what the hell is the question?
this happens in wvw, i dont know of any mobs that immob in pve.
the question is about the ancient old bug of being immobilized while mid air – thus unable to start casting any skill.
Now, we all know this bug exists and sadly it happens pretty often.
The question is, i often felt i was immobed and couldnt cast a skill even while i was perfectly on ground, no jumping or whatever.

Im 99% positive the thing is happening on steady ground on like 30-50% of total times i get immobilized.
True / false / showed under carpet etc. ?
Felt power with wells nukes guards on offense and condi is safer on defense.
Mobility and having a real roamer on ur tail is still complete shutdown (thief, mesmer, burst ele, longbow ranger..)
If objectives stay stronger than getting kills (similiar to how old bunker meta it was holding nodes and decaps over kills) , then we have niches.
If it becomes similiar to wvw roaming it feels pretty bad with no sustain, why do necros have to have a target to heal on dagger while ele just sprays himself with healing powder behind a wall -.-
I always thought it shouldve went the route of ToL/ToG:
- *If you win 1 round – you get a reward (small ofc)
It can be something as small as 1g, currently gw2 is you can be ALWAYS 3/4rd best team and you get nothing.
Again, this is not greedily asking for free casual rewards – just a small reason to show up and play even though you know you cant beat everyone but the top2 teams.
Wurm looks like a 100% must, need to learn good spots to port through walls where only targeted ports can follow you.
Grouch recommended:
Bunker guard, shoutbot warri, staff ele, engie with bombs, regular mobilty and stealth for thief/mesmer and for necro conditions with epidemic
Corropt boon works great against any of those.
Maybe the new stabilty semi stunbreak trait + corruption recharge instead of PoC, since better more ranged damage than porting into danger
Traveler rune since no s.walk and seems better in long run
Maybe….maybe even the new spite GM for healing if theres many mobs.
For power ofc wells, maybe something closer to the wvw zerg builds, maybe soldier amulet- lets u kill mobs with the DS spike and is tanky enough that no thief will waste time ganking u or at least ull get to safety.
Grouch also said 2-1-2 splits seem good
This is actualy our buggest advantage as we shouldnt get 4-5 man cleaved like when u get caught in a big teamfight. Roamers constaly +1 will be even worse however
Minions seem bad
Any healing or support is also as bad as its now
pure spectral roamers maybe not bad, but not as good as thief roamer
Downstate is still the best minor u can take there and its actually pretty good.
Just look at it like it makes u win 5/10 1v1s instead of 4. Same for teamfights, the added danger that comes with whoever is near the necro is far better than the 1-5% more damage you will have from the lifeblasts (if they hit with all our slow cast problems)
Just makimg the thief back of instead of cleaving makes the rezz much more likely
I think i win 1 encounter every 1-2 games just cz of the downstate

For ranked and even more for tournament play, I dont think you can drop the second stunbreak. It is more of having 2,5x stunbreaks and a bit of breathing time or a safe stomp in a small 2v2 here and then.
A good played S.Walk is just great defense – and there simply isnt any utility that gives better defense or greater offense.
*I would only take spite signet when facing against a turret, as it just melts the nab, preventing him from stalling a decap too long.

It used to be:
-a condition is put on
-condition counter starts, pulses/checks every second
So in the long run, a 1,25 s burning would 75% of times deal only 1x tick and 25% of time u could 2x ticks.
Now it doesnt matter,
As all those 0,25s will deal 0,25 of damage. This is for all conditions -fear is only still bugged from old system
Idk perfectly, but i think some wvw zerg builds take for their 3rd well..and plague ofc but it shouldnt be an elite one trick pony.
For pvp,
-its ok, but we need more blinds, and reliable easy ones -like blind when enter DS.
-or
I personally wanted it the other way around – blinding when chilling an enemy, basically blinding ashes for necro.
Seems strong since every necro has ds2, chill mark is also decent CD and it would buff the focus5

Or if blind well gets a lower CD of 30 sec, then ill take it on a condi build with 1x stunreak and new FitG.

also note that sigil of bursting plain sucks in pvp and is questionable in wvw imo. take a swap sigil or frality for more cover condies
axe got some love in september and now viable power weapon.
Also recently with all the celestial cleansebots runing around, power necro seems better than condi even in real tournaments.
Can u change tittle to 7 seconds?
Or with actual builds 10s ?
Or with realistic rotation 12-15s ?

Its a very nice change , but dont worry its not dominant necros now cant be cced lol. When the stupid 0 LF problem is fixed it could make necro very balanced and fitting in most team comps rather always requiring a babysitter or 2.
Im really loving it on condi necro
06206 definetly worth it over greater marks/Reapers Protection.
Making it random per person would eliminate only half the reasons I dislike it.
I would be much happier if they just removed profession dailies entirely.
Arenanet is a very PR strict company, so expecting from them to fix a mistake fast is mostly just not gonna happen.
Its either a tweak to make stuff less bad, or they just hide the head in sand for a year and stuff is cooled down they silently remove it.
There will only be 9 engineer days next month so…
which is still more than the mathematical average.

For power builds i think the +50% crit chance is just too good.
For condi , there could be an option to switch it for greater marks or reapers protection and having an extra stunbreak -only thing is 0% lf at start -.-
For other weird stuff… seems like a realy nice improvement to the bunker necro for example

Are you kidding? So opinion is the guy at the top of the leaderboards with a grand total games played of 45 was the best solo player? Ok, well, you Sir. are one of the few that thought so.

Yes, that guy and a few other happened. But it was a (overall) rare exception. And a bit of permanent decay and tweaks would make the old ladder even accurater.
Current crapboards are vice versa, they 90% dont work – just take a look them.
MMR based leaderboard system failed horribly lets not go backwards.
Compared to this, everyone wants the old one since this one is so bad there realy isnt a point in fixing it.
And it was overall great – like ELO simply works, the only problems were:
-no real decay
-big volatility
The grindsboards dont have those problems – but they simp!y DONT work at all
To be honest, ive been hit by the rocket stun at the middle of stairs at legacy midpoint – completely hidden and without line of sight whatsoever.
The only “fix” i hate karl for.
Check out leeto he has a few wvw roaming videos. Fun to play but u can always just go for max lifeforce with spectrals and warhorn
I’ve been using rune of mesmer on a 6/4/0/0/4 build.
Trait for banshee’s wail and warhorn will have a 5+ s aoe daze with a 24s cooldown (the skillbar shows only 3s duration daze, but if you test it you’ll see it’s more than that).
i forgot exactly which combos of daze rune/sigil/trait work or dont work together, but im pretty sure the maximum is either 3,5s or 3,9s.
In general u can never go over 100% duration , exceptions being stuff like our scepter GM trait.
1) if ranks werent made meaningless
2) a working ladder , with MMR visible
With this the LFG could be prety useful – especialy in offpeak hours.
A location filter option could be fun.
Not against you but they need to reverse the ladder. As clearly shown in last months a grindable ladder is crap and makes poeple play less actualy.

Nightmare isnt as good in wvw as its in pvp so either choose perplexity for dmg or traveler for mobilty.
I do have a rabid perplex set with the rest dire and warhorn like choxie has, but i id recomend travler.
Wvw is mostly noobs and if you do find the occasional person who is worth a duel, you shouldnt be cheezing with perplex either. So my vote goes to traveler for lazymode swiftness and not being cheezy overkill.

Because playing as a DPS takes actual skill. Not like Power Necro, Ranger or Guardian with their infinite evades and instant cast offense and defense.

No it was a genuine question. We both interrupted each other’s heals. We both immob’d and welled and autoattacked. And yet the berserker necro died, and the celestial necro lived with half HP and half life force.
If the damage from celestial is strong enough to take down a berserker necro, doesn’t that show that the build can pull its own weight? Necro may not utilize celestial stats to 100% efficiency but it’s balanced enough to succeed in situations that a berserker necro cannot.

Correct, you boht started with full DS, interupted and hit each other eaualy. Its a well know fact that tanky specs have more EHP (effective health pool) – a general rule of thumb u can check on build creators:
- for +1% added dmg you saccrifice -2% EHP
Now all player skill, tiredness, lag, horoscope issues aside:
You simply dont deal “enough” damage on anything not zerker 1v1, yet alone a cele monkey or more of them healing each other in 3v3…..and the survivabilrt gain is only pure stat wise – no invul defenses and blind/block+cc is still a shutdown to necro.
So it simply works better to go full ham, try to live with the few dodges and simply kill them faster than go for a inevitably lost fight.

The score system is only good to make jokes about and delude new players.
Apparently the jokes are soo good that it hasnt been yet removed (or drasticaly improved which isnt worth time).
Intended change that they announced when they nerfed the “life force runs out, but if u get 10% lf before next 10s you can already jump back into DS” thing.
Sucks but now we can hope and focus on making the thing , all other traits and stuff actualy heal us in DS, so keep spamming puppy eyes if you see a red post
While im all for fixing bugs, i just wanted to note the thing is prety precise compared to the lightning whip or mesmer gs auto, and basicaly useless unless a still sitting target golem pve scenario.
So dont rush and fix a few other more critical bugs first please
Also necro warhorn#4 can cancel save half a second and warrior also gets a lot more out of warhorn canceling since its spamable on lower CD
So far it doesnt look any addjustments were made??
And if they were, its still the grinding system with points.
Who is better:
- Man United, playing at top tier Champions league, 70/100 win/games
- Random 13 year olds, playing at park EVERYDAY, 500/1000 win/games played

First, i know – we all hate the spirittrolhamyard trio. But theres strong points you should keep in mind:
a) its unranked only. Its meant to go there with a “testing” build and sometimes you just gotta hold it through. Courtyard is also a fast match, the que wait is more long and boring.
b) Its actualy pure and best democracy this way. With just a boring majority wins everytime, we would have 100% legacy games even when it was a very close 4/6 vote on like forest vs legacy.
Skyham actualy only gets 4% of votes considering 6 maps 16.6% is if they were equal.
Its actualy not a buff and damage “IN THE LONG RUN” remains the same. Condies tick every full second – starting from the time of first applied condi.
Meaning on a lets say 3.35s burn:
-Before u always got 3x ticks and had a 35% chance to get 4th tick
-Now u will always get 3.35x worth of damage
It is completely equal, just making it consistent. A nice change.
As far as I understand it, this will simply normalize damage. Yes sometimes you got that extra tick on a 1.5 sec condi because it coincided with the tick checks, but others you’d miss the tick.
So rather than a theoretical 50/50 chance if you got that extra tick, it will now normalize to half a condi tick every time.
Yea, instead of
- (100 + 0 ) + (100 + 100) = 300 you will now always get
- (150) + (150) = 300
i jumped a bit too early when reading it

Big buff especially in PVP where, you often had to spend a rune/sigil just to get that extra tick, when u were 5% short.

I just realized it isnt a buff. it doesnt increase your damage whatsoever.(for everything but the first condition aka 99.9% of all stuff) .
Still a nice change to make stuff more reliable and consistent.

Guys u missed the best part about it:
Its “press 1 for MLG” like all our power skills.
Bunker support necro safestomping every 7s was too much for meta to handle.
Justin locked it , he said he got enough posts for now.
If it helps finding the problem , hiding the UI makes the game smooth again as it should be.
FPS dropped from solid 40 to 20. (iMac 2011 with AMD graphics)
Lower resolution helps a bit, the new camera collision should be disabled (all the way left).

Hiding the UI does infact make the game super smooth again, enabling it again and youre back to slow frames. Ping seems normal, we all 5 had around 100, its just framerate is super low.
Also pressing “N” to show pvp score window freezes/drops frames to 3 for a second.
