I played today always sacrificing the wurm on start on match. It is the current best patch over the broken mechanic.

I dont know if i would recommend it on power builds, ezpecialy any non 2x stunbreak.

  • Is it still at all possible to push far with no swiftnes + no life force / -1x stunbreak and escape teleport ?

The first and early engagement is soo important and im seeing trouble with it

For SAME CLASS i mean.

I main lets say necro.
lets say i have high MMR.
I just made asura alt and i have feeling last 2 games i played with complete beginers – 2x capping home and stuff.

So is MMR different for each character or does each account have 8 slots for each class?

Just one more reason, for people playing necro, to NEVER rely on deathshroud.

…on a related note, Terror builds are basically unaffected by this, because Terror has, and will always be, the only viable necro build.

I send a well written bug report every for this every day.

I havent played enough matches yet, but the ones that i played with known poeple it felt 500-0, 0-500, 500-0 courtyard snowball style.
To me, thats not balanced, the game and this class need anything but more snowball effects.

Around 20% was and is considered fair pvp 1v1 standard.

Problems are teamfights needing a bit more and most important – respawn.

After you wipe, you need to do a comeback – but you not only not gain the fair 20% , you even lose about 23% LF cz of coding.
Thats why were pushing for something more RELIABLE, less min/max, easier to balance. the last thing the game needs is more snowball effects.

Necro is for me currently unviable.

Just ideal scenario:
3x 1,3 s = 4 SECONDS just to get 12% LF …. No comment on what a realistic scenario, to get to 20% – which were the previous BALANCE STANDARD – would take.

This needs a dumbfire like fast hotfix.

I dont know which is worse of a snowball currently

Hello.

The 10s weapon and minion swap trick no longer work.

I hope now that the STARTING WITH ZERO LIFEFORCE issue will be looked and addressed,

as this makes necro currently unplayable from start and then snowballing whole game.

  • plain 20% LF at respawn
  • out of combat regen till 20%
  • out of combat regen AND degen till 50% , needs adjusting LF size …
  • anything else , but above were most common points brought up last 2 years

DO IT FAST , THIS IS NEEDS A HOTFIX IN NEXT FEW WEEKS.

It really seems weird, as this “pre-buffing” phase was deemed important and fairplay enough – that if rubberbanding hapened they would restart pvp tournaments.

I know this was how ESL handeld it but they never showed to against it.

on the other hand i really hope that now the ZERO LIFEFORCE issue will get adressed on necro

  • 10-20-30% LF on respawn
  • out of combat regen to 20%
  • out of combat regen AND degen to always 50% , makes min/max scenrios and necro easier to balance but would need adjusing LF size down a bit

The thing you said about not being good on classes: youll now have diferent rating for each class, which is great so noobing on alt will put u against other noobs without hurting your main rating

correction, ele does not beat necro, necro beat ele.

necro is pretty much the hard counter of dd ele and engi.
if you want to beat a team full of these classes, have a necro will give you better chance.

I knew i would get called on this one, but i didnt want to make first post any longer

  • ignorant version
    Best necro Noscoc lost to Best ele Phantaram. Necro is ok.
  • non ignorant 1v1 version
    Nos is BY FAAAAAR the best necro, more than the world #2 ele is away from phanta.
    I can only speak for EU, but even there we saw Prototype wining around 50/50 against other dd eles – depending on def/decap node, time pressure etc…

Basically a ele or others can help and cleanse a lot most of the necros damage before the bleeds add up. A necro always needs a ele/engie/warri/ranger to help him get the real damaging burning on target which immediately forces cooldowns.

Also, a necro should NEVER escape a 1v2, so the gank potential is huge. So for all again:

1) rebalance nightmare runes, no one likes them , better a reliable 0,5s fear every 30s than a unreliable 4s every 90s
2) How many sucessfull necros do you see in tournys ?
3) How many regular condi , turret , or celstial monkeys do you usually see?

So basically, to even have a shot of getting a mini llama.

I have to at least get to top 50.

Hope the patch goes live between 9am-12am PST so the point decay doesn’t kick me out of top 100.

Hope a trillion people won’t create new accounts just to get a free ride to the top 100 with stats like 10 wins and 4 losses and kicking me out of top 100.

For something that is suppose to be skill based, there’s certainly a lot of unpredictable factors to consider. Meh, I guess I’ll stay optimistic and hope the new pvp system is as glorious as it sounds.

The small minority of top pvper wont buy another copy of the game just for a chance of another mini.

Only the part of being top 50 holds true.
From names we usually see, id say like top 1-50 players will stay those positions even with days of decay.
The other usual 50-200 players will depend on who plays that day and who will win/lose that day. Thats basically what im hoping for

As for you, given that your a even lower rated player, youd need a even better winstreak (and against other current top100 players) to get in, and then same as the 50-200 will depend on decay.

Im mostly a 200-500 rated player in soloq.
Recently ive been more trykittenly on main and decnt builds so i was closer to 200.
Last few days i had real good streaks and ended up just around 100, with 89 being the last time i played (yesterday) .

I am planning to only play 1x game again, tuesday on normal afternoon hours – bassicaly going a all in and hoping for a win – which should put me -89 just hour or two before patch.

Is this the best chance i have?

The hambow comparison is gold:
1 month necro brokenly godly op
Next month necro nerfed to regular op, while hardcounter and beat evrything god – warrior is created.
THIS LASTED 1 YEAR, necro basically went extinct during this time.

Current state:
Warrior shaved to regular.
Celestial monkeys taking over the planet.
Necro has a class to hardcounter.

and no comment on this being half new abjured losing to half old abjured, AND nos being kinda the only such succesull necro , and also gotta mention the amazing heals and peels that his celestial ele/engie monkeys do to keep him alive.

As far as i saw, most choose a dungeon track to salvage the exotic weapons/armor into insignia and inscriptions.

Theyre worth over 2g , just be careful cz not all stat variants drop – ZERKER DOESNT.

Chance i heard is 40% with mystic and 60% with BLK kit for insignia.

Hello.
Even more than a 4v5 , a turret engie causes more harm with its boring and stupid gameplay – and for ALL OTHER 9x POEPLE.

They also infect higher tiers of pvp, with poeple who crate svanir at start of game. This is unfair to all others. I suggest:

  • 1-hour ban the first time you play it
  • 1-day ban every other time you play it
  • Perma-ban account the 5th time you play it.

Also asking the lesh prince to add a appropriate shameful UI for such players.

Hello.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows why (and maybe by how expected) is copper ore rising?

At first there was the initial rise for FeaturePack 2 , new crafting backpacks, more returning players, all that stuff…

But the price still keeps rising – and for me – the price of a connected market is not following it anymore.

Any ideas, am i missing a new important copper ore recipe?

Balance is currently great, all classes have at least 2 builds which are seen in tournys and actualy doing well with them.

  • Could next balance be more on sigils/runes?
    Air+fire , doom and battle sigil. Nightmare / balta / all might runes come to mind.
  • will you release newly gathered data on skyham ?
  • only complain: TURRETS

A good idea:

1) Multiply winning team score by X so it reaches 500.

2) Then multiply losing team score with same factor.

Example:
420 – 370 score at end.

1) 420 * ( 1,19.. ) = 500

2) 370 * ( 1,19.. ) = 440 “score that counts for losing team in the MMR table”

1) DS + Traited healing and regen and maybe outer source heals actualy healing you, be it the DS or you own hp bar

2) Starting match with NOT ZERO Proffesion mechanic .

Current most accepted sweet spot is 20% LF , could also be always 50% when out of combat and a bit reduced max, it would make min/max LF scenarios closer and easier to balance.

And they still may lose and get tired of it fast….

Short answer:
Yes. It is definetly more forgiving than some other zerkers, when you start playing it with 0 hours.

Medium answer:
Actualy full spectrals are not viable. The pull is unreliable and necro is dpendandt on some other offensive utilities and cannot take a full spectral bar, like ex. arcane or medi guard.

Long term and best answer:
Even with a great player , a coordinated team , 2x dedicated mercy runes rezz bot warriors,
it still loses to other meta comps.

They actualy enable glassier comps, at least some NA guys are trying it. So as long as theese runes make clunky stuff like power necro playable, its ok. Like the NA games are a bit funner to watch with theese huuuge teamwipe swings.

And downstate isnt broken , its actualy what makes gw2 unique. gw2 is downstate

But, ofc if we ever get to a immortal bunker meta with theese, then just right click and delete them from game.

1) DD ele is a MUST. you can have more/or staff cele, but basically every team uses at least one.
Its role is a little bit (debatable cz they do a lot) of everything…
-best 1v1 holder
-2v2 heal AND dmg support
-3v3+ can help decently and can move to next point of opportunity fast.

2) A support guard, mercy banner warrior , or i think i also saw mercy rune spirit ranger trying at this role. (or 2nd cele ele.)
- The guy who actualy stands on point
- Rezz/stomp : stabilty, mercy runes, elite
- Support, heals, cleanses for team, might….The guard is worth having when its 3v3+ longer teamfight.

You basically need 1x ele for a lv99 ditto as its a piece of puzzle that fits into any scenario. The 2nd slot depends on the rest of team, do you want to teamfight or have smaller 2v2s on all 3 points , are u bursty and mobile or tankier… The reason poeple love the current state is that its unpredictable in this part, 3-4x slots can be something that was weird before.

The only build where ive seen that can take no wurm , is the full full glass power necro by OPN from radioactive.
Its basicaly so glassy that the protection and bit more life force are worth more than a teleport, since anywhere youd go, youd still die in next second to condis, thief proting to you or youd be useless cz you couldnt pop out of line of sight.

Flesh wurm is must, sry.

If you’re choosing between SoV and nothing it will take longer to decide. .

Craft the crossing or any other weapon in mystic forge and turn 50 SP —> 50 gold.

Then until signet of bad becomes usefull, you will have farmed enough new skill points to buy it.

Terror. Even 46004 is better mostly.

You want to be in good 1v1s, where path of corrupt usualy helps against more current troublesome matchups and the extra fear on CC may help you score a decap.

The other thing you need to push for is 2v2 , preferably with a engie. Basicaly anyone who can provide burning will cause enemy 2v2 to simply melt.

Avoid big teamfights as necro is just to easy to gank. But if you do have to fight a 3v3+ , the fear on CC may help you do more harm and live longer, than a single target 4s burn.
Which is a projectile and can hit a clone, will 90% be cleansed by ele/guard, one of your engie/ele/warri/ranger even bunker guard may already apply burning.

Dhuumfire sux , only few players use it in 1v1 with signet of spite and pray the enemy dies of that combo.

The leaderboards have value, but only as a semi-rough estimate.

Also the number of games played is also worth considering. Its currently not factered and should not be main factor, but at end of day players should always be encouraged to play more.

Hope they surprise us someday with ladders and seasonal rewards based on ladder placement
