That’s exactly what we are suggesting… and 3 out of 5 is just not enough, 3 guys come in and decide that this team doesn’t fit perfectly and justresign, so everybody gets moved to the mists and the other team just won.

Yeah and it should be called ‘hero of hotjoin’. Just to encourage more zerging so PvE guys can farm more glory AND achievement points than PvP players.

PvE has 10000x more content than PvP. Still not much, and that says it all.

Try out hotjoin to learn your build and how to counter some other classes, but then move to tournament and ask higher ranked guys about what should you do in the given map, so ask them about your role.

Hotjoin is just a cancer of PvP. It’s mindless zerging, ignoring all tactics, roles and everything. It’s like farming cof p1 all day and you think you can play. But still gives more reward than anything else.

PvP achievement chests are useless. if you ever played some tournaments, you already have most of those skins.

Nobody is doing the story mode of the dungeons, sadly. Maybe giving a token reward, like 30 on 1st completion at the given day.

Start with humans (GW1 was mostly about them) and the continents, Tyria (also the name of the world and the current Gw2 continent), Elona and then Cantha. Get some info about the gods, then try to do the kingdoms. After that, check out the other races and their background.

If you do this you will have the most important parts of the lore i think and will help you greatly to understand further lore elements

It should be a reason to ban or stop you from playing for a time. If in a tournament an arrogant r10 guy gets upset because you tell him what to do because he came straight from hotjoin, and then just decides to be afk for the rest of the battle if something we can do nothing against.

There are no options using the in-game report interface to report somebody for akitteng, but there should be like in Gw1. So if you go afk, people are usually report you as a bot.

How can someone be dependant on a short cycle? I can understand the fact that casuals who don’t have much time want to experience both cycles. However the cycles are only for visual effects at the moment, if I’m not mistaken.

There are some NPCs that spawn only at night, for example the spirit of Captain Greywind. But the main point is to experience the feeling the cycles give.

This way anyone can experience both the night and the day cycles.

There is a recipe for dye in the PvP mystic forge. if you put in the 4 ingredients you get an unidentified dye for 100% chance.

I always keep 250k+ glory just in case if a miracle would happen. But I spend the amount above my limit to dyes.

Put them in the PvP tab, so you can use them on any other you take them off with.

Seriously, they are the ones who really know what the community thinks. Before making plans for the future, they should just ask the forum moderators what do they think about that.

It’s called giving content. Currently, if you get a bit bored of conquest, all you can do is to go afk/leave/do PvE.
If your team is offline, you can either destroy your rating or your brain cells in hotjoin.

I think Arenanet has potential, they just either got no resources for PvP or entirely wrong concept.

Yes, PvE material from Pvp chests sounds logical. Not.

Chest would be around 2 silvers, because I bet many many players have started to stack them because it looks cool or just not worth the effort to open it. They would flood the market, and i don’t think PvE guys would buy PvP chests because of a random chance for a random dye along with totally useless stuff for them.

Or the unid dye price would just go down because of this, and chests would worth some coppers only.

I ask because it seems as though you should play what you like. I enjoy GW2 PvP more than I did GW1 PvP, so I play GW2 PvP. If you like GW1 PvP, and there is still enough people to get games, why not just go play it?

We hardly had enough players for HA 1-2 months before GW2’s launch, but now only multiboxers and bots are able to play due to low population number.

Unless we get better loots from win chest nobody will buy them. I got all the skins 100x even if i was just r30 back then.

I just want a response from arenanet telling we aren’t forgotten. But this will never happen. They don’t speak to us, veetrans. I like them, they are my fav company and i had much faith.

Another clue about this could be the new Speedy Reader achievement in Ebonhawke. For those that don’t know, it includes references to marching south to meet a threat coming from Crystal Desert. That was several hundred years ago in-game and it could just be adding an achievement that was needed, but could also be pointing towards it.

The threat were the charrs. And this achievement is in the game since release, it was just hidden, but you could complete.

PvP shouldn’t be entirely about skins. Because skins are now worthless there anyways.

Let’s say for example, hotjoin 1 hour: 1.5k glory
Tournament 1 hour: 600 glory, and because we lack unrated, some people just don’t play pvp when their team is offline, = less time, less glory, less effecctive format, and still a better player than a hotjoin grinder

Hotjoin 1 hour = 3k glory
Tournament 1 hour = 1200 glory

Also, gloryboosters would be the way to buy progress.

Yet, do you know how much rank points are required to gain rank 80? You wouldn’t make 1 rank point=1 glory. Not to mention, if you aren’t playing tournaments because your team isn’t playing; then just do hotjoins.

I don’t farm gold either. I play PvP. And not the mini-wvw hotjoin. And you are right about the ‘time is the currency thing’ :P But glory is useless, and nobody would buy an useless currency from gms. Once we can spend glory on something unique, we can talk abut that. But I don’t think this will ever happen. more likely the ‘I play pvp, buy the stuff and sell on TP for gold and exchange the gold for gems’ method, because you will have to play PvP for that PvP reward. Yes, but with Zhaitan still active, he could have undone that easily. The pact dispatched him fast enough to prevent this.

Zhaitan isn’t refered as “The Zhaitan”. He is called Zhaitan. And why would’t they call all the EDs Zhaitans, then?

Med.6150, great points! To piggyback a little on what kirito.4138 said, are you also fine with having every map be a conquest map? Or do you think that new game modes would/should not require respecing as well?

I guesss what I’m getting at is, what is it about changing your spec that you do not like? Is it just having to learn how to play a different spec, or is it the idea of having to click all those buttons and change your gear around (ie helped with templates)?

New gamemodes would be awesome, but new maps are needed for them I think. These maps are just ways bigger than what we need for a deatmatch for example or king of the hill.

What I’d like to see is Heroes’ Ascent Where you get from one gamemode to another in a chain, you are able to change your skills and traits for 1 min before the game starts.

Templates would be useful here, too.

Also, winning Hall of Heroes was the greates reward PvP could give, currently PvP has no feeling of epicness. You join the match, win, restart. You join the match, lose, restart. This gave us a sense of progression and to get consecutive wins did matter. And to be on the top of the foodchain even just for 2 matches at HoH, was awesome.

Keep conquest your competitive scene, but that alone won’t carry the 80% of the population who actually want to play an MMO PvP, not an e-sport playground of 8 dedicated teams.

It’s awesome how people can argue about how to take a totally obvious statement by a dev.

I doubt they spend days about formulating some sentences to totally include everything you want to know and denying only the false parts, but in a totally unnoticed way. Stop theorycrafting about everything. If something is obvious, swallow it.

Who can stay in the top 100 after the event is gone, would get a reward.

Because, win actually gives the same reward as the 12th place. Nobody is motivated after got the title. So the 1st 3 places should get better rewards, maybe fortne cookies.

We have the Bar Brawl achievements in-game for roughly 6 months now, and still no mini game.

Maybe they only blocked trade with other races, and humans, like Cobiah, were still welcome.

Or the isolationist period was needed only for a short time just to solidify the new inner structure of the society, maybe 30-50 years.
