Not necessarily. Nightmare Court consider themselves to be the natural state of Sylvari and they are not Mordrem. Mordrem as we know them are just the minions of Vinewrath.
We know Sylvari are Mordrem. We also know that all other dragon minions that we’ve encountered have 1 overarching goal, to feed their Elder Dragon (that’s literally all that Elder Dragons do, eat and sleep). Granted sometimes this means creating an army and sometimes this means taking out possible threats but all their (minions) actions are intended to gather magic and feed it to the Elder Dragon. I don’t think the Nightmare Court is particularly in-line with how ED minions commonly act (or at least I don’t particularly see how their actions help Mordy to feed).
Then again, most minions don’t have much in the way of higher mental function. The only Risen who were able to talk and take seemingly independent action were some of the Risen Champions while the average minion was pretty mindless. So far we haven’t seen too much intelligence or independence form the Destroyers or Branded. So I guess the Sylvari are probably a closer analog to the Sons of Svanir (who seem relatively intelligent and independent).
- Is the sealed cavern with Caithe’s memory seed the very same cave? Arbor bay to beneath the Mamnoon Lagoon/Sage Lands is quite a distance. And if so, why does opening it ward off the Mordrem, when the seeds were guarded by Mordrem? Or was that the Forgotten magic, since the Shadow of the Dragon has no problem once inside.
- What happened to the other seeds? This is at least partially answered by the presence of Malyck, answered below.
- What are the golden ruins in the sealed cavern? The cavern was sealed by Forgotten magic, so it would suggest that they are the originators of these structures, but we’ve never seen Forgotten architecture before so we cannot confirm this.
I don’t think it’s the same cave. Or else we might have seen some seeds or at least remnants. The cave was sealed by the Forgotten but the golden city is reminiscent of the description of Mursaat cities. So the question might rather be: why would the Forgotten seal away a Mursaat city? Of course its not like the Forgotten got along with the Mursaat or anything.
So we come to the $1,000,000 question: If the sylvari are Mordrem, why don’t they all behave like Mordrem?
My theory? The Pale Tree was planted and awoke well before Mordy, so Mordy couldn’t directly influence her behavior (because he was asleep). This gave her an opportunity to be influenced by Ventari’s teaching (and maybe some other stuff) and now the Pale Tree is in turn protecting the Sylvari from Mordy’s corruption.
Because it seems to be that the Nightmare is a manifestation of Mordremoth’s power, but if that is the case then Dreamers should be more susceptible, not less. And where does the Pale Tree get this protective ability from?
It’s still an assumption (but a very good one) that the Nightmare comes from Mordy. However the Nightmare might only indirectly come from Mordy. Maybe the Pale Tree was able to expel Mordy’s influence over her and it took the shape of the Nightmare. Remember the Dream and Nightmare reflect the experiences of the Sylvari. Those Sylvari that are tortured by the Nightmare Court not only fall to nightmare but their experienced add to the Nightmare. So it’s likely the Nightmare only reflects Mordy’s corruption but does not stem directly from Mordy.
- I don’t think the Dream is simply a manifestation of the dragon hive mind – we see it touching things that aren’t associated with Mordremoth (including animals, such as the White Stag). The Nightmare may be an encroachment of the Mordrem hive-mind on the Dream.
Yeah I’m with you on the dream not being directly tied to Mordy. Maybe the Dream was a pre-existing thing which the Pale Tree simply managed to link to and use to help her free herself form Mordy.
From what Trahearne said, Mordremoth wasn’t fully awake yet. It could have been that the Soundless were the first to fall simply because they were the easier targets. Once Mordy was fully awake though, either by the cannon fire or the Pact just had awful timing, he could exert the full force of his mental powers on the other Sylvari.
I don’t think Mordy is fully awakened yet. When Elder Dragons fully wake up, it’s rather hard to miss. Although I must say, Mordy sure is taking a long time to get out of bed.
3. Unlike other types of Elder Dragons
Do you count Glint/Glaust as a minion then?
Glaust was a minion (a lieutenant or champion specifically), Glint was a freed minion (even though they’re the same, sort of).
Um… I think everyone is forgetting a very important point here. The Sylvari don’t need to resist corruption, it’s very much the opposite. They must continue to be corrupted by Ventari’s teachings. Their natural state is that of a Mordrem
All of the dragons aside from Mordremoth have been awake at the same time, so far. And so far, none of them have bothered to interact. but it does bring up a neat point that so far, Mordremoth was the only one that really spread so far into other dragon “territories” I guess. I wonder if that will have any impact on things.
I don’t know about that. He stopped just shy of the Brand, and has only hit the Shiverpeaks far south of even the Sons of Svanir.
Yeah I noticed that too. Was rather hoping to see what happens when a Mordrem runs into a Branded but that didn’t happen.
Honestly, I think a completely unexpected race is a possibility, since there’s sort of a hint of a race (Mursaat, maybe? Their home is supposed to be deep in the Maguuma…), but I doubt it’ll be Tengu just yet.
Soooo the mursaat came back in total secrecy over the last 250 years without anyone knowing of their existence?
I doubt.
Not to mention, as far as we know, there is only 1 left.
Well they are technically invisible so it wouldn’t be that hard for them to go unnoticed.
Everytime they call me boss I feel like I’m in the maffia lmao
Yeah, especially if Jory is the one saying this. There is something about her voice…
Feels ok if Marjory is calling me boss, not so much when Taimi or Rox is doing it.
Maybe we can have a nice touching moment with Taimi in which she gives us a nickname or something… Although I think that’s sort of where the problem lies. So far the biconics have been fairly well characterized (more or less Braham still feels a bit thin), and they’ve had a number of interactions with each other but (probably due to the lack of the necessary in game mechanics) I don’t particularly feel as if there is much of a relationship between the PC and the biconics. I’m literally just the silent protagonist they drag around who gets to kill all the big scary monsters. I know there were technical issues preventing the PC from talking, but I do feel as though a lot of those character interaction moments aren’t there. Most of the dialog is rather to the point, and the dialog options are somewhat limited. So there were no moments in which we could develop nicknames.
but after we stepped down post Zhaitan campaign
Which was never actually explained though, but no that’s a completely different conversation.
Funny how they implemented mail carriers from a forum suggestion pretty fast compared to other needed changes like this. Gemstore item = profit, so i wouldn’t have hopes for this soon even though it is sorely needed when it comes to re-running for achieves.
Different teams, different technical difficulties involved etc.
Although that said, yes skip buttons are important.
This is called phasing. The issue with phasing isn’t the resources required it’s that you’re separating your player base into different phases. ANet has previously noted that they’d prefer that everyone play together.
Mind you there’s no reason we can’t have purely visual phasing going on (i.e. changes to some textures, the weather effects etc.) that at least would give the post-zhaitan orr a slightly more cleansed feel)
I do wish in general we had more control over how forgiving our characters are toward the NPCs. My character would forgive Caithe, but she would also have forgiven Canach a long time ago and it feels strange every time the dialog forces her to give him a hard time.
It could be as simple as having a couple of different unvoiced dialog options to choose from so we could pick our tone.
I’m not sure if there’s a technical limit to how complicated their dialog trees can go, but definitely I’d like some variety in my responses.
My character would kill Caithe for:
- Deceiving me in a moment of crisis.
- Leading me on a wild goose chase all over Tyria.
- Helping a psychopath kill innocent people and creatures.
- Abandoning me in a fight against a deadly dragon champion.
- Not trusting me.
My character is ruthless an cold to most.
Although I’m not a RPer, I do like to humanize my characters and I think your character is pretty in line with my Necro. Mind you my Ranger would forgive her. But my Ranger is a Sylvari and you know can’t trust them, not even to respond correctly.
What I don’t like is why didn’t Caithe and Wynne… you know… attack Faolain?! Not necessarily kill her, but at least subdue her and take her to the Tree for judgement.
Ignoring the whole centaur business, judgement for what? For being extremely nosy? Threatening to hurt Wynne? I think Faolain’s future is getting ahead of itself. From Caithe’s perspective she wasn’t evil, and she was still extremely torn over if Faolain even kill the centaurs.
who knows what a dragon might do if given the chance to corrupt an unborn dragon
My guess is he’d probably just eat it. I think the biggest threat is not Mordy getting the egg, but us losing the egg.
(and the revelation of Sylvari being vulnerable to control meaning she could be subtlely under it’s influence or fall too)
I’d personally prefer something like a subtle influence myself. Currently it seems like the line is pretty clear, either you’re corrupted and loony as a bag of cats or your not and you’re mostly fine. The idea of a Mordy having a subtle influence over all Sylvari brings in a new dimension of mistrust. Sure Caithe isn’t corrupted, but can we truly trust that her actions might not be influenced ever so slightly? How about that guard standing over there? Can I trust him to have my back?
On a side note, who is to say that because we broke the seal the egg wasn’t safe anymore in that specific location, the dragon did attack shortly after the seal was broken.
My Charr Necromancer says yes.
Sylvari will rule the world! Her crimes are already forgivin!
Don’t you mean Mordy….
Done it 4 times. 2 coats. RNG is smiling down on me. Of course I’ve probably just jinxed myself…
ANet has some very talented artists indeed
1 Thread – 11 Posts made by the OP – no relevant message.
I think the message is, “I didn’t like it, and I’m going to relate my experience in the most passive-aggressive means I can.”
You forgot verbose.
Looks like they’re adding racial tension. Hope that’s dark enough…
I don’t get the whole appeal of darkness. Maybe I’m just growing old.
I’m just hoping for a little less sylvari angst, and maybe not revolve everything around one race? But with a name like “Heart of Thorns” that’s probably not going to happen any time soon.
Well given the last reveal… I don’t see how you could not involve them. Mind you at this point the best we can hope for is to at least see the conflict from the perspective of the different races (how do the Charr, Norn, Asura and human react and respond).
Although I don’t particularly see any way to decrease the focus on the Sylvari at least in terms of the primary plot of Heart of Thorns. ANet has pretty much written the narrative in such a way that it makes no sense to suddenly start focusing on the other races without moving away from the central plot. Maybe we can get some Charr focus via Rytlock, but seeing as how (I guess it’s ok to spoil right?) he’s still running around the mists I’m not sure how you can have a strong Charr focused narrative from that (i.e. the Charr aren’t going to invade the mists to single-handedly save Rytlock).
They likely won’t be there permanently, things are only in the gemstore temporarily because it encourages more people to buy them quickly.
i.e. buy gems with real money instead of giving players time to grinding in game gold.
Every now and again I get the feeling arenanet simply cashes in their “good will tokens” with a kitten move that makes them some easy money. Get raged at, apologize or ignore it, and some time later do it all again.
Actually I think there’s a completely separate BLTC group in ANet whose only job it is to make skins and promotions. It seems that usually the ones doing the apologizing / ignoring aren’t even involved with that part of the game. Mind you someone still needs to give the final approval I guess so it’s not a excuse. Mind you (and here comes the excuse) looking back at it the sprockets are pretty useless beyond a single back piece (well ok a single back piece with 4 or so proper skins and a bunch of inprogress skins)..
This could work… if it was a full set. Well lets hope this doesn’t go Lawless i.e. never completed. Well it does come off as bad value, when a fullset (Aetherblade, incarnate, krytan etc.) all cost 800 but collectively these incomplete pieces cost 900 gems. Man ANet got 900 gems just sitting there in the BLTC waiting for something to spend them on (unlike the other players apparently, I actually like the creepy ugly looking sets) :P
Well, it’s been a month and a half, maybe two, since Caithe ran off with the egg.
I think you’re forgetting that development time and release schedule doesn’t necessarily translate to in-game time. The entire season 2 might only be set over a long weekend (unlikely) or only over a week or two.
RNG is RNG.
Or item isn’t even some accounts loot table.
Accounts do not have loot tables.
How can you know?
It would literally means someone at ANet coded unique account loot tables. Programmers are a proudly lazy lot (Keep It Simply Silly and all), so I doubt someone would go through all that effort. Extra effort for no reasonable benefit other than the create a verbose system that can only introduce additional problems.
OH yea. I’ve done 70+ vine runes….NO COAT!!!!! GRIND WARS 3. ANYONE????!!!!!!
Then you have the singular worst luck ever. I’ve heard its a 50/50 chance. Do you have bad luck at heads or tails?
Look at Hector’s post history.

Please note each of these posts essentially the same and riddled with liberal capitalization and exclamation. I don’t think we should be given too much credence to what he says.
a friend got 5 boxes in a row. he has a total of 6 boxes now.
I got nothing.
something seriously is not right
Have I told you about human’s and their monkey brains? No. Well let’s just say that there wasn’t much need for monkey brains to ever objectively track and measure probability. In fact to the contrary, monkey brains tend to err on the side of caution and is more likely to see pattern where there are none.
15 times and no Coat… this is not High Drop…
Sample size is a bit small to make assumptions of drop rates.
70+ times. ZERO coat
Slightly better sample size, but I still feel that we might need in the hundreds (ideally a thousand or two) samples
Maybe I should just play something without luck as a factor.
Which basically means not playing a single loot based game (which means most of the MMOs on the market would be off of the table).
Biggest evidence is probably that ANet originally planned to have them as a playable race, thus one would assume that some work (or at the very least planning) has already gone into Tengu as a playable race and thus making it more likely that ANet would continue on existing efforts than start all over.
Of course that’s not technically evidence…
story/gameplay segration.
Not really. More like MMO time-travel. Since each zone sort of follows narratively (no Pact in low level areas because they don’t technically exists by that time). Fort Trinity (and Orr in general) exists in a time around Zaitan’s death.
The very best Copper I was at had great DPS and condition dmg, all single target, and we were the first to finish a Breach Boss.
Jip, single target, dps, someone kiting the adds properly and another kiting copper away from the bubbles while people actually focused on them.
AoE is not the answer!
Explain how not using AoE helps more than it hurts without going off-topic. Try to answer it in three sentences or less without going off on several different tangents.
(Hint: You can’t, if you actually understand how the boss works)
AOE. Is. Bad.
There explained in 3 sentences without tangents :P
Get the shortbow that shoots unicorns then.
+1 for rainbow unicorns
Well the problem here OP is that you’re assuming that perception is the same thing as objective fact. It is a fact that the Sylvari helped the Pact against Zhaitan, but perception is not a product of fact but of opinion. The average man on the street might have heard about how the Sylvari helped in the fight against Zhaitan, but they also heard about how a Sylvari (Scarlet) attacked Divinity’s Reach, Destroyed LA, how her forced wreaked havoc in Charr and Norn lands (during Flame and Frost). Maybe they even heard about how the zypherites were betrayed by Aerin. Not to mention the Nightmare Court. And undoubtedly the man on the street has heard about the damage that the Mordrem has done to Fort Salma, and in the Charr lands. Then hearing that the Sylvari are aslo Mordrem!?
Just because facts exist doesn’t mean that the man on the street will align his perception to those facts. Honestly in the real world people are still denying climate change!
From the rumor mill, the company’s earnings calls indicated an expectation of increased revenue during Q3 atypical of their normal projections. If that’s the case, it will be a paid expansion between the months of July and September.
July and September?!
This will be a loooong break.
Well in theory the Living World team is focused on Living World content not expansion content, so we might still get some LW content between now and then. But we’ll only know officially on the 24th. However we might (if convention sticks) get some info on LW next Tuesday
WoW lost me around Cataclysm. Ignoring some of the major issues with the expansion the core gameplay wasn’t really doing it for me anymore. Tried some F2P MMOs but the experience was so-so. Heard about GW2, brought it a few days after release and I was pretty happy. It’s not a perfect game but is does enough right (and better than other MMOs) to make it one of the better MMOs on the market (if not the best, but that’s a personal view and obviously different strokes and all that since it offers a very different core set of engagements). Keeping an eye out for EQNext though, but for now GW2 is my MMO-crack of choice.
Can’t we all just… get along??
I’d love to, but these Sylvari keep looking at me strangely… Sorry but I have to get them before they get me.
Yes, you must kick Sylvari from guilds.
Also as Asuras.
How about me create an Asura cannon and get rid of the Sylvari using the Asura (as projectiles)?
excuse me but i can’t take this kind of thing as lightly as you guys.
i just have seen enough bullying in my life as a person who knows what kind of kitten they are themselves – i know i’m bad. below everyone else. so there is no need to repeat that to me again and again.= no.
Um this is kinda like a joke thread… I don’t think anyone actually means any ill will towards Sylvari… particularly not after we set them all on fire >:)
I like how everyone’s assuming that the Sylvari would be losing that sort of a fight. Open world pvp gogo! Come at us bros!
Oh just you wait until the Charr finished the Asura Cannon. Let’s see how you manage to shrug of an Asura to the face at mach-5!
not sure how you intend to even hit us when we’re riding a dragon and having a good time!
Can your dragon out fly a flaming Asura shot out of a cannon at super-sonic speeds?
stop treating us like monsters, we are not your enemy!
You can’t trust Sylvari, they belong to the dragon now!
I hate this Quaggan “new race” treads.I dont know if this is a joke, troll or OP is just serious….Quaggan could never be new race cause they look kittened…..they cant wear armor, they cant fight and its not even funny to even consider that as option.
Well we see several quaggan wearing cloths, so why not armor? Also I think it would be pretty interesting to play a cute quaggan that goes all sharp toothed and evil whenever he entered combat (as quaggans do).
I probably shouldn’t be creating a forum post just for this

Was expecting something epic, like LA season finale. Wasn’t bad, but (in my opinion) LA was much better.
Well it was epic in a different way, well maybe epic is the wrong word. Where LA was less character focused (and thus the ending relied heavily more on the event of LAs destruction than the particular story of anyone affected by said destruction) this ending had a stronger character focus meaning that there was less need (in my opinion) to do another LA style event
Oh poor little Sylvari. If it makes you feel better I’ll be sure to burn down the Pale Tree as painlessly as possible :P
Nothing will be the same for sylvaris in the lore as far as this goes.
This is what’s got me most excited. After Canach set loose the Karka on the consortium (for good reason, but with bad results), Scarlet ruined LA, what’s his name brought down the Zypherites… well let’s face it even if the majority is still under the protection of the Pale Tree (i.e. not corrupted…. I mean not uncorrupted by Mordy) then there would still be a lot of ill will towards them… especially given how they also destroyed the Pack fleet.
All of our current Sylvari come straight from the Pale tree so Trahearne doing this makes no sense. On the other hand it’s possible it differs between everyone. Trahearne would be able to shrug it off more I suppose than others. Nightmare Court can probably be consumed much more easily.
That is if they aren’t already consumed…
I don’t think this is correct, if you watch the cinematic again, you’ll see that the Sylvari who are fighting Pact troops look to be Nightmare Court, and the one who puts a spear/stave through the one dude’s chest is Faolain. Sylvari that are still connected to the Dream will still be protected from Mordremoth’s influence, IMO.
But I got the feeling that the end cinematic was more of a trailer, demonstrating on a single events but a series of events (for example Faolain and Canach’s scenes seemed to be set in a different time and place than the Pack attack).
THAT IS A SPOILER! Edit it, GEEZ!
Well firstly this is a question not a statement, and secondly this is something people have been asking since whats-his-face from episode 1 of season 2. So not that big of a spoiler though.
You know, it is entirely possible that some of the Sylvari we see in the cut scene aren’t Pact soldiers gone bad. There are other, not born of the Pale Tree, Sylvari out there. And without the protection of Ventari & the Tree, they will have had no resistance to Mordremoth.
Jip I’m expecting we’ll be either killing Mylack or helping him as a resistance fighter of sorts.
Do we really need to use another memory seed and play as caithe again?
Not as such…
But you know, the Pale Tree gave us these seeds and it would be a shame to not use them (that and my bank is pretty full).
I found the Forgotten stuff and the Ascension trials out of placed and forced in only to put in lore for the sake of putting in old lore. Why was there a seal on that cave after all?
I know right (about the seal stuff). It would have been nice if they told us what the golden city was for (which would hopefully have explained why it needed sealing).
psssst….I think you mean Living Story, not PS.
Is there a difference?
Um… tomato tomato? Wait that doesn’t work in writing… http://youtu.be/zZ3fjQa5Hls?t=1m30s
If the first expansion is going to be about Sylvari I’m gonna puke.
Well SPOILER ALERT if it’s going to be about Mordy then it’s going to be about the Sylvari.
Honestly here I was all excited about the theory finally being confirmed, I was hoping that this could be a spring board for us to re-explore so any of the old theories hand half theories that have cropped up over the years regarding elder dragons, dragon minions, dragon corruption and the sylvari as a whole…. I guess however the thing people were more focused on doing was playing a game of cognitive dissonance
So, in other words the most cited, fanfiction-ish and unfounded theory since beta was supposedly one of anet’s story’s greatest mysteries?
I hope that isn’t something the writers are proud of.
I don’t even really know what to say. Just wow. Lame.
I don’t know, just because player were able to guess it doesn’t mean its bad. Remember the series Lost? You know where the writers were so determined to be smarter than the audience that they purposefully took the series into the most stupidest directs? Yeah, I’d rather ANet not do that.
They won’t all be bad :P Caithe says “I am your friend!”, Canach says “We aren’t the enemy!” and then Faolin stabs a human with a spear… Clearly the nightmare is indeed Mordremoth’s calling, and Ventari’s beliefs are NOT the natural sylvari way, and I think that many characters will now be presented a choice. It looks like many races will have factions attempting to exterminate the Sylvari. It will be very interesting to see what happens… but since they’re a playable race, they can’t delete people’s characters!
Well have to wait apparently until the 24th for the Heart of Thorns announcement, but I think that this can have some very interesting consequences lore wise.
Just finished the latest episode, guess we’ll have to wait until 24 January to find out, or so the final cinematic says (kinda odd to have a trailer in game…).
Those stupid cabbage heads! Anyway it’s confirmed Sylvari are dragon minions.
I am sorry that you are allowed to go on Winter break to spend with your family while Anet is not allowed to…
If the break after the coming episode is long, then complain.
DO NOT complain over a Christmas break.
I don’t mean to be rude to Anet staff or anyone for that matter but your post is invalid. We all have jobs as well, I myself had to work for the so called “Christmas break”, and everyone I know also had no break really.
They are not volunteering at Anet, it’s their job, so yeah they should work like everyone else.
Actually you’re comment is invalid since it presupposed that because your job sucks (and the jobs of all of your friends) than everyone else’s should suck as well. Actually more accurately your comment is invalid because you’re demonstrating very little understanding that your perception is simply one of many nor necessarily an accurate measurement of truth. That is, just because you think something doesn’t inherently mean that the thought corresponds to a objective truth or reality. Plenty of people x-mas breaks, so just because you don’t doesn’t mean other people don’t or shouldn’t.
ANet doesn’t seem to like running holiday events and living world content together
hey, i like my charr barracks hiding the wintersday tree all the way in the back behind some buildings and metal tyvm….
In their defense charr do need to keep up appearances.
Daily dungeons.
World bosses.
Silverwaste chest farm.
Event runs in Orr.There are A LOT of ways to make money in GW2.
With each dungeon path giving you at least 1 gold I’d say dungeons are at the top. Only thing better would be playing the tp.
To be fair they did add more stuff around the world early on in the Living World, but more or less no one even noticed it so they most likely decided that it was not worth spending the time and resources on it.
Granted we weren’t really informed about them so the lack of a reaction is mostly understandable.
Considering “the living world was just the beginning”, we can expect a greater concept to take its place.
The issue is always going to be around content production. A bigger concept would be difficult to pull off.
There may be a Season 3 as a lead in to the launch of the EXPANSION ^^
Or we could have both
I could only grudgingly accept LS content as an acceptable replacement for expansion models only if they manage 2.5 8 episode seasons per calender year with 5 zones per year, adding a new world boss and new dungeon for each season; I could live with that.
Yeah everyone asking for expansions some how magically think that bundling the content together would somehow lead to more content or that because it’s called an expansion somehow they’d be able to produce more content faster. I don’t know (because I don’t know what goes on inside Anet) but somehow the assumption seems broken.
The content is not enough, indeed.
Yeah true enough. Although maybe the measurement of content is wrong. If we think of a game like WoW their content patches usually come in the form if a raid. Unfortunately a raid is frankly not a lot of content. What like 6 new bosses? Maybe a recycled model here and there, some copy paste mobs to litter the path between boss A and boss B. But somehow people consider a raid to be more content because it takes longer to do. So I guess that means Anet needs to start giving us not more content but content that takes longer to complete?
^ You are aware that you can still access the other parts of the story, right?
So everything since the start of S2 have been permanent as well.yea for 1200 gems… can we call it paid expansion?
Nah, but we could call it paid DLC
I really feel that there is a serious lack of content in this game, and anyone arguing that “we have an expansion worth of content, we just got it a little bit at a time” needs to do some research as to what type of content is typically delivered in an expansion (new continents, new races, new professions, new skills, new weapon types, etc.)
Which is an interesting comparison, because everything except the new continents are more examples of content variety than content amount (races, professions skills, weapons etc.). Or at least those things take a very different shape and form from say a new map and require different interactions.
Anet your playerbase is starving and you are continuing to feed us crumbs.
We need a meal!
Actually, feeding a starving person a meal might kill it. It is better to feed it crumbs…
Technically true. But I think we’re entering false analog territory here :P
Except we are at 2.5 years, and there hasn’t even been an announcement yet. Usually the announcement is 6 months before launch. At this point we are looking at slightly over 3 years before the first expansion. But there is the possibility that Anet is going to launch it very soon after an announcement in which case it might be sooner.
Historically ArenaNet have released expansions/new campaigns around 3 months after the announcement though.
Which could easily mean announcement at PAX and release around the 10th anniversary of the series.
That’s nice, so no having to wait for a whole year.
welp…today is the day if i see if my prediction was true or not
with that new trademark and logo though, I do not think I’m far off!
Or you have to wait till they announce it at PAX.
however if the first season is any indication, we might see a: Continued in…
Which might be an expansion, or just Season 3.My hopes are expansion, the cynical me says it`s just an announcement or season 3.
So we might only get official word in March… which sucks but you know that’s how big game companies tend to do business.
If we’re going get to anther break between season 2 and 3 (oh I so hope not) the least they can do is give us SAB (even if there isn’t any new content).
Necro for PvE, Ranger for PvP. Don’t WvW too much anymore, but I use to have a thief for that.
I don’t care how they stand, I just wish armor didn’t look strange on them. IMO it doesn’t have much to do with their stance, it’s more about needing more adjusting to each specific race rather than being fitted to humans/norn and the other races getting the short end.
No.
Fix the issue with paw prints in sand/snow etc, first.
Things that need to be fixed long before any consideration to stances is even made (particularly the charmor issue).
Living in South Africa but playing on EU servers I never actually have lag below 200 – 300 (on a very very very good day, usually I’m looking at 400). So maybe I’m simply use to it, but I’m not really noticing any lag.
