Yeah, that is one awesome trait almost equal to Water Grandmaster trait of an ele. And gaining adrenaline on a warrior is not that slow compared to Necro Life Force.

On a more serious note, although warriors seem to have too much CC they can spam away since they will be readily available once you swap weapons anyway, it will render them useless when these CC cooldowns are increased or are nerfed to the ground. They are running with double melee weapon sets. That’s your clue on how to counter them. They’re not as immortal as you might think they are. The immortal stances have a minute CD so you might wanna save some of your offensive CDs until those wear out. Although a more visual cue on the invulnerable stances like Berserker Stance should be put in place for a much better experience while fighting against warriors. And oh, adrenaline bars depleting and bursts going full CD when bursts miss, got evaded, blocked, etc, would also give fair play and a bit of risk at the same time encourage more timed usage and such.

Conditions are a form of damage, they are applied like direct damage, but instead of dealing one huge hit it is divided into several smaller ones. (DoT) They have to advantage to ignore armor, but they can be dodged, blocked, missed, … like direct damage and additionally be cleansed. In average they deal less damage then direct damage builds, but with the current bunker meta, they appear strong.
There has nothing to be fixed, just think about them as direct damage with a delay.
I can do away with the damage over time thing. What irks me is the numerous CC conditions being thrown out like mad, and now that immob stacks and does not just overwrite in duration, makes dodging, or doing anything to mitigate a bombardment of conditions from even just 2 condi-spamming classes, especially necro+engie whereas condi removal is not as plentiful in all classes and builds.

And I really wish the fire tree would help with that, but you can easily check whats there and find out that it doesn’t.

On a serious note, as mentioned by someone else above, any build will and can work in a PVE setting. Right now I’m running 30/0/0/30/10. And I can easily tweak some traits here and there either for conjures, condi removal on regen for support, or more damage multipliers depending on the situation.

I also made a CC warrior last weekend and I’m lovin it. Spamming all kinds of knockdowns, stuns, and dazes never felt more fun. And I don’t die a lot. Even if I do, I still don’t feel frustrated like I do on my ele. I don’t know why.
Trying to play all the fotm builds for every class (condibomb mesmer, fear-condi necro, s/d thief, spranger) in the past few weeks and all I can say is that the reason these builds get a lot of popularity is because they become quite effective even in only a few minutes of hotjoin playing and become really deadly once you learn the ins and out of the build without much of a threat aside from hard counters.

Farming itself is a problematic concept, because it’s basically a mechanic that incentivises doing the same thing for a long time.
This is what I’m talking about though, this game currently follows this definition of “Farming”.
Farming isn’t problematic imo. It’s just the lack of options for getting wealth. It’s only a mechanic that incentivises doing the same thing for a long time because there’s only 1-2 farming methods.
If you could make decent profit from a lot of different activities you have options, you can just “play the game” it no longer becomes “farming”. You’re just playing the game doing w/e you want, and getting rewarded for it.
Farming exists because the game allows it to. Before, there was specific orr chain events that spawn lotsa mobs and these events trigger quite frequently. Then there were champ trains that follow a specific route because champs respawn heck even less than five minutes after being mowed down mercilessly by a zerg without putting up a fight.
One option would be (as someone has mentioned above) increase the rewards on certain events or champs the longer they are not contested or initiated (a positive incentive), or put a diminishing return on a frequently farmed event or champ (this is viewed as negative).
Also, it’s either the frequency of these kinds of events that give good rewards that has to be adjusted (random spawns might be nice) in order to spread out the farm trains into multiple zones hunting for multiple champs OR properly adjust difficulty scaling so that auto-attack fest on loot piñatas are avoided.
The rewards for these champs and events are decent enough (some definitely needs more buffing though) when encountered solo or by a small party but they become trivialized with a zerg and are abused by fixed and quick spawn timers.
However there will always be people that will find the most profitable thing to do in-game and announce it to the world and everyone will simply follow suit.

I’d say ele + guardian. Water and fire fields are heaven sent for Might Stacking and Combo heals. They are both boon machines and heal machines. They can do decent DPS while bringing a lot of utilities to the table. I can personally say an ele is a ton of fun in PVE if you know the ins and outs of the class. I can’t comment on a guardian’s playstyle though I always love love love to have a guardian in my party. They’re the knight in shining armor of GW2 in all areas of the game, bar none.

Warriors – They’re sturdy, they dish out damage. Right now, I feel that they are more frustrating to fight against than a mesmer or a thief, which is pretty mind boggling since they were free kills a few patches ago. I’m not against the buffs to warriors, they’re just kind of over the top such that they are becoming too good in everything that they do. But that’s just me.
Eles – They gave staff some buff here but an across the board nerf there due to AOE limit including blocks and evades. Heh. And, oh, conjures!!

It’s great, but the fact that it’s linked to Attunement swapping makes it difficult to get Stability when I actually want it.
The class’s inherent mechanic is itself a big hindrance in playing the class fuidly. It needs careful micromanagement of CDs. If you made a tiny teensy mistake, you’re dead.

I’m definitely loving the new trait tooltips! Duration increase, percentage increase, etc are all very very helpful in actually testing out builds and stuff.
But some still has info missing like Internal Cooldowns and some other percentage increase/decrease. One more polishing runthrough and they’d be awesome!

One thing I hated about this patch is that traits that have ICDs indicated before now has no ICD indicated like Tempest Defense. I mean yeah, the improved tooltips on skills and traits are awesome, but they are still incomplete.

One thing I noticed about how support should be played based on the recent changes to ele is that you need to stack closer with your allies for them to benefit your PBAOE boons and heals because of the reduces effect radius. It encourages more melee stacking when fighting since getting out of the very small radius of effect of certain skills will make most if not all of your support skills and if you or your other allies are ranged, well, too bad, you can’t benefit from either ones party boons and heals.

Champions will be placed on some sort of timer system, preventing players from farming them in a static loop as they respawn and in stead requiring players to venture to different zones and kill different champions.
I really hope they don’t put champs on a timer. The FG and CS champ trains are the only real way to make money in this game with any kind of speed since everything else has been nerfed into the ground.
I really wish they put them on a longer timer or make it so Champ loot bags have some sort of diminishing returns so that the champ trains expand and explore other zones as well and not just FGS CS, and QD. There are still a LOT of avoided champs in a LOT of zones. These zones are beautiful but dead and useless other than map completion.
Or make champs scale better and have some sort of anti zerg mechanic so they aren’t loot piñatas like most if not all meta event bosses prior to their updated versions.
Risk/reward in this game is somewhat okay but becomes brokenly broken when the word zerg joins the equation.

Yeah, against MMs, smartest way to fight them is through kiting, LOS, jumping up and down obstacles since terrain pathing is a huge huge disadvantage to AIs.

I for one am excited with some of the quality of life changes like traits and skills tooltip revamp (but I still get the feeling that I’m being TOO hopeful with my expectations but we’ll see).
But I really wish there will be more balance changes than the ones stated there because if that’s all there is to it in the upcoming balance patch, then rofl.
Such a shame that eles will still be hit by the nerf bat (EA and attunement radius reduction) BUT getting improved conjures to compensate. lololol. Still no changes to no-brainer auto-attack and crit procs. No nerfs to condi-spam (except for the AOE cap-limit thingy I guess). No improvements/changes to AI functions, the petting zoo remains.

Cant outrun anyone, cant heal (look at warriors healing signet, more than twice our base hp, dont need to spend any skill to get healing from it, heals them for too much per second…) , cant blind, cant stealth, cant use clones, cant use skills when dead……how the heck are we supposed to do any damage in a fight if 80% of the time we are too busy trying to keep ourselves alive……?!

It is fairly amusing. Anet has been dangling better pvp rewards incoming for a while now, and yet they turn a blind eye to these farms which are making it so that when those rewards are actually in, people who exploited a terrible map will be massively far ahead of people who played the game legitimately. If you ever needed proof that anet doesn’t care about the playerbase, this should do it.

Some karma vendors sell unique weapon (and armor?) skins like the Centaur thingy skins.
What I hate about most of them and this is not exclusive to karma vendor items, is that the item icons of some unique skins are that of standard or different weapons and armors. They need to fix these since you can easily miss out on a cool looking weapon or armor if you just look at the icon of the gear and not trying to preview the item.

Seeing R40 and R50 in PVP disgusts me right now. I know some of them earned their ranks in legit matches throughout a long span of time but knowing that others just easily farmed their ranks for a couple days in broken custom arenas in this sad state of PVP we are in is just downright a hard kick in the nuts of a 90-year old dying man with prostate cancer. I like the idea a lot, but it would have to be done very carefully. Finishers already happen every couple of seconds in an average teamfight, and some engineer and ele builds finish their own fields constantly.
Adding internal CDs like 5 seconds or so would be an easy fix if it is deemed OP when spammed.

-Temporary content. They waste so much time making content that they remove a week later. I took a long break from the game, and when I returned, the game really hadn’t changed at all! The reason for this is because all the content they had released while I was away had been removed from the game… kitten?
No matter how you hate it, it seems that this type of content is more appealing to a significant portion of the player base. It’s like having a limited offer or sale on your favorite store. You make sure you get to buy something from that limited offer or you’ll miss out, instead of thinking: meh, I’ll prolly do it later since it’ll be there permanently and then just forget about it.
Temporary content like are awesome as long as they are of good quality like the Mad King, Wintersday festivals.

Ele’s really arn’t that bad tbh, it just takes alot more skill to pull of than the other meta builds and its really the counters from classes and s/d thieves that shut eles down, nerf the other builds, dont change ele.

A large chunk of condi damage comes from iDuel bleed procs (confusion proc if traited and combos with pink fields), staff clones, and Chaos Storm. As Eurantien said, killing the iDuelists and clones ASAP is key. Of course you don’t bash around killing it within melee since it is highly likely that they will throw more conditions and confusion on you when these illusions are killed.
Also, blinds and LOS make clone generating skills miss so invest on those.
They can also kite and hide pretty well with all those blink, phase retreats and decoy so catching them on melee is kind of pointless unless you catch them with all these skills on cooldown and that is a pretty small window of opportunity IMO since these skills have fairly short CDs. They seem to melt fast with ranged and aoe condi though. L/B warrior and necro come to mind. And clone generating skills require a target so fighting stealth with stealth is a fairly effective counter as well IMO.

People on the forums have been asking for the option to save multiple builds. So they can change their build for free in selected areas throughout the game world. To one that they saved because they who it works.
This also makes me wonder.
So with the introduction of a gemstore item like this, does this mean that the QoL for build templates wherein one can switch saved builds on the fly will never be possible in PVE, or worse, be a gemstore feature as well?? I’m feeling sad.

Surely TA was ok on all paths except for the Nightmare tree? The Nightmare Tree should be revamped on all 3 paths as it a really dull fight on all of them, even discounting the TAFU snafu. It was graphically poor as well.
I too have no idea why a whole dungeon path would be removed. It would also break the three way story of the Vevina, Laurent, and whoever it was. Not the best story but there was at least a story.

I mean, I myself didn’t believe Ranger Spirits were gonna have they’re shining moment not until I saw with my own eyes the mess it caused.
