Get rid of the orbs and the 7 day matches would be fine.

As it is, the match is only meaningful until the server with the most population inevitably gets all three orbs (otherwise known as the “I Win Button”).

This. It’s demoralizing facing 3 vs 3 and you could easily match up with them, but by default they win due to orbs. I’m confused why orbs as is even exist, it just tips the balance on the more dominant server. =/

1. Invisibility
2. Downed State
3. Hacks
4. Nightcapping and Outmanned “buff”.
5. ALT kitten Numerous minor issues.

I think they devs at this point should put the vendor somewhere without having to do the event – yes, It beats the purpose of having to do the event itself, but this has gone on far to long … do it till you actually FIX it for good or at least make it somewhat stable.

Shouldn’t complain about getting rares, honestly. You where unlucky, I’ve been unlucky with clovers, so? It’s the exact same before the Halloween patch, I’ve even gotten more then I’d ever usually get.

Thief’s are already over powered compared to most if not just better then the rest. My group of 4 was capping something, out of no where one of us gets killed very quickly, in this instance, he went invisible 14 times, had quickness all during this, he also one shot a 16k ranger and he did all this in 30 seconds. So I talked to a thief friend he didn’t act as if he surprised and said this is normal. Fix the class while you fix this <3 thx.

I’ve always believed spawn camping was dirty warfare. Especially when our forces have near completely over run every map. I’m sorry to Tarnished Coast & Eredon Terrace for this. I know it’s unfair and to be honest it’s no fun for anyone. As a [RUN] commander in SoR, I try to keep our forces away from spawn areas as much as possible. However, for those in TC & ET who spawn at their Citadel, there are many other alternatives to just walking out the portals straight to occupied camps and towers. I wish TC & ET the best of luck on their upcoming fights…

I’ve been dolyak ganking for 2 days straight, loving it. But sadly you cannot avoid spawn campers when all you have is the citadel. Besides, I saw a lot of RUN members spawn camping as well, so don’t play that game.

Look best way is remove all NA players to NA, Europe players to Europe servers….and get Asians and Oceania their servers, Leave the free transfers on but under condition its only in same Zone…from Eu server to EU server… And Charge 10 euro/15bucks per transfer to Out of zone server. The way I see it, you will either get huge amounts of cash, or wont have to worry about us complaining about NA players in Europe or Oceania players in NA or Europe players in NA…or w/e.
Also the unmanned buff…..its a laugh, really Ill be able to get more Karma, magic items in WvWvW while the other side keeps 20 ppl on each camp, Plz explain where am I going to get it exactly…on NPCs? I have PvE for that.
The other way I see you can solve this is simple instead of stupid buff, just make all NPCs Legendary and able to use siege…. Maybe double their numbers so Overseas players at least need to work for those Towers, Keeps, Garrisons, Castles.
When i better think charge 100Bucks for out of Zone Server transfer…problem solved

I think you’re missing the point, GW1 was about vanity items late game, GW2 will be the exact same. Top exotic set isn’t expensive, eventually people will get to a point where money will stack up and what would they buy? vanity items. It solves multiple purposes and that is what GW1 fans liked.

I would NOT buy a rare Karma bow at all.

If it is exotic, that is great. That means it is top tier. If it is only a rare simply buy an exotic bow (1.5g to 4G) of the stats, not skin you like then buy the T1 version of the karma bow you like.

Then just transmute the skin. This way you get the stats you need AND the skin you like. I wouldn’t spend 67k Karma on a weapon that isn’t exotic OR doesn’t have the stats I want.

For starters, you act as if spending karma for an upgrade is a bad thing. If it helps him do dungeons he can get free exotic weapons AND armor. With the money he doesn’t spend on a weapon he will just replace if he does in fact do dungeons with bags that will increase sellable items.

NA playing in EU just as EU and oceanic played in NA to take advantage of such sleep periods. Can we end the whole separate servers now for na/eu? At least this way there is more variety of servers to play against.

Sorry what? You cannot compare NA players playing in EU to Oceanic players playing in NA. Funny though, kind of made my night. One question though, If you’ll indulge me what do you expect the Oceanic players to do? go to the EU servers where we will lag even more so you can have your NA only game? No thank you.

You kind of answered your own question in the opposite way. Your guild is planning to leave Eredon Terrace, this is the exact reason WHY the system is flawed.

Free world transfer will remain till guesting comes and it MUST remain till they have an idea of how to make each server balanced. When Blackgate turns into the next Henge of Denravi and they get bored just steam rolling all the servers they’ll quit because they wont want to pay a transfer fee to an already flawed system. And this will happen to a lot of other servers who are forced to lose week after week due to over population or under population.

Free transfers is affect WvW, but if it wasn’t there, It would be absolutely disastrous.

Just because you want it, doesn’t mean you can get it for free. Legendary chain and everything in it is for people who WANT the challenge. Besides, It serves a purpose at the moment.

If you make a legendary, use the transmuation stones on a non-bound item does it bound automaticly? Thanks.

i play a lot of spvp, wvwvw, and dungeon run.

in spvp (in a full game) i’m usually one the top 3 players on my team. It’s not just about killing but CP. i stay away from zergs and have about 3k in armor with 22k hp. i’ve been playing around using a shortbow:crit+toughnes+condition build. i’ve actually flatly exchanged sword 1 with a glass cannon thief (who blew his initiative) with a sword+warhorn and pretty much won at half health (basically a garbage thief though).

you can also get top kills easily as a sb ranger (when they are down just tag em and continue with the next person).

a ranger is under-powered but they aren’t unplayable. make due with what you have and try and play it as best as possible. i don’t want to roll an alt because i feel like i haven’t truly mastered being a ranger.

The last bit of this is exactly right, the ranger is badly under powered, but not unplayable.

A lot of game has classes that even the developers don’t care about. Huge MMO fan so I’ll always play one, but I don’t feel wanted with the disrespect the class I began to like is pretty much scrapped.

Removing downed state would be a big mistake, It’s what makes PvP in GW2 interesting. But as for removing orbs, I agree.

Actually, this is a false example. For one reason and one reason only, elemenalist’s have a place on the battlefield, their AoE is insane. Rangers aren’t good at anything, want range? roll thief/warrior and that’s the only thing rangers are meant to excel at and they don’t even do that. Friend has an elementalist, while I’m complaining about the lack of DPS I’m doing, he’s loving killing people on castle walls, so yeah no.

I like the stray cat analogy, but ArenaNet doesn’t care about what the player base thinks about any other issues.

- Dungeon changing.
- Nerfing SB Rangers and lying about it. (Probably a direct counter for Ranger Bots, but who else does it effect, Idk, the players who actually play?)
- Not dealing with hackers.
- Rendering problems which was made worse by another patch. (Testing patches would be nice? maybe.)
- Favoritism with classes devs like most, don’t bother arguing against this, It’s the truth.
- Orb and Out manned issues.

And many more, the only thing I’ve actually heard a dev actually have a more then positive response on, it involved me spending money, really? really. I’ve lost trust but it seems like now ALL MMO companies apply these tactics, It’s sad to see. Take what you said for example, now blackgate is an overwhelming server, so I cannot W3 for an entire week, because it ruins the fun for me and next week we’ll be facing SoS, which also is an overwhelming server, another week I’ll be without W3. What else am I suppose to do? sPvP, not really into, PvE? LOL, Guild Wars 2 PvE is horrible, absolutely horrible, had more fun with Aion PvE. Take this post however you want, hate, butt hurt, but It’s the truth and I’m not afraid to say the truth. GW2 has made the most fun I’ve ever had playing a game, but also the worse.

I’m glad I left SoS before this happened, but, It does make me lol irl reading a commander who I actually respected is boasting about HoD guilds going to SoS. Oh well, grats on the progress nontheless.

Speaking of the dev team, I saw multiple videos of devs saying they like certain classes, none ever said ranger, oh and not to mention a dev said his favorite class was a warrior on their forums, I see a trend …

Regardless, this is a mesmer/guardian/warrior/thief meta, we should get use to it for now.

And this is another reason why W3 is flawed, congratulations on needing a full on alliance to have a chance at winning.

This. I have a very high opinion of ArenaNet for their development, communication with players and response time to the issues, but the way they are treating the Ranger community at the moment is disappointing.
-Official patch notes failed to mention damage reduction.
-Players sought answers from devs, and Jon Peters’ response was so brief and open-ended it left players hanging on a cliff of uncertainty.
-Then he comes back to say ~damage decrease was intentional, Crossfire isn’t fun (the Shortbow’s only source of damage), players need to play more efficiently with the Shortbow, IF devs find there’s a further issue, we will work on it later~
- 4 days, 580+ replies, 61000+ views (not including other threads) and hundreds of upset customers later we still have no further response or support from devs.

I agree, although ANet to me has had one bad decision after another, If it was any other company I would be out, but since It’s ANet I’m staying, but how long can I stay when this kind of stuff happens, not long …..

LOL for starters, I’m richer then you, better geared and I’m very sure I have more WvW accomplishments right now so moving on from that, It was an example of how game breaking this is, you’re probably one of the players who actually benefit from this, let me guess, a thief? But no really, please don’t even respond to forum posts till you understand the issues at hand.

As an Australian, as stated above I’m use to 200-250 latency, so I’m use to it, It’s fine. But an American who had 100-150+ latency would throw a hissy fit, well EU would be no different. The idea is good, but it’s out of the question.

Beyond game breaking, I’m sick of doing WvW because I’m dying and losing currency due to not even having a fair shot at surviving. I thought this was the best start to a game since, well, ever! But at this point this is my all time worse release to a game I’ve ever witnessed hands down.

You cannot do PvE without being punished
You cannot do WvW without being punished
You cannot even do dungeons without getting pimp slapped.

Maybe it’s time to fix actual issues and test them before you make them worse.

Wondering about this myself.

It would seem kinda weird if you scaled simply from your lvl, and not your gear as well, since you can enter Wv3 at lvl 1 (or after the intro-quest), and play until lvl 80. Would be weird if your starter gear could carry you easily through the game until lvl 80.

You do get gear from drops, but I noticed from getting level 80 exotic gear your effectiveness goes up a LOT.

I was excited we had gotten the orb ourselves, I’m a little disappointed now. Sorry and I hope this doesn’t happen again.

What exactly would closing the Ladders do? Wouldnt change anything. i guess it may change how matches are paired up. But i would hate for the lower servers to face a T1 server just cause you didnt want a ladder. Play as it is right now stop Crying so much. Things take time. And another Note Culling sucks but not game breaking same for orbs.

Use this and for your information, this is far from game breaking. Wv3 was designed for 24/7 battles, now people are realizing the game doesn’t revolve around them, it’s sad that people thought this from the start but ANet wont change this.

Something that is more game breaking is the Rendering issues, sorry, but it’s not even close.

There is no such thing as nightcapping, only time zones.

Because that will throw gasoline on the fire. If WvW went down, a lot of people would quit.
