Interesting. Having no nipples implies a lack of mammaries, which indicates a reptilian, amphibian, or avian nature to the species. Given the big eyes, sharp teeth, and claws that visually appear adapted for climbing on their hands and toes, I would guess probably reptilian egg-layers. Progeny appear to be communally raised, though not in the same manner as the Charr, so strong family bonds are forsaken for stronger communal, and later krewe relationships.

Blast, this derails the talk about Asura-Skritt hybrids that we’ve been talking about in another thread unless we start really hybridizing the genetic material.

Indeed. I explained about twenty posts up how the Asura already do control everything, and yet it goes ignored. Bookah don’t see what they don’t want to see. They dismiss out of hand anything that doesn’t fit their limited world view. I see similar interactions with the Council and the Inquest. Myopic control-types with minimal cranial capacities. It’s all very sad… for them.

They already do, but they don’t make a big deal out of it. They just quietly keep everything going and allow other races to think that they have a say in how things work. Have you ever tried to manipulate a gate keeper into letting you use waypoints for free? Yeah, you know they know they’re in charge. The Asura run the world, and they’re generous enough to let us live in it.

The Asura are obviously the most powerful, as Asuran ingenuity helped destroy one Elder Dragon already. One need look no further than that to realize that if the Elder Dragons are stronger than Gods, and Gods are, by far, stronger than Champions, then the Asura are the strongest.

You honestly need to finish the Charr Personal Story before making a thread like this. MASSIVE SPOILER:All Charr leave their warband when they join their Order, and then they even leave that to become second in command of the Pact.

I’ve noticed that most people don’t appear to wear headgear in cutscenes anymore. My head pieces have been removed form my characters for a while, both my Asuran Elementalist and my Charr Engineer, my Norn Ranger, and even my Human Thief don’t have their head pieces, and that’s what I picked to be their special pieces of armor (I hate the hobopack on the Engineer, so the rest kind of followed suit when possible).

Did you forget about the pit in the bowels of the Black Citadel? That’s where dueling will be popular… and appropriate.

I determined that the honosack looked godawful in CG and selected the headgear instead. Very nice, replicated by several similar head pieces, and very easy to transmute. No hobosack issues here.

It was nice to see the Charr admitting that it was their pride that was making them unwilling to back down, and not some military objective. The humans were willing to see that they, too, were being prideful, which just prolonged the conflict. Once their prides could be removed from the equation, they saw they really didn’t have anything left to fight about, and a better enemy nearby to focus their collective attentions on. I think that Ebonhawke is going to end up being one of the Black Citadel’s strongest allies.

Flame Legion is the correct term, and no, Charr is not Charr. While our current specimen is a fascinating example of the the more brutish and less interesting variant among their kind, I have encountered Charr who are smart enough to assist my krewe with our research, and even actively participate in new avenues of experimentation. He is rather pleasant. And not terribly loud. Plus, I do like the way he has no problem being a meat shield. Something about Iron doesn’t bleed. They’re so cute when they’re being prideful.

I know what you mean. Get enough of them together, but not too many, and they make decent lab assistants. I don’t know what my Krewe would do without all the extra paws… err… hands.

It amazes me how much Charr yell. With four ears, they shouldn’t have to be so loud.

The horns mystify me. They must be for butting their heads against brick walls, because they keep reaching so many dead ends.

There is a larger problem here that everyone typically ignores, including ANet: Why are we using GW2LFG.com? Why are we going to an external non-ANet, non-NCSoft site to find groups for the dungeons instead of using an interface built into the game?

Someone is missing out on something here, and it’s all on the dev’s side. This whole concept of using an external site screams that someone is asleep at the wheel. There’s demand for an LFG tool in-game, so why would anyone say that we’ll never get one. There’s a demand, they know there’s a demand, and yet they won’t fill it? “Oh, no. Someone else is already doing our jobs better. Why would we ever care?”

Dropping the ball here, ANet.

Someone suggested that a FT build should use Knight instead of Berserker. Less squishy and all the juicy Deeps. Just a thought. I’m still looking at Celestial, but I’m not sure the lower values play, even though the balance is nice and survivability is there.

The asura, in their infinite ingenuity, would have easily devised a way to hold on to their homeland if Anet hadn’t mucked things up. The blame is squarely on Anet’s shoulders.

Someone never played EotN. The Asura were squarely getting their butts kicked by Primordius and his Destroyers. They were not going to find a way to survive until they encountered the bookah and used them as meat shields while they forged new weapons to go against the Destroyers. True. I did mean Flamethrower. Nothing says Engineer to me like a big cat with a flaming weapon. Since I don’t use Swords, I’ll happily mow down targets with a burning stream of flaming death.

My Ele runs in Earth most of the time. Toughness, bleed, and an elemental that’s hard to take down quickly add to survivability in large fights. S/D is awesome, though I depend more on the /D part to hit Churning Earth for the real take downs for groups. I was able to solo a Champion last night in Kessex (forgot which one, but he took about four minutes to down and I had to kite him around like mad. Used Greater Elemental twice…) He’s still leveling, so his build is in flux, but I’m running 10 Air, 10 Earth and 17 Arcane right now. I don’t recall my traits off the top of my bald little Asuran head. Also, Slots are Healing Glyph, Radiation Field, Fire Signet, Earth Signet and Greater Elemental Glyph. I believe I have the Glyph CDR trait.

Anyway, that’s my 2 coppers. Hope you figure out your problems.

I felt really good doing the hearts in Ebonhawke as a Charr. I’m a natural peacemaker (despite evidence to the contrary sometimes) so bringing together the Charr and Humans makes me feel good. Kinda like resolving the fighting between Rhytlock and Logan. The whole zone was really well done. It finally brought into focus who the “Separatist” thing that was bothering me until I got there.

OmniWrench Kit:

1: Whack: Hits target in melee with Engineer. High Damage. 10% chance to inflict target with Confusion for 3 seconds. Can be set to Auto-Attack.
2: Throw Wrench: Launches Wrench into a arc in front of the Engineer, striking all targets in a cone before returning to the Engineer. Attack is blockable, but if not blocked, will Knockback the target and Daze for 2 seconds. 15 second cooldown.
3: Rocket Wrench: Rockets deploy from the head of the wrench, launching the Engineer forward into a ramming attack that inflicts Knockdown on targets in his path. Ground targeted. Can carry Engineer over gaps. 20 second cooldown.
4: Random Deployment: A random unlocked Turret is dropped at the feet of the Engineer. 30 second cooldown. Turret drop does not trigger any slotted turrets.

In most cases you do know that your are living near a volcano, but people didn’t knew about that they live near EDs at all. Nor that they exist.

Not exactly true. People gravitate towards places of power. EDs eat magic, and are, therefore, living places of power. Without understanding why, the races have been attracted to the EDs because of the magic that they radiate. It’s a natural flaw in the plans of the Gods, and probably why they slunk off before someone smart figured it out and pulled a Charr (“We don’t need Gods, let’s kill them off!”).
