Well suppose they put the effort in and gave you the full 6 trinkets, what then?

If I can’t get the specific combination that I want, then no.

Even with 6 trinkets, I don’t feel that I can get the combination that I have now. I’d still be to stat heavy in one direction and not enough in another with having to spread them out.

I’m going to put my opinion in here again since it went with your last thread.

I do not really care for the single amulet in sPvP. This is what has mostly kept me from playing it since I can’t get the same stat combination that I would prefer to use. I don’t like the all or nothing style of the amulet because I run a mixture of gear types. The amulet with everything isn’t something I care to use because there are stats on there that I don’t need or want and can find a better amulet in those lists but I still don’t care for the other amulets.

I would find another game if WvW got changed to run with sPvP gear rules. I don’t have to play sPvP and I like WvW and my gear set as it is.

I don’t mind that ascended is being added to armor either. That kind of stuff doesn’t bother me.

Some people want to be on servers that can field each map with coverage when we go to bed. We like knowing that there is a really good chance that the upgrades on keeps and towers will still be there when we log back on. There are only so many players to go around, not every server would be able to get a guild for the time you are wanting. Then there is the personalities on each server and some may not want to go to other servers. Some guilds like to work with other guilds specifically, some want to fight others specifically. People have reasons for being on the server they are on.

How about we push the players off the low wvw pop servers into upper tiers? That would help some of your coverage issue also. Why don’t you force them to move instead?

As pointed out by another, skill lag wasn’t impacted enough to warrant reduction in map population.

Some players also like having huge 3 ways.

Since skill lag is a problem across all servers, mid and low tiers have said they can field enough to get skill lag, you even stated that you get that where you are at, the better solution to skill lag is to make the code more efficient. Upgrading of the hardware would be a option if it wasn’t already quality but since this game is still new, hasn’t been out a year, I would bet that the servers are still quality as long as they purchased a decent enough set up in the first place.

I would rather see a different mechanic to denote the capture of a keep/tower but I think the keep lord is the easiest and most cost efficient way to do things.

I think it is rather stupid that a single npc can withstand all that a zerg is tossing their way. I can see a giant creature like a dragon absorbing the punishment but not a keep lord.

You can just tap or kill a guard.

I’m not sure what it was I did for a tower, I don’t even think I tagged a guard, I don’t remember going around to any side that wasn’t all wall, and still got credit for it an hour after being in that area. I was guarding water gate when I got the credit.

I think that golem drivers, treb, catapult, and ram operators should get credit for taking the structure they helped open up.

Slayer for example.

In the order of completion, you have the ones done first, which is fine. I would rather move those toward the bottom and have uncompleted stuff first. I would guess more players are interested in seeing the uncompleted stuff first since that would be what they want to work on.

But how those that are still not completed is not really ordered well.

You have how much is done per tier, not how much over all is actually done.

I’d like to see them ordered by how much over all is done, so that I can see the stuff on the 4th tier before I get to the ones that are on the third tier. Several critters that I’m closer to done with completing are mixed up toward the bottom of the list in with those that I still haven’t even yet killed 500.

I think that the PvP gear should have said that gear put into the locker can be turned account bound. I had no idea it would do that. I haven’t sPvP yet but I had been thinking I’d give it a try.

I’ve been messing around with the warhorn trait and it doesn’t seem to be converting conditions into boons unless it is just converting the time left of the conditions onto the boon that it already gives. I thought all conditions each converted into a specific boon type and I’m not seeing anything different.

It also depends. Shield is nice for getting to the back lines to kill the squishy AoE types so one may not use the horn. Faster shouts would be a given.

Then there are those that want faster shouts but don’t invest more points past that point. I don’t see the point to that, I’d rather invest into the rest of the line since if you are taking that line anyway, the rest may as well go along with it. You are giving up DPS somewhere and the extra points to max it out won’t really be missed that much since you are giving up some DPS anyway.

I like having that line for shout healing and boon duration but if I am using a warhorn, I do tend to use that trait. I like my swiftness and don’t want to wait for the cool down. Ain’t got time for that.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the shouts merged. Really isn’t much in that line that is really good though. Empowered is nice enough. Leg specialist was nice before, kind of junk now since it will only hit 1 person every 5 seconds. Shrug it off is a pretty good trait if you got nothing else. Banners if you are running one but I’m not into them that much. They have their place, I just don’t care to run them unless I could attach them to my back. Warhorn is very nice. And then the 2 shout traits. Trait line may need a bit of loving.

Arrowcarts have no problems with it.. so treat every other character with AoE capabilities the exact same way. Same as arrowcart, just different animation, problem solved.

Arrowcarts don’t have a lot of the animations that much of our AoE does and I also don’t think their calculations are as complicated.

Towers also don’t get the extra supply that comes with escorting, at least not on the borderland when I was escorting on the west side into the keep. Woodhaven wasn’t getting extra supply for escorting.

Add 27 Servers For Potential Matchups

A lot of players are choosing certain servers because of coverage in the hours they are not on, that is one of the reasons for stacking. Several T1 guilds want to be on a server where there is coverage so that there is a chance the work they put into upgrading will still be there when they come back.

Unless you are forcing players to split to a different server and forcing them to stay specifically on that server, I don’t think anything is going to be accomplished in adding in more servers.

As I also understand it, the EU servers don’t have a plethora of coverage, mostly their prime time is where the action is at and if there is any coverage in their off hours, most is probably concentrated in the top 3 servers and even then they probably don’t match NA top 3 for coverage.

So, I don’t think that adding in more servers is going to offer better matches because there isn’t enough coverage to go around and you’ll just kitten off players if you force them to move and stay on a server.

I think it is a technical limitation of why we don’t get all the chests at once.

As I understand it, a player had tried to bank the world boss chests and was only able to bank 4 and lost any others. I don’t think people would be happy with loosing any of the nicer chests.

No one puts catapults behind doors because it was fixed so that catapults don’t do damage on the other side of the door.

That is catapults only though.

I don’t like ballista for the reason you listed. Probably why a lot of others don’t care to use them for anti siege.

Upgrades shoud just be free. It shouldn’t cost anything out of the pocket of the players because it is just a few that will do the upgrades. Everyone should be able to start the next one without having to have enough coin.

Having costs free for the lowest ranked server won’t alleviate anything. You will still get steamrolled if it is a slaughter anyway.

There are so many people in this thread who lack basic comprehension skills and got completely off topic.

The idea that a blocked/dodged/missed attack should force reveal is perfectly reasonable and should be implemented.

Just calling something perfectly reasonable with no reasons behind it doesn’t somehow make it so…

Ok, here is a clue for you. When you use a thief venom skill, it is now used up even if the attack does not land. When you use any weapon skill, it goes into CD even if the attack does not land. When you use a utility skill on an enemy player and you do not land it because it was blocked/evaded/missed your utility skill goes into CD. Do you see a pattern here?

and when a warrior misses a burst skill the adrenaline is used up…. Oh wait it’s not, they can use another burst skill right away….

Actually, unless they swap to a different weapon, they have a cool down on their adrenaline skill. They don’t have to fill up though.

It doesn’t bother me, I still don’t have a problem with stealth.

I don’t really want them to look at stuff like this. Developers may get it in their head that I should loose adrenaline on a miss. People are asking for stealth to be revealed even on a miss and I don’t care to have stuff like this messed with because it could carry over onto my warrior.

People asked for randomized matches, alternating matches and we got them. Look where we are. People are not happy getting blown out, people are not happy steamrolling. It isn’t fun doing either. At least under the old system, more matches were balanced than what we have now.

And when they do balance out, we’ll still be back where we all were before randomized matches.

Extra equipment bar

I like to swap my horn and shield.

Same with my axe and sword.

Also my bow and hammer.

I’d also like to have a more convenient access to siege and consumable buffs instead of having to open the backpack tab. If I want to toss down a few siege quickly, I have to have the backpack open and I find it much easier to place siege when the backpack is closed.

So, I’d like to see a bar that I can place anywhere on my screen that has 5 slots that I can put anything I want. I’d also like this bar to have several pages for my stuff that I’d like to have a more convenient access.

This bar can be a option to have turned on or off so that those that don’t care to have one can turn it off completely.

One more suggestion for UI….

That notification on the screen telling me about some event for the living story, please give me a way to just turn it off completely. If I feel like doing the living story in PvE, I’ll go turn it on but I don’t want to see it up there all the time when I have other interests in mind.

Griefing WvW JPs

It is absolutely intended that you can fight people in the JP. The fact that so many people are piling into the map to get the achievement is good for any and all of you who are capable of laying the smack down on them, and, if they manage to fight back is hopefully going to encourage some of them to stick around and play WvW. If you don’t want to get killed by other players, don’t play WvW. Plain and simple. The achievement isn’t required for getting the meta-achievement on purpose.

I don’t think the Obsidium Sanctum was the best place to encourage PvE players to get into WvW. It probably was the worst place to try and encourage PvE players to get into WvW. I applaud the effort but you really missed the mark.

This is a hearding sheep to a wolf pack kind of thing.

If someone is there spoiling for a fight, they are in a PvP zone for such purposes. You either have to defeat that player or leave the PvP zone.

The big problem with thieves in WvW is that they take advantage of new/bad players. There are a LOT of these in WvW. Does that mean they should balance based upon new/bad players? Nah, because that would kill depth in the game.

Actually in a way yes the game should be balanced based upon new/bad players in fact this is vital to the longevity of a multiplayer game, otherwise you can easily end up in a situation where someone enters for the first time, constantly gets stomped and never goes in again. This does not mean that there can be no depth, you’re creating a false dichotomy. Every profession needs a build that has a low skill to high power ratio. This of course isnt to say it should be the most efficient or the most powerful as it shouldn’t be but that there needs to be a way for new players to feel like they’re not a free kill the moment they step into WvW or PvP.

This is the reason why there’s the noob tube in CoD.

The new players can learn. That game shouldn’t be balanced around them since they can learn. If they don’t wish to put any effort in learning how to play the game, then we don’t need them. They will just quit the first time something comes along that is a challange.

If they don’t feel they can do anything, we are better off without them playing. Last thing I would want is for my team to have a bunch of the quitter because it is hard types.

We were all new to this game and we learned how to play, at least most of us. If this game was balanced around new players, this game would get boring real fast after we learned how to play, then we would get bored for it being too easy.

If they were taking them on 1 at a time, you just need to learn how to deal with them in relation to your profession. You may have to change your build for a more 1v1 situation if you wish to go in there and fight. If you have done all that, you just need to learn how to deal with them in relation to your profession.

Why is it that nobody has to learn how to beat any other class in the game except for thieves?

Why is it that nobody has to learn how to beat an engi, a warr, a ranger, a necro, a guard or an ele (mesmer is another story, but that’s another topic)

The problem with thieves is that they have above bunker levels of survivability, note I didn’t say mitigation, combined with insane damage. That needs fixing. And you can cry about learning to play all you like, but it’s really just a case of people defending their thieves because they’re terrified of getting nerfed.

Why is it that people don’t want to step up their game and instead ask for changes to compensate?

I used to have trouble with mesmers until the confusion nerf. I had planned on playing that class to understand it more. I do have trouble with some of them rangers, specifically the ones that can take no damage and not be cc for a good 15 seconds.

I play a warrior. I don’t care to play the thief. Way to squishy and their traits are not very group oriented. There have been so many times that all I have to do is look for the chopping animation of my axe, swinging animation of my hammer, and the thief is dead.

Stealth doesn’t stop damage.

Stealth doesn’t stop CC, maybe imobolize but that is a condition and stealth can cleanse that if traited.

It isn’t hard to deal with them at all. Just because they stealthed doesn’t mean they have left, they still think they have an advantage and press on, ultimately they die because think they are going against someone that hasn’t improved their game.

Step up your game.

Why not just guest on another server for the week? Didn’t a guild from SoR do that when they were out of T1 that one week?

You cannot wvw when you guest. They either had a second account and used it or they paid gems to transfer when they went to JQ for that week.

No it has nothing to do with being really bad. There have been a plethora of videos of terrible, and I emphasize the word TERRIBLE thieves up to 7v1 groups and taking them cleanly out.

All they have to do is just disengage the fight and leave freely or just wait for the decent time to just strike each one. Neither require any skill. I suppose a counter would be a well placed stealth trap and the thief would have to be dumber than dumb to trigger it, then its GG for the thief.

If a class can disengage and engage freely at will, there isn’t much a group can do against a thief with 0 skill if the thief is persistent.

Sometimes I pop it thinking I had sword/warhorn equipped and I’m trying to use the second horn skill.

Unless I can use other skills such as fear, justice, shake, I’ll still continue to avoid this skill. That is probably the main reason people don’t use this skill.

Use FGJ beforehand, the cooldown is 25 seconds while the form is 20 seconds. You won’t need Fear me, nor Shake it off as Rampage give you stability and extra stuns, knockbacks, and knockdown.

I still use shouts for healing and condition removal. All I really want out of rampage is the stability.
