Gw2 had over 3 million copies sold 1st year + 500k china afaik.
Maximum was 400k around launch being online at same time.

Yes currently highest percentiles are 98% ,which means 50.000 poeple have played ( ithink its 3 matches) in ranked play to be on leaderboards.

Even in first year, before reset, i dont know that 99% ever happened so it means 100.000 is the upper limit. Given that 97% was max not long ago, the number is closer to 50k than 100k probably.

So i know the spectral return resets your position, hence why no falling dmg. Youre then tricking the game, to think you actualy started where the spectral return point is, rather than your actual jump, which would normaly be a not possible shadowstep. Right?

Does this only work if youre close to wurm?

Anyway it loks pretty amazing and fun to pose on those places as a necro.

Leeto is constantly top100, i was top200-500 playing almost exclusive power necro last 10months.

Is it viable as in, to take into organized tourny and win 1-2 matches againsr scrubsm while you have a decent team supporting you, preferably being an NA where poeple focus more 1v1 than teamplay? Yes.

Is it viable as in, actualy being good if the game had several teams on top competitive level, or giving you any realistic hopes to win or at least not knowing that you will 100% lose from the start by being hard countered / outrotated ? No.

But the isnt that much competion in gw2 around so you can get some results with it. I think best comparison is its a weaker DPS guard.

Pathing on reapers touch needs looking at, other than that no complaints.

Yup the thing is a projectile but it misses over any pebble/ledge (ex. kyhlo ledge to mid point, it magicaly dissapears).

0.5s cast time decrease (i mean look at mf pin down..) and maybe the skills will be worth using mid combot, currently theyre opening filler from range.

And when ur at that point, 20% crit for 5s and 2s prot and 2x 8% =16% LF versus 5% more dmg depending on life force and 50% crit the whole time youre in DS… Its pure math why 62006 is best.

Id suggest you try 44006 if you must go for the spectral atunement, even though youre wasting the fury.
The 50% crit chance in ds translates into +50% damage total for pvp stats. No other boost comes close to that

I havent tryed this nor any other axe + staff zerker builds. My main concern is
- you use staff without soul marks on a zerker
-axe/dager has bad life force and bad damage

A dodge or sidestep and you lose all your LF and a big part of your dmg. Axe/dager is more suitable for tankier soldier build, who actualy stay in that set and therefore need the condi transfer. They also benefit from retal, but thats minor stuff.
Ive played with axe/focus+ d/d
The axe set over typical leetos dd power necro, gives you another damaging set and mostly ranged. You start with axe set from afar, and at worst, you forced a few dodges and have an extra trait ( no soul marks). At best u get some free damage, LF, less boons and vulnerability for 10% more dmg with your actual dagger magic.

Also, i usualy feel traveler + swiftness is wasted stats points. Try another rune ( pack, strenght, hoelbrak, pirate…) or another stunbreak (wurm). I know its very useful, i just like fine tuning

Leetos dd power necro, trade staff for axe+focus. Opening from range on a warior ranger with the 3x boon rip, stacking some lf and vuln, then back to normal d/d rotations. Thats the only case where i found the boonstrip helped me actualy win a fight. Axe is still axe and necro is still necro

  • no healing and regen
  • no natural might stacking
  • best hybrid set is DS
  • we need traits + 1x utility at least to be offensive

I consider the stance broken.

They shouldnt whack-a-mole it from 4s to 8s (10s traited – which 99% does and the rest also gets a -33% condi reduction)

10s of complete immunity + adrenaline……. + allowing point contestion

The only current solution is to auto give up point and run.
A real solution would be a nerf / rebalance to the stance.

Sad truth aside, yes nightmare proc is stupid. Noone likes it. And ANet may be stupid enough to balance an entire proffesion around a 90s 1v1 one trick pony.

  • remove / lower back to 1s fear
  • revert bleed nerfs
  • start fixing sustain issues ( traited heals working with DS for start)

Like for real, you send a guy to start chewing on necro, switch with 1 from mid, while doing a high five when u meet half-way.

3) you basically lying. Necro IS the easiest target to train down.

4) most necros actually wanted this patch to:
- nerf nightmare runes for less burst
- revert preveious bleed nerfs for more constant pressure
- make our traits stop punishing you for using them or your class mechaninc (ex. Cleanse ire + burst costs less combo got fixed before it even started IIRC)

5) by pure CC ammount and real value, warrior hammer with 4x CCs or mesmer with interupts and boonrip are both better than a 3s fear, which can get stunbreak, cleansed or even reduced by a runeset where u pay from 45 to 30% might dur. for a 20-50% damage reduction of a whole type od builds (.imo thats more broken than any 90s random proc but hey, girlz just wanna have fun)

6) we are caster, thats why every kitenh skill has a 1h casttime, but at least its aoe. Well in this game most stuff gets 3/5 aoe potential for free.
So god forbid were actual good in a 3v3. No comment on the passive perma fire field the size of legacy

7) count the number, success , and serious team vs serious team with necro scenarios, in tje upcoming tournaments and tell me if theres a team looking for an OP necro

1) Warrior.
Broken OP , still causes afks to poeple with weak stomach.

2) Elementalist
Carried by celestial and good heals in pvp, wvw and pve is all about AoE anyway.

3) Guardian.
Their good builds most not recieve any further buffs (like the free meditation on elite skill)

4) Engieneer
Last 3rd of the celestial 1v1 gods trinity. Weapon mechanics allow these 3 to stack 9x might for free. Burning + Almost warrior puke like healing does the rest

5) Mesmer
Nothing new beside better GS+Staff , just stronger due to thief nerfs.

5.1) Thief
Lots of old evaders crying, while the good ones magicaly ramaing effective in their teams. In conquest, thief could be without armor, but mobilty would keep him viable. Though this means he must mostly lose 1v1 node encoutners… good/bad u decide

7) Necromancer
Waste of words to say same thing 100x times.

8) Ranger
Maybe 7th , longbow pewpew isnt seen to wrok in higher tournies. Youre deciding between the slow/weak necro or the same old spiritrezz.

Condition is damage over time.
To live through this time all DoT builds are tankier than direct burst builds. Following this basic design philosophy makes

-rabid necro engie a burst proffesion ( condiburst with bad sustain)
- all those celestial conditioneers, cz they have the sustain and same condie pressure over time

Jokes aside, ive been recently playing with regular rabid 04406 with fear dur. and stability. Its decent.

Ill try your when i get back to usual power necro.

What I mostly wanted from this patch (beside the disappointment from no new gamemods/maps) was for it to change th meta, somehow.
Apparently it is still the same. Am I too soon, and things need to settle down more, or do you think the meta we’ve seen the past few months will stay with us untill Feb?

You are way too soon. A meta cannot be judged within 2 days. Hambow warrior took months to be discovered after the patch prior to it becoming a very strong build.

How are you saying the meta is the same anyways? Are you judging this from hotjoins? Solo queue? I’ve already seen top teams starting to try new builds/compositions out and I can guarantee you it’s not the same stuff.

Hambow warrior appeared the next day they buffed the zerkernstance.
It just took 2 weeks for super to win the 10.000usd pax tourny and everyone to start swotching from necro and other condies classes, who were meta 2-3 months ago, and broken for 1 month till hotfix.

The thing was it didnt stop there, cz ANet didnt do any balance for next 6-9 months. So ofc it spread like a plague but the start was immidiiately after patch u saw warriors doing well with basicaly all builds.

Idk why, it seems also anet is using false date facts for their healing signet and zerker stance buffs.
Again, it didnt months, just the hotfixes in JULY that made warrior god.

Maybe top teams will drop 1x warrior for something fresh.

It will still be 3x celestial tanks ( dd ele, axebot, rifle engie) or a hambot , who will do decent in a teamfight,
then push far and autowin.

The game is not extra competitive so im sure we will at least see some funny attempts at new comps.

I think they went to casual (again) , or maybe you paraphrase into: we need a middle ground.

  • 1) the glorious here set, which only top 10 poeple will get for winning ToG.
    Super super super suuuuuuUUUUper great that finaly some prestige to the top. I will never come even close and im exited to maybe play against one
  • 2) a good pvper, lets say top100, 500, or even 1000.
    ….nothing….
  • 3) The normal hero set, which anyone with some time will get through hotjoin

As you see, point (2) is the middle ground between the top10 best and the average hotjoin hero. It is also the majority of all the pvpers left and the ones who complain on forums Basicaly something to diferentiate from the hotjoiners would be AWESOME.

The look itself?
I dont like my light version, but heavy and medium seem decent. Maybe ill mix stuff

For wvw zergs take the ranged aoe targeted wells on a glassy build.

For smaller scale roaming, take a plus 50crit while in DS , with some spectrals and much life force generation.

It seems you still cant stomp > DS .

You can however start stomp in DS and if enemy dps your LifeForce bar, the animation wont stop and stomp will go through.

It very annoying that you have to wait for DS cooldown to come up, and only then start to stomp. The biggest problem is that even with stability trait , you still need a quite a bit of boon duration

If they win something, boom they skyrocket over 90% where they are being beaten and called S…..T again.

I think i read for mesmer, they allowed Illusion of life, a ground targeted rezz to work underwater. It does the effect around the character, like if you mouse clicked the effect.

I only played a bit with axe over staff in power necro.
Its nice to have 2 damaging sets, but actualy the range on axe is terrible – its melee 90% , and staff provides a lot more utility while DS takes over when u need damage. Now you have 3 damaging sets and 0 defense so gl on kiting and CC

The only thing i like about axe is the #3, as it has might and even stabilty higher on the list.

dafok, warrior has always been the hardest to land their skills due to them being telegraphed and small radius, except longbow f1
