Yes blinds, group stealth, pulls, swiftness…all helpful in a group situation.

I have eight 80s, and while children spout hate I have never played an ‘unfun’ class. Some classes play or feel better than others, but I have never said this class is unplayable.

I main warrior and alt thief mostly. Nothing will change.

Thieves are just fine population-wise, but let’s see how many stick through this. There better be a balance patch with HoT.

The high need of mobility, limited condition removal, and low base health make thief a challenging package. Just because thieves have a high skill bar, does not mean they don’t shred when played properly. Some of the most difficult encounters I have ever faced have come from a thief.

Not everyone should play every class.

BTW, you shouldn’t play anything because its ‘meta’. Play it because you enjoy it.

Double heaters still works, just not against a zerg. Which you shouldn’t be fighting unless you’re in one yourself. They will improve with Daredevil just to what extent, nobody knows.

I main as a warrior, but have over 500 hours on my thief.

Think about it, why wouldn’t you hate a thief? You play them in wvw, you can’t see them until they crit you, then if you have superior numbers they stealth and hit the trails. Some people die without us ever being seen.

It’s just an easy class to hate, but I think by the time HoT drops, Mesmers will be hated much more.

If we were all going to play what is ideal in the open world, then we would all delete and make GS Mesmers, which isn’t that far from the truth, because I have run into whole guilds playing them.

I play double heaters now, I’ll play them later. Still miss Rico but I will live…just for a shorter period of time now.

Retal works against any class, and yes use #5 until retal disappears.
Pistols will shine once Daredevil drops. Remember you don’t have to go staff. All that endurance and the evades blend nicely with double heaters. Throw in the skill Distracting Daggers which will make the 3 skill a monster and it is more than viable.

Cars?

Buy Forza dude.

They will not have a class strictly dedicated to heals. Druid will have CCs, and nature-related condis for utilities as well.

I thought they did remove HoM because of hackers. I thought (for months now) that none of us can get in there, or is that just on the GW1 side?

Low risk high reward is how 98% of the game’s population wants to roll.

Is there any good death? Conditions or power, stealth or crit bombs, who cares? Play the way you want to play, not play a style because others do.

Ranger gets forgotten most times because the class is the training wheels of the professions. Easiest class to pick up and kill things with, and I think by now its safe to assume that Anet has no idea how to fix pet AI, so how do you make them better?

Conditions were brought to the forefront to give players a chance to run something else other than straight zerk. They are going nowhere, and to anyone that says burns are too strong…have you ever been on fire?

How about you stay where you are and make your own server stronger?

Just don’t try it in RL and you’ll be fine.

No matter the size, there is NO way they can go another three years with another expansion. Every year from here on out or the castle will start to crumble.

There are those of us, that don’t even believe this to be a true expac. I want a new race, I want to travel to Cantha, I want two-hand axes, and I want transmutation charges to go the kitten away.

Until I am playing as a Mursaat Dervish on Canthan soil changing the look of my gear as much as I wish, I won’t be content.

They will never redesign their game from the ground up. I applaud your attention to detail, but don’t look too deep into ‘roles’. 90% of the time it will be stacking might and burning something down. Roles will be runners who give swiftness and/or stealth, stripping defiance off a boss, or cleansing condis. Things that are somewhat helpful or situational now, but will become a must in the raids.

The theory behind berserker is lighting multiple cats on fire. But it feels like the design team fell short of the possible fun the spec could bring us.

Easiest build to pvp with is LB ranger lol.

Does it have a maximum cap on damage it can block?

I am in the minority that while cele ele is at the top of the classes right now, you still need a bit of skill and moxie to pull them off properly. Any warrior worth his salt should still take down the masses of peeps misplaying d/d ele.

Back on topic, I run defiant stance and never worry about the minimal cast time, though another couple of seconds would make it a dream.

For Rifle Only, because the F2 is nuclear.

I use it in pve only. I am mainly sword/mace, so Blademaster suits me just fine. It could use a bump but so many other things deserve their attention first.

Anything I have to feed any mats I will be against. Aside from that, I want everything to be brand spanking new. Anet does enough rehashing.

Until they kill Logan & Trahearne not really sure what they pump out for story. All of this fluff just take us further away from where we should be going.
