How hard would it be to create an executable application, that would allow you to play offline. So you have access to the game but this second executable would allow for single player mode only within the game.

Before you throw down your nerdrage hammers people, let me explain why.

If you are in a queue of, 12-30 thousand, you are going to potentially wait for days if not weeks. In this time, if its a blocked and not banned/suspended account you could be playing your offline character. The game is doable as a 1-80 storyline questline kind of game, and within this, you are entertained, I would bet also, people would be much more patient, because they could in this time, be playing a different toon, maybe one they will want to create with their online account once it’s back.

Think about it, I am sure its not too difficult to have the game ping the persons own network like the game pings your servers.

You make it sound like something so simple, but it is absurdly complex. You would have to change the hard-coded areas of the game and bring a lot of server-side content to the client. And don’t get me started on the potential for abuse, as everything client-side ends up getting exploited sooner or later. It just can’t happen.

Need more town clothes, and not only noble-esque ones, but also more common and cheap ones. NPCs have a lot of variety on this, can’t we get access to the same clothes? It’s a bit weird that my human is a street rat who dresses exquisitely.

And please make them fit the game’s setting. No jeans please.

I personally undertook crafting because it’s fun, I wanted to make gear I could use myself, and for the experience.

You can’t sell legendary craftable ingredients.

The real issue with the economy is that primary goods are anomalously more expensive than secondary goods. Which leads gear to be sold at floor price.

All of that because people are using crafting for exp, and not for getting new items.

It’s a money sink and further values the gem buyer’s money. I see no issue here. Gem prices are ridiculously accessible, and they have actually dropped from headstart.

It also gives ArenaNet an advantage over gold sellers.

I think they should remove exp gains from crafting altogether. Yes, not a popular move, but it would end this whole circus at once.

The worst thing is that the nerf on cooking affected leatherworking and tailoring more than anything else.

Generally it’s just not worth it. I think people are crafting merely for the exp of it. Materials are quite valuable right now, so yes, you’ll probably get more gold by not crafting at all. Not sure if it’s how Arenanet intended crafting to be like, but it’s how it turned out to be.

Get vit/tough amulets/equipments. You can’t really expect to be very survivable with a glass-cannon equipment build.

Well, I’m a bit sad about this. I rather liked getting random mats from karma vendors to throw them together to get a new cooking recipe. Oh well.

Support is pretty busy right now. You’ll probably have better luck with Amazon.

my question is, if you get unauthourized attempt does it mean they have your password? or are they trying to brute force it. to me an attempt does not mean “hey someone is logging in as you” it means “hey someone is TRYING to log in as you.” I let the attempts go for a couple of day and they havent taken anything off my characters or otherwise altered my account. but now after reading the forums i have now changed my password and email just in case.

Brute forcing seems impossible. It would have to load login servers to the extreme in order to get any productive results. None of it would go unnoticed, as it’d be essentially a denial of service attack. Everyone would notice that. And given the amount of accounts being hacked, it seems impossible. Repeated passwords/e-mails from hacker lists seems to be the cause. Give such lists to a bunch of bad-intended people with a lot of time in their hands and they’ll be able to snatch quite a few accounts. Fortunately the auth system is getting on their way.

It would seem that most accounts here are being hacked from repeated passwords instead of malware intercepting data from computers, so for such cases an antivirus would be no guarantee of not being hacked. Unfortunately this seems to be a new pattern with recently-launched popular games. I guess that we should all learn from this and use diverse passwords in the future.

Odds are that your accounts have been breached and banned either for your own safety or for gold seller propaganda in-game. Unfortunately there isn’t much to do other than waiting for a response. Support normally does prioritize such situations, so I don’t know why it’s taking you so long.

It is actually a necessary limitation to prevent hackers and gold sellers from transferring goods to other accounts. If you play legitimately, the warnings will vanish for the mail sent to you in time, as will your friend’s as he advances in the game. I am unsure of how exactly this works, but I suppose it is a matter of how much progress in the game your characters have achieved, and not necessarily a period of time to pass after account creation.

I agree. This is a necessary step to improve our community. This game imported a lot of players from games which allowed their communities to become cesspools of bad behavior without punishment. People have to become adequated to the new rules.

Except you’re killing imaginary things that behave artificially as dictated by computer software. When you talk in-game, you’re dealing with real people. And really, what you do in the game is no excuse of how you behave in the community, that excuse is plain ludicrous.

Sorry, but you’re seeing issues where there are none. There is no gameplay difference between deluxe and standard.

The reward for Gort’s Pit in Kessex Hills is also unresponsive. The chest is there once Gort removes the rocks on the path after the Ettins are defeated, but you can’t even interact with it at all. Not as big of a ride there, but still an issue. I reported with /bug in game already, but I suppose it doesn’t hurt to post it here as well.

Maybe that’s why it’s so impossible to kill anyone when they’re drowning. :S I really would like to see an option to finish players in this state. It’s like a full second HP bar to deal with.

Have you even tried playing on anything but high settings?

It’s simply because we’ve all seen the Reddit thread with people who claimed to never having said anything and in the end were exposed by Arenanet as having used the most atrocious vocabulary in the game. Everyone claims to be free of guilt.

What does the message say exactly? The message on login usually tells the reason. There is no point on discussing this if such information is not provided.

It’s probably something terribad if it’s a 14day suspension. That or you had been suspended previously.

I received spam about the same website from “Sdfkterer”. I sent a support ticket under “Violation Report” because there is nothing in the game to report mail.

Send a support ticket, although I hardly think you’ll get a refund at this point.

Doesn’t seem like a big deal. Are you able to farm absurd amounts of karma/experience, generate gold/items in big amounts out of nowhere, or do anything equally absurd? No? Then you’re most likely good to go. Just chill.

And next time, if you do find an exploit, report is at exploits@arena.net as spreading information about how to abuse an exploit is aginst the ToS. And again, relax, this is no big deal.

Just because it’s a necromancer, it doesn’t have to be a minion-master. That’s narrow-minded. And the minion design is almost the same as GW, so I have no idea of what you’re going on about.

In my opinion, the handling of the CE items is terrible.

Those of us who got it, paid $150 for the CE. The figurine is very nice, however, the in game items are also part of the draw to it.

I’m totally ok with the chalice and the book being one shot items. However, the CE pet, the banker and those one shotters, need to be ACCOUNT WIDE ON ALL TOONS, not just the first one made. Also, the banker needs to be a permanent item, not disappearing after 4 days.

This is totally bogus. I don’t ever recall seeing anywhere where these aren’t account wide permanent things (banker), I would not have paid the amount of money for the CE had I known that.

Please change this, make them account wide, also do not have them removed, they should be permanent, except those two items that are used. those can stay as is, just make available to all toons.

Absolutely terrible presentation and handling of CE items.

I get a new golem banker whenever I create a new character.

And if it is like last time they’ll deliver what you bought/sold, so there is no need to worry.

This is an issue with the skill vengeance. I suggest waiting a few seconds before spawning if you died with it active.

I noticed it too. I was going to report a player and was unable to.

There is something odd going on with queues, because apparently some people can cut the line. Either that or others are constantly sent back to the beginning of it.

The jagged summon trait was really something before it became nerfed. But I suppose that it was a bit out of balance to have 5 of them causing bleeding with every attack on a build that doesn’t even specialize on minion mastery.

Oh, it just wasn’t clear. I suppose you mean Sylvari. It might be an issue with the race’s individual quest difficulty scaling, I suppose.

I have never received a rare material from salvaging that I can remember either. And I’ve salvaged a LOT.

What materials do you seek in particular? You should be able to obtain them just fine from nodes.
