If a full set of say 8 warriors can just blow through it , it indicates that the games mechanics are not being fully utilized.

I have to say i strongly disagree with this. If a full set of berserker warriors, all with the same weapons can blast trough it, then yes. However if you have allot of different specs and playstyles of the warrior in your group. Then 8 warriors should be just fine.

You have to have different roles, classes are flavour, but the role they fill should be important.

I would consider classes to be more than flavor.
I said mechanically, and what I mean by that is, there may be a portion of the fight that requires reflects (like arah but say damageable by normal means), Water fields may be required for another section, invisibility for a section where you have to stealth through and agro results in insta-kill, A crowd control fight where you have to prevent several enemies from reaching a location through soft CC.

Even 8 different spec’d warriors would feel too low diversity wise.

I don’t mean to say it has to be optimal, just possible. If not you just impose certain classes upon the group.

If different roles are not required you never get the feeling you really make a change. It’s more the the ‘just everybody DPS the hell out of it’.

That is what i said… Dear lord people read, i said before 8 warriors should be able to complete it, but not 8 berserkers. Warrior can fill allot of different roles. I explained that your class shouldn’t matter that much, but your role should. and in role i mean wether you are more tanky, dps heavy, or support based.

Guild Wars 2 HoT Release Date? [merged]

Well ACTIVISION release COD every year, Ubisoft release Assassin’s Creed every year.

Hahaha, this is to funny.
The first thing being funny is that you think just because a giant company releases 1 a year that they are made by the same team and only worked on for a year.
The second thing being funny is that both are singleplayer and in no way resemble development of an mmo, like balancing skills alone is probally more work then developping another cod clone.
And finally, the most hilarious thing, you just named 2 games who had multiple broken releases, some even making both single or multiplayer unplayable for a good ammount of time. Basicly the major release in history has to be the french revolution AC.

So honestly, don’t start.

I went into TA this week with a party of five. We didn’t get past the wurms in the beginning after three tries. Two people left the party and with those people replaced, we beat the wurms in no time flat.

Those two people, one of whom was new, one has been playing since launch. Sure eventually they might get it, but everyone has a different discouragement threshold.

Also if dungeons could be soloed, I’m convinced a lot more people would do it. I think it’s looking bad in front of others that prevents many from trying.

Of course more people would do it if it could be solo’d some people just don’t like instanced group content. Does that mean we have to remove dungeons? No.

Here’s the thing, most people struggling with dungeon master aren’t struggling with starting it. They are struggling with the harder paths, mostly because noone runs these harder paths, and because they are new to it they are scared to make a group themselves. If there is incentive for experienced players to run certain content, the content itself gets easier over time, due to most people being experienced. I’ve run several Arah path 4 runs in the last few months, most for 1 or 2 guildies each. When i then list the group in dungeon finder, it fills up in seconds. And people get really excited and proud when we finish it. Arah path 4 groups are so rare. Sure allot of people are selling it, but most people i’ve run this path with don’t want to buy a run, they want to do it themselves.

Offering good rewards for difficult content does not shut people out, in fact it enables more people to actually do the content, because since it’s on farm, it will decrease in difficulty as players get better and know what to do. If a player however sais “never doing this again” after completing the content, due to not being rewarded doing it over, then you actually loose experience and the content will stay unreachable for most casuals, as we see now with Arah path 4, wich people basicly only sell runs for to make their effort worthwile. And that is not what i want for this new content. If you’d rather sell spots then get the rewards yourself, that is bad game design.

And here’s the choice. Do you want to be able to get absolutely every reward in the game, or do you want to be able to participate in as much content as possible. For me it’s the second.
If the hardcore content is really like raid-style difficulty, or hardmodes in GW1, then i may not be able to complete it at first, depending on the time i’ll be able to put in and how hard it is initially. But, and this is important, if there are good rewards in there, i know people will get better and i’ll eventually be able to just learn it by just joining a group for it. If there aren’t any good rewards, this will be another Arah path 4, and i do believe noone wants that.

Is it unfair? Maybe. But this is a game people play for entertainment and relaxation. Some people find challenging content fun, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the majority of the playerbase, even if it is a very loud portion of the playerbase. Why risk kittening off a big portion for a small portion?

Right now, some of the dungeon paths are actually pretty hard, and they aren’t done all that often. I know from personal experience (some of my guildies) that some people have a really hard time completing the dungeon master achievement, while they really want to.
If each dungeon path had unique rewards however, there would be far more incentive to do them, as to right now the easiest path is being run for every dungeon. So in fact you are making the game harder for casual players that want to actually try and do certain things.

Same goes for hardcore content, and i hope they don’t make the same mistake as with dungeons. Giving players unique rewards makes them farm the content, wich in time provides acces to players who considder themselves more casual to actually go in and experience the content, the story in it, the lore in it, the aspects of the game in it, and if they want, to actually go for the rewards themselves. So yeah, what would kitten off the player base more, having skins locked behind certain content, or having certain content locked because they can’t seem to manage it. I know for a fact from my original GW1 friendsgroup that not being able to complete all dungeon paths right now is kittening them off a whole lot more then for example not having the molten backpack or some event backpiece that they weren’t around for.

Then read the complete post lol

I did, why would you think otherwise.

You are missing the point of this conversation. It’s not to win it

If it’s not to win, why do you even care about these skins? “Other people are getting something i don’t, but i want to get everything.” You seem to be the one caring about these rewards, not the actual people doing them.

What long term goal do you want people to go for other then skins and legendary weapons, that you can put into this hardcore content?
Cause it does need a long term goal to be relevant, i hope you can see that.
If you want people to take on harder then ever challenges, but then don’t give a reward at the end most people will stop playing after completing it once. Why should we care? Because if you want to do this content let’s say 6 months from now and noone is doing it anymore, you are basicly locked out of the content. So what is better, to make some content have unique rewards, wich lowers the acces point for everyone, or to make it irrelevant and almost uncompleteable later on because people have moved on.
I’m in a casual guild with friends from GW1, and most are having a kitten hard time with some hard dungeon paths since noone wants to do them, in wich case i often help them trough it. But not everyone has a group of guildies standing by. Some of these people have tried certain paths more then 5 times and always failed because their group didn’t know what to do, and the more experienced people don’t run these paths cause other paths are faster.
Having people who have experience doing the content to keep doing it, makes it automaticly more accesable to other people over a period of time. Since these people will produce guides on doing it and will help their friends do it, who teach more people and so on.

The only complaint about this i get somewhat is the ping one, but then again you cannot expect a game to be balanced around your incredibly dull connection or machine. I tested GW2 on a laptop i bought at a supermarket sale to write my thesis, 500 euro’s, and it still works fine on medium, even in WvW. So basicly anything but a toaster should run this game fine on low.
Other then that, the content will eventually be overcome and so “on farm” by people that even the players who don’t want challenge can just hitch a ride with a group and experience it themselves, without actually grinding for it.

And that is why rewards are important, because they actually allow more people to do the content itself after a certain time, wich should be of far far more concern to you then some skins.

Fairly certain all class reveals had an image up by this point. I think it is pretty safe to say we aren’t getting on this week.

Agreed. We won’t get challenging group content, either, since they’re saving that to announce two Saturdays from now. Other than that, what’s left of substance for us to learn?

They could reveal a whole new system they hadn’t hinted at, or give us a look at the new guild interface, I suppose. But sans challenge or elites, it seems more likely to be an info-light week.

Guild hall customisation maybe?

The logic is learn to read. That’s the logic. I said make it so that the rewards can be sold so if you really want one, and your ping isnt’ there, you can still get it. If you want challenging content. No problem. If you want rewards that no one else can get because you have some deep seated need to show off and you think people will be impressed by it, there’s not much else I can say.

My suggestion is a compromise. Give people hard content but don’t shut out people from the rewards who physically can’t get them. That’s not in any way unreasonable, no matter how hard you try to make it sound that way.

Again, it’s not because you bought the box you automaticly are entitled to having everything available to you. There is no powercreep involved and quite frankly if a few skins not obtainable by you is your problem, you should probally stop playing mmo’s all together, i’m done trying to explain how this is important, but it is important to have these in hardcore content and to limit them to that content.
Just as it is important to have unique pvp or wvw rewards in the future. (wich they are obviously starting with the backpacks)

This is the perfect mmo for casuals because of the fact that we don’t have powercreep, having a certain skin does not make your character better then someone else. That is already 100% more casual then any other game out there. THEY ARE SKINS kitten , this isn’t World of “your ilvl is 100 higher then mine, so you do double damage” Warcraft, that is kittening elitism. A unique skin reward for completing a unique challenge, hell that’s just normal. And no even if 10% of the playerbase plays from super laggy areas, that does not mean content they can’t play can’t offer rewards that are unique to that content.

I’m not the selfish one here, you are.

Seriously when a company known for saying “when it’s ready” commits for release this year, you can count on release this year

Seeing how they still didn’t get VB to work properly in this betah, I fail to see how they can confidently say that everything else will in the 4 something months that’s left, especially when it looks like that elite specs aren’t even done yet. It’s bad enough that we’ll get 4 maps (very likely) that will be absolutely untested save their internal testers, I can’t see how they can address all the issues that will come up with their unfinished specs.

What’s more likely is that they’ll release it unfinished and patch it later, or delay further. Either way, this can’t be good.

I guess you’ll have to wait, see, realise you were wrong, and then kitten about something else entirely. Seriously i’ve had it with the kitten negativity. GW2 itself was hardly finished in the BWE’s and released just fine a bit later that year, in fact better then any mmo i’ve seen.
If you don’t have confidence in it, don’t buy the expansion till a few weeks after release, simple as that.
But stop making it seem like A-Net are purposely kittening us over for money. I’ve played since the start of GW1 and i’ve never felt any of their expansions or games had a lack of content. In fact there isn’t a single one of their releases that hasn’t amazed me in terms of content for the money we were paying. If that doesn’t give you some faith i don’t know what will.

If you think the casual that play 2 hours a day deserve the legendary backpiece as much as the guy playing 6 hours a day in PvP leagues, than something is wrong with your logic. You have to earn it.

People who bust their rear deserve better rewards than some guy logging in a couple hours a week.

How about the casual that plays 6 hours a day? Does s/he deserve the legendary backpiece as much as the person playing 6 hours a day in PvP leagues? Let’s compare like with like here. Is your time more worthy of reward than mine? If so, why?

The fact you use casual and six hours a day in the same line… You clearly have no idea what casually playing a game while having a job means. Skins may be gated but A-Net will never gate power, wich is why i love this game.

There are in fact, many “hard-core” casuals. I’m one of them. I play more than 6 hours a day, every day since launch, and I still consider myself casual, in that my style of play is casual. I’m not particularly looking for challenging content (though I’ve done everything but Liadri).

The problem with challenging content for me is that I live in Tasmania and many people live in places where their ping/lag is quite high. Which means that Liadri is harder for me than it is for someone in the US with good point, but we get the same reward for it.

A lot of people are playing this game on potatos. I’m not but I still live far enough away that I have an unfair disadvantage. So yeah, competitive stuff for me is annoying at best, because even if I’m equal in skill to someone with lower ping, I’m likely to lose a fight.

So if a reward, like the Liadri mini, is offered for something I can’t do, and at this time I can’t do Sanctum Sprint at all, because one of the skills you need to lightning jump to a tower always throws me over the tower…it’s just not all that fair in the first place.

So if there are things I want, it’s not always possible to get them no matter how hard I work…unless you’re suggesting I sell the house and move my family to the US. Which would be a bit overkill for a mini. lol

In this logic A-Net should just shut down the game cause people who don’t have internet connection can’t get any rewards. While i do understand your problem, and i’m sorry for you, you cannot possibly expect the reward system to be based on your personal connection.

Here’s the thing, there are some things you can’t do, to bad for you, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be rewards for people that can, as for unique skins, bohoo you’ll miss a few, i miss a few to, from the 1 year i was moving constantly and didn’t have time to play GW2 due to personal stuff. But i don’t think for one second that my personal situation should affect others enjoyment of the game. And the simple fact is, if you don’t tie some unique rewards to hard and challenging content, you’ll loose many people’s attention for it. In any other mmo these people would have better stats then you, and that would be horrible, but in this one, the only thing achievable is visual updates, and if you can’t accept that some people will have acces to skins you don’t, then quite frankly you should stop playing.

Mmo’s have always worked like this, in fact GW2 has even worked like this. So why all the drama all of a sudden? Prestige has always been a part of whatever online game, cause people like to show off what they have done. There isn’t anything wrong with that. I’m sure there will be tons of skins that you can get outside of these hardcore options, as is quite obvious seeing the number of skins already available. If you really want a skin, you can always try for it, i personally really want the pvp backpiece but i won’t ever reach that level, it’s a bit sad to me, but i understand it. If it’s really your internet connection keeping you down, then i’m sorry for you, but that is an issue at your end, even tough it possibly can’t be helped. Tough luck.

You can’t always get everything you want, buying the game does not entitle you to have loot trown at you.

I honestly do not see the problem, we already have this ingame with dungeons, you have to do the dungeon if you want the skins.

And for those who don’t want to they can buy a slot in the end. Unless they change that, making the “unique” skins from challenging content sellable on the TP is pointless.

Unique skins for different game types, i find this only logical. As long as the open world content provides a good amount of skins rewarding exploration and doing events (like the airship parts for example) i see absolutely no problem with pvp, hardcore pve, wvw and more casual pve to have each their own rewards. Rewards aren’t of course the reason we do this type of content, and as someone who raided in Wow for a long time, i can honestly say i felt more joy from killing bosses the first time then actually recieving loot. BUT if there is no fitting reward to it, there will not be enough people to do them.

Being committed in IT slang means they are on a track to deliver a product within the acceptable timeframe. You cannot count on lack of any unforeseen accidents. If, for example, beta feedback had been extremely negative, I’m pretty confident the release window would have been moved.

Wich is why they are using those terms, but they wouldn’t share it if they weren’t pretty kitten confident in the date. Seriously i waited 4 years after GW1 for a kitten date, i know that when this company releases dates they aren’t messing around anymore and they are 99% certain.

Only reason you see those lfgs is that the non-specific lfgs fill instantly and disappear, while the people waiting for a specific combination of classes will have to wait longer.

This is especially amusing with people that want to speed run, since it often takes longer to make the party than the time saved.

This is what it’s all about. Speedruns are boring to me, and more often then not they aren’t even speedruns since forming the group takes longer then doing the content.

This has to stop.
So many threads, always the same.
Simply make a kitten group!!

None of my characters have berserker armor, i don’t enjoy it and i often play with my guild, but when i want to do a dungeon with pugs, i look in the dungeon finder, and if i can’t find what i want, i make it. I’ve never had to wait more then 5 minutes to have a full group and be on my way, even in the middle of the night or the middle of a weekday. This isn’t an issue. Yes people tend to look for optimal ways, and some may discriminate vs certain classes. And that would be bad, if it took you a long time to find a group that doesn’t care. BUT IT DOESN’T TAKE A LONG TIME.
In fact i’ve often seen berserker only groups take longer to fill then my new one. Most people don’t give a kitten .

I don’t agree with you, at all, on the loot part. As long as the stats are the same. Hard mode content needs unique skins and rewards, a goal to strive towards. Fractals has the unique weapon skins, and hardcore content will have the same if not more, you buying the game does not entitle you to have acces to all of it without effort, and if you don’t want to do a certain type of content, you don’t have to, but don’t expect the rewards for free. I will probally never get the Legendary pvp backpiece, altough i love the skin of it, but i accept that. And that’s what you’ll have to do, accept that certain people will have certain skins that require you to do certain types of content, deal with it.

In pve it’s currently useless to run vitality on all your armor pieces, since there isn’t enough condi damage coming from pve mobs to justify it.

Saying there is one perfect armor to suit every class is simply wrong, unless you want to go full zerker, but i personally don’t enjoy that (i don’t play pugs so screw that).
Zerker is a result of the current corner stack and blast meta, wich me and my guilds don’t participate in, the game is actually quite fun and sometimes even challenging if you don’t do it. So basicly if you do this, please ignore this message.

Anyway you should just look at your class, see what you are weak and strong at and use your brain. Basicly if you want to be tankier vs power hits, stack toughness, if you have problems with condition damage onto you, stack vitality, and then stack offensive stats to whatever you need them for.

something has been greatly overlooked here.

All events, no matter how easy and dumb they seem to be, have to have a “minimum” player threshold to complete. If this event stayed bugged, imagine trying to complete it with only 2 or 4 players doing the same thing you did.

How well would that have worked out for you? No commander tags, no organization, just you and a few others.

I agree, wich is why i said it shouldn’t be applied for this event, but maybe there can be a lesson in it for future events, of course working with proper scaling.

The racial tension vs the sylvari, the actions of Caithe, what glint has to do with all of it, i’m really excited to find out. Also, i can’t wait for Trahearne to have his Rurik moment (something i think is coming) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YLg-aSRI-M
Since he is the major Sylvari character captured i wouldn’t be suprised if we see another ‘My friends, i do not wish to fight you, but i have little choice in the matter.’ With him being all corrupted and stuff.

BWE 1: Bug makes event more engaging.

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Fox.3469

Hey all,

I would love to have your opinion on something. I have talked about this issue with my guild and they seem to agree with me.
It involves the event chain where you escort a group of Sylvari snipers trough the jungle to then eventually end up at great vine end boss where you had to hold a sniper area at one side, while shooting it with mortars from the other side. While the end boss of this, with the mortars and holding the area, was tons of fun (even tough it was still buggy as hell) i want to talk about the vines popping up before that, during the first escort quest.

The idea is that you hold the sniper area, the snipers take out the vinetenders and then you can damage the big vine that they were shielding and kill it so your escort quest can continue. However during the BWE we had occasions of this event bugging out, where the snipers would not fire even if you held the area.

And this is where i think we could learn a lesson from a bug, because playing it with this bug made this event allot more engaging for me, and my guildmates playing with me at the time, we were on teamspeak and we all agreed this was actually cool.
So when the snipers didn’t fire, we looked for a way to continue the event, even with it bugging out right there, and we managed to do it, by killing the vinetenders within seconds of eachother, burning them down equally. I was commanding at the time and i instructed people on wich tender to burn harder so that they would go down equally, people who understood what to do damaged the tenders themselves, and most new to it just followed my commander tag to the target i was attacking and this way we managed to down these mobs within seconds of eachother, getting the shield down and then burning the vine. The first vine we did we had to try a few times cause one vinetender died to soon compared to the others, but as we went allong, people started getting the idea that these mobs had to die together and by the last event i didn’t even have to swap targets anymore, since they all went down equally fast due to people just getting it.

I then again did the event the next day, and it didn’t bug at the vines, and i was sad to see that an engaging event, while it had a bug, became way less engaging without it. The tenders died within seconds of holding those sniper areas and the event just progressed way faster, but didn’t feel nearly as engaging to me, as it was basicly again, holding an area, and then killing something. I also thought the bugged version prepared us way better for the splitting up and coordinating the big vine with the mortars, then the normal one did, since there was already some coördination required.

Now i don’t mean to say this event needs to change to resemble more of the bugged version but i do believe this bug can actually learn us something about how high we can raise the bar for doing events in the open world. It was proven during this bug that for example burning down 4 mobs right at the same time to remove a shield, ins’t something that is to hard for players. Coördination in a small way, like what was needed with these vinetenders if the snipers bugged out, was to me what made this one of the more engaging event chains in GW2, and i hope we can learn from this, to have simular chains that require just that tiny bit of working together and doing different things at the same time, not only during the final boss, like we saw with the big vine at the end where you had to basicly hold 2 areas quite far away from eachother (mortars and snipers) but also just during the event chain itself.

Let me know what you think about this!

Quite simple, if you aren’t in range of the target, this skill should not activate. Having it go on cooldown while doing nothing isn’t helpfull.

Also there seem to be still a huge amounts of bugs wich make it end early.

The mobs aren’t op, the environment is op, i died more to using dodges and dash skills of cliffs then anything else, especially in the beginning when using the shiro revenant, how many times that backwards dash just sent me swooping over the edge of a cliff :p

I agree with runeblade, i want every fight to be interesting. You only need to do waypoint A to B like one time and you can skip that area so i don’t see the harm in a little challenge, especially mobs that force people to actualy think about the skills they use.

Are people moving away from MMOs?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Fox.3469

There are way more people playing mmo’s these days then 5 or 6 years ago, as there are way more gamers then 5 or 6 years ago. Only back then there were way less options. People get more picky and they do try different games, so the community of mmo players is divided over more games in general. The fact that more mmo’s are coming out also means some people change games way more often, and it’s only logical. This is why the new mmo’s always have bigger populations at release then a few months or years into it.

I do think we’ll see more mmo’s on console or at least console controllers in the future, wich is something i look forward to.

Will we ever see new playable Races?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Fox.3469

I’d say it’s likely, in future expansions.
I don’t think they’ll add more proffesions then the 9 available in HoT since they have a good balance between medium, light and heavy armor classes now and they do feel quite different. They will probally keep adding elite specs instead.

Adding a race is imo as someone who kind of knows the sector, far less work then adding a new proffesion wich then has to be balanced and fit in the entire game.
Races are basicly visual customisation, they don’t change anything but visuals. Animations really aren’t that hard, and i think far less timeconsuming then balancing the game.

I’d say the forgotten/ancient race makes a good ammount of sense, and of course the tengu.

I honestly don’t give a kitten how many people are playing. As long as there’s enough to keep the maps filled and events alive, i’m fine with it, and atm, there isn’t any problem with that, thanks to the megaservers.

I’m still having fun, that’s the important part for me.

Are we really going to compare legendary weapons, the most prestigious items to go after…to a few lines of a dialogue in a story that everyone gets?

This is the point where we stop talking, since you clearly have not the same priority about important things in the game as i do.

And where do you get this info that there wont be completion like that in the jungle? again what we see is a beta, and is supposed 25% of one of the jungle maps, so would be pretty pointless to implement such a thing yet, as you wouldn’t be able to get close to even 100% of one map let alone the whole jungle, and it would likely distract ppl from doing what they actually want us to test

Well, none of the other maps they’ve added have counted towards map completion in any way for starters.

Didn’t karka map count towards it?

Btw this isn’t single map release this is an expansion, i would think that would make it at least have it’s own explorer track.

That has nothing to do with releasing an incomplete set being equal or not. The inequality here is the majority of weapons being left behind while a select few get new legendary options, regardless of how they are obtained. If anything, the new system for obtaining precursors being available to those select few exaggerates the inequality even further.

Yeah, the heavy reliance on RNG for precursors sucks. And this is coming from someone that got 4 out 5 from the forge. The new system brings a non-RNG (hopefully, as we don’t know if the collection will have RNG drops or not) way to obtain them, which is great. But it’s not great that so many will have to wait a lot longer for it.

I believe the old ones will be getting the precursor collection treatment as well.

At some point, yes. With new precursor skins, as well. But I don’t think it’s been stated whether that will happen at release or not.

If this does happen at release, then it only makes lacking a full set of new weapons at launch even worse. If they managed to do that for all of the existing ones, what’s holding up the new ones so much?

Ehm, this system is already in the beta(for the old ones)

People who play this game, and don’t get super obsessed about skins, will say this is far more equal then having to trow 1000’s of blades into a forge only to see someone else pull out the precursor at second try.
People who rush trough everything to then sit pretty in lions arch and complain about no content, hell let’s not treat them equal, i don’t have a problem with that, let’s focus on the people who love to play and who’d love for their legendairy to be more then “what’s the best way to earn gold”. I don’t kittening mind if my class or the weapon i want comes the last of all of them. It’s something to look forward to then.

So if i’m following your logic, let’s not give the Sylvari different story dialog or options (we don’t really know the extend of this) because the Norn will probally have to wait till the jormag expansion to get their unique story experience?

Where does this stop? Were you mad when they released braham’s mace and shield and rox bow with the story in the gem store? Do you mind that the shadow assasin’s outfit is just a perfect fit for thieves or that there aren’t really that much heavy looking costumes in the gemstore? Or is it purely because they are legendary’s they have to be there all at once? This isn’t the first time certain weapons will get a skin while others don’t, it certainly isn’t the first time weapons look way better on certain classes(do i need to remind you of the guardian skill “kittenupmyshield” also known as “aegis”.

Yet because these are legendary weapons it somehow makes it super important that it fits the mold you think of?
What if the vision A-net has for legendary weapons in the future, just doesn’t fit that mold. (for example involving it somehow in the story) Do you want to hear there vision, or even how the current ones will work, first? Or will you keep holding your breath in protest?

I wish there actually was information coming in. But it is difficult to give information about things that don’t exist.

This made me flip the kitten out, seriously i’ve never seen an mmo releasing more weekly info.

Gotta love people responding with personal attacks instead of debating with poise but hey that’s expected in this day and age; when in doubt, use insults. Bravo.

What is there to debate with someone who put down a beta after an hour and then complains about it. You probally spent more time on the forums already then actually testing.
At least that’s what i assume due to the ignorance of all the systems in the map, in your post.

I remember Jon Peters mentioning in a POI that he’s seen a few and loved them (this was a few months ago). Maybe he was mentioning that he saw some that Anet was trying to pick between or maybe he saw a bunch that are going to be implemented.

No matter the real answer, I surely hope its more than 3 because this is one of the things I’m looking forward to. I’m wanting to start right away on a new staff.

I’ve seen this one to, wich is why i’m convinced they are keeping them back to tie them in with the story going forward, wich i think would be perfect. Hell i may even unlock a legendairy warhorn just for the lore behind it. Who cares if noone ever uses it.

Special or not, it’s still just a weapon skin.

The first generation was, the second generation that obviously want to be more then just that. This is clear just from the little they talked about legedary’s going forward.

This is exactly what many of us are doing by not pre-purchasing HoT. At least until Anet shows it’s actually worth what they are asking.

Thank god, we don’t need more people kittened off cause they pre-purchased without thinking. Just take your time, look at all the info coming in, get more informed and make a call based on what you know. You have every right not to purchase the expansion, even based on it not having enough legendary weapons. (altough you’ll still be a morron in my eyes if this in any way affects the outcome, no offense)

Everyone is being treated equally cause everyone will eventually get them. One type of weapon wielder does not get less content then another, they may however get it at different times.

That is a textbook definition of not being treated equally. I’m not sure how anyone could see that as equality.

People who play this game, and don’t get super obsessed about skins, will say this is far more equal then having to trow 1000’s of blades into a forge only to see someone else pull out the precursor at second try.

I will wait if it means better and more fleshed out content to obtain these weapons.
And no i wouldn’t want them to focus to much on it now, cause i want the basic content in the expansion to have priority. But hey, call me crazy, idk, at least i won’t judge a game or expansion by the types of shiny things to aquire. I feel sad that so many people couldn’t care less about the content itself.

Out of the 19 available weapons you’re seriously defending a company that could only make three more?

Yes i am. They are constantly releasing new weapons wich have skins that atm even rival some legendairy’s. I want legendairy’s to be something special beyond normal weapons.
As for weapon skins added, since release, every few months there have been weapons added to the game, not one, but an entire set everytime, often even in months after eachother.

Maybe you should stop supporting this company if you think they are that bad, the door is right there.
