dungeons!).
We logged in for a short spell yesterday afternoon, found our characters to be a little more broken than they had been the previous day, and spent some time laughing at a how to dodge tutorial. My kid wants to know what the point of that is, as, in her own words, "but I already know how to dodge."
She still found the game fun, but wondered about the lack of things going on in Metrica Province (to the point that after her bedtime, I made a new character to experience the new levelling process, and I concur: there is a lack of (NPC) life and interest, in comparison to the previous map).
^_^
I remember the first time I saw Diving Goggles, conveniently placed on the precipice of a ledge above some water.
After the initial shock wore off, I stood staring down at them, my mind racing to comprehend their meaning, Literally a couple of possibilities swirled around my tiny brain but it was too much. Exhausted, I logged off.
I went for a walk just to clear my mind. The image of those goggles haunted me as I walked along the path, teasing me with their impenetrable puzzle. I saw the moon and the stars, and it dawned on me. Just like the endless mysteries of the universe, I was not meant to understand. In another life, in another time – maybe.
I had looked upon those goggles on that ledge like a mouse looks upon Michaelangelo’s David. They were simply too huge to comprehend, to hold their full meaning in my head would be like holding the sea in a teacup.
Sometimes I still dream about them, and the ledge. In the dream, the water below rushes up to meet me, an epiphany promised within its depths – but then I wake up, and the dream, like the answers, fade away.
Beautiful, just beautiful. sheds tear
It hurts now because I laughed too much. 0_o
I play regularly with my 7 year old; in the basic low level PvE asura-based stories we’re enjoying, there’s no content I’d consider inappropriate. In fact, it’s even expanded her vocabulary (and my kid’s bilingual by default, and doesn’t come across advanced English every day). In our sessions, my kid has been "educating" me in the tutorial stage: "it’s good to get all 3 weapon skills before you get to the boss." I imagine she’s going to be somewhat unimpressed when we log in today to discover the second skill slot we’d just earned yesterday (which was a small victory for her, she was very proud to have achieved it), was for naught.
For what it’s worth, I won’t let her play all aspects of the game, and she’s not allow map chat or to speak to anyone. We’re in a guild of our own, which she has to rep 100% because Mummy is a draconian tyrant with respect to representation. Doing this, there’s not a whole heap of difference between this and any of the Lego games she’s been hammering for the last couple of years. The only issue is with some of the costumes some of the characters wear: "Mummy, wouldn’t that character be a bit cold?" "Uhh... yeah. Hypothermia incoming for them! Learn from this and always dress appropriately for a cold climate."
No Tonn?! Good grief; that was one of the story threads that really choked me up. It was well done and heartbreaking; he was a great character who I actually did wish I could spend more time with.
If he is removed, it’s rather ignoble, all things considered.
EDIT: If it’s just a bug, then sigh of relief. I’ve a character or two nearing this point in the story, so I’ll have a look and see.
“Butterflies and Unicorns.”
We got it, you can stop saying it now.
Note the signature of the OP states they main a ranger (mayhap they enjoy use of the Dreamer) and their alt is a mesmer. Funny, that.
Seconded.
There really should be more health-related tweaks available to the game’s graphics.
Halloween is my favourite, Wintersday a close second. I’d like more time on Halloween, and the same as last year with Wintersday (because I’m one of those deeply annoying people who actually love the real world festive equivalents. And I mean, sickeningly so).
Please give the Mad King his due this year!
Ooh... maybe he’d like to take on Wintersday, too?
Screenshots tell me OP is having a laugh.
There’s no such thing as unlucky or lucky accounts, but we do colour the outcomes with our perceptions. Chin up, anyone in the unlucky boat (I’m with you, honest!) – we’ll have our day. Some day.
Good to keep a positive attitude. But since you mentioned feeling unlucky… do you keep some extra weapons or armor in your bags that you equip from inventory? The reason I asked about “lucky/unlucky accounts” was because of my possible theory that swapping gear is resetting a factor in how good the loot you get is.
On a couple of my characters I do, but not all of them.
Today, after I posted my earlier comment in this thread, I did an event and received a pair of Zhed’s (exotic) Boots. These are actually the ones I tend to purchase for the appropriate characters. I didn’t need them today, however, and sold them instead. This was on my main character, who has one and a sixth spare armours, plus extra weapons for swapping about.
Without wanting to second guess you or be too forward, try and think more positively (perhaps even to the point of ignoring the loot and enjoying other parts of the game), and see if it makes a difference?
Or a nice letter to Anet with cupcakes demanding politely requesting answers regarding RNG.
Hello! I have what could be considered a typically unlucky account (enforced because I’m typically a negative person, even when I try hard not to be. The curse of a naturally down-turned mouth? I’m just not sure). I had one lucky week earlier in the year, when the dungeons were spitting exotics at me like they had some kind of intolerance, and -
*dons tin foil hat*
- the joke was at least two other guildies got the same exotic weapon (not armour, you’ll note) at the same time, which is clearly some kind of supernatural occurrence. I’ve not had hardly a bean since, and don’t get me started on precursors...
...they’re a myth! Invented just to torment me, because I did something heinous in a past life, or something.
*tin foil hat off*

I do think that Archeage will find it’s niche.
About the " sub fee" model. instead of thinking of Archeage as " a free to play game with a subscription option." I prefer to see it as " a subscription monthly pay 2 play Model, that has a lite version for people that wish to play for free."
Last time I checked. WoW has a subscription, and only let’s players play for free til level 20.
This lets players play " Archeage lite" for free.
I agree, AA will find its niche market.
I’d been given the archeum founders pack for Archeage for my birthday, so I’ve played a fair bit in Alpha, and I did bob into a beta the other day. I can understand someone begrudging a lot in AA after playing GW2, but it’s got its three months from me to see if some things improve. I don’t really want to go into it, however, as I’m sure we’re not really supposed to compare and contrast on these forums. Let’s leave it as there are some aspects of AA that are thoroughly enjoyable, but I don’t see me dropping GW2 and never coming back.
This is because one of the best things about Guild Wars is we don’t have to pay a subscription, and we certainly don’t need to buy items from the gem shop to win (although I do frequently purchase gems, and usually to the sum of what I’d pay on a subscription). I’d still love to see an expansion proper, however; I’m not so into a drip-feed turning of the screw way of releasing new content, although I appreciate what Anet’s trying to do – and at least I can now save episodes up and play it sort of like the story part of an expansion. But the original game I enjoyed still appears to be there for the most part, so I do that. That game could use a lot of love right now, but we’ll see what happens.
Is it a homage to something like Resident Evil, Silent Hill or Half-Life?
I’m disturbed.
What? No, I haven’t anything useful to add here. :/
No! Wait! I’ve got it! If we remember, Shatty is just a big chicken!
Let’s take it to the air, people.
:D
There are only so many orphanages.
If I call you Ghandi, will that make you happy?
LOL. Alright.
I’m very late to this party, so apologies for that.
However! I once played Civilizations IV, and Ghandi invaded my country. I had done nothing but be super nice and yet he invaded. Yes, that’s right, Ghandi invaded my country.*
Since then, I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him. :/
*Admittedly, I was playing as the English, but that’s not the point!
Deathblows
. Maybe shatterer picks a guy up and eats him, of the shaman/elemental sucks them up in to the vortex to spin around for a while before being flung over a nearby ridge, etc. This would make the fights far more thrilling. “Oh crap, look what it did to fred! I’ll avenge you fred!” In addition, having a “corpse clear” mechanic…
“Huh huh huh, the dragon ate Fred. Noob. " (/jk!)
Really like this idea.
If there’s just one thing that can be done at any of the world bosses, make it so the dead are ported to the nearest waypoint available. If this is done by them being eaten, excellent – just allow us to kill particle effects so we can see the spectacle!
Conversely what if random players were selected to land the final blow with an amazing and heroic animation similar to the ones we see in games like skyrim or dragon age?
Yeah, that would be epic too. A nice touch to bring some smiles, perhaps. Again, however, let’s have the ability to kill (or at least partially deaden) particle effects so we can actually see this stuff.
I’m always up for taking vengeance on behalf of any quaggan (Homes for Quaggans!), but it’d help to be able to see the video. Please! Make it so.
I’ll post this here too. Direct quote from Colin, for those of you who think and truly believe it wasn’t broken:
Yeah we thought so too. After tens of thousands of usability testers and interviews with players who tried Gw2 and left leading up to China launch both in NA/EU and in China – we learned we were wrong.
Honestly, we were kind of shocked how many systems, downed included a surprising number of players just didn’t understand. For downed, we tried a downed tutorial, building downed into the level 1 tutorial, etc. We found after usability testing with numerous different groups, the best rate of people learning and understanding it came from having it be layered complexity and the solution we went with above. Intuitively that wouldn’t have been my guess either initially, but we found people understood it better this way than all other options we tried.
This same level of testing led to the other changes as well. At the end of the day the biggest take away I’d say is: all of us, especially people who go to a reddit to discuss a game, probably know games (and Gw2) really really well. We have millions of users, and a tiny % of them frequent game forums or reddit. Just because all of us, me included, learned those systems well and thought it was all really easy doesn’t mean we are the norm
That last sentence says it all, really. Thanks for posting that here, Vayne!
There’s been some interesting things mentioned in the thread. I like the idea of the Shatterer bombarding players from the air - after all, each one spends a good time flying about overhead; seeing what it can unleash from above sounds great. I also like the idea of the beastie having mobility over the ground, so it’s not a total piñata. I don’t even mind the idea of siege weapons, but I think they’re best left in the hands of the Vigil and players could perhaps use that pre to collect fun things to use as ammo (NOT cows). I usually like my illusions to perch on the Shatterer’s nose, but I’d not object to a devourer fastened on up there. A version of the cattlepult could be fun. But not with cows.
Above all, it shouldn’t require too much co-ordination between players, and it shouldn’t outstrip the level appropriate traits available (not so many for the level 50 character these days). I hate the orange circles, to be honest (orange angers me), but they can be seen, so if there’s AoEs and whatnot, that works. And since we see them a lot in boss fights these days, they should be somewhat familiar to newer players and old alike. I don’t know how much of an issue they’d be with the purple haze in the area, but I should think that could be tweaked if necessary - the orange colour, not the purple haze. But use mechanics familiar to the average level 50, encourage a gentle learning curve, and don’t have it so the event can fail if some players have either a bad day, different skills or senior moments.
As an aside, regarding Tequatl: I miss the old lazy bones version. I don’t hate the current incarnation, however, but I would’ve had him retreat/play extra dead after the initial lazy bout, and have him "escape" to a cove just south of Sparkfly (possibly behind that hill he first jumps on), where those so inclined could go after him, perhaps using the launch pads currently in situ on the beach. It’s not a blocked off raid instance, it’s just a little further out, having the same sort of event as it is now, just tweaked to make sense. With suitable rewards for each event, natch. And he can still fail, and have an effect on the coastline if it was thought acceptable. This wouldn’t necessarily cure the waiting time to get in, however, and I’m too tired to contemplate that now.
Once more into the breach, dear thread!
While there is some essence of truth here, it doesn’t explain his ....
Technically hers, but I’m not going to be a pedant today, oh no.
I’ve had a disconnect yesterday where I did log back in further away, so I know that can happen. But the incident which I referred to in my OP wasn’t a disconnect (well, not one that booted me out of the game and gave the error message that seems to be doing the rounds of late).
I had no sense of lag, no sense of being near one of the ramps or anything particularly squiffy - a fence was between me and place I died.
However, given the lag spikes that have been plaguing the game (DDoS fallout, mayhaps), I’m relatively happy with the "game thinks I’m somewhere else" theory. I just have no idea where it thought I was - I’d been in the crafting area, running around in a circle, away from any dangerous bits, or so I thought, at least.
Thanks all for replying; guess there’s no definitive answer here (the above mentioned theory seems the most likely, however), but interesting to hear the possibilities.
I was just running along, minding my own business, doing map completion on a new character. Whilst in the Grove, I died, instantly – no jumps, falls or anything untoward involved. I was just running out of the crafting area toward the Vigil/Priory/Secrets encampments. I’d love to know why this meant death!
Have been having random disconnects today, but don’t know if they’re related (if so, this post probably needs moved to that topic).
So.. do people even have characters under level 20 when they have 2 year old characters on their account? Seems to me like they should have been level 25, or level 30 scrolls, or something, but more level 20 scrolls? I have 13, I have a character of every single class, actually I have a duplicate of 1 class because I didn’t like Charr Warrior but that character was an ascended crafter so I couldn’t bring myself to delete it.
But a real problem is... this years scrolls do not stack with last year’s scrolls, so if I wanted to save them on the off chance.. it’s another bank slot. can’t we at least have them stack?
Yes, yes I did. I used two experience scrolls today, as well.
To be fair, the 40% off deal on an extra character slot was utilised - it actually was my birthday yesterday, so it was just one more little treat! Further, I hadn’t purchased any extra slots on my account before these last few months (summer bonus and all that, and even then I only bought one extra). I used to have the fifth slot as the make-play-delete slot, meaning I’d used any experience scrolls with my altoholic ways already, so new scrolls is okay. For me, at least. Can’t imagine I’m entirely alone in that.
Although I have to agree, this stuff should stack.
Anet chooses.
I didn’t enjoy SAB, but there’s no reason to take it away! Seriously, I’d pin it down as one crazy Asura’s idea of combat training and there’s enough merit in that to have it remain on a permanent basis. Maybe it’s down if a dragon decides to eat Rata Sum, but other than that, kitten the narrative! Bring back SAB! Long may she live and all who sail in her..! ... or something.
Kittens to Betsy!
I’ll just add to the noise: just a few random disconnects yesterday (had a small update beforehand), just doing minor things such as running.
I also was unable to purchase any gems - not sure if these two things are related, or if they’re two completely separate issues which have occurred at the same time.
i have mine zoomed all the way out. you could have it zoomed in a tiny bit, and still have it zoomed out pretty far. Just gotta find the balance for it. Also look at the animations and stuff that the boss is doing, or what the mobs are doing. If you are having trouble fighting the vines in a group, try and lure one away and fight it solo. Also bring A LOT of condition cleanse.
And remember to follow the advice of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDfu124a78M
You know, it wasn’t so much of a problem fighting the things as much as it was not actually seeing what I was doing because of walls (making it a little harder to see telegraphs on occasion). Some of it was just plain bad on my part, regardless, too, and that’s okay. Still, like I said in my other post just now, I’ll likely have another go and see if I can get the camera in a better spot so that doesn’t happen.
Thanks for your response there!
I thought this was incredibly kitten my first try as well – I got frustrated and quit that time); the constant AoE was a bit too much. Moved a couple of traits around, not sure if that made much of a difference, except that it allowed me to kill the add-ons a little bit faster. Not very much but still. But anyway I have a tip for those who are having serious trouble with this:
The most important thing during my second try was that I found a spot that was relatively safe for fighting the add-ons without worrying too much about the dragon’s AoE (save the full chamber blast and ONE attack, but the latter only if you were closer to the center of the chamber), and attack the add-ons at range. I mean, so much of the fight IS about avoiding the AoE and killing stuff simultaneously that it’s best to find a spot where most of the AoE doesn’t reach. I used the opposite end of the chamber from the Avatar of the Pale Tree, North-West corner of the chamber. Like a narrow-ish ramp with a dead end? Had to come out for some add-ons that are farther back, but it’s easier to deal with those when you have the other ones cleared out. Not quite as much stuff blasting your way. Still died twice but that’s because I suck royally sometimes, and also lag. I could have sworn I was out of the danger zones but still got blasted by the attacks. Ehh.
Anyway: position yourself out of the harm’s way and it’ll be a lot easier to deal with!
This is pretty much what I did in the Barradin statue fight as well, come to think of it.
You’re right about that, for sure – find the best spot for lurking and retreating to tends to be something I like to do – I think I likely failed to find the best spot in my dragon fight, although I did have a couple of places that seemed to work. But I experienced that bit where you get hit even if you think you’re out of the danger spots. I think I might give this another go and see if I can’t fine-tune it – because despite being awful at it, I think I actually had some fun.
Now if I can get the camera to work for me, I’ll be laughing!
Oh, I died lots. There was much clicking to be had. I wouldn’t mind, but I never seem to be able to orient the camera effectively for this, and thus "walls" keep blocking the view. I tend to prefer having a far back view as much as possible, because it all gets a bit flashy lights up close and I can’t tell what’s happening at all.
What do you more pro players, who have little to no issues, do for that? Is it having a bigger resolution that helps (financially impossible for me at the moment, sadly, but can probably be fixed in the future)? Or do you not need to zoom out as much, because you’re able to see what’s happening? Please advise.
Leaders do actually meet for summits, but it did feel a little bit unwise to have them all meet in this manner, even if it seemed necessary at the time. I wonder if it’s possible to use other means of communication - holographics, basic sound relay. I like to think the tech is there. But that’s just me.
As for Taimi, I disagree with kids being in such situations, no matter how smart or creative they are (mothering instinct kicks in and goes all Ripley). It’s been shown that Scruffy will not take every beating that comes its way, and despite Taimi being so, so intelligent, she does not have the wisdom which comes with age. She’s currently min-maxed in that respect. She doesn’t have the dice rolls in her favour. She cannot be considered responsible due to being a kid; she’s not capable of making adult decisions, and the episode showed that, and her childishness, perfectly. Phlunt was a total kitten, mind, but he was right to take the device. The stereotypical arrogance of the asura may prevent his full credit to Taimi or even worse, but I recall mention she’s on good terms with Zojja, and if you’ve played the asuran personal story, you’ll know she’ll not let anyone get away with anything nefarious when it comes to the inventions of others. Honestly, though, I don’t think it’s too different to keeping a trust fund which a kid receives upon adulthood.
Now, to ensure Taimi grows up to be a sensible adult! Over to you, er... Braham.*
Oh.
*facepalm*
*To be fair, he seemed to grow up a little this time, was quite sweet to see.
Actually now that it’s lunch time, waffles are over. Time to reheat that leftover pot roast.
By the way, the patch notes are live and the update will be as well very soon.
Can we replay lunch time, so those of us who missed the waffles can pick up some waffle achievements?
(have been out of the game for a little while, and just caught up on the last release earlier today – quite enjoyed it, so looking forward to this next part!)
Go for the eyes! Or its ankles, or behind the knees.
I understand the idea behind wanting to jump on the dragon (I’ve played enough Skyrim to appreciate dragon rides), but I don’t see it as a practical combat situation, given the size of the elder dragons. But what we do have in game is those pact airships and helicopters; let’s have them make mini-versions (rather, some sort of mini aircraft), individually piloted by the player! Yes, we can go out and out Independence Day style, Star Wars style! Proper air combat! First one to execute a victory barrel-roll wins a quaggan!
I also like the idea of the charr tanks coming back.
EDIT: Further thinking: if it’s open world content again? Some people fly. Some people drive tanks. And some people have anti-dragon cannons, etc. Woot! A dragon’ll never know what it hit it! We kinda have a lot of this in game as it is, but not on this scale (much pun).
