Guild group of 30 should be able to take down any size of zerg. Zerging gets countered by skilled play by guilds. 1 guild + zerg on commander versus 1 big blob, the first one will win in capping and holding stuff.
Blobbing/zerging ain’t a problem, deal with it.
When that group of 30 can’t use their skills because the group of 80 causes lag… yeah about that..
Before they reduce map population and other things to force us to reduce the size we group up, which they have stated when they did reduce population that lag was not impacted noticably, they should optomize code and if possible(servers are not quite a year old) upgrade servers.
Any suggestion to reduce zerg size just because of skill lag isn’t solving the real problem. I’d rather the real problem actually be fixed because that can also benefit all parts of the game.
No thanks.
Just because you don’t like zergs, doesn’t mean the rest of us have to suffer.
You can always to small ops. Nothing prevents you from doing that. You’ll just have to expect to run from the zerg if it comes your way.
Debuffs to a group of players just because of x# is a bad idea anyway.
I do like the idea about res sickness….
quoted bradderzh.2378- can’t get quote to work properly.
I have said it before but, Just apply rez sickness to any players Rez’d from death.
It may not stop the zombie horde forming in the first place, but it will make the horde much easier to deal with by skilled groups able to down a few at a time to the point where even if the are rezing dead (not downed) it won’t make a difference because even a lick of damage will send them straight back down again.
Something like the sickness we have when we use a res orb in PvE but I would add that if they get bannered, the sickness doesn’t get applied. Someone had to use a elite skill with a very long cool down so I think the banner should bypass that.

I think more are getting wise and sending a runner ahead.
That is how it was set up.
If you were able to place, more, that was a bug.
In the top right corner, instead of percentage I would like the option to see how many of something I need. Slayer for example, I would like to see x#/1000 left instead of 89%.
I would also like them sorted differently. Currently completed achievements are listed first and I see several achievements on tier 3 and several on tier 4. The ones on tier 3 are closer to being done but I’m not working on them but they get sorted toward the top first. I would like to have the completed achievements at the bottom because I don’t care about these and I would like to be able to sort the rest by tier.
Slight derail but if you look into the display change for achievements…please add in the option to turn off the living story announcement in the top right corner.
Oh goody, another upset with zergs thread.
There is nothing wrong with zerg battles.
ANet has stated in the past that WvW is about large battles.
I enjoy zerg fighting as well as small ops.
You are the one with the problem and ANet doesn’t need to fix that, especially if it messes up a style that others enjoy.
Ha – mere elitism. PvE people always spouting entitlement.
You don’t really earn anything unless you PvP. Everything else is handed to you.
Everyone is undeserving of completion if you are not willing to gasp PvP.
It looks to me as if you’re throwing back what I said, trying to ‘catch me out’., instead coming off as a child.
Anyhow, where is the entitlement? I’ve mentioned in earlier posts that going through the content itself is the work needed to be placed in to earn the achievement. I am not the type to want everything handed to me on a silver platter, and am OK with working for it, long as it is fair.
“You don’t really earn anything unless you PvP” … Funnily enough, SPvP doesn’t give anything for PvE use, so it’s both ways. It seems to me that Anet wants the two sides to be seperate. Which, should that be the case, it then makes even more sense to remove completion requirements from WvW so that the separation is more concrete.
In addition, your refusal to acknowledge PvE as a valid way to play makes you the elitist who demands everyone play the things you do or else (“Everyone is undeserving of completion if you are not willing to gasp PvP.”)
I didn’t say PvE wasn’t valid. You just don’t deserve any rewards or respect for having that legendary. You don’t really want to earn it. You instead want to come to the forums and advocate the removal from something that you dislike.
I dislike having to do the PvE maps.
You are the one being elitist hear since we are using your logic, you are saying WvW isn’t a valid form of play. You are being elitist since you want to shun the completion from WvW and trying to place my form of play as a second class player.
Earn it or quit complaining because your arguments are just as poor as any other argument to remove it from WvW.
PvE maps should be removed from completion.
You people that don’t want to do WvW maps do not deserve any kind of completion because you don’t want to actually earn it. Instead, you all come here and complain because it is easier to do that than actually earn something.
Quit complaining about it and go take the stuff you need.
Ha – mere elitism. We earn the completion by doing / finding everything in the world. Given the time commitment required for the sheer volume of locations, that’s certainly a fair value.

Just remove the downed state.
I’m so tired of people complaining about this. It is one of the easier stomps to deal with when I’m trying to get someone off my ally. I can’t do anything against other stomps to help but I can stop stealth stomps.
If your team can’t deal with stealth stomps, you need to find a better team.
If they prevent stealth spiking, then they need to prevent all other forms of spiking.
Here is what I think, screw everyone that likes downed state and just remove it. There, no more stealth stomping.
I don’t bother with helms that cut off my horns.
If I can’t have horns showing, you won’t be getting any gems from me for any armor that you put in the TP.
Make these people actually earn stuff.
I’m tired of hearing them complain about how PvP stuff should be removed from everything so just add in PvP to open world.
Make them actually earn stuff.

I’m hoping they add in some interesting and useful elite skills. Some are nice, most are junk.
Why are you calling this a exploit?
While I can agree that a thief should get revield after finishing in stealth, it should follow the mechanics of stealth which spiking in stealth is an attack from stealth, they shouldn’t be taken out of stealth just because they started to spike, only after the spike is successful.
I also disagree with having them taken out of stealth just because they did something. Their skills would become a huge liability if they wanted to use one.
So you can’t tartget someone in stealth. I don’t have a problem with it. I’ll admit my warrior has skills that don’t require target but I still don’t feel there is a problem and I don’t feel there is any need to be able to target someone that is in stealth.
I don’t feel stealth is unfair at all.
Make those cumulative for all the people with the yak.
Champion Dolyak ftw.
I had been thinking that it would be nice if completed achievements would add something to what you just achieved. Slayer for example…complete one of those and you get extra damage or defense against that critter type. WvW stuff achievements could possible apply something like that but those WvW achievement numbers need to be adjusted so that we can achieve them before the servers shut down.
A little light reading for lunch.
You guys still didn’t roll thieves? 0.0
My first character was a thief and I learned a lot.
I stopped playing her after I rolled my warrior and haven’t looked back.
You don’t understand.
Correction, I don’t care about your problem with getting an achievement in WvW.
Frankly, I’m also tired of you PvE players self entitlement posts.
Keep making these things and I’ll support open world forced PvP.
I like obsidium sanctum as a PvP zone.
You can do other jumping puzzles if you want to do jumping puzzles.
You do not need to complete this achievement. You can just ignore it.
I don’t like having to do dungeons in PvE for achievments.
I think that only those that are willing to fight for those points and only combat against other players are deserving of those achievements.
Carebare land players don’t deserve those points since they don’t wish to really earn them.
Just let the achievement go if you can’t complete it.
I’ve done it with a few past achievements because I couldn’t get the ones in the last dungeon.
How about I make a suggestion that they remove achievements from PvE and only put them in WvW? I shouldn’t have to do PvE to get achievements. They should all and only be in WvW.
What do you want to do in WvW?
Zerg?
Roam?
The two don’t really have builds that go together. Zerg builds don’t do as well 1v1 as a roamer build would.
It is fine as is.
If I want to listen to you all play your instruments…I am very much not likely to ever have such a desire…I will turn up the volume.
In addition to the current bonus amount of supply delivered for escorting the yak…
dolyak delivery
Rank 1 .. escorted yak delivers 10% more supply
Rank 2 .. delivers 20%
Rank 3 .. delivers 30%
Rank 4 .. delivers 40%
Rank 5 .. delivers 50%
also dolyak defense
Rank 1 .. escorted yak has 100% hit point buff
Rank 2 .. has 150% hit pont buff
Rank 3 .. has 200% hit point buff
Rank 4 .. had 250% hit point buff
Rank 5 .. has 300% hit point buff.
These can be toned down but as squishy as they are anyway, it wouldn’t hurt to buff them if you have ranks.
Player with highest rank gets their buff applied to the yak. 1500 range so that it doesn’t make ranged players the go to yak slapper. The delivery buff is halved for the camps south of bay and hills and you must start escorting the yak before they get past the archway since that route is so close(I’d even make it start at those camps.) All other paths is full buff and you must escort 75% of the way.
Colors used to be what position the server held in rankings. It is being rotated so people can get map compleation on the WvW maps easier. Some servers were going to dominate no matter what and the servers they were against didn’t field enough to do anything is why it got changed. This was before random match ups. I don’t mind rotating various colors if I play in EB so that I’m not stuck in the same corner every week.
level 80 vs level 23. You have an advantage in that you have all skills and access to exotic level 80 armor when you are level capped. A level 23 doesn’t have all those goodies available but they do have scaled up armor and HP.

Stealth isn’t a problem.
I think they need the damage upped a bit. I didn’t mind the damage before it got turned down.
so I don’t have to hear the instruments from other players.
So it sounds like most of you are saying that it might help stop zerging to an extent. Is that right? And is that a good thing? (Again, not saying anything, myself. Just asking questions.)
It won’t stop zerging. It will stop a zerg from pouring in for a defense, but it won’t stop zerging at all, not even to an extent.
Can you elaborate on this?
Why would it stop zerging?
Just because people can’t port into a spot right away doesn’t mean it will stop zerging.
You’ll just see a zerg tail like we have now when the WP is contested. The zerg will still be there, just won’t be able to way point.
It will greatly increase the need to guard and scout around points of entry.

I like the bows, pistol, rifle and axe.
Hammer would be great if it exploded every time it impacted something but I’m not into the looks though. It just looks like it should go boom.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they added in a new animation for the gathering tools with a living story installment.
No thanks, not necessary.
I just need a codpiece.
I don’t care for the single amulet. I feel pigenholed, constrained, stuck, stuffed, …you get the idea. I don’t usually do all or nothing for my gear.
Not sure what you are doing with rampage to make it really good to work with.
You don’t get to use your own weapon skills and your utility skills are also not available.
So, when they take away the rewards, you going to start to complain about the farm for the achievemtn then?
Great idea removing rewards. Kick all the servers, including the ones that don’t karma farm. Nice.
(edited by CreativeAnarchy.6324)
I don’t even have a norn and I say no to this. (I don’t like them, they’re too big) Rarely is it used. and there’s nothing preventing you from immobilizing them before they take off. Do you just stand there and gawk at them when you see them transform? And Asurans have radiation field which is pretty devastating with it pulsing poison and weakness, and humans have the avatar of melandru, which you could transform into, root them then run away, sylvari have a root thing as well I think. I forget what charr have, but I assume they have something that can be just as annoying as well. The point is, all races have some situational skills that can be annoying. But that’s all they are, situational and easily countered. Why do you think barely anyone uses them? They’re mostly just for fun.
I think the charr one is a charzooka and it is pretty bad for the cooldown. Not totally sure but the only elite I use is the warbanner for my charr warrior. Everything else is really bad. Rampage can be ok but you can’t use any other skills except weapon skills and you don’t get to use your own weapons(not sure what others are doing to make this elite useful) .

I don’t see a need to have repair costs in general.
I could see it if there was a broken beyond repair mechanic, or various repair vendors have different skill with some repairs being exceptional while others are just a cheap repair, but there isn’t so I don’t see the need to have repairs at all.
Who would care about the way point then. A useless waste of gold.
Clearly you are unfamiliar with the WvW mechanics and strategies. Way pointing doesn’t cost gold in WvW.
Clearly I am because the upgrade would be a waste and costs gold, hence a useless waste of gold. I’ve paid for it several time.
It would be good for defense when the timer ticks and we are waiting for it to respawn but that would be all it is useful for.

Thieves are typically easy to kill.
Good players are going to be harder but they can still be beat. Good players are going to make any class hard to go against.
Still don’t understand why you all can’t learn how to deal with thieves with your own builds instead of asking for a nerf. Much harder but more rewarding if you just learn.
Why is such a huge part of the exploration needed in PvE?
Seriously, I get all my WvW maps completed quickly. I don’t care to have to do all that PvE to get my completions. All I should have to do is the WvW maps. I get enought PvE with the guards and such in WvW.
I don’t mind ascended gear.
I like the jumping puzzles.
My only complaint is the camera.
Some are very easy, some are very difficult. I’ve done them all and enjoyed every one, especially the harder ones.
Mad King and Aetherblade ones were my favorites.
Please keep putting in jumping puzzles and ignore posters like the OP, especially since they started the thread in a condensending tone calling posters such as myself a Anet Fanboi. I think the OP is trolling and I’m going to calling posters like them trolls.

If you want to do this PvP thing, then instead of forcing those that do not wish to PvP just not be on the list and those that do want to PvP should be the ones paying the small fee to be on the list.
People that do not wish to PvP should not be forced in any way to do so and they should not be forced to pay a fee to avoid what they do not wish in the first place.
If anyone wants to do this, they should have to sign up and give their own consent, not because someone decided to put them on the list to have some fun.
the single most annyoing thing with thieves is not the stealth during combat, it’s the stupid stealth stomping. Because somehow, doesn’t matter if you are a ranger with a wolf using fear, or a guardian using the Downed #2, or a necro using life drain. Nothing affects them at all, and i tried with on a mesmer, stealthing before stomp… you are completely unaffected by anything. This might be a bug, or intended, but it makes it impossible to make a mistake against a thief, while a thief can screw up a hundred times and still live to tell the tale
I would take my stability stomp over a stealth stomp every day.
