Actually I’ve never had a ranger’s pet PBS an enemy out of my 100 blades.

Poorly timed PBS is the #1 reason rangers are frowned upon.

Purple are you a PvE-only expert? If so, who is the go-to on wvw & pvp? I have played this game from the start and your guides are gospel as far as I’m concerned.

My reasoning was they are plants. Their allegiances mean little to me.

I was anti before, the end of LS2 was just confirmation.

They are plants, I don’t trust plants. That’s why I don’t eat salad.

Either way, LS will always be a content band-aid when they should be working on others things.
Let’s start with a list:

Would you rather see three new dungeons or Caithe break an egg?
Would you prefer there would be more than one raid, or find out if Eir is/isn’t mush?
Watch Scarlet destroy LA(again) or have them add a new PvP map every two months?
Feel grief for Marjory or…nevermind, you get the point.

While fun, I still think LS is just a tonic that we drink up while more important parts of the game get delayed.

Well I think they have sat on a lot of details, because they’re trying to keep excitement ramped up. As is, the only class still chomping at the bit for the expac is Ranger because they kept it under wraps.
Once the curtain is pulled a percentage of the people, no matter how good the performance will shrug their shoulders and move to the next show.

Everyone is getting on that pharmaceutical company CEO for jacking up the price of that drug, but ArenaNet is effectively doing the same thing (arbitrarily adding a price onto content that was previously free) and gets lauded.
I preferred the free content every few weeks versus the antique model of expensive content every 1-2 years and cannot conceive of a legitimate reason why anyone would prefer the latter.

We are not lauding them, just using common sense. A video game on any system currently sells for $60. They are asking market value.

Some of us did not prefer LS, because now looking back all LS did was delay HoT a year or two.

My biggest concern is that launch is 4 weeks away and other than Raids (which I have no interest in), they’ve not yet given a single reason to actually buy this expansion at these price points since everything else in it is stuff that they have been giving us for free for the last 3 years.

Then do not buy. I find it amazing that people scoff at $60. That is four movies, four movies lasts 8 hours. Even at its absolute worst this expac will get you 50+ hours of gameplay.

Bump pistol damage. Raise our health pool from the cellar. Add a second on basilisk.

I am going double pistols and shortbow. Eles can keep the staff.

Wait, why does anyone need a 100g to WvW?

make Defiant Stance the obvious choice for our heals? From a WvW outlook when damage (esp condis) is flying freely, it works amazingly well. But what about dungeons/PvP? Still good, but not strong enough to lose CI?

Walk into WvW with 1 million toughness and no condi removal and a mesmer and necro will have you on the turf in under ten seconds.

Blind immunity? We have a signet that washes twelve conditions away.

This is the FIRST I’ve heard about us being OP, actually the second…(Rampage).

Warrior is solid, but could be better, just like many other classes.

We always run 2 Wars, play with friends not strangers, then party composition is irrelevant.

Popular is most played, and I am pretty sure it’s still Warrior.
(At the end of year 1 it was at least.)

I agree with Thaddeus that Ele is the ‘best’, although Mesmer is close, but almost everyone I know has at least one Warrior.

My only gripe isn’t with the beta, it’s in the presentation. They are trying to sell 4 zones as 12 and that pig doesn’t fly. The zones better be Russia-sized, because if this expac doesn’t get us to the ocean then we can rule out Cantha/Elona until 2020.

But on topic, our feedback has been heard and in a lot of cases utilized. The first BWE the Rev was an absolute cream puff and now everyone wants one.

Druid is a classic RPG archetype, Dragonhunter however is poor at best.

I mean every class is a ‘dragonhunter’.

At this point its unrealistic to expect a 4th beta.

Thief has the lowest health is the game. It is designed to hide and spike, if first salvo doesn’t kill the enemy, they are usually in trouble, if both parties are equally skilled.

I hate stealth as a mechanic, but not thief as a user of it.

I am from ET, the lowest populated server in NA. And I think this logic is flawed.

Earn what you seek, the fruit will be that much sweeter. My server never wins, ever. But when we do, and we will. It will taste fantastic.

Some of these is a matter of opinion. Tactics is rock solid for instance in PvE or any group content. PS is amazing so is VS, and EA. So if running solo they are meh, but how often are we solo?

For me the range on Skullcrack is terrible compared to the other bursts. Simple fixes is all we’re gonna get at this point. We can’t shoot the moon this close to HoT.

Agreed. Might stacking is useless if there is 75 red circles on the ground.

I think from the outside looking in, PU mesmers are disliked at first sight now. I have never said great we’ve got a Ranger when queing. Afterwards maybe, but never before. Right now mesmer is the most overplayed class, and therefore there are a lot of cats that play it wrong. And actually when I am on Warrior and a Ranger uses PBS just before I drop 100 blades or Sword 3 it does make my soul rip just a little.

Often when running my Warrior(Ham/Axe&Mace), I come across Rangers that have ZERO problems with survivability. What I don’t understand is the almost permanent stability. Signet of Stone gives what 3 seconds, where is the other stability coming from? Is it being transferred to the pet?

This isn’t whining, I play Ranger as well. This is constructive curiosity.

I think all of the elite specs might be poo, except Chrono. Because mesmers needed help right?

Agreed, other than just adding tons of health to the enemies, this is one of the few alternatives that make a fight more fun. Adding defiance doesn’t always accomplish that as Mai Trin can be a bear sometimes.

Welcome to pvp. The amusement park for eles. But serious, if they are cele ele running daggers, most classes will have a problem. I think their counter is a burn guardian.

Once you an 80 in each profession, it’s time to lay off the bottle. No need to make a 9th until the Rev drops, and we will be able to insta-level those, so no problem.

Not sure they can still measure how old the character is. Fill out a report with anet stating you made a character when the game dropped and you should get a response.

You might need the old character’s name and some other info to help them process faster.

Stay ele, make a pair of ascended daggers to go with your staff. Eles are great in all game modes.

But then everyone’s idea.of a fun class is different. I didn’t really like the ele, Mesmer. And thief is a cowards class.

That’s a bit strong against Thieves no? I main a Warrior, and I have all 8 classes at 80. Toughest grind for me was Mesmer.

Ask yourself do you want to range or melee? Tanky or dodgy? After answering a few questions, a class you might like will take shape.

Make your own server better.

It should double in price.
I am on ET and DR and FC always outnumber us, hence making us the lowest populated server…by far.

How about we stay where we are?

Is LB3 a fire field or just a blast finisher?
