PvP duel server has a rule of 20%.
Its also the normal amount at the start of serious match, as 3 minions is pushing your luck with lag. and personaly, anything above 50% is my advantage.
However, for wvw id consider 50% to be the balance sweet spot:
1) higher stats , higher dmg
2) no objects, staff#1 multihits , pets dying to give you LF during fight
3) most time you encounter a necro roaming is with 100% LF anyway, due to criters at start

And yes, for the 1000x time, remove / fix wall stacking and other shananigans.
PvE would get actual respect that way.

Thief is OP in real coordinated teamQ, or top soloQ where all superpugs know what theyre doing. If youre a “bad” thief you may feel weak, but thats a l2p issue. But why learn your class, when you know theres a “black thiefy wall” upcoming, which you will never pass?
1) There is NO other counter than also play thief.
Never was and never….maybe….. but the mobility is just worth too much to give up strategically.
2) S/D evade is actualy good in most 1v1 matchups.
A mobile fortress? you get the idea how broken it sounds
3) Initiative = No CDs .

I wont lie I didnt like the map the first 3 days. I actualy loved killing poeple with knockbacks.
But the second I hit it in tournys, when i was trying to win and not be on “headless hotjoin killspree mode”, it became very frustrating.
And its getting worse and worse the more you play it.
Its just that their “test group” is probably bad and new players or themselves which is casual 50hr playtime or rank13 in pvp (not personal offence )

Rename character slots to “l33t asura alt slots” and give them to anyone who ever enetered a tourny.

Rangers were always the useless boring 1v1 BM pointholder or I dont ever wanna remeber the zoo. I find it always better to have viable zerker builds than bunkers who kill u with evade spam and passive damage.

Proffesion stacking has always been worse that the ideal dream team (some exceptions for tanky alrounders like ele and warior).
Its actualy pretty common knowledge to switch char if you have 2x thieves, like 2x bunker guards.Theyre very specialized roles and simply cancel each other out

The +4% from rock dog is worth waay less than the 7-10k deathlogs the birds AND rock dog SHOULD REWARD MORE since you actualy need to land the damage youself, not passive helper.

Best damage modifiers by far, but that means thiefs only role is dmg, no supportive effects.
Most others: +3 to 5% dmg overall
Necro 25 Spite – Siphoned Power- useless and counter productive.
Id say its:

good for 5% of the “clutch 1v1s”
0.03 * 0.05 = 0.0015 = +0.15% Damage increse…………………. IF you hit (with long cast times and bad mechanics on necro), IN WHICH CASE the you already hit target with a 2-4k lifeblast you already win. IF NOT youre dead cz its a low 25% hp clutch fight remember? and in all others “normal” fights, the gradnmaster minor does NOTHING.
Final verdict:
+0% dmg
BAlance it to something constant, 5% constant dmg wont be too strong on power necros, cz its a hit or miss style anyway, with the miss option entirely on the hands of skilled enemys.

Idk why you would interpret that way, as it simply sounds stupid, like “the runes gets its bonus damage halved.” that tells you nothing, as in this case, the rune still gives power main stat, a great might uptime, which deals far more condi dmg, and like you said, when you get hit by a bit hit, it basicaly over already. so its better to tell what end results will look like

You do realize that the nerf from 7% to 5% more damage is something arround a 28,5% nerf and you can’t even compare that to the 8% healing signet nerf?

The endure pain is basicaly a 4s mistform/shrink elixer, which trades the invul against CC for +1sec duration and not locking user out of using skills, because its a stance.
Some dont even use it , because soldier amu+ healing signet are in a abviously good fine spot for the next year.
Also very dissapointed rushing through necro quick as possible as always, but if the stuff was good id have no problem. But it was just general philosophy talk, that should been done 2 years before not after launch.

Im mostly annoyed with the actual game mechanics: no cleave or Point-blank AoEs and only 1-instant abilty.
With all the cast times, animation delays, travel times, target requirements against all instant or -0.5s max abilities on enemys, i feel like a fortune teller.
Thief is neither buffed or nerfed, we’re still the same as we were before the big patch. The problem is the power creep the April 15th patch introduced. The fire/air sigils and strength runes allows otherwise low damage, bunker specs to now build up enough might or get sigil procs to compensate the otherwise lost damage.
Nerfing thieves is the wrong way to do it, you’re just gonna end up damaging a class for no reason.
Nerfing strenght runes and sigils is gonna force thieves to go back to DA or CS if they want damage, thus giving up Acrobatics or Trickery.

I know a lot is not just 333333 but shorter animation from 3-1 or dodge-1 , but those are harder for them to fix than number tweaks (cough healsig 10months cough)

Condi should be aoe but not as strong dmg as engie, but it should have 1v1 and team TRANSFERS. Power necro should be more 1v1 centered with debufs/SIPHONS/LEECH/life force enemy to death. maybe buff siphons and cap them at 1x target?
W) NO BURST and MOBILITY
K) BURST by others
Thief
S) BURST and MOBILITY.
W) BURST when caught off cooldowns
K) SUSTAINED LONGER fights
Warior
S) MELEE DAMAGE and CC , “MAN MODE” aka Stances

Disclaimer: i play necro,thief,ele,warr in that order. I was never good, more badish, at thief, but when trickery came i started doing decent. I also was never able to play s/d properly and even before needed the 15init trait.

Temple. losing around 450-470. win altar, mid is their with temafight and bunker there, our thief 1v2 holding temple. So we need to hold the 2-1 cap, no deaths, and the guy i stomped will respawn and rush their home soon.
I ( necro) rush to far/temple, our thief just goes down, d/d ele and hambot warior stomping. now heres where the magic hapens:
- staff#5 interupt
- rezz a bit
- warhorn #4 interupt again
- rezz again
- warior stabilty → corrupt
-DS rezz → ds#3 interupt ele while finaly bringing thief up
We then win the 2v2 while holding point, thus winning the game by 5 or 10 points.
Before it was problem that when it found 10x players, it put nr.1-5 on one team and nr.6-10 on other team (in tearms of MMR rank aka skill). So it was esentialy good vs. bad team.
Now it evenly shufles them around. What class or build or whatever else, the system doesnt count, so things like 5x thieves vs dream team hambot+guard are just a unlucky circumstance.
It is entirely a meta problem, of some classes/build jut being better, not the MMR system.

Never thought of it, but thats a pretty good use for the blood grandmaster. It is a epic fail at the support role Anet designed it, but in zergs and gvg it may be the key to perma deathshroud.
Its my assumption, but it may work very well with the -condi duration if it gets reduced twice, 1st when aplied to your ally and then again when you pull it. 100% – 65% = 35% and then another 35% – 65% of 35 (22.75) = 12,25%
If its so its basicaly a free 5% LF every 3s.
For pvp power necro its dager > scepter > axe. imo axe isnt even viable
For wvw though you should definetly stick with axe. In zergs youll be spaming piercing ds#1 most time, but when thats not available, the axe#2 is good and #3 very good. +u can trait for a perma 10% dmg boost.
And in small scale axe is still better for range. I only prefer dagger for solo roaming cz ill be up against thieves 99% of time.
you would need to take a much bigger sample to get a good perspective. unless youve invested time learning other classes , youll probably be biased.
+most ppl watching arent the lower casual tier and theres nothing more annoying and hate producing than repeating to some1 for the 100th time how to counter like a MM necro or PU mesmer…

Gramaticaly correct would be “hambotting” hence you should refer to all wariors as “hambots”, like many of us already do.
If you’re running with either sword OH or a shield, make sure to pack “Reflect Missiles” trait. Three-four Lich’s reflected attacks can easily cause the Necro to panic. Too bad if he’s better than typical dropwell and uses something besides #1.
But in general, if you can’t strip his stability and CC him, LoS him or try to stay at range, applying conditions.
Player in Lich cannot cleanse conditions alone (unless he pre-casts Well of Power) so any better condition presure should force him out of Lich.
the lich #5 is a targetable aoe full condi cleanse + full boon rip + some dmg. takes 1,5-2s to cast though, and CD of 30s so you can only use it once

If he is forced to use his 180s CD elite in a 1v1 with you, then youre already won, since the point of a power necro is to have theyre whole team scared for a full wipe, not to win 1x 1v1 every 180s. And then lose 2x until elite is back
And heres how you can add some “skill” to youre skill-less condi warior disease: walk left-right left right to cause the projectiles to miss from range, walk and immbilize lich from behind if melee.
If its a teamfight, burst him down ASAP. If youre low, run behind an object, wait 5s for him to retarget another player, burst him down again. If you have a necro/thief/mesmer who can strip his stability, its over for him.
