So, I’m a little frustrated right now. I waited for people to join a Lv. 30 Fractal for over 40 minutes and had to continuously refresh my LFG post. After awhile, it would say my messages were suppressed and I wouldn’t be able to post anything. I tried posting different messages, nada, nothing. I waited awhile, still suppressed. I can’t post anything for any dungeon. Can someone please tell me a way to fix this or is there no way to escape this bull kitten?

@OP: I get what you are saying, but if you al, take the 2 minutes it takes and roll for it. It’s not like you have to sit there for hours doing it.

I guess your right. But the thing is, if you think about it, despite fractals being random, the first fractal essentially has choice NO MATTER WHAT since you can back out and roll again. There is no way ANET can’t realize that. So why not cut such a redundant step?

You have a practical mindset, and I like that very much. However, having to roll for it gives people the illusion of randomness.

It’s all about flavour, rather than effectiveness.

So, my wife and I have been doing tequatl for quite a while, we have been doing abom watch for quite some time now. and have not had any problems getting rewarded. although last Friday we done teq, same as always, my wife got credit for the 3 battery phases,(she got the blue green and gold chest) but no end reward chest or orange chest. I was right there with her doing the same thing and I got the reward..

Then tonight we go to do teq again, i was in overflow, but watched my wife in main, she participated in the battery phases, but got no reward for first battery phase, even though she did kill creatures.. then in third battery phase she died. anyway she got the blue and green chest. but again no end reward chest, and no orange or yellow chest.

I had her do a bog report ingame tonight.

Your post wasn’t very clear to me, so I apologise beforehand. Either way, did she not run Tequatl earlier that day? The orange chest drops once per day only.

Keep in mind that dailies reset everyday at 17:00 server time.

If people spent half of the time they spend here arguing on completing those events or guesting, they would be done with the dungeons quicker.

Oh well, the less dungeons they run, the less gold is created out of thin air, so it helps the economy that they waste their time complaining about stuff no one cares about.

I agree. Asura are too tall and need to have their sizes nerfed so that they’re all 25% shorter.

Think of it as that extra challenge this game needed.

Some bosses and mechanics are pretty soloable, but some, just as the small puzzle at Swamp, buttons at Dredge, 1st phase at Grawl can be troublesome, expensive and/or impossible without exploiting even for someone at Fractal level 50.

As others have said before, repair costs are disappearing, but armor damage isn’t, so feel free to use them now that repair costs still matter or whenever you don’t feel to WP for repairs.

I might be one of a very limited few that never cashed in my fuses gauntlet ticket. I knew I’d have to choose the armor weight then and I didn’t have a toon I wanted to use them on yet. Now I’m wondering, after the patch, will the gauntlet be only one weight or usable for all three?

Aside from the last event of the chain you can solo it and getting two people is not that hard. In addition that site has NEVER been down for me I have to use it daily. If it’s not open on any servers go to the the one that says attacking and do the event. It doesn’t ruin accessibility anyone can do the event. So what if you have to do the event? It doesn’t take a lot of time and if you don’t have that amount of time why are you playing in the first place? It’s like saying Fotm lvl 10+ isn’t accessible to you because you invested the time to get to that level.

Dredge chance did get higher with the new tier system.

Well, it’s not a fact, just some personal observation, but it seems that when you roll for swamp, the chance to get dredge is really high, while if you have underwater for the first fractal it’s unlikely to have dredge as third fractal.

How often were you able to reproduce this? I dislike UW combat in most characters, but would be willing to endure it if it meant less of a chance of getting dredge.

The Risen are not as strong as they were, now that Zhaitan is dead, but they’re far from being weak. Every loss on our side equals to a gain on theirs.
Now, no one knows what kind of unbalance killing off an ED has. Tequatl became stronger lore-wise AFTER Zhaitan’s death, so you can’t assume that by killing off their leader, the rest of the army will simply die out; there are intelligent Risen still.

Precursors are extremely rare weapons that can drop from any monster in the game, albeit at a very low chance.

I also think that homogenization of races is bad thing. Why bother creating different races in the first place. Sole fact that races are working hand in hand without any major frictions is hardly believable, but instance when races with different life philosophies, not to mention biological differences, are so unified is nearly impossible.

Note the list of closed games. It’s not just one or two, and it includes MMOs. If you want a bit more fun, feel free to read further down about the protests about CoH shutting down, and the Richard Garriott lawsuits. Interesting stuff there, and you can easily find information about it beyond Wikipedia.

Basically, if they think they have reason to, NCSoft will kill any game they have, and bury it in a shallow grave. It doesn’t matter if the players of the game love it or not, they’ll kill it anyway and put their money elsewhere.

And where would that “elsewhere” be? Well, there’s always Lineage 3 to support, for starters.

Oh, yes, I can pull out wikipedia links too and perhaps just as well as I can with youtube links..

You see, most of the closed games on that list were not very famous to begin with. In fact, the only two whose names I can recall are CoH and LA, and kitten , both did last quite a while. Now, Lineage is still available, just not the NA server. That said, MMOs going active and then dead is a very natural part of the cycle, so it’s not something to shed tears about.

I’m not a fan of NCSoft either, to be honest, but I don’t see GW2 dying as soon as you’re claiming. Yes, it will die someday, just like every game out there. When? I don’t know.

Some will think about leaving, and continue playing. But they’ll play less and less, the game having lost some of it’s appeal. Also, if their friends quit or play less, that makes it all the easier to stop playing. (This is me, by the way.)

Some will come back. If they stay or not will depend on what they think of what they find. Some will, some won’t.

Let’s be honest here, the important thing is how well this game will do in China. Even if it sells well at first, if it doesn’t have staying power, then the game will be doomed. NCSoft will kill it, as they have other games before, if it doesn’t make enough money. Just making a profit isn’t enough for them, if every $1 they invest in this game gets them $2 back, but Wildstar brings back $3 for every $1, they’ll throw it under the bus and put all their money behind Wildstar. Or for whatever other game they think is a better use of their money.

So, will it do well in China? I’m sorry, but I don’t really see a reason to think it will. Yes, this game has some core features that set it apart, but not by much and they’ve done very little to build on them. There are also other areas (guild functions, housing, wardrobe) where it’s painfully behind the average of what’s coming out soon, or out already. Add in the fact that absolutely ALL of that market has missed the entirety of LS Season 1, and I think there’s good reason to ask why anyone would think the game would do well enough over there to keep NCSoft supporting it.

There are three blogs remaining. ANet had better lube up some crowbars because if they don’t pull/pry out something big, this time next year GW2 may face the same exodus CoH hit.

Why do people always complain about this stuff? I’ve never played a game where killing trash is rewarding or worth the time spent. Someone please enlighten me as to which game has rewarding loot drops from trash mobs.

Also, all those other MMOs have this tagging system, in which once you hit a mob, no one else can get XP or items from it unless they’re in your party, and when that’s the case, the XP/loot must be shared among your party-members, so in order to get enough XP for everyone in your party, you have to kill five times as many monsters. This is the reason skipping doesn’t occur as much in other MMOs.

I believe the reason that people started bashing ESO on this thread is that somebody else attempted to use ESO to bash GW2. Considering that these forums are dedicated to GW2, it is a safe assumption that most of the people here would incline towards defending GW2, than ESO.

False. Every Charr born in the Black Citadel has received training as a soldier. Evon is/was part of the Ash Legion and according to that shortstory about him killing his superior and taking control, I’d say he’s perfectly able to fight.

They’re not very efficient, it seems like they’ve been at it for almost two years now and nothing seems to be happening at Orr.

Please note that Orr is a mini-zombie apocalypse. Whoever is slain by Risen turns into one. Do you expect the Pact to kill every single undead without casualties?

I’m not the expert on lore, but I thought that Zhaitan was the force behind all the risen and that they don’t follow generic zombie movie tropes. Now that Zhaitan is gone, you’d expect there to be less risen?

The Risen can spread with or without Zhaitan. Difference being that they aren’t half as organised as they used to be.
