How do you cnd stealthed foes? Use (hold) right click whike pamming the camera, aiming at your target while using cnd…you can easily do a 180 spin and land cnd from face to back

Weirsd. Never would of thought that auto target would do that. I have the target option on, forgot it’s name now but for example if I use rush on and in selected target then target mid rush, the skill would change direction to that target but I doubt that will do anything to melee hit’s.
And no cnd worked normally for me as I use it vs clones/pets.

people fail to understand that wvw and pvp are totaly different, everyweapon set is easier in wvw because there is nothing to slow them down as in point capture, rotations and it is all open meaning they have all of the space then can ever want, and more too. d/p is not easy when you are fighting a competent person, if you are not 3 steps ahead of them its pretty hard to deal any real pressure and you become pressured. i mean yeah you could run off but what will that accomplish? In pvp where everything is toned down the dmg from thief is nothing compared to that in wvw wich makes it a lot harder to pull it off, i but i do stand by what i said that Impacting Disruption and bounding dodge make this set so much easier to play.
anet has to be very careful with nerfing/buffing they have already made s/d a lot better then it was before (not before june23) but then they also nerfed, or fixed IS

ok, may be i wasn’t clear enough. as you can see i am at cybol right now, all she gives me is the complete journals books vol 1.
edit, now the whole quest is bugged. after letting the event reset by letting cybols hounds be captured, me and that the npc, nia is it? anyway – went to rescue them and when we got to cymbols entrance nia waved and went back to where the hounds were rescured from zzz

its not just that its the easiest to play. the weapon set it self is has everything to a point of being ‘perfect’ which no other set can do and things like Impacting Disruption and bounding dodge just puts more icing on the cake.

Your linkings and our current has has no comparasment at all. Maybe our last link up we had a good server but the first link ups were nowhere near as bad as you say.
Unfortunately the ppt hero’s will always go for the easy stuff, and it’s most likely that it was eb where they spawn camped you too. Our first reset vs ag/dl we had 4 ag/rof guilds all at once in our garri (apline map) for about an hour and the response we got from 1 guild was that “they were bored” 4 guilds against 20 or so defenders, I don’t recall GH doing anything like that.

Skills #2 and #5 both evade underwater and both are hungry with inative, may be 3 shadow assults and it’s over. TheRe is no way in hell 15 could not kill a thief underwater, I think what you’re saying is a load of rubbish.

So under what category are back items actually under? they can be crafted from armour-smith/leather/tailor… they also break of become damaged upon defeat, but they can not be used in the Mystic forge to change stats like you can with other armour sets (armour piece, 5 ectos, insignia and that thing from the npc)
i would like to change the stats of my ascended back item but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do so, unlike armour and weapons.

As far as I’m aware, thives (assassins) are meant to get in, stab, stab, stab, kill and get out again…I can’t imagine them using ranged weapons to kill effectively (may be a rifle but then it would the awp 1 shot kills like from CS)

It’s only for a few seconds but if you wanted to get away, that’s plenty of time to repostion your self, it’s also a blind which helps a great deal not to mention the blast.
Dp is only mobile at chasing, not kiting, any thief build has as much mobilty as d/p…that is ofc they don’t shadow shot on ambaint creatures.

It sucks but thives should know by now not to even bother with shadow refuge, and I don’t mean because of revealed I mean the amount of aoe/cc since hot. Blinding powder is much better if you want s stealth utility.

I think it’s good as it is. I guess you’re seeking for a change because of d/p where as other sets such as s/x x/d there is always some form of evade so it syncs well with them.

Edit: As an aside, I’m at a loss as to any reasons you could have for being unable/unwilling to download, run, and listen on teamspeak short of your parents blocking VoIP programs on your router or something like that.
Personally I hate TS – usually the people with really annoying voices are talking the most and absolutely random stuff while in the midst of a fight.
I do get why commanders want everybody on TS though.
I like ts, ts gets funny at night weekends when people get drunk/high. Also we both play thief so it isn’t really required for us but when I play front line I will always make an effort to use ts in open raids.

They know what they are doing but you can’t deny that they are also carried more then skill because of the builds they run, and the stats too, I thought 17k health on my thief was a it over bored but when you see druids and scrappers in the 20k mark it just seems a bit silly. I would love to see theres same people run thives/mesmers/eles/reapers as well but its always the same berskers/dh/druid and scrapper mintage. And yeah I agree about the esports comment lol
Thats cause ranger and engineer have higher base health pool,meaning if you sit on 17k hp on thief you have extra i think 400-500 vitality,if a ranger sits on 20k health means he got extra 4k health i think.My full zerker ranger “means every single piece is zerker” with just shout runes is around 18k health.Also you got to account those thingies put into ascended gear,which can mean extra health aswell.
But yeah,he was tankier sort,more heals and those boons,oh boy,non stop protection,average of 15 might without elite,nonstop fury/swiftness even resistance poped few times and that quickness was kitten long.Pretty crazy stuff for a guy spaming aa on staff most of the time

I am fully aware of the base hp, my point is that neither druid/scrapper needed to use any extra vitality stats, at least not going into the 20k mark. Still, it is a shame how some class’s can get stacks of boons by just aa or afking.

If every class should have a trait/skill fo reveal then thief should also get skill/trait to disable enemy passive procs and or invul’s too. Thief already has it hard in wvw, all it can do nowadays is gank and or run away, s/d was thr main dueling weapon and the days where they could put up a decent fight are long gone, sure we can kill somw people or even baddies in out numbered situations but vs compitent players it’s and if said thief dosnt want to run away it’d going to be a very up hill fight. you can’t put say that all needs a reveal just because of this 1 troll build.
I am not defending this build, I don’t play it or never played it but I hAve in countered a lot and all they really do is just troll around and they are far from game breaking wich is why nothing will get changed to it. If anything g blame the Condi application in wvw it self, not the builds.

S/d fights always look much more fluid and faster paced then any other set. Not sure if the food you use is really needed tbh since you have no might duration. I either use the power/vit or power/ferocity.

It’s only used for warrior zergling now. 2/3 hammer warriors spamming berserker f1 is as useful as it gets.

I can say from an s/d main thief I am more worried about vanilla power warriors (in wvw) because a berserker warrior will pop the mode and I can just bugger of and kiye, vanilla warrior plays differently and can catch you out.

People payed for the game they play. They can do what ever they like,even if that means dueling while a q is on the map. Please show me in writing that this is above the game rules. Many of us find its silly for the whole intire map going to wooden empty towers when 1-4 people can do it.
How can people says “they are not sure if it’s a duel or not?” Simple if it’s 1 dude vs another it’s a 1v1, a duel, an even fight…let them get on with it. If you are going to interupt at least let them finish the duel first.

I hate bound with a passion, dodging/evading are meant to deny income dmg, takeig or dealing 3-4k per dodge and as a leap finisher is 1 of the worst gimmicks in the dd daredevil line next to impact disruption. I prefer dash with all power builds but I think that it is a bit too strong, 450 range super speed dash, it would still be strong at 300 range.

Sb is very viable, that is ofc your play style suits it. I have been running sb since I started thief so I wouldn’t know what double melee sets are like and I peroannly wouldn’t run 2 anyway. Short aa ranges from 1.5-2K crits depending on the build I am facing wich I think isn’t too bad.
