Hey, why don’t you point out to anet that there were NO necros in the tournament, and perhaps then point out that their beloved top 5 classes are frequently played for the same reasons over and over and over again.
Afaik,
-no necro in final teams (leeto didnt play for bigD)
-highest place necro was forsaker with Rotate to procreate , 8-16th spot.
It is pretty much 0x necro and 2x warri/engie , maybe 1x ele and zerker thief/guard/mes mixed in for flavor.
Also ZERO rangers too.
Would be nice to see total stats from 100+ teams or 500 poeple as that would be a really nice bigger picture of the community.
Cant wait for NA ToL to see one.

Thief must play 606060 panic+exe+all the shadow arts bull
Necro anything that gives him a role
Thief must lose 9/10 or necro is non viable
2) necro vs chrono or power ranger
Necro must start with 0 lf, not demanding wins just wanna see how good it deals with ranged pressure – can it stick on something with all the new chills or insta die
3) thief vs chrono mes
Same shadowregencleansebull thief , too see how much it hard counters mesmer. Problem is the real counter is in teamfight not in 1v1, but still wanna see those 2 juke it out
3) dragonhunter vs anything
Can be new shoutbot 2.0 , too see if that thing is even killable with
1x cleanse /5s extra
1x passive shout stunbreak extra
1000 armor extra or endure pain
4) any condi build if you dream theyll be viable with shoutbows around

Considering theyre doing dragonhunter pvp – with builds the comunity speculated on will be good,
I think it would be nice to see reaper pvp, too see how much its actualy worth.
- xxxxxx necro vs 606060 thief (panic + exe + shadow arts bull + new -50% dmg stealthed)

- xxxxxx necro vs mesmer (can be chrono interupt or 1 line defensive if its worth it)
Basically its needs to kill the teamsupport bunker of shoutbot , and ofc not losing to the most mobile zerkers – whats the point of slow fortress if it loses to fast fly ?

They showed a 3x gravedigger in the pve demo segment, whole thing took 6s which alligns with 1,25s cast and 0,75s aftercast from the spin.
The question im asking for anyone good with the modifiers and numbers:
-is it more dps that autos
-is it good dps , lets say compared to our dagger outoatack or 3x heartseeker spam under 50% but not under 25%.
It is commonly agreed that good shoutbot > good dd ele. its normal that u lose.
I dont think im wrong by saying – thank you for taking the feedback and reworking blood magic.
While many vere concerned, since the initial necro trait changes were plain lackluster, the new DS and traits are indeed on mesmer level of awesome.

Just thought of a tip you could pass on to them on how to do good scaling defense/offense:
Instead of weak 1x, 2x – 5x
Do it base 3x + 1x + 1x ….
Like the unblock shout – 4s base , then +1s for each hit
Such aproach limits min/max scenarios, so balancing is easier and a skill isnt useless 1v1
Big thank you to the forum specialist as i think they even mentioned the feedback they recieved from you and it is certainly showing in the blood siphons (otherwise it wouldve just been revealed at the 4h stream)
Short now, longer one time later:
New DS – AMAZING
Siphons – surprisingly 2nd best thing
New traits – great, on high level with others, synergie
Greatsword – slow, no defense against anything ranged, but maybe new DS and stronger melee pressure will be worth it
Shouts – all terrible beside maybe elite.
The casts are regular 3/4s necro level, which is a total troll.
Small damage, compared to 2k heal shouts
Long CDs
The effects are nothing special and weak. Surprisingly the jagged horror one shows most potential
Just wanted to get shouts out of the way, more feedback on the awesome stuff tomorrow
The main reason for mainhand dagger is offhand dagger
Dont forget about trait blind = chill = vuln.
I know with shoutbot 2.0 condies wont exist, but its worth a try as a regular cover condi + we dont need to use frality sigil anymore.
Pvp – race absolutely has no meaning , beside your own cosmetic joy.
Enemies can have standard models on, and being bigger has no impact on your hitbox.

In the current Meta with stealth-openers and tons of immob and stuns that are hard to avoid, he could have to wind-up his sword for multiple seconds and it still would easily hit. It’s all about if the dps that follows is worth it.

Its great to see stuff like scaling with enemys – while other still get passive natural AOE but ok…..
Why continue with the slow cast mentality - it has no place in pvp?

What if there are 5 skills and only AA is good, or what if it is a Dark Guardian transform and you only get a choice of 3 different AA skills with the others and utilities locked out?
then it will fit nicely into current staff1+dagger1+ds1+lich1+downstate1 rotation.
I also very dislike the idea of air+fire being stronger in every way over force+accuracy.
Force you NEED to land your 10k burst, to make it 11k.
Air+fire you need to land autoatack.

probably the patch that also made the 10s CD absolute, cancelling the run out → burst gain LF → enter DS again

Its true, ALL we mostly take are CD reductions for the utilities we already decided to take or just weapon improvements for like marks.
It really looks like its why the new trait system looks so meh on necro, while thief will need to be shaved with Thors nerfhammer since its 5x great GM traits in one package.

- reve cant get shouts cz its 6x skills
- necro morale is dead, they probably wanna make up for it by announcing some juice for us
- we lack insta casts and support (though they might be more debuff oriented)
- shouts + GS seems good for melee
- it doesnt fit on other classes
Engie pull is not a projectile, and with the unblock its is the most reliable pull ingame which seems to work more than 9/10 times.
The grasp and thief scorpion wire are sadly both projectiles.
Above ~600 range any strafing or dodge/leap or even jumps makes it miscalculate and fly off.
Also, any 1pixel big rock can obstruct it or stop the pulling of target – it is why jumping after firing helps it a bit.

Random blind/block.
Body block by pet/clone
And worst is the 0% lf if it fails. Overall i dont think it hits 5/10
Idk, it seems the spread of trait favors to more of the current builds than what youre suggesting.

its a bug that happens to all pulls, its just that the engie one is by faaaar the most reliable one.
OK i have 2 questions, both involving the optional substitute.
1st, how does prizing work out if the substitute is used? (does the sub and/or person being substituted get prizes)
2nde, Does your team get points for seeding if you play in a tournament with 3 of your starting list and your sub totaling to 4 members from your roster competing as a team?Ill confirm the new prizing structure with Josh Davis but Im under the impression the sub will get a prize so long as he/she plays a round.

Does it have to be “the same” 3+1 members from the main roster, or is it “as long as 4 poeple from main+sub roster are playing”, the team is considered a unity?
Basicaly from our 5+1 players, can each week 1 of us have IRL break, while the other 3+1 grab a pug ?

- No real core / QoL improvements like
- Healing in DS – traits working AGAISNT OWN mechaninic
- 0% DS at start
- ALL healing numbers are still low, should be 2,3-5x higher
Medium disapoint
- HUGE CLEANSE BUFF to most others – shoutbow/thief will extinct condis
- Devs bored “ugh, same, still bad, next please” – no vision or sense of direction
- No finisher
small disapoint
- Long ICDs
- No weapon improvement
- Nothing , still terrible in PVE – greatsword must now save both pve&pvp

We get more damage. (albeit from non existent spite minors but ok)
BUT:
It doesnt seem broken in any direction. Defensive utiltys and finally adressing the 0% LF problem and were good to go.
Still no bunker necro, sry.

Here is Justin (ODell) , the wizard who programs your bad loot & and matchmaking. He can also cast a curse on you which does +400 ping.
Another question I’d like to ask;
You say the minor traits are “always equipped”, does that mean they are always on?Meaning you don’t have to select them to have them be active?
Kinda yes.
You can curently decide how deep you want to into a trait line, example 64400 build…Now with new system you wont chose to spend points – but you will choose 3 full traitline out of 5+1 total traitlines…. btw trait line is basically renamed into specialization.
So new will be just 66600 , 60606 ,06606 builds basically….or rather 00066+6 since “elite specialization” means each class can chose a new 6th traitline, which will have all new stuff and allowing you a new weapon.
I’d like to propose the idea of removing foods from wvw instead

rage is also a decent sigil on the dagger mainhand set, especially if youre using focus which is pretty yolo.

I think ALL AI builds “should” be good 1v1 builds but overall only effective low/medium levels to serve as training for new players.
Even if this change completely shuts turrets away from any 2v2+ , I still think its a great change that needs to happen.
It will be like minion necro – very good in 1v1 , but not for teamfights or high tourny tier.

Its not your fault if youre beginner and dont know how good/bad each skill scales, but you picked most of the terrible stuff necro has to offer. Theres no role or purpose , the only thing it probably does is beat other zerker amu beginner in hotjoin due to cele>zerker having more sustain.
Start from scratch or check a metabattle build on modify it.
I remember a dev post where it said the least popular map gets 4% of votes.
1/6 of 100% = 16,6%
Actually Anet nerfed zerker amulet with the introdution of ferocity
On the contrary – they buffed zerker amulet and nerfed the crit.dmg/ferocity trait line.
Before the line gave 30 and zerker 15+5=20 , now zerker gives 30 and the traits 20% crit dmg.
You can also look at as a bit of a nerf to non zerker amulets like barbarian.
So mostly zerker is must, but theres more freedom with traits.
