What classes (or builds) do you think have high, medium and low risk/reward ratio?
For example class X has high risk but medium reward -> risk/reward -> high/medium -> medium high ratio -> ok scenario.
Class Y has low risk/high reward -> low ratio -> class is eventually too strong.
Keep in mind, that pvp in this game is about capturing and holding points, some tactics/builds while may look good on paper don’t fit well in the stucture of pvp.
What changes would you propose to improve life of high ratio classes/builds and maybe decrease effectivness of low ratio classes/builds?

arguable… either make it active and give high vigor+stability for short amount of time or have passive dodge, for example have 75% chance for attacks directed at you to miss for brief period of time… just branstorming here though

It may seem like more work for the odd guild that does everything but keep in mind there are almost NO pvp guilds at the moment – something HAS to be done
there is almost no pvp guilds because pvp community is very small
TTS (guild consisting of 11 physical guilds, based on killing Teq only)has more players than entire pvp community, that is just sad

i am glad i play one too and can solo door with relative ease but i shudder from just thinking about how ppl do it w/o thief
imo 2 things need change for sure:
- respawn needs to be either removed or put on very long timer
- clown car, if stayed, needs WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY less mobs

won’t happen due to common excuse: players are better than dev’s at game (which kind of does make sense considering that players spend more time actually playing game )
but i admit there were many times where i just wanted to see devs doing high lv fractals + instability
even if devs get away with that excuse, the fact stays that some of maps/levels/instabilities are poorly designed/weren’t thought through; this all comes from rushed content
2 weeks updates is nice and all and very abmicious, but if the quality has to suffer so much maybe to make compromiss and update game every month
for me personally, as player, this 2 weeks updates feel almost like a job; certainly nobody forces me to do it but you know how it is in games…. if you don’t do it while everyone does, you do kind of miss things out as well as playing with other

i don’t find the encounter that hard, outside of one shot charge from mai at high lv and the fact that you can’t dodge over circles
however instabilities can make it really depressing

- doesn’t show pvp/wvw/pve population
in wow they also had high population of thieves, but when they posted number of active max lv thieves, it was barely at 2%… same was with pvp in some patches, they had 25% of arena representation as warriors and 2ish% thieves…
this is how tpvp looks in reality: i see many thieves~

They changed it back to the previous better look; at least for light armor.
actually i think they did mid way: they gave the texture back but also left some of the glow; the leaves also begin with your skin color and not white like before, i like it
medium boots also got some glow on the shoe soles now

i get dredge every run for past 4 weeks now, yesterday i finally got something else, thraumnova…. it was first time for me doing that map and i run fractals every day

also the weapon drop rate is soooooooooo loooooow now
before patch i would get weapon every 2-3rd run, since patch i got only 1 and i run 1-2 fractals every day -_-

issues i have with pet spam in pvp:
- pet dmg is too high, it should be shifted to player
- underwater ranger can’t die, they just sit forever in downed state and keep comming back to life (interrupting is not as easy, lol underwater combat)
- major clustering of the screen
- and major one: pet blocking, for w/e reason this game prioritizes pets instead of targeted person if they stand close to each other; i had cases where i was targeting ranger and tried to backstab him and my chracter would turn around and hit his pet instead….

tpvp: tanky necros spamming condis/fear, tanky engis spamming condis, hambow wars with HS, unkillable troll PU mesmers porting repair kits, shatter mesmers one shotting ppl with daze/immob combo, bunker guards never dying, zerker guards one shotting thieves, spirit rangers with pet blocking cluster spam on screen^, mad aoe is flying around…. meanwhile they keep nerfing anything that keeps thieves alive or viable for that matter…

I’m sort about Backstab’s coefficient of 2.4. You must have difficulty defeating thieves with your Rifle’s Kill Shot’s coefficient of 3.75. :c
Oh god, please never pretend Kill Shot is a reliable/good skill. I don’t play warrior and even I know that move is an absolute joke… >_>:
If you’re talking about the cast time, then I could always mention that you first have to, y’know, see your enemy coming, and then you have to react extremely quickly; not burning all of your evades is probably going to be necessary, because the effects of being 1-shotted are disastrous otherwise.
Either way, that’s over 150% of BS’s damage; of course it should have some weaknesses.
i wonder why rifle was never a viable weapon in tpvp.
I just used it in sPvP. Created a warrior 20 mins ago, was too lazy to find a good build online. I just created a GC rifle build and it worked extremely well compared to other BS’d builds I’ve made in the past.
and i run my thief naked in spvp, real cool story.
tbh i don’t think it would matter if thief has armor on or not, they get one shot either way haha

I will defend skyhammer to the death… some people run a build that just fits perfectly with the map, and do great. Others, run glassy builds with 0 sustain and get punished, sorry, its true ;/. But what is stopping everyone else from using the same tactics? are there monsters under your bed that come out and eat you if you use a mesmer with a focus on skyhammer? because that is some serious kitten, and you need to call the police.

too many of them that affect thief class too much (that frankly can’t build tanky as much as they would like to and heavily rely on crit dmg and dodge) and not enough of those that punish tanky classes likle guards/wars.. as far as i see OP would love to see lees zerker builds running around but did you and maybe devs ever wonder that some classes just don’t have any other (viable) choices?
ill and chill on dredge map was really annoying …..
