The thing is (to a roamer) you won’t be unkillable just a little slow to down, and 100% trivial because yay! no dps whatsoever.
Nike Nomad Roaming Warrior. I’m not going to solo camps, but you’ll have to find me killing your yaks, then you have catch me, but you’re never going to kill me.
Zerker thief with Nomad Trinkets. I am going to solo your camps. You’ll never see me doing it and you’ll never catch me. You will never kill me.
Poor you.
Cactus Soup is similar to Mango Pies, 85 health per second except with +70 toughness.
But none are listed on the TP, so I guess they are account bound on crafting them.
It requires very few uses of those skills.
The Team of One, rides to the rescue again.
Seriously can someone make a video and show how ""HARD"" it is to do the new personal story? It’s so hard to press 1 AND w??
Are you prepared to watch a 4 hour video? Because that’s how long it took me to do the personal story. I’m 50 years old. The jumping and other garbage required here is not easy.
Have you guys actually tried and failed these jumps?
Yes, and I’ve pretty much had it up to my eyeballs with this map, but I want these recipes.
(edited by Herr der Friedhoefe.2490)
Why can’t we have multiple way to progress. It’s not a new “Jumping Puzzle”….
Yes it is. All this waiting and hype for a new jumping puzzle…. ><
Is the puzzle as difficult as Mad King Clock Tower? I don’t want to be coming home from work stressed out to have to deal with constant failure.
not even close…..it’s more comparable to getting to the top of the zypher ship
They were the same thing for me. Not even close to doable. No thanks.
These two items both show up in the cooking discovery now. Nopale needs another item and Prickly Pear shows up with butter and flour but needs another item.
So it’s an intermediary item and I can tell you it’s not candy corn glaze.
Edit: Prickly Pear needs a Pile of Cinnamon and Sugar. With the flour and butter you make the Prickly Pear Pie filling. The Pie recipe itself is at the vendor on the new map.
Edit II: Prickly Pear Pie consumable gives +40% condi duration and 33% chance to steal life on crit This pie is account bound.

Yeah, and they are stupid expensive too. I’ve sifted through about 120 fine sand so far and I got exactly 1 geode. We need what? 50 for the cheapest recipe?
Anet doesn’t make grindy games.
I’m not a fan of this map. It’s another stupid jumping puzzle on steroids with some story line built in, and it’s mostly unplayable for the last 20 minutes of each hour.
I’ve died more often tonight just trying to complete this map, than I would in an evening of playing WvW. I don’t play games for the pure joy of falling to my death.
I would like to get these recipes too, but the sheer numbers of geodes needed will turn this map into a full time job. But you know? Anet doesn’t make grindy games!
What would we cook with Cactus?
They can’t place a minimum level for WvW. There are traits and skill points to unlock before 80.
I’m absolutely certain that white knight defenders are not the solution.
The only thing you achieve here is to get the rest of us even more kittened off about the situation.
(edited by Herr der Friedhoefe.2490)
Krall, the “holes” are public knowledge. You don’t have to be a google expert, or a GW2 dev to know where to look. They don’t care, so please stop defending them at every turn.
Yeah, I know. Infracted.
Laurel vendor sells them too.
I’m not going to argue with your numbers, or your plans, but unless you plan to pull out your credit card and simply buy most of the this stuff I really suggest you break it down into small steps.
Get karma, buy obsidian shards, bank the clovers (and a lot of mats along the way).
Run the dungeons for those tickets and gifts.
Map exploration.
Maintain your sanity while you keep going.
With the Wings of Dwayna? Very nice.
Precursor first and foremost
I’m with you. I have one legendary and I wont even think about starting on another unless I have the precursor in the bank. I’m not going anywhere near the mystic toilet to get it.
I like your sarcasm, so I’m getting in before the fix.
Seriously, WvW needs a change to PPT, and that’s all. Night capping needs to go.
A server should earn points for capping a point, and then defending that point against other active attacks. Simply holding the point over time should not award anything. The active defense should award points equal to the cap.
Zergs will not die with this idea because you still would need to cap each point as fast as possible, to deny active defense score, but many more players would be playing defense too.
Oh look, this again. No thanks.
Grind
Rundungeons, you make 50g/day. Then just buy out the cores.
Fixed that for you.
You never know where you might find cool things. http://guildwars2.tumblr.com/
These are the sort of things we need more of
No we don’t. Anet could just as easily host fan art on these forums.
I crafted exactly one Ascended armor set and Anet nerfed it the next week.
I’m not making another one.
A jp to get to a dragon? Nope. Thanks.
I don’t need an emergency to go AFK. A beer, a football game, or the pizza dude at the door are more than enough reason for me to go AFK.
Poor you.
Ok then. Everybody can play their own way right? Then I want have option not to play with leechers and afkers. Right now I am not able play my own way.
You want this, and you’re playing an MMO? Try Skyrim. You would probably like it.
Who said I was abusing it? I wasn’t in that match, but I have “scored for the other side” more than few times just because I wanted to get that achieve done.
Go ahead, report me. I don’t mind.
I have seen much worse in WvW, and Anet does nothing.
AFK is now illegal? Well, dang.
Does this mean I have to log out while making myself a snack, or when I answer the door or answer the phone?
As for “scoring for the other team”? I didn’t bring my team to this event and I got stuck with you, just like you got stuck with me. Any goal I score counts for my achieves. Don’t blame players for poor game design.
(edited by Herr der Friedhoefe.2490)
A greater range of rewards is devspeak for “more junk that you don’t want or need”.
Of course we don’t like it. Anet cares?
If not, is there any way for me to craft gear while I’m on my Guardian and put it in my bank for my Warrior?.
Of course.
You know what’s blowing my mind here?
Someone is still playing this game, expecting reasonable rewards for the time spent.
C’mon people. This is Anet. Anet doesn’t make rewarding games. They make grindy games.
Does this thing actually work?
As far as I know I’ve never been hit by one and we use them a lot on our server. I was throwing cows at the red server coming out of the dredge in EB last night, and I threw one of these healing oasis as our zerg went in. I saw the splash, but no healing numbers coming up, as compared the damage done by the cows poison.
Does anyone have more info?
Your impenatrable wall trap would just become a constant spawn camp blocking tool.
None, so I’m probably going to just hold onto my tickets for now. I like the dagger and axe but my thief already has a pair of mystic daggers that look great and the axe just doesn’t fit with the armor on my warrior or necro.
I want to see rock fall traps at places like the Pangloss, Danelon or Rogues supply camps. Yes I balanced that for one per color/corner.
Players should be able to evade, or it causes huge damage, and after being triggered would deny entry or exit from that side (including yaks), until cleared. This would be strategic and provide for offense, and defense and supply denial. You shouldn’t be able to trap both entries at the same time.
I would also like to be able to raise a drawbridge. This should prevent PvD and force players to build siege, but of course I would have to be inside the tower to raise that drawbridge. That might need a moat around the towers though, so it might have to be limited to certain towers where it would make sense that water is flowing past.
I do not expect these ideas to go anywhere.
To the best of my knowledge, this is the last we heard on the issue…
It is definitely not intentional and we are looking into it.

I think it’s safe to say that they don’t care.
They were excluded exactly because they are the stat selectable back pieces.
It would be nice to be able to craft those items, and sell them, but nooooo……
We players don’t know, and the dev’s aren’t saying.
Sucks, but that’s the way Anet does things most of the time.
it is
just do the reward tracks
and if you consider that you just get it while doing something fun anyway…
And when it isn’t much fun? How do we gain Tomes of Knowledge?
Not bothered about any of those things. Sorry.
I’m even less enamoured by the idea of paying to have these things implemented
I’m with you. I couldn’t give a toss about any of those, and I would not pay money for any of them. Ok, I can see that proper GvG needs to be implemented because it is such a large part of the WvW endgame, but I would not pay for it.
While they’re at it? Guild commander tags. Thanks.
While we’re on the topic of “paying for content”, this thread is the direct result of the Anet/NCSoft decision to monetize “missed content”. Now people seem to think that “paying for content” is the new normal, despite the fact that it is the “old normal”.
(edited by Herr der Friedhoefe.2490)
There was a Ready Up with Grouch and Jessica Boettiger and she specifically said that players should keep any unused tickets for the next seasons rewards. Check their twitch.tv channel for more details.
my guild mate keeps saying make the 10x 77 clover first so I get t6s too but no know if with 300skillpoint+1m karma will be enought to reach 250 on each stack and 77clover.
Your guild mate is correct. Making your clovers is your next step. That process will use up a lot of ectos and burn up karma, but will give a lot of t6 mats in return. You wont get 250 of each item, but it will help.
Making a legendary is a bunch of small steps. You have to keep asking, “what’s next?”.
Let’s get to the point. Make a date for the next one, create some topics to focus on and let’s get started.
What for?
The biggest improvement to WvW was the situation with lag, particularly in EB/SM fights. We are way better off than before. Otherwise, the change to weekly reset times for EU players is probably the next biggest thing. I think they changed a skill name in WXP tree. They probably think that was an improvement too.
EoTM may have had a vision of WvW goodness but it has turned into a karma train and a place to level characters quickly, particularly if you’re lucky enough to be in the green corner.
I’m sure the rest of the stuff we built our lists with is gathering dust somewhere.
Buff them and the loot and make them instanced, otherwise I’m not playing with randoms.
While I don’t think Teq or THW need a nerf, I don’t want to play content where my success or rewards depends on 149 of my closest friends, and many of them not even using the same language client that I’m using.
It is worth to have cooking and jewelry crafting on one character because those two are the easiest in terms of materials needed. You can get everything just by picking up mats as you go. You don’t have to salvage a thing.
Cooking is particularly cheap and you start by finding the vendor for Trail Mix.
The very top level gear can only be gotten by crafting but in the mean time you can get some pretty good stuff, cheaper, using karma, dungeon tokens or badges of honor from WvW.
They typically release details and trailers exactly one week before the patch day.
That said, we have much worse issues with other weapons/skills I’d rather have Anet spend time on. Unfortunately they seem to be focused more on skills that don’t need as much love, evidenced by the recent Mind Stab thread.
I pretty much scream murder every time my iwarden stands there and looks at a target, but Anet is looking at Mind Stab? Ok, Mind Stab as a field finisher would be cool, but it’s hardly a priority.
I was playing with those when they were “expensive”, but cheap compared to today. We don’t have a lot of condi removal. It was my opinion then that they weren’t worth the price.
Those sigils are a lot more expensive today.
Because yet another CDI that gets ignored is sooooooo….. neeeded, at this point in time.
