I just want to point out to those people assuming way too much about others lives, it is quite possible that people who suffer from physical or mental disabilities play these kinds of games a lot. Therefore you just sound ridiculous telling others how to live their lives. Not everyone is able to go do the things you can. And hey if you play at all you have no reason to make anyone feel bad for also playing. Cause that’s just being a hypocrite.

For myself I think I’m around 2.5k hrs most of that before the NPE and trait changes.

It’s true. I know a married couple in Guild Wars 1 where the wife has lots of medical conditions and is wheelchair bound, and therefore stays at home most of the time and spends her time playing and socializing in that game.

They’re constantly running and jumping, and spamming effects, even in a small area, or when running somewhere, they’re constantly jumping along the way. It doesn’t hurt my gameplay in any way, shape, or form, but I always think to myself “WTF are they doing?”

I am rarely still unless I am in a city or a known safe space (like a fort that does not have an event spawn in it). Why? Because you never know when enemies will attack you and if it is from behind you will probably have 0 warning.

Try standing still in the silverwastes out in the open. For added points, leave your computer for a few minutes and go for a walk. You will see what I mean pretty quickly.

I should have clarified that I see that strange behavior in the cities where nothing will hurt you.

I think it would be nice if the old fountain from Guild Wars 1 will be brought up from the bottom and placed as a monument somewhere in the new city. Probably won’t happen, but one can hope.

What the kitten did you just kittening say about me, you little bookah? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in Inventory Management at the Silverwastes University, and I’ve been involved in numerous dungeon runs, and I have over 300 confirmed opened bandit chests.

That made me chuckle.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to de-activate minions. There are times after fighting when I DON’T want them following me around and there isn’t deep water nearby.

Is there a way to de-activate them that I don’t know about?

As someone who has been playing this game for two months, I was so busy exploring and doing things, I barely even noticed the leveling.

Op must have been playing a different game.

It sounds peaceful and yet hopeful. I like it.

My download was around 600-ish mb, I didn’t see the exact number as the download completed.

However, I am glad I saw this thread as now the update is complete so I can spend my lunch break playing instead of downloading.

10 years later, I still hate the Charr for what they did to Ascalon.
