I tried to respond to your original thread… spent 15 mins writing just to find it got deleted (sigh)

Because there was no gear treadmill, I could not improve myself to be better than others. Because I already bought all ascended trinkets and and ascended weapon as well as exotic armor, there was no goal for me to do.

Climbing a gear treadmill does not make you better at the game than another player.

Gear treadmills not only kill competitive game modes, but it is a lazy and easy for developers and players both, get out of the mindset that a game should be about grinding stupidly hard to obtain tiers of gear (skins are fine, not stats), they can be much more.

Being able to use your dodges properly, your defence mechanics, and positioning and team combo’s and dealing with different situations and reacting fast, makes you a better player. Gear treadmills remove player skill from games.

And when you reach the best in slot (BIS) gear in another game, then what? Do you want them to make a new tier every few months? You want to endlessly chase the BIS carrot that means nothing and just alienates skilled players from grinders? Ascended gear is a step in the stupid direction of treadmill grinding.

Gear treadmills do NOT make you a good player.

Well, while we’re on that topic, dodging in and out while hitting people is not skill either in my opinion. Anyone can dodge, anyone can activate skills in a certain order. It takes skill to research and create builds of your own that you can show off in PvP by literally destroying everyone.

I remember building a tank Paladin build in WoW and going into PvP for the first time. It was so ridiculously good that I only died once and I would rush into a mob of 3-5 people by myself and kill them all within 5-10 minutes. All I had to do was stand there, pop some heal skills in a specific order, and repeatedly bash my enemies in the face while stunning them, because that’s what I was specced for. I researched the skills I wanted to use and combined the best of them into a chain of fantastic awesomeness. That takes skill.

You want to show that you’re better by having inherently better stats, while standing in one place casting skills in some optimized order.

I just gotta say, maybe GW2 isn’t the game for you. I’m not saying that GW2 can’t improve. I’m just saying that I’d probably stop playing altogether if it turned into whatever you’re thinking.

No, I would not like Gw2 to implement a combat system where you “Stand still”. I’m simply saying that the combat system needs an improvement, because at the moment, it’s unclear who I’m being attacked by and from where I’m being attacked. I simply want Anet to make it a little clearer so a thief can’t hop around my guardian while I can’t hit him a single time because the thief constantly flips over my character, dodging in and out before I have a chance to get a single hit in.

And the combat system in PvE needs improvement as well. It seems ridiculously clunky and jerky, and the skills feel like they don’t activate right away when you press the skill buttons.

I understand where you’re coming from. I was disappointed in learning that rangers were better for melee, after coming off a Hunter back in WoW.

Anyhow, this game is fun and all, but I feel this game just isn’t meant to be played on a daily basis. The game was meant to cater to the casual fanbase, where games like WoW catered to a more hardcore fanbase. This game was and is a breath of fresh air, but with a heavy emphasis on RNG, lousy cosmetic items, and the worst grind I’ve ever faced in a game, I’m losing my interest more and more each day.

There’s a potential infraction somewhere in all this I’m sure, but I’m looking forward to the PS4 launching, and waiting for Wildstar to launch; and I hope it lives up to it’s hype. I miss the Trinity system, I miss hard dungeons, raiding, and non-RNG based systems. Okay, raiding had that, but at least it was fun leading up to it. Even if you didn’t get your drop there was still that sense of accomplishment for taking down that raid boss.

This game lacks accomplishment, it even lacks some polish. The cosmetics for the most part are awful and uninspired to me.

This isn’t a major complaint, and it’s a great idea; but for me, I preferred having the armor sets dyed out for you. I have the worse sense of matching colors and armor, so just looting the drop I needed from a boss and slapping it on without worrying what colors it were was fine.

I even miss cloaks and capes.

Anyhow, I digress.

This game is fun, and definitely a good game, but this game Lately just hasn’t been my ideal game now that I have a lot more free-time and room to play. I only log in to run dungeons and gawk at the scenery. At least when I did that in WoW people were always doing something, and I knew there was always something I could be doing.
I feel like I’ve exhausted that with completing all the JP’s, without wanting to farm the Slayers, and doing all the non luck based explore-able achievements.

Anyhow, I digress.

This game is fun, and definitely a good game, but it might not be for me much longer.

Thank you for that, you said everything I wanted to say but in a much more graceful and intricate way. I literally agree with every single thing you said, and that’s what I was trying to post, but due to tiredness of too much writing, cut many paragraphs short of what I really wanted to say.

Apparently I was too brazen with my other post, so I will try to convey my message in the nicest, most constructive way possible in the shortest amount of paragraphs I can muster.

About a week ago I was in Queensdale farming when I started questioning what the point of even playing GW2 was when I reached max level. Because there was no gear treadmill, I could not improve myself to be better than others. Because I already bought all ascended trinkets and and ascended weapon as well as exotic armor, there was no goal for me to do.

That’s when I took a break and started playing other MMOs such as Aion and WoW. Playing those made me realize that certain aspects of GW2 need to be improved. Combat was one of them. I could never see who was hitting me in PvP in GW2, and when I did, I could never hit them because they would swerve in and out of the reach of my character. When I played PvP in other mmos, I was able to stand there and take them down purely with the build I was using that I thoroughly researched, and it was extremely satisfying knowing that I didn’t have to swerve back and forth so they couldn’t hit me. I could take their damage head-on and still beat them.

It finally occurred to me why people leave Guild Wars 2. They are not satisfied with the combat, the “Everyone’s a dps” system, or the living story. They needed something more to achieve.

The combat is probably the biggest reason people move on to other games. To start, it is clunky, jerky, and glitchy to put it nicely. I recently tried out a healing build on my Guardian with cleric armor, and I was insulted constantly, bullied, and laughed at because of the damage I was doing. It is extremely sad when I cannot create a build of my own and use it. I must go with berserker gear or stop playing the game.

In short: Improve combat, improve the “support” stats so they’re viable in PvE, and give something to the players to make them feel like they’re getting more powerful, whether it be new armor, new weapons, or a new hairstyle.

As far as PVE.
“And no, I don’t want to play as a zerker.”

This line lets me know you don’t care about being the best group mate possible. Any build will “work” in PVE. Since you don’t care about maximizing your potential, then yes that will “work”.

-Sigh- Take your elitism elsewhere. You’re not wanted here.

Guardians in Dungeon Runs

in Guardian

Posted by: Galtrix.7369

Galtrix.7369

(Sry for the grammar and spelling)
I’m getting more and more fed up with the Guardians I’m meeting in (Speed) Dungeon Runs. The thing is:
I typically run the usual Dungeons CoF 1/2, SE 1/3, TA Up/FF, HotW1 etc. on a regular basis and as my mates and me, are sometimes not enough we add Randoms via LFG. My main class is guardian but I have a Max Gear Warrior and Mesmer aswell. So when we get a Guardian via LFG I usually switch to Mes or War. That’s where I’m getting fed up.
These Guardians (wide range of Achievement Points and/or Equipment) often just add NOTHING to the success of the group. They just roam around there with their GS and deal “damage” using only GS-Skills and F1. Cond Remove? No. Aegis against Power Hits? No. Might? No. Stability? Sometimes. Heal? No way.
Why shouldn’t I trade them in for another warrior? I mean as I have to take Healing Surge instead of passive signet, abort 100Bs to dodge and take Shake it off instead of FGJ anyway I can just have another Zerk War. Because compared to my Guardian (I have a complete Zerk Gear for SoloPVE) my Warrior deals so much more Damage against stationary targets (Mesmer or Corner Pull) with the GS/Axe Weapon Swap Build.
And when you ask them, most of the Guardians who play that way don’t even run Full Berserker Gear. Soldier Gear! Why in god’s name would you play Soldier Gear in a kittening Dungeon Run. Of course you’re going to be a serious bunker but for what? So you can die last when the rest of the group just ripped because of 25 bleeding stacks and a null field on cooldown? Congratulations you can now flame the rest of the party because they died before you. The other ones running Full Berserker Gear often just die first due to the toughness aggro and the low life pool. Why not run Healway and make sure the warriors aren’t disturbed or Knight’s with Boon duration, when the dungeon or the party setup isn’t allowing Zerker. If support isn’t for you, play a warrior kittenit!
I know this is a lot of rant but I just had to write it down somwhere, because in my personal view it has gotten a lot worse over the last months. This has also something to due with the active meta though:
The easiest and fastest way to do most of the dungeons in my opinion still is the 1 Offensive Support (Mes/Thief) 1 Defensive Support (Guard) 3 DPS (Warrior). Which doesn’t mean it can’t be done with other setups that can even be easier but not faster though.

I stopped playing a support guardian and then I stopped playing altogether. Why? Because elitist cretins that have never played an mmorpg in their entire lives kept kicking me from every single pug I tried to go into as a support guardian. They told me berserker or nothing, and I did not want to play that way, so I just quit. If Anet hasn’t changed this utterly stupid elitist system and made other stats useful in dungeons/PvE in general by now, then I didn’t see them doing it in the future so I quit.

When an ascended drops, I’m pretty sure you get a drop down box asking which you’d like. Or is that just for the inscription and you’re saying the weapon type is the missed-option..?

You can choose the type of weapon you’d like. For example: Staff, pistol, sword, greatsword.

But you cannot pick the stats of the weapon. I looted an ascended chest a few weeks ago and I chose a staff, but it gave me soldier stats on it

I would like this to happen as well, but I don’t see it happening. It’s little things like this that make the game seem like complete crap because it’s unpolished. I was actually looking for the option to see my own name yesterday, and when I couldn’t find it I almost deleted GW2. (I was having a rough day).

But thing is i doubt this is unpolish, more like Gw2 devs had a clear vision of what they wanted the AI to look like and show and that is what we got.

Ofcourse they could listen to feedback and improve though, but your almost delete is the most idiotic reason i have ever heard how the kitten does any game keep a customer like you around!?

Like I said, I was having a rough day. And Anet made the UI exactly how they wanted it to look… Like complete garbage. Even if it was their original intent to make it look like that, it’s still unpolished like many, many other things in the game. I came from Wow where I could literally customize anything on my screen with addons or options from the settings. You have to understand how annoying it is when I think about something as simple as showing my own name not being available in the options when I look for it. Or moving my health orb or minimap wherever I want. Or customizing the chat even. On that day, I looked for about 7 of those options that I had in wow, and when I didn’t find them then that is when I almost ragequit.

If you’re looking for both PvE and WvW: Choose a Mesmer.

The Elementalist has received too many nerfs to its better single target skills and weapons that make it do crappy dps.

“1. Anet has enough money from RNG box sales to feed the world 90 times.”

WROOOOONNNGGGG

As has been shown ANET does not get money from the Gemstore directly. Money goes to NCsoft and they then get a % or whatever. Money goes to NCsoft and THEY decide howmuch ANET gets. Money earned by GW2 will also be put into other games NCsoft develops and vice versa.

Just because they make money with the gemstore it does not mean it all goes directly to them, let’s get that clear.

Now. Proceed with the flaming!

Recognize a hyperbole when you see it. Even so, Anet should be able to come up with better content with the money they’re given. As it stands, the content they come up with now is complete and utter garbage that I would not wipe my butt with.

THAT is a different discussion. But still you’re around? Go play something you enjoy more?

When you’ve played the Guild Wars games for as long as I have, you find it hard to completely give up on the games you spent your life with. I’m still hanging on to the idea that Anet is still trying to improve their content every two weeks and that it is going to get better, not worse. I check in every few days to see if anything was improved, but nothing significant has happened as of yet. When I see that the game is not going to get better, then I will use my GW2 box as firestarter and then never come back.

Even though I would enjoy the Holy Trinity in Guild Wars 2 A LOT, I believe Anet would screw it up to the point where the game would be unplayable. If they can’t balance an all-dps combat system, then what makes you think they would be able to throw in a tank and a healer and be able to balance those too?

I tried to build my character as a tank in GW2, and I got kicked out of dungeons, yelled at, I was told to change to all zerker gear, and insulted repeatedly for the way I chose to build. This is why I would like the trinity to be implemented so I can tank those people like my Paladin in WoW and literally beat the crap out of them.

Galtrix.7369

Anet has already said they are NEVER doing expansions for this game. Deal with it.

They said they don’t know how they will release the expansion. They may have made up their minds by now though. They where unsure of whether to do a business as usual box release or feed it through the living story. The content will come one way or the other.

If I don’t want the content if it’s free, why the hell would I want to pay money for the content in box-form?

Because of the bad side-effects from the gem-store approach. Now Anet focus on the gem-store for income the question becomes “how do we get people to buy gems” and that effects the game in a negative way. Nothing is free you see.

I did already gave multiple examples with the mini’s in the game and the gold-driven part and so on but I will keep it to one example here.

Lets for a moment forget about money. You just want to create the best game there is. How would you go about hairstyles? Would you put new hairstyles in some separate part from the game where you pay a lot of gold to change your hair onetime (using the gold / gem rate here) or would you put a barber ingame where everybody can just go and cut it’s hair for a few silver.

But money is a factor, the company needs to make money so now lets suggest they make money with expansions. How would they then do it. They might put the barber in the next expansion or already put him in now but lock multiple hairstyles behind an expansion. Anyway, the barber is in the game and you can change your hair whenever you like for a few silver. You have the expansion? Then you have more hairstyles.

Now lets say you generate income with the gem-store what would you then do. Well you need to make money so you will luck the hairstyles behind some cash-shop most likely in a totally separate part outside of the game (that is not required btw) that means a you can not just go to the barber and cut your hair for a few silver whenever you like but you need to pay a lot of gold or some money. They need to make some money somehow so who can blame them if they have a F2P game.

So thats an example where the cash-shop focus for income makes a compromise to the game quality. The quality of the game becomes lesser because they have to answer the question “How do we get people to buy gems”. Just like mini’s are now mainly gem-store related so going into the world colling them is gone..

The question “how to get people to keep buying expansion” simply results in a better game.

Thats why you would want to pay for expansions.. to get a better game.

1. Anet has enough money from RNG box sales to feed the world 90 times.

2. Anet promised that the gem-store would revolve only around cosmetic purchases, which they did. Unfortunately, the entire game revolves around cosmetic items, leading to more transmutation stone purchases or outfit purchases. Anet has made enough money from these.

3. Expansions do not guarantee a better game. WoW declined over time because it tried to “improve” the game by making the expansions better. I don’t see how Guild Wars 2 could get worse, but Anet can make that happen. I foresee much RNG, more gem-store items, and farming nerfs so that people cannot make gold to pay for gems. Anet will make you pay real money for gems soon.

I would not buy an expansion, I would not play expansion content, and I certainly would not encourage others to buy an expansion until Anet comes up with better content. They have so much money from rng boxes, yet they make crap content every two weeks. They need to learn to give over some of that money to make better content, and only then would I be slightly interested in playing expansion content.

By the way, you are wrong. Trust me. I’ve calculated the dps of the full zerk warrior and the full zerk guardian, and the warrior beats the guardian every time.

Oh I’ve read the others posts aswell, and you trying to defend running cleric gear in dungeons to keep “bad zerkers” alive just shows how little you actually know about this game. Yes, most zerker groups have trouble staying alive (especially pugs) if there is a kittened cleric prolonging every single fight while doing no more support than what a zerker guardian can do.

My goodness, so much ignorance. I give out much more support as a cleric than a zerker. Sucks for you if you decide to run as a zerker, and I build a defensive class, that means you need to change your build because you can’t survive a fight.

I can’t even tell you how wrong you are. I have to build defense on my Guardian to keep bad berserkers like you from dying in dungeons and in major events like Teq. Apparently you don’t realize that guardians like me keep you alive while you repeatedly try and kill yourselves because you are the bad ones that do not know how to build a balance of Offensive and Defensive stats. The attack animations for PvE are clear, yes, but you’re going to run out of endurance one time or another. And what are you going to do when that happens? The answer is die. I prevent that from happening while doing decent damage, and my dps probably isn’t too much lower than yours.

No, you’re wrong. Watch any speed run from guilds like DnT, Define or rT, they all roll five zerkers.

And for when you run out of endurance, well you can either get an energy sigil for 50% endurance on swap or use one of your class’s defense skills. Mesmers have blurred frenzy, distortion, illusionary riposte and the scepter block. Warriors have shield block, sword block and endure pain. Guardians have virtue of courage, retreat and focus 5.

What actually happens is these zerkers drop because your DPS is trash (and so the room for error increases the longer the fight progresses) and now you go think zerkers are bad. Don’t worry, lots of people think that. They’re wrong, and you’re wrong but if it makes you feel good.

If you think guardian does good dmg then you’ve never played a warrior.

Guardians out-DPS warriors.

“Guardians out-DPS warriors”. That sentence right there shows your ignorance, and as such, discredits your entire post above that. You might as well not have even posted that for all the good it will do. Berserkers suck. End of story. I’d like to see a Teq fight with 100% berserkers. You would all be dead in less than 7 minutes, guaranteed. Anyway, I’m done here. I can see we won’t agree on anything within this section of the forum.

I’m laughing so hard at your post my sides hurt. Berserker gear sucks? Running dungeons with a full pvt/cleric group must be so much fun and more efficient that with “bad” berserker gear. And he is infact right about guardians out dpsing warriors, but I’m not gonna bother explaining that to you because you’re probably one of those “100b hits 40k, where is guardians their 40k skill?” people

While I agree with you that the guy above doesn’t know what he’s talking about, I duno what you’re talking about either. I do fractal 48, and the new aether dungeon on my zerk warrior no problem.

All you need is 1 or 2 support guardians, you don’t need warriors in toughness/knights gear when you’ve got that. It would be a waste of DPS.

I do have a toughness/vitality/power set when I’m against non-crit enemies like teq, so I don’t see what your point is. If you’re playing a warrior and you aren’t in zerk gear, you’re doing it wrong.

I’m talking about the more difficult content like Teq, dungeons, and Fractals here. And let me clarify… when I talk about berserkers sucking for this content, I’m talking about them sucking if there were no support build classes present. The support classes give them that extra boost of health/regen/endurance for the zerks to keep going. I was saying that berzerkers are terrible if they choose to have all zerkers in their party for difficult content. I don’t think berzerkers suck in general. The guy above was saying how my build was completely useless because it kept others alive, and that’s where this argument stemmed from.

Just because you have defensive gear does not make you a bad player. Get it through your thick skulls, people.

Actually, in PvE it does since mobs have such clearly choreographed attacks that they’re quite easy to mitigate through active defense versus stacking defensive stats like healing power, toughness and vitality.

Guardian is definitely a solid class and I love playing mine, but the damage is not comparable to other classes. If you gear up any class in full zerk, you will see guardian is at/near the bottom.

Guardians have higher sustained DPS than warriors, FYI. Then above guardians are triple phantasm mesmers, elementalists and thieves.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

tbh, they’re going to have to really up the stakes on what they put in an expansion to get people to buy it.

Knowing that what they consider “an expansion’s worth of content” are events, a new gear tier and the LS, they’ve got a lot to improve on.

These are my thoughts exactly. With the current content Anet is putting out at the moment, I would not buy an expansion. And though I’ve enjoyed the game, I think it has run its course. For me anyway. The only things I do in the game nowadays are the daily and the monthly and then I log off. They would need a LOT more material in an expansion for me to be even slightly interested

Why all the hate on the ranger?

You have no clue why people think Rangers are bad? Have you never played any other class besides the Ranger?

-Dps absolutely sucks compared to other classes.
-Pet AI sucks and pets get in the way more often than they are helpful.
-Anet made the longbow suck majorly, and now I get kicked from parties every time I use it.
-You only have a few viable builds. The rest are broken.

Before you post a comment about how I have never played a Ranger or I need to learn how to play, let me say this. I’ve played a Ranger since the beginning of Guild Wars 1. I learned the mechanics then, and it was pretty decent. Then I came to Guild Wars 2 and created a Ranger. I played it to level 80 and I still play it today, but only in PvP, because Anet utterly roflstomped the class into the ground for PvE. Trust me, I know how to build classes, and I saw a broken, completely destroyed class when I tried to do well with it like I did in GW1.

You should ask for a re-roll. You are far from the only one. I know people like you who deleted everything just so they can transfer for free. (Although they mostly only have one character and very little gold.)

I’ll try, but I very much doubt that that will happen.

I’m never going to get a legendary, mainly because I will never receive a precursor due to the RNG that is complete and utter garbage. I’ve never looted an item that could sell for more than 2 gold. World completion is incredibly time consuming as well, but I may get around to that in a month or so.

I got a group together one day for AC when I was level 40ish. Everyone else was level 80. They all said they wanted to kick me, but did nothing about it. Everything went perfectly fine in AC, everything was going smooth and I never died, but everyone else in my party got downed at least twice. 2 minutes later, I get a kick and a nice whisper saying, “Don’t come back until you’re level 80”. I sent them a nice message saying, “L2P”. Needless to say, I added them to my friends list so I could plan revenge one day.

I leveled to 80, got a commander title, world completion, and I made a build that let me farm CoF extremely quickly, so quickly in fact, that I actually had people lining up in a queue to join my party for CoF farm runs. So I’m farming one day, and lo and behold, 2 guys that kicked me from AC showed up begging for a run. I let them in. I whisper the other members of the party explaining what happened to me and I tell them my plan. We get to the final boss, and I vote to kick them both when the boss was at 10% health. I got some pretty mean whispers, but all I said was, “Remember me? Now don’t kick lowbies or they may own your life one day”.

Really need a Mace/Shield build.....

in Guardian

Posted by: Galtrix.7369

Galtrix.7369

Well, you’re asking for two separate things. If you want to use a mace/shield combo, you’re going to have to use a tanky build. If you want to use a greatsword, you might as well go full glass cannon if that’s all you’re going to be doing.

This is the build that I’m currently using. It utilizes the healing capabilities and boon duration that the Guardian comes with. http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/2287-dungeon-tank-healing-support-shouter

For WvW however, you will need to use another build. I suggest a berserker type build. Something like this. http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/263-shadow-knight-zanede

Though that build lacks the capabilities to heal yourself efficiently, it makes up for it by utilizing boons and really shows how good the Guardian’s Dps can actually be.

Hope this helps

Im kinda liking this build you got set out here, what gear are you using (mace/shield, armor ?) .Primarily what i need this build for is dungeon running and some wvw but all of you are telling me there isnt a build that is balanced for both. What i want this build to have is primarily a shield. B

Cleric armor and runes as well as cleric trinkets. It really gives a boost to healing. If you find that you need more boon duration, you can always use runes that give you extra boon duration.

Cleric is a waste in PvE. It’s halfway decent in WvW.

Soldier is also a waste in PvE, but is pretty good for a frontline build in WvW.

Play the spec/weap setup you want but don’t make yourself into nothing but your utility spells in a dungeon run. Do some damage, tanks aren’t needed in this game, and anchors don’t have to be wearing PVT gear.

Like hell it is. You obviously don’t play in many group-based events, do you? Not only can you bring the hurt with this build, but it’s mainly to keep your party intact and alive while buffing the crap out of them so they can do as much damage as you’re doing. Let me put it this way… if 40% of players that show up to Teq are guardians with this build… then Teq would literally die in 7 minutes. Not many people can die while having every boon that the guardian can give. You would pretty much have to try and die.

Plus, I just tested this build out in SPvP and it’s really awesome, even though the dps is lacking a little. Practically nobody could kill me while I was beating the crap out of some little Asuras. At the end they all decided to attack me at once and I died in about 12 seconds. Top rank though!

in Guardian

You can still use it…. just not as a primary damage tool. At least not these days I guess. It’s good for ringing in people, stopping stomps and rezzes and a decent blast finisher and immob. /shrug. People have just pushed Guardians into their specialty, which is heavy defense and support type. Although I have seen guards 1vX and kill people very easily, so do whatever you want, is my opinionated answer.

That’s the kind of stupid crap that ruins mmorpgs. I played my ranger in PvP today and got roflstomped by a guardian that was wielding a hammer. Do what you want to do. Build the way you want to build… because eventually, you’ll understand the hammer’s mechanics so well that you can make your own build and people will flock to you and ask you what your build is.

Trust me, I’ve seen this done in WoW before. I played a Pally tank, a druid tank, and a shaman healer. Every single time I went into a dungeon with any of those characters, I would get criticized. At the end of the dungeon, they all added me to their friend’s list and wanted to know what build I was using. One of my builds got so popular that it was number 1 on some class build website for a very long time – I’d say close to a year.

Don’t assume that a server is populated just because it says, “Full”. My old server, Gate of Madness, said Full all the time, yet I couldn’t find a single person in almost 24 hours of playing.

I transferred to Tarnished Coast a couple days ago, and it’s so populated that there are people EVERYWHERE. There were people in the most deserted map areas I could think of. I am very pleased with this server, but I wish other servers were like it as well. I am also overjoyed because it seems like every single nice player in Guild Wars 2 has moved to Tarnished Coast. Take this for example. Someone linked an exotic drop that they looted from a champ, I said “Gimme” as a joke…. 30 seconds later it was in my mail.

Get over yourself. Oh no they added content without fixing the specific bugs that you want! Bugs, I might add, that I personally have not noticed at all.

New hairstyles sounds great!

Then you’re not playing the game if you haven’t noticed any bugs. That’s the only way to not notice them. They haven’t fixed bugs left over from beta, yet they keep piling on more content.

People who make content generally do not have the skill set to fix bugs. Content makers are not generally programmers, and it is the programmers that fix bugs. It makes no sense to have your content makers doing nothing while they wait for bugs to be fixed. Content makers can make and release content while the programmers work on the bugs.

You’re missing my point. The programmers have not fixed bugs from the beta because content makers pile on the content and make the programmers fix the bugs for the newest content and basically say, “Screw the core game, we want the living story fixed now!” No, content makers cannot make and release content while programmers work on the bugs. It doesn’t work that way.

I played on Gate of Madness.

By the way, I just transferred to Tarnished Coast and I can honestly say I’ve seen more people in 2 minutes on TC than I have in 4 months on GoM. Which leads me to my next statement. It is drastic, but pretty much the whole reason I’m transferring is because I can’t find people in PvE, nor can I find them in WvW because nobody does WvW on my server. I thought about farming the 100+ gold I need to transfer, but I just don’t think it’s worth it.

what the hell!?It cost 100+gold just for a transfer? To think it used to be free.

and thank goodness it is not free. It was so bad for the health of the game when it was free. To note, it has been known since before release that world transfers were not going to be free for long, and that it was only free while they continued working on the guesting system, and to let the players to settle to where they want to be.

Unfortunately, you’re right. My server is pretty much dead because the server transfers were free for a short amount of time. Everyone saw their chance to go to a better server and took it.

Well people still flock to the better server problem not solved and here you are whining that your server is empty .

I whine because Anet sits there and does nothing for my server while it just lays there dead. Trust me, I’ve waited months hoping that Anet would combine servers or something of the sort, but nothing was done to improve my server’s condition.
