Fate has smiled upon us. Word is that DR will be dropping to tier 7 today to replace SF. That puts us against paxa and kom naturally. Hopefully this will be a stable engaugement., then we fill the third server with whoever else wants in.

paxa/kom are dropping down to T8

-dungeon DR refreshes daily.
-open world DR for a zone goes away the more play time you have in other zones.
-MF and DR don’t interact beyond the fact that they have opposite effects on loot tables.

Your eyes are just not correctly interpreting what they’re seeing.

for example: when a mob goes unkilled for a long time, they have an XP bonus attached to them which gets bigger the longer they’ve been alive. that’s partly why killing the same mobs doesn’t always give the same amount of XP.

so if you come upon on a mob, kill it, wait for it to respawn and then kill it again, you’ll always get less xp the second time.

A: your loot and XP are your own, what you get and what others get are not tied together. if you kill a spider and you see someone else pick up loot from it, it’s not your loot, it’s theirs.

B: You need to develop a better build and learn how to play it better. this isn’t the kind of game where you can level up and let the math carry you once things get tougher. You beat tougher mobs by being a better player.

Oh boy, 3.47 points. I was really enjoying the fights in this tier, but I suppose there will be plenty of good fights while we get crushed by SF.

I think SF/DR and GoM/HoD trading ranks are tied together, not sure one can happen without the other, math-wise.

That was my point. If HoD drops down and you pull many of the players that don’t focus on objectives to Tier8, you won’t really have to worry about the server moving back up and having to re-transfer back into tier8.

your game play focus will solidify your low ranking and overtime you might even drive more objective-based t8 players to t7 servers.

it’s win-win for mostly everyone.

I know that HoD is probably going to fall into that tier in the next week or so, but no idea how long they’ll be there.

Assuming you guys stay on HoD and attract even more players that don’t participate in objective/score-based play to join you… it’ll stay in t8 in perpetuity.

The hero names are just another way to represent the different stats, as opposed to carrion, rabid, soldier, etc..

they are not intended to each have unique models

As for people making snide remarks, enough already with where is HoD crap. The fighters that show up and try are not deserving of your flippant dismissals since it’s obvious we are lacking bodies for map coverage.

I think most of the “where’s HoD?” comments/attitudes comes from the (possibly unfounded) perception that you did have those numbers during the first two weeks of the match-up..whereas this week you have been a relative ghost town.

So it’s not a comment on your overall status/population/capability.. it’s genuine puzzlement as to where did all those players we’ve been seeing for weeks suddenly disappear to?

including player kills in the score will only lead to match manipulation. There’s already enough problems with cross server spying/griefing and badge farming.. now we’d end up with a bunch of players sitting outside of spawn letting their buddies farm points off of them.

I put in a bug report with no kitten response.

Once you submit a bug report, it goes into a queue behind all the per-existing bug reports. That means it’ll take time before anyone reads it.

Once someone has read the bug, they’ll triage it.

Assuming it’s not a situation they’re already working on, they’ll have to spend time to investigate, first by trying to recreate it (including as many pertinent details as possible in your report will help immensely with that) and then by figuring out what’s actually causing it.

Then they have to decide how to best fix it.

Then they have to test that fix.

Once all that has happened, they’ll reply to you with accurate information.

So, be patient and be polite. The tone you’ve used in your posts won’t make any of the above happen one micro-second faster, all it does is make you appear extremely childish.

We’re currently in week 3 of the match-up and SF isn’t going anywhere as long as the T6 scores keep stabilizing as they have been.

The option of the two “losing” servers joining forces is there… but that’s rarrely how the metagame works out. In this case, HoD decided early in the matchup to play for second place so NSP has since been showing them the errors of their way.

and now HoD apparently decided to stop playing altogether.

I don’t think SF is moving up out of tier7 anytime soon, even with HoD’s apparent collapse (or “waiting out”, as you call it).

Anet knows that “big balance patches” are a horrible idea.

balance changes should always be done in small increments to minimize the number of interactions that need to be re-examined and to allow the meta to learn and adapt.

I have started playing shortly after launch and played really hardcore to this day, got 2600+ playing time.

I’d venture that what’s “killing the game” for you is rather tied to the fact that you’ve been playing it over 10 hours a day for every single day since release.

You should also report all the players that didn’t follow you.

and the ones that did follow you but took too long to get there.

also, a few of them had crappy builds, report them too.

If you disconnect while in combat, you die.

I never kill in the JPs

I just choose the most time-consuming missed jump location and push/pull them off.
