Not sure why it should be nerfed? It has a pretty long cooldown. If people had their way we’d all be hitting for 3 damage a hit with every attack and all encounters would take 5 hours.

Your “100%” crit you’re talking about is based around several conditions that must be met. The enemy needs to be at 25 stacks of vulnerability AND you need to be in reaper shroud. Two things that will not be happening at the same time 100% of the time or even 100% in general.

Slowing down a meta speedrun even a little bit when you know the intention of the group instead of just making your own anybody welcome group is spiteful, trolling, griefing, and I would even go as far as to say LFG abuse.

You think they don’t notice because they’re too polite to complain. But you always notice when your times are off, even if its just a few seconds.

Now, with all of that aside. If you hate Zerker meta so bad why do you want to ride on the coattails of their dungeon runs? Join an anybody welcome LFG and have fun just playing the game. Since that is apparently your goal right? No, you have to ride the coattails of the zerker metas speedruns because even you don’t want to spend 40 minutes doing the same dungeons over and over.

What slows groups down more, me in non zerker gear or bad meta pugs thinking they are doing it right because DNT told them to wiping because they are bad. A lot of my meta only runs I end up carrying them because I’m a better player than a lot of them. And that’s the kittening point, skill > gear in a situation where you don’t know your group and how skilled they are. In premades and guild groups you bet your kitten I’m in meta gear because then it matters. It means jack kitten when bad players think they’re good because they are in “optimal” gear. So no, it’s not trolling or griefing, it’s saving my own time in the event my group sucks.

Of course some of them will be bad. They’re either new or learning. Using kittenty gear as a crutch isn’t how you get better. Once upon a time I sucked at this game. I wore zerker gear since day one. People laughed at me and told me to put on defensive stats. No, that is pointless. I learned to dodge, I learned to time my blocks, I learned to use reflects when needed, I learned how to use all of the games active damage mitigation. You’ll never learn to do those things when you’re in so much useless defensive gear that you don’t need to do those things. You’ll never become a good player, just a hindrance.

In the last 2 months alone there has been zero day exploits enabling remote code execution and privilege escalation for OSX, Windows, and Android. That means if you visit a site that either:

• Chooses to display malicious code
• Got hacked and is displaying malicious code

  You could get popped. With no action on your part: no visible downloading, no clicking anything, just simply viewing the web page with any browser, even one that is fully up to date.

Its great that you are careful not to get phished. It’s great that you always check to see if you have an HTTPS connection to every site that you are logging into, and that the “l” in the url bar isnt a 1 or the .com isnt a .something else. It’s great that you use the “remember my password” checkbox (mine doesnt seem to work). It’s great that you never download something from CNET or download.com or whatever that might contain piggy back installations.Those are all good practices that go a long way, but …they hardly mean much.

The front pages of CNN, NBC, FoxNews, and Yahoo have all hosted 0day drive by download type malware within the past 2 years. Thousands of people with up to date browsers and antivirus got infected each time, without clicking a thing. And those are just a few popular websites people care about. There is no way to completely avoid exposure to this stuff short of not being on the internet. And good malware is patched and recrypted regularly so the people who are infected might never detect that infection even with up to date anti virus (they better pray they have a suite with good heuristics because you can not rely on signatures alone).

Accounts get farmed with phishing emails and malware that can harvest credentials when you log into this very website, or to your game. The remediation process takes time and money away from development. I don’t want to give them my phone number either (dont we already have “this isnt your normal IP” verification by email?) but dont come on the forums and act like you are immune to a computer intrusion because you “aint stupid” and don’t need a fallback plan.

No, That is not the case at all, what happens is you have to press the button to ignore the reminder and then hit play. Then next time you load your game do the same thing, rinse repeat forever.

What is wrong with setting up the non phone option? Not only is your account more secure but you won’t get those reminders also.

Gold sellers hacking of accounts cost the game big bucks. People get hacked then they contact support and support has to spend the time to help them get their account back then restore the account If it’s the first time they got hacked, and some people get hacked several times. All that costs ANet money to pay those support people and of course they want to reduce both player aggravation and their costs so they are making everyone secure their account.

Just use the other non phone number system they have and the SMS reminder will stop.

No, gold sellers don’t have anything, stupid people give out their passwords. I’m not a stupid person. I can especially read the giant “Hey, this isn’t from anet” at the bottom of the emails. I don’t need my account secured by bullkitten authenticators and I don’t need to be harassed by anet to use them because they have so many stupid players that they have to assume everybody is stupid.

Almost every day for a while there was a post on reddit or these forums with people like “I got a mail from a GM saying so and so, is this for real?” And in the very same image they linked there was a message at the bottom in big bold letters saying that the mail was not from anet.

Harassing people who don’t fall for that stupidity because of the people that do is not good business.

I don’t know, but it would be nice if they would stop harassing me to set up the SMS authenticator every time I try to load the game.

I don’t see how that is what this is? This is a legitimate complaint against a game-mode that is stale and boring after being mostly untouched for 3 years.

At least the Mini and the Finisher are account unlocks. The 2nd birthday was a huge disappointment. Oh… a gun that gives a decent alt leveling buff? Sweet! I’ll just transfer it to my alt… oh its soulbound… How… useful…

please folks stop trying to get the very few old rare heirloom items made commonplace.
there isn’t much of value in this game, legendaries are all over the place, go to lions arch you’ll see 20 people with Twilight.
the Tribal set is one of the few things that i’m happy i have because of its scarcity.
you folks just want everything to be worthless and commonpool.

I’ve been bored with open world content for a while. Its all easy because it has to be balanced for casuals and players who just don’t care. I understand why it has to be balanced for those types but it doesn’t make it any more fun.
