This update is not as bad as people make it seem.
Yes, I’ll do 10-30% less damage due to the zerker gear nerf, but in the other hand, all of my characters can share weapons/armor, so I won’t have to craft gear for every single one of them AND then buy cool skins/dyes.
Bugs and minor inconveniences aside, this update was pretty nice.
(Please fix the iWarden, though!)
How about soloing dungeons/fractals instead? Open world champions are a joke.
So what seems to be the best way to farm relics? I’ve been saving up and I have about 500 fractal relics and 11 pristine. I want to save up for the fractal capacitor. So would it be helpful to complete as many tiers per daily? I’m currently level 14 and I usually get about two tiers done per day. Is there any tips on who I could speed up my process for farming?
The higher the level (your personal must be equal or higher, of course), the higher the number of relics you get. If I’m not wrong, at level 49 and 50, you get about 14 Fractal Relics per Fractal and 40-ish from the daily chest.
You can also convert every Pristine Relic into 15 normal relics.
seeing as you get 3 weapons during working towards the final reward you get 3 two-handed weapons which are 390 tokens each if you wanted to get them from doing dungeons in pve. that would be 1170 tokens. it is 1380 tokens to get a whole armor set. so when it tells me I am going to get a set of armor, I believe it and that is what I should get
Well, that’s really inconvenient, is it not?
Faithful berserkers, why are you wasting your time arguing with these heathens? Don’t you have bosses to melt, crits to deliver, gold and tokens to earn?
Leave the wretched to their foul machinations and go. Go and spread the gospel through the power of constant flurries of five digit numbers.
An entire armour set for completing a single track? I think your expectations are a little high. If the tracks gave out complete sets, sPvP would be the go to place to obtain armour, and that’s not right. If anything is wrong it’s the wording.
This.
Hm, lets see. Any word on getting the warden fixed actually?
Seconded.
Please don’t say “Fixed in the next iteration”. At this point you might as well replace “in the next iteration” with “someday”.
You cannot daze, stun, or fear Lupicus.
You can’t, I can.
Did he just doublekick?
What is this post about exactly? I haven’t seen any changes to my Mesmer. 0.o
Except the new traits of course.
Beats me. Nothing has changed for the worse.
I just hate that they promised a fix for our iWarden months ago and failed to deliver (and also introduced a new bug).
Warden seems to reflect projectiles upwards, so they completely miss if the target is not practically kissing them.
Lol?
I can second that, my traited wardens can’t seem to reflect harpy arrows back to their shooter.Or it could be that my trait bugs out on map change.
Edit: Yep, reslotted the trait and it works fine.
I’d like to encourage you to test further, perhaps in sPvP or WvW with a friend. I’ve seen projectiles being consistently reflected upwards, which still hits the target if they’re close, but will utterly miss if they move, unless they have a gigantic hitbox.
Yeah, I kinda expected to be a stealthnerf. It wouldn’t be as bad if they hadn’t broken the Warden further.
Psh.
It appears that the iWarden reflects projectiles upwards, so they won’t hit anything, unless they’re literally standing next to the Warden.
It appears that these traits swapped places this last patch, and as none of them are mentioned in the Patch Notes, I’m assuming that this change was unintended.
Empowering Mantras grants us 4% extra damage for every readied mantra we have in our utilities.
Harmonious Mantras let’s us use our readied mantras thrice instead of the usual twice.
Unintended change, stealth-nerf or simply forgot to include it in the patch notes?
iWarden not fixed
Not even reflecting now
Still stares to death
Warden seems to reflect projectiles upwards, so they completely miss if the target is not practically kissing them.
Tested Warden vs Ele + Icebow and Ranger + Longbow, both auto and non auto-attack skills. Here’s a vid of the Ele test:
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JKHnfJ0uCwIn fact, while testing with a ranger even targeting the warden still didn’t proc the reflects. The animation happened, but not the dmg.
Also, warden STILL fails to spin on summon:
- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9wC0qQEseo (at 0:28)
Well, there we have it.
Will we ever have a functional iWarden? Will our favorite phantasm ever learn that staring foes to death is not a viable strategy?
This and more in the next episode of GW2: Bug Report.
iWarden is still broken. In fact, it’s worse now, as it will not reflect things (traited).
unless u have something usefull to tell about this thread go troll somewhere else. im simply looking for help and not for some scrap kid telling me about spelling n stuff.
Trying to help others by pointing out their mistakes so that they don’t commit them again equals to trolling. K, noted.
A screenshot would help.
Relax, guys. We just have to wait until the next Feature Patch.
Jokes aside, I’m hoping that they’ll hotfix this instead of making us wait (again) for the next large patch.
Either way, keep pushing this thread or the other more-appropriate thread if it exists.
Made some slight changes.
You can click on them and they’ll go faster, if it makes you antsy.
Also, try going into the Mists with your first character. That should do the trick.
Well, that’s nice, thanks, but that doesn’t quite answer my question as to what in the world you lot were thinking.
You don’t expect them to answer that, do you?
What lack of empathy. I doubt anyone would be saying these things if they did it themselves.
Oh, this argument again.
Whatever…its a problem anet should deal with.
LFG filled with profession requests is BAD.
how is it bad? how is it bad that a group asks for a warrior (for their banners), or an ele (for FGS and icebow), or some other class with the intent of getting the benefits that they provide?
perhaps it’s futile hope since these are pugs, but how is it negative? if I see an LFG asking for something that I can run with, I join it. otherwise I join another LFG. it’s not hard.
It’s terrible, man. No one should ever have the right to choose what they want their groups to be like. We all should just type “P1”, hope for the best and never kick anyone, regardless of profession, level, gear or performance, because that way they wouldn’t be playing how they want.
Yup, that’s clearly the way LFG was intended to function.
Is there a heavy armor supremacist group in the game?
WarDians has a nice ring to it.

Looks like you guys figured it out, but I’ll make it official anyways.
- Splitters aren’t sold any more because, all skins you would get with a splitter will already be unlocked by the wardrobe system automatically.
- The only reason to use a splitter at this point is to get the stats of the current appearance back. (Or as someone mentioned to create an extra item salvage, but i’d suggest you save your splitter and trade it in for charges if you want value)We are not removing them from inventory automatically. You will trade them in at a black lion trading post after the 15th.
Say, if I bought Phalanx armor, applied every skin on a character’s armor and then transmuted them to look like a different set, will I still have Phalanx unlocked? I’m asking this because I read a post saying otherwise.
Sylvari children don’t exist and underage Norns are just scaled down humans.
The Nightmare Tree
I have to fight with my staff
Weapon swapping bugged
Hero panel up,
Arrows between weapons sets,
To fix click you must.
I noticed at COF p1 last boss, cant switch from staff to greatsword at all untill boss dies.
and TA forward last boss same thing.
Playing as a guardian.
Seems like more people also have this problem, someone else told me it happens all the time.
It does occur from time to time, and though annoying, it can be fixed by opening your Hero panel and clicking on the arrows between your weapons. Stupid? Yes. Annoying? Very. Gamebreaking? Not at all.
Spread the knowledge, OP!
It never crossed your mind to test four them before wasting 8k of badges?
Probably not.
I suggest you, OP to talk to support and see if they can help you. Otherwise you’re out of luck.
Why is this in the Bug report section?
Reconnaissance is usually followed by some manner of assault.
Yes but here they don’t, because charr saw than send a few warband is not sufficient to invade the norn . They stopped the invasion because they knew that norn was not going to be invaded by a few warband, because norn have their surnatural strenght.
A tactical and ruthless race like the Charr would admit defeat because they are scared of a little brawn?
You’re just spewing words randomly, aren’t you?
Tactical means that they strive to use their resources in the most efficient manner possible. If the Charr saw that it would take one third of their total strength to wipe out the Norn, and still at heavy losses while having internal issues with the Flame Legion and an open front at Ebonhawke, I would say that backing off was the smartest and most logical choice the could’ve taken (and they did).
The Red Star is the world of Aion.
The White Star is the world of Lineage.
That is my guess.
Worlds don’t shine, though. Their suns do.
So tell us more about how ranging prevents her from using her melee attack, which incidentally applies weakness and 6 bleed stacks. Or Lupicus’ kick/doubleslash of doom.
Or any melee attack for that matter.Go on, tell us it’s an exploit.
I don’t understand. Do you think (or wish) this game was designed for players to stand still in one position, at a certain distance from the enemy, never moving or dodging, so they can DPS the enemy while it sits still and uses one kind of attack?
As as I mentioned in my edit, the fact that you can do that is bad enemy design. And players are exploiting that bad design. See how I correctly used that word in bold there?
I don’t accept that developers in GW2 intended for such a boring game, especially considering the awesome mechanics they have implemented.
And, yes, you can stand at a certain distance from the Spider so that she stands in place, misses her web, doesn’t move closer and only throws poison fields you can easily dodge. Was that intended? Did they design all her attacks and AI so that players can just trick her into not using them?
So basically you think that rendering a monster unable to use an attack is exploiting in a game that revolves around not taking damage. You want to get hit. Well, I have news for you, brother: you can. Stacking on the Spider Queen makes it no less dangerous when it comes to avoiding her attacks. I have yet to see a single pug who stacks and dodges her melee attack.
I’ve seen pugs lack the damage to kill her and get obliterated.
Everything is changing this Tuesday so no point talking about it right now. There is going to be a complete redesign of all builds. GW 3 is coming out…
Assuming that this thread is reliable, thing’s won’t change that much.

Let people complain, it serves as a valve to release some pressure. It’s clear that ANET won’t compensate where they don’t feel it’s due, so just let them be.
So sad that everyone thinks necros DPS sucks….
They also think necros group utility sucks….
Dredge=well of corruption… Just saying….Necro DPS does suck compared to elementalists and thieves. Necro utility does suck compared to every other class. . Well of corruption can remove a maximum of 25 boons per 40 seconds. A mesmer can remove a maximum of 73 boons per 40 seconds for the same amount of utilities (sword AA + null field).
They can remove boons but they can’t change em to conditions…. Lets just say dredge on my necro is easier than dredge on my mesmer….
Don’t quote me on this, but I’m pretty sure that the damage dredge take from their reflected attacks is much higher than whatever damage the conditions from WoC could do.
How about increasing your droprate by a bit after each daily-chest without ascended item (not counting rings), maybe depending on the fractal level you´re doing, something along the lines fractal level * 0,2% with reset after an ascended non-ring drop?
It isn´t much of an increase, small enough so the economy won´t change much, but at least a run without loot doesn´t feel like completely wasted time anymore.
It wouldn’t harm the economy even if it were higher, as no reward from Fractals can be sold through any source.
So sad that everyone thinks necros DPS sucks….

Dredge=well of corruption… Just saying….
Mesmer sword AA chain rips boons off the enemies and they pack reflects.
Necromancer DPS doesn’t suck. In fact, it’s slightly better than a warrior’s, but they don’t possess banners or the ability to cleave 24/7.
The main issue with necros is that they can’t reliably cleave and sorely lack group support skills (and the ones they have are outshone by those of other classes). It’s not about raw damage.

Fractal level 50.
Ele PuG didn’t know what a Combo Field/Finisher was.
Palm meets forehead at such speed that I think my already low IQ dropped a little.
A small correction:
AC Story → Lv30
AC Explo → Lv35
Where in there does it mention a reduction of size of the norn race? Please point out the exact bits that make it so “clear”. Saying it’s there and showing how it’s there are very different things. Feel free to dissect his dialog.
The evidence is clear, their feats are much smaller and a lot more normal. As a matter of fact, all these individual feats that you praise only happened once and they were all a very long time ago. In real life we like to refer to them as exaggerations.
FYI..The hint I was referring to was The Fang of the Serpeant. Look at the Size of it… stories does not tell of this as an individual feat or combined effort. But if this was an individual feat none of the Norns in the GW2 Generation would be able to accomplish anything even remotely possible.
Norns are not the Norns of old. Charr are still the trained killers they have always been, and they bred that way.
You know the norn are just waiting for the prophesy to be fulfilled of the norn that does break that tooth right? Hmm, that could be an indication that the norn are only getting stronger.
edit: if you skim through this very thread you will see some of the very recent feats from norn in the lore.
I’m calling it now. It’ll be Braham.

I think it would be more efficient to just ban none zerkers, seeing as all zerkers bring something to the table…
except necro’s, they don’t.
Necros have some mighty strong autos, but they don’t cleave. :<
But you’re using the evade and block exploits, man. /report
that doesn’t mean those players are selfish, bad, or dumb.
I agree, until they join my groups, paying no regard to the extremely explicit requirements I listed on my ads. That makes me assume that they’re either selfish or too distracted.
Also if people respected party descriptions… But no, instead we get people telling how we are evil and toxic because we want to play our own way. Oh, and how evil we are when we try to force our way on everyone else. Yeah right…
This man speaks the truth.
My LFG ads for speedruns go as it follows:
Speedrun|ºZerk gearº|ººXPºº|Know your stuff|<Observation>|P<number>|
By <observation> I mean any extra requirement, such as “Melee Lupi” and other variables.
P<number> is, obviously, the path I’m willing to run.
This way they must have had to read the ad and hover their cursor over it to know what path that ad is for, but what do I get? PVT Warriors, Cleric’s Guardians, Condi Necros/Engis.
These days I am forced to add “Ping gear” to that already long list just to be sure, which doesn’t always really help.
Is reading seriously that hard?
Edit: Inb4 my groups get flooded with PVT anti-elitists.
(edited by FenrirSlakt.3692)
I’ll give you a suggestion that will shape you into a better player over the months.
Get full berserker gear from the very beginning. It makes survival kinda tricky in some situations, but through trial and error you’ll get better at it and find out how unnecessary defense is when you make the most out of your survival tools.
Some people want zerker only runs. They care what other people do in their group. They care if people just do their own thing as it wastes precious play time. They hate people who join their groups enough to kick them out (if they don’t have zerker gear). They don’t feel they are like other players, whereas the other players feel they are like everyone else.
There’s your answer. The ‘zerker only’ community separates itself by choice from the players who will run groups with anyone. It is no surprise that people who are excluded (and kicked out) have an opinion about a separation that is forced upon them.
Well, no kitten Sherlock! Of course I care about my time.
Wait, you’re being sarcastic, right? And I just fell for the bait.
Shame on me; well played.
I’ll join you if the time is right.
Tomorrow.
Edit: Tomorrow isn’t my char name. Just use my account name.

Let’s simplify the debate a bit. We have a lot of variables in discussion, let’s say that TP Fees are still a factor, but controlling inflation and gold sinks are not.
Furthermore let’s assume that we all agree that 1c holds a virtual non-value on goods above X price. How do you determine a system that effectively chooses what an appropriate value is that doesn’t
1. Injure the market 2. Discourage use of the TP
Note: this value may be algorithmic, but you must PROVE the values are effective. You may assume you have perfect data of the TP if you need it to support a hypothesis. The controlling factor could be Time.
The goal is (I think) to reach equilibrium price quickly – but without forcing an overshoot by having a minimum undercut larger than the distance from current lowest offer and actual equilibrium (hence the concerns around algorithmically generated undercuts for lower cost items).
What if the minimum undercut changes as a particular item stagnates? Specifically: the longer its been since an item has sold, the larger the undercut becomes – the item is clearly not at equilibrium and we want the system to speed things along.
Hmm. This is human look-up chart for a moment, rather than a formula, but bear with me.
Use the lowest that is true:
Item has not sold in the last 72 hours — 5% undercut required
If the item has sold in the last 72 hours — 3% undercut required
If the item has sold in the last 12 hours — 2% undercut required
If the item has sold in the last 2 hours — 1% undercut required
If the item has sold in the last 20 minutes — 1c undercut requiredHigh volume items would be unaffected relative to our current model, but things that sit now require a sincere effort to get them back into motion.
If any changes were to be made, I’d vote for these.
