It’s kinda sad, yet entertaining to see this guy always move on to another argument whenever the last one crumbles. Will he ever run out of ammo? We’ll have to wait and see, folks!

I just came here to say that from the moment I read the item’s name I knew what it was about.
The issue here -I think- is that people often do not know what exactly the term Collections encapsulates, and so they get wrong ideas about it. It happens.

I guess that I should agree with this kind of threads, as I always wear zerker gear and strive for efficiency. However, these threads are also numerous and provide nothing to the betterment(?) of this subforum, as they are just the antithesis of those “QQzerkskipstackexploiting” threads.
Either way, in my opinion, people have a hard time accepting that others do better than them at something, regardless of the circumstances that caused it. In real life there is no one they can nag about it, but as this game is led by a tangible company with tangible people, they feel like they can complain (and it sometimes actually works) their way to whatever definition of equality they have, much like a group of socialist hippies or commies whose only power comes from speech.
That said, I don’t think that this thread will achieve any good.
It would be nice if ANet released an arena where you can choose to fight any boss from the game.
^This one hundred million times square.

It feels like the droprate was reduced. Unfortunately, I have no evidence to support my argument, and therefore I’ll have to believe it’s just RNG being an kitten .
If your worst experience is buying the game, why do you still play it and post on forums ?
1)I never said that I was still playing.
2)I read the forums to see if there’s anything that would change my mind.
You don’t have to play a game to post on the forums, and you don’t need to be hostile.(You sound that way, to me.)
Eh, in retrospect, this is my fault. I trusted my friend’s word instead of researching to see whether the game was worth it. I should have at least waited for a free trial weekend or for a sale.
Oh well, lesson earned.
Wonder if there’s a guide on how to enjoy the game. Maybe I’m just doing things wrong.
Sometimes it’s just not for you, pal. Move on, forget and let others have their fun.
I just realized that if legendaries become account will we be able to sell it? This worries me.
Soulbound Legendaries will become Accountbound. Non-bound ones should remain the way they are until equipped.
So far, farming a variety of level brackets I’ve had 3 ascended armour chests, an ascended weapons chest, 3 weapon skins, 1 blank weapon (what is with that anyway, guess i’m supposed to put a jewel in it?!), a myriad number of rings some of which I’v kept the rest are only worth vendoring.
So in total, not too bad a set of drops given I’ve only recently hit 500 fractals. Just enough to keep me wanting to do fractals. It’s challenging enough that it’s worth playing. A few more levels would make it more interesting and bringing back the levels >50 would be awesome
Was this blank weapon obtained pre-Fractured? If so, it’s a fractal skin.
The question is why would you take banner when its un-needed and perma swiftness is more useful.
I always take banner when pugging out of sheer distrust.
Better have it and not need it than need it and not have it; I can take Warrior’s Sprint to compensate the lack of swiftness too if appropriate.

Improve yourself and no one will ever kick you.
/thread
Seconded.
Get good enough to carry yourself and someone else. That way you can compensate for the failures of others when appropriate and not have to worry about getting kicked. About getting kicked to make a spot for the hosts’ guildmates, you can avoid it by hosting your own runs or pay attention to the small cues that give scammers away, such as everyone being in the same guild, unusual quietness and anything suspicious.
Another measure that may or may not help when in a shifty group would be taking screens at the end of the third Fractal, so that you can at least remember their names to issue a report.
Keep in mind that these suggestions do not assure that you won’t get kicked unfairly, but they’ll sharply decrease the likelihood of that taking place.
I will mention that I have never been kicked from pugs in this game.

but deSade, why slot a potential lifesaver Elite skill that also grants you and your party Might, Fury and Swiftness when you can have one that gives those bonuses only to you? That reasoning makes too much sense, man.
That, and Warbanner is not a signet.
I find this thread amusing and somewhat educational.
Keep it up, guys.

Are you completely sure about being able to read their /emote messages in chat?
A dear friend of mine asked me to block him to see if I could see/read his emotes, and while I was still able to see the animation, the emote message did not appear in my chat.
This was a few months ago.
As you learn them its easy…
… and we have a winner!
That’s the thing in most games. People at first don’t know what to do, but then they learn after repeated attempts. The problem is that a large majority of players is too lazy/mediocre for that.
I’ve noticed a pattern so far and it goes like this:
1. Attempt to faceroll encounter.
2. Fail encounter and learn nothing from it.
3. Repeat step number one and two a few more times.
4. Complain on forums over and over.
5. Get carried by a team of good/decent players and still learn nothing from it and forget about the issue.
6. Repeat step number five as often as possible. If not applicable, then refer to steps one, two and four.

Oh, man. I hope that you’re not posting all those gems hoping that ANET will see this thread and think something along the lines of “Oh wow, this gives us a lot of money; let’s please him”, because that won’t happen.
That said, that’s a nice bunch of gems.

There’s no event that prevents access to WvW and there’s no event that prevents access to sPvP.
Though I would not mind if dungeons were open 24/7, I’d say that WvW and sPvP are not tied to lore as much as PvE is, so lorewise it does make sense for some dungeons’ entrances to be blocked at first.
In one hand, I like it that skins remain rare. In the other… well, the rewards are sooooo pathetic.
I take it that you do get gold in the form of rares and sometimes exotic, but due to some unholy streak of bad luck, you might get no ectos from those either.
FotM is supposed to be GW2’s endgame. With these rewards, I’m not surprised that only a few run higher levels on a daily basis.
But I mean… can you imagine that NPC spamming:
We have cleared the entrance to the citadel of flame!
Ad infinitum?
The horror! The despair! CITIZENS!
But, but… she already does!
Where does it say/show that the dragons don’t care about the actions of their minions? Also I thought that minions were given the will of their masters, so if they show hostility to different minions, it would make sense that it comes from the dragons hostility to each other.
Oh, no. You don’t argue with Konig about lore. Konig is this forum’s loremaster.
Is ArenaNet permitted to argue with Koing?
What would Koing do if ArenaNet decided to prove him wrong and bragged about it in an interview?Since when do we see anyone other than ArenaNet themselves as Loremaster?

I can see griefing potential in this, so I disagree.
There are better ways to make the game more challenging than forcing a prehistoric mechanic on everyone..
A safe run is a run where he gets carried by a tanking npc cause he fails to dodge the first boss and goes down.
Funny that you say that, because Goku is a better player than you’ll ever be.
If it was meant as a joke, however, I apologise for my hostility. Otherwise, I meant every word of it.
The only problem I see with fractals is that they refuse to give me an axe skin. :|

Oh, no. You don’t argue with Konig about lore. Konig is this forum’s loremaster.
I’d like to see the game adjusted so that people can still skip if they want (time = more important), but if they fight their way through, they get much better loot (rewards = more important).
Skipping wouldn’t be a thing if there were better rewards to the game.
I skip whatever is conventionally skippable because I will get the same reward whether I do it or not.
If there was a reward different between skipping and not skipping, I would prefer not to skip.

Too much work for the devs.
The technology just isn’t there yet
Come on, guys, that’s posting just for the sake of posting.
As far as I know, Shield of the Avenger, Feedback and similar skills do protect you from the poison thing he hurls with its hand(?) while it is still in the air.
I’ve heard that an untraited iWarden destroys Old Tom’s poison projectiles. Can anyone confirm or refute?

Nullify the knock down lightning ball attack by using distortion at the center of its aoe.
Excuse me, but doesn’t Distortion count as an evade, effectively avoiding the knockback/damage regardless of positioning?
We’re talking about the shatter skill, right?
EDIT: Oh, did you mean you had to be at the center to reflect it back if traited?

Shockwave skipper – Did a run where killed berserker without getting hit at all, from relatively close range, jumped over shockwaves. No achievement. Are we supposed to kill the firestorm first, or is this just bugged?
This one has been bugged for a while now. I know only a handful of people who’ve earned it, and one of them claims to have facetanked several waves
Molten facility rewards – chest drops as reward fractal relics for level, 1 AR, and 1 other item, typically a blue/green. Sometimes i get some extra copper as well. This has been observed for this fractal every time I have done it.
I’ve looted a few rares, along with blues and greens, but I’ve never checked how many relics I get. I’ll keep my eyes open next time.
Rewards in general – Have done many lvl 40s and 50s since the recent update with supposed increase. Not a single fractal weapon, not a single box, a few rings, and mostly, just the empyreal fragments with nothing else.
That would be RNG. Sometimes I spend a whole month without getting anything and then get several skins and some boxes in a row (stats I don’t need, but oh well). I know how frustrating it can be; I’ve been wanting to get a godkitten Fractal Axe for about 7 months now
it also shows that making a hybrid of dragon corruption may not be possible for dragons to do, which could explain their resistance to being corrupted.
But from where are you getting this? So far I don’t think that we’ve seen the dragons interact with each other; not to mention that they may or may not be hostile towards one another.
If it is demonstrated by fact that dragon corruption from one ED makes you resistant or immune to another’s, then by all means will I stand corrected, but until then, I think that it is more prudent to adhere to the facts.
Now, it would be somewhat explain why Sylvari can’t become Risen and simply die if overly exposed to Zhaitan’s corruption, but there’s a whole lot of things we still don’t know about them.
I’m pretty sure Kudu’s Monster is specifically called out as being the result of multiple corruptions.
This is the exact dialogue from CoE Story Mode.
Encountering Kudu (cinematic):
Kudu: You’re lucky to have made it this far, Zojja.
Logan Thackeray: Look at his face! He’s been corrupted by the dragon energies.
Zojja: It’s an improvement.
Kudu: Enlightenment always comes at a price. Now you must pay for what you’ve learned.
After defeating Kudu:
Kudu: I may perish, but my creation will destroy you all!
Kudu: Behold my greatest work – the power of the dragons, invested in a creature under my control!

It’s this year’s April Fail’s joke for GW2.
I’ve never understood why you’re always carrying such a bitter, negative attitude with you, man. It’s worrisome.
I’m rather jovial in person.
Good one, Squidward.
Scarlet Gloves, Shoulders and Mask have glow-ish effects and can be dyed as well.
ANET pls give us dyeable particles. :c
(edited by FenrirSlakt.3692)
Well, I decided to do a quick look through of CoE since I haven’t been in it in a while, and it unless I missed some stuff, I think only two monsters in the dungeon could be considered a hybrid of dragon corruption. Kudu’s Monster, which looks more like a risen giant, and not necessarily a hybrid. And Subject Alpha, which can be considered unstable. So with Subject Alpha as our only known hybrid of dragon corruption, it could be that other attempts have ended with the subject being destroyed. If there are more examples then Subject Alpha that I missed then I’m sorry for skipping them.
Which demonstrates that it’s possible. Perhaps not something easy to reproduce, but it’s possible.
Also, why would Alpha be considered unstable?
What I’m starting to find amusing about this is how easily amused people are. Not that being easily amused is a bad thing; I just prefer more intelligence in my humour.
My friend, I do take pleasure in well-executed, clever, complex jokes as well, yet I don’t feel the need to indirectly call others intellectually inferior people just because their tastes in humour are different to my own.
You see, by doing this you do not appear to be smarter, cleverer or more sophisticated. Instead, you look like a stuck-up, pretentious kitten. Now, if you put some thought into it, you’ll realise that people are just happy that ANET took some of their time to add something wacky to commemorate today’s occasion and are, in turn, expressing their gratitude by sharing screenshots, opinions and whatnot.
In time you will realise that a person’s intellect and cleverness show on their own without needing to foolishly downsize others to demonstrate them.
Well, for starters I don’t actually recall calling anybody intellectually inferior. I do recall saying that the joke lacked any intellectual credit, but hey, let’s just put words in my mouth for the hell of it.
I don’t recall ever saying that if you like this kind of thing then you must be an idiot. All I’m saying is you have to be pretty easily amused to like this kind of thing. I’m sure you can be easily amused and intelligent simultaneously, but there’s no point in denying that this kind of humour is pretty juvenile, and it’s just not to my tastes.
I may have misinterpreted your words, but to me (and others) it seemed that you were indirectly calling others dull-witted. If that was not your intention, then I’ll simply stand corrected and derail the thread no further.
Still, you might want to consider thinking your words a little bit more carefully in the future as to avoid misunderstandings. You and I know how easy it is to start arguments in the internet.

Ty Anet for this bobble crap you just made the dungeons unplayable i just stop playing till heads are normal again.
I feel that you’re exaggerating a little bit with that statement. However, I’ll give you that some abilities are trickier to read due to the huge bobble heads enemies possess.
Anyway, if you want to get rid of the heads, change your computer’s date to anything, except today’s.

It’s this year’s April Fail’s joke for GW2.
I’ve never understood why you’re always carrying such a bitter, negative attitude with you, man. It’s worrisome.
I once got a Fractal weapon skin.
The reason it is not allowed in sPvP is that people would constantly counter each other over and over again until sPvP is all about being able to swap your traits faster than your enemies. Besides, once you enter a sPvP match, you can’t leave without penalty. This is not the case in PvE.
In PvE you can exit your dungeon and hop back in as often you like. A restriction such as the one OP is… vehemently suggesting would be unnecessarily tedious, as people could simply exit the dungeon to reset and rearrange their traits, the loading screens and their teammates’ patience being the only limitation on the way. This would not hurt organised groups in any way, shape or form because they’d understand what is happening and why, whereas it would severely affect more casual players due to the chaotic nature of some PuGs.
I hope these points I have exposed reach the OP, so that he may be more at ease with the current situation, instead of feeling that there’s a imbalance or an injustice between PvP and PvE.
We very clearly follows the Leyline. And it goes towards Magus Falls.
We might see more of Malyck in the future.
It always annoyed me how people use CoE to point out that dragon minions can be corrupted by another dragon, while ignoring the fact that those combinations are not a natural occurrence, and we’ve yet to see a natural cross breed of dragon minions. But that’s just my viewpoint on it.
CoE is used as an example because it shows that multiple types of random corruption can plague a single body, even if artificially induced. This argument is far more convincing than saying that one type of dragon corruption protects you from another just because we haven’t seen it happen naturally.
An argument that uses tangible evidence as proof will always be stronger than an argument that uses its absence in the same manner.
Edited the image to avoid derailing the topic further.
