Extreme farming in Orr is a way. I am quite sure a lot of people made insane amounts of gold through the chili pepper popper exploit. Some are also known to have been extremely lucky with the market.

Bring back signet of capture please. It was an interesting mechanic. I find the current skill system quite pointless, everyone gets to have all skills anyway, and in the end skill points are useful for mystic forge items and not getting skills. At least with skill capturing we get an adventure to earn certain skills. And I am all for having many more skills than the meager amount currently available.

About that I can agree, but they chose to make it a small selection of skills so that the game would be simpler.

^No one should be using that term outside of hardcore PvP games either way, it’s just silly to do so.

1-You dont farm anything in pvp beside looking good in pvp and you cant gank anyone in pvp because he well be having an army behind him in world vs world or if it was in a normal battle ground then it is Impossible to beat tow players in this game due burst damage, unless its tow people without keyboards or if they both are low hp.

Welcome to gear-balanced PvP. You don’t get players killing armies just because of gear. And yes, PvP is not supposed to be a grindfest. Problems with that? Also, TWO.

All game enjoyment issues are developer issues. When we buy a steak/cheeseburger/pair of underwear (e.g. luxury item) no sane person blames themselves if the result isn’t enjoyable. No one buys these things HOPING they’ll be enjoyable. They always, always buy them BELIEVING they’ll be enjoyable based on marketing.

Marketing strategies usually have a set target audience. When someone who isn’t part of the target audience buys the product, it is pretty pointless to complain that it is not what they wanted.

The man is infamous for having a very specific personal taste for free-for-all, sandbox MMOs and being very negative about any MMO that isn’t either EVE or Darkfall – in his view, if a game doesn’t pander to his personal taste in games then it’s a bad game.

Given that Syncaine’s preferred style of game has actually been tried a number of times, and all of the attempts have either closed down (Shadowbane) or taken years to claw their way up to the status niche game (EVE, Darkfall) I would have to class the man as the standard bearer of the “forward to the glorious past” brigade.

Oh, and tip for the OP – the “many of my friends are quitting too” line is tired and over-used. Nobody believes that the kind of attention seeker who posts “the game sucks lol” threads actually HAS many friends.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone can like Darkfall. Sure, the general idea is terrific, but then, the grind is most ridiculous from what I remember, making the game simply unplayable.

And I’m not gonna waste my time doing the same DE’s over and over for gold that you get in a week. and that means in like what? Three days of doing this farming thing, you could finally get the tier 3. When, if they lowered the price, could be a lot less time trying to get all that gold.

They could also sell legendaries for 1g each. It would be a lot less time too.

Chat, locate on map, share map markers and general organization. There is little point not to do it if you intend to play with other people.

I think that the real issue is that not everyone is infracted for the things some people are singled out for, so we get an idea that certain behaviors are acceptable. For example, I was infracted for posting a video of teleporting botters. A lot of people post videos accusing others here and suffer no infractions.

The hit would be mild? Sorry, but I don’t think so, we won’t have an absurd influx of new players forever to keep demand reasonable. It would very much ruin the purpose of having a dye market. Most dyes are ridiculously cheap either way, we don’t need account-bound ones.

By the time you are 80, you should already have enough karma for a single temple exotic armor piece.

No, but me, and a lot of other people will just stop playing, leaving you with a lower population, and leaving you with a feeling of loneliness.

I won’t be lonely, you can be sure of that. I appreciate the concern though. I suppose we could use some shorter WvW queues.

I don’t think that the cap can be increased for balance reasons. Mobs aren’t programmed to deal with 50 stacks of bleed.

There is still a Guildwars and if you did a quick search on it, HEEY! trial accounts
Now how did that happen and work out?

Simple game’s max level is 20, trial accounts only get to be level 10, can they leave pre searing? YES.
Can leave post searing ascalon, no.

The game stops at a key point of Ascalon as a cliff hanger so people might wanna go buy the rest of the set and see whats it like.

And if you think the current base of 2 million is a big number, think again, thats tiny.
That’s not eve the amount of sheeps there are in New Zealand.

Well, we don’t have such restrictive zones here, and people start the game right next to a major popular city of their choice.

So much water? Where? Straits of Devastation is the only map that comes to mind, and you can totally swim that. There isn’t much water in WvW at all.

While yes, it would be entertaining, I don’t think the current maps support it.

I don’t think it is necessary. Roleplayers do fine in TC.

^Two factor authentication is good because it prevents hacking in the situation of a keylogger. But it is not extremely necessary if you follow the other tips. It’s a good article in my opinion.
