i still dont know if i would take it for 30pts
Id prefer a blast finisher on dager#5 weakening shroud, as the other weapons would still suck anyway and combined with the weakening shroud trait, it would disturb the natural flow of combat

ive only played the bunker build tenderly suggested on but of corpse (ep.31 i think).
I know this one is not a main bunker, its a boon stripper. but if youre wearing cleric, i find dagger > axe. Its 1 aoe boonstrip + vuln + some unreliable life force vs. best LF gain possible , a good ranged heal and ofc the immob for spikes. Just theorycrafting since you said its lacking 1v1 potential and dagger is better at it.
Offtopic, did anyone do the testing yet for path of corruption priority list?

Yup forsaker and xerrex is where i study my necrology from. (and leeto but hes not a streamer).
The best thing about xerrex is hes a multiclass, so you can ask him in chat about pretty much everything, and you got all the existing builds in one place, just to check what youre up against.
1) that build not longer exists, not to mention dhuumfire in wvw was left in its intact broken 4s base state
2) food
3) fights against wvw have lower credibility. I didnt make this up, but I can 100% confirm it from my experience.
4) again, look at point 3. the enemys arent terribad, but nowhere near good. id give them a average. given all that, its only 1v2 , hes using a teamspread utilty which is useles in 1v1, hes ofc a better player……….. and hes still barely winning…just finished watching, the enemys are bad
5) wvw necros have almost always 100% LF at start. totaly OP, the duel servers have 20% as standard and anything beyond 50% is a field advantage for necro
6) no1 cares about wvw small scale balance. conditanks (btw do we even know name of idiot who made up DIRE ? ) , GS + HealSig runaway wariors, PU mesmers and ofc Shadow arts thief are examples of what “open field combat” is like
7) now forget all the previous points if u want. ALL the complains are based around the gamemode they said they balance the game – PvP.
And who will play stuff if low/mid tier is ok, but you know you have no future in higher tier tourneys?
The necro is just too slow for coordinated team rotations, and is a teamfighter, who dies 1st in teamfights. Damage is actualy ok, but we should trade back the nerfed bleeds for the too strong nightmare runes.

dont corrupt a silly regen boon. save it for only stabilty or only against thief/engie who do 4+ boons on a longer CD when u know u can burst them down.
spam scepter #1, it wil poison and keep the signet at slightly OP level.
DS#2 also use on CD , its bleeds and chill for longer CDs for him.
also stay in scepter just for bleeds stacing with DS3+2(+5) bursts when goos ammount of bleeds. go into stafffear for the kill
hope the devs read&acknowledge this, especialy now that everyone (2-4k ) ppl saw whats currently going with PvP.
1) Mobility.
a) Id love flesh wurms range increased to that of thief shadow trap. A necro-selfish, 1-person only portal, which
-can be destroyed, then go for backcap
-CANT TRAVEL BACK . you can set a 2v1 or unfavorable matchup trap
-at least the necro is out of teamfight and needs to walk back
b) 1x small leap added to like or DS#2 (note: if used defensively it wont hit and convert 2 boons)
c) 1x leap taken away from thief. thief is my absolute 2nd. The problem i see is not him getting decap, but having enough of his CDs/initiative left for a escape AND instagib when returning to teamifght. Not necro related, but had to mention the apex predator
2) Downed state
3x port , 2x aoe CC , 3x single target CC. Yes were in the worst 3 group, but other than a way to skilfuly clear single blinds (not the field) would be enough.
3) Bad sustain.
a) healing in DS. like actual heals from allies and my own regen boon. percentage unknown
b)buff siphons, in 2v2 , add the 5% condiheal to them. Switch GM. heal tree gets condiheal, power tree gets the well trait (extra tick for wells, the current GM is a joke)
c) “Always focus the necro”. its such effective strategy even hotjoiners learned it. If we manage to not get the red-circle on head even if were full and other target is lower hp, then i think we wont need the unbalancable sustain we would need to face-tank damage from 5x players.
4) I dont see fear-stacking as a problem, but the nightmare fear proc is just….. a total 1v1 on-trick pony. Absolutely lower to 1s. then maybe:
-lower CD or make it individual for each person hitting u if posible?
-give enough power to necro tam aybe take other runes to compliment problems. speed runes are a great start with mobility+vitalty
5) My own points
a) corrupt boon prioritize stabilty as #5 boon. lower CD boon removals wont be able to take it, but corrupt SHOULD
b) epidemic useless in 1v1.

The game has enough snowball mechanics as it is, bleeding/trolling ppl in downed state after fight is already over just adds to much. imo it shouldnt be the best viable tactic, maybe
-normal 15s respawn if u stomp
-reduced 5-10s respawn if you get bleeded out ?
2- point strategies: you can slowly win the teamfight (attrition yay), but you are the easiest to down and as such wil always be focused 1st….. and top tourny teams 2-points is not enough
3- point strategies: simple, lowest mobilty and 0 escapes = no rotations
The only role of a necro is a condition class that can pressure and kill bunker guardian, or wining 1v1s against other condi clases (due to condi transfers). This and some hardcounters are the reason. im happy the condispam is losing, but im hoping for a more fluid power/hybrid necro which could compete like against a celestial d/d ele.
If by any chance a dev reads this, just sayin that full zerker necros rather go with scepter in tpvp. just sayin…
In order of priority:
1) Trading post – no reliable fix besides random luck. Most of all it is part of game, NOT WORKING AT ALL. I have no problem with worse performance, but this is 0 performance
2) PvP crashes, skill lag- dont know if its mac or your pvp servers problem, just keep in mind, the game MUST be playable at PVP level to be viable on mac
3) windowed 1680×1050 resolution is verticaly too big. It doesnt bother any pvp, just a few pixels hiding the bottom levleling bar. Not big problem, but an email to Apple to finaly hide or completely remove their 10years outdated status bar would be aprieciated
4) thx for work, 2011 iMac and im doing fine in PvP. Maybe a tone down of particle effects would all getting less 1fps spikes
5) its ok, but dont let new stuff make things worse
im pretty sure ppl tried a unicorn thief build with shamans and the bleeds at least once

Great games, even of scores werent as tight, the games were amazing and full of comebacks.

I find it still the best necro support bunker (as not minions), in teamfights youll take some time to get downed but youll kepp the hp of teammates at full so they should rezz you. in the long run you can cap the point while fighting or outsustain them.
The only problem is if they make a good 3-point and spread you out and mesmers as they take away the stability. I never lasted more than 20s against misha

The passive is still too strong, and most of all, its a PASSIVE. its too easy to back off for or line of sight for 10seconds and regain half of the biggest and tankiest hp bar in game.
After that is fixed, i totaly support a reduced 3/4s cast and good effect active.
full glass with 2x will lose unless the wariors keyboard breaks and he cant walk out. in other words you lose to anyone not kittened. then again you shouldnt be wining 1v1 s as a aoe team burst spec..
you can try leetos d/d builds. it can work if you are good. like you still lose to a equal good warior, but at least you got a chance against the worse ones. or maybe like I do, get the spectral pull and try going for a fast decap then surving untill help arrives.
To sum it up, warior is still warior.
Now now…remove PU and you remove mesmers from pvp all together. Since that is the only viable thing to play now with the phantas “fix”
PU has never been viable in conquest.
Nor will it ever be. It’s so funny seeing PU mesmers maximizing their stealth when really it’s just costing them points.

flesh wurm is actualy our lowest CD stunbreak. not to meantion its is only 1 which can gives 100% dmg avoidance.
dont diss it, its actualy better than any of spectrals, requires no traits, only reason is s.walk sometimes proves better for swiftness, just cz necro is slow and cant afford speed runes anymore
You should drop the last 10 points in blood and make 0/25/25/20/0 (asciis wvw template). the siphons are just not worth it, youll get more bang for the buck that way
axe is better in wvw. the retaliation and boonstrip are nice and youll do more dmg. scepter is great for tpvp fullzerker necro who cant afford to anywhere near a point, but with the cleanses axe will give u more dmg and somewhat reliable life-force

the minions wont walk to target and explode like shatter clones. instead atack yourtarget, minions wil walk to it and start atacking, and when theyre low or u feel/need a burst of dmg, blow them up.
LoS = line of sight . it means no object can be between you and target, like you cant fire arrows through wall
Facing = looking in that direction. like you cant fire arrows backwards, even if theres nothing between you and guy following you. note that each skill has its own “cone” in front which it need to hit
You can only place targetable aoes behind you, like staff marks and dagger#5.
fear ds#3 and epidemic need line of sight but not facing.
DS#4and #5 are point-blank AoE, which hit anything in the radius around u, with or without target
Dagger#2 needs a target and facing to start chanel, but the chanel wont break if u lose facing, aka walk behind. The axe#2 chanel does however break if target is not in front of u
All other skills, you can start cast with target but without in range or facing, but at end when skill hits, you must be in range and looking to him. example dagger#3. you target some1 when youre at 900, start casting 1s, and you ust need to get into 600 at end or skill will miss.

Unlike thief, necro has ALL skills set to prioritize stability LAST. Yea its annoying, stabilty could be #5th so only CB would wipe it but other weak boon strips not, u thats another story.
I find the new curses GM trait, 2 boon corrupt on ds#2 amazing. It is totaly worth over dumbfire and the 15% DS recharge trait. As others sad, chill them as much as possible, it messes with their rotations and wait for a 5+ bleeds stack + fear (+corrupt if stabilty and only 5 total boons)
If they run “diamond skill” , step offpoint, /bow and ask him to both send report to Anet for bad balance and design.
Id love a d/d celestial, i really would. but problem i get is the battle swap thing. Id love it so much if DS was a weapon swap cz you dont wanna always go into staff every 10s as its 10s of bad power and meh condi….. though about even switching staff out but then you the fear (also good condi dmg) and its overall best utility
Or if ds#1 was like underwater, 2x less dmg but 2x more speed so you can stack might better.

you not rellying on 1 extreme to win. like to overload some1 with condis, or burst him with 3x lich hits, while being totaly vulnerable in other aspects

bak to topic, dager/dager + DS is really enough a hybrid necro needs, as the staff set is only for defense and team utility.
Battle sigils works best on ele and engie cz the swap happen automaticaly.
On necro and even more on thief you often dont need to switch every 10s as it will hurt you more so. And blood is power is simply too clumsy to use in battle and wastes a slot that has to be reserved for stunbreaks.
Given they already gave us the ds#5 just so it fits more with the 5-button weapon set, and it also has a same 10s cooldown, it would be great if it were considered a weapon set, to make use of might sigils and runes.
I already tried that trait loadout in PvP and due to Crit damage..I’m sorry…Ferocity being lower and the fact that most condi builds are built tough you’ll end up getting kited at soon as Zerker Stance ends. I’ve hit a full Bull’s Charge + 100b followed by a Evis that crit on a Necro and it didn’t even get rid of DS.
Im a necro, got 2x 9k eviscarate deathlogs (dont know why its seperate, it was 4x hits each time around 5k). you have 20s of “man-mode” to kill me or anyone. Of thats not enough to get him low, then im sorry, try practicing more. I hate fecorolines on any class, dont take it personal, warior is my 3rd. lets just keep it at pure math:
That spec actualy got buffed. to all ppl saying “crit dmg got nerfed in pvp”.. NO. ZERKER IS NOW MORE VIABLE THAN EVER.
Why? Before it was 15%+5% from zerker amulet and 30% crit dmg from traitline.
Now its 30% crit dmg from zerker and 20% from trailine.
Youre actualy getting more out of your zerker amulet, allowing you to maybe spend some defensive traits without losing much crit dmg, or compensate with runes or just power. If not, full zerker is still exactly the same +50% crit dmg
P.S. Yes baltazar engie burning is overpowered, yes nightmare proc in a 1v1 is too.

if its a guild team then its probably:
-1 necro main
- 1-2 necro alts
- 2-3 first time necros

i have a celestial necro ready but this aint PVE where u spam ds#1 and live hapily ever after.
You need to play the mobilty game with good rotations, you sad youre with a group so i hope youre all on ts chat.
1) playing sides is usualy better, they slower at runing through whole map, +theyll usualy keep 1 afk on mid
2) go for trebuchet and other objectiv. again theyre slow so whenever they ned to run theyre losing. only diference is here send a warior to their treb
3) go 2v1 on a necro, as hell die faster than they can win a 3v4.
4) if youre losing a teamfight, 2-3-4 of you should abandon it and rush other point, leaving 1 to die and waste as much time as possible (plague necro) on a 1v3 decaped point
5) Thief. should be watching and counting players&postions, calling the next move. Be aside from teamfight, only going in for the -50% kill . should spam steal fear on CD. Also only go for decaps, let them waste time walking back. Remember holding 2-1 or 1-0 nodes is same advantage
6) dont all stand on point, kite the minions or youll die. and even if killthe minions youll die from posion explosions.
7) Rezz/stomp need to work. nuff said, get some stabilty and be coordinated. good luck

the mesmer reflect CC trait could be a thing as it is know to bug and 1shot eles shocking aura
i always wanted them switched, but only for the speed, 50% less cast, 50% less dmg per hit. So you actualy hit some1 after 5s of ranged autoatacking
