I want raptors. If the ogres can have them, so should we.
That aside, there’s at least a dozen or so pets Anet could add with little effort, just from existing variants of pet types, and this is just off the top of my head:
one cat (alpine stalker)
one dog (coyote)
two bears (plated behemoth and adult polar bear. Okay, the behemoth isn’t actually a bear but it uses its animations like the murellow)
three birds (tropical bird, osprey, adult eagle)
two drakes (scaled drake, basilisk)
two pigs (jungle boar and woolly siamoth)
several fish (gulper fish, sea scorpion, and the like)
two sharks (that unnamed reddish-brown one and the Ice Shark)
two moas (green and golden)
one spider (hirsute ice spider)
And here I was kind of hoping they wouldn’t repeat that asian minipet thing they did in GW1…
All those ideas are terrible, the last thing legendaries need is to be even more grindy.
The Shatterer justs needs to lay down an environmental field around it (like the one that Claw has) that covers the area to its sides so you can’t stand on that little hill and attack it. It’s clearly meant to be fought head-on.
I bought 4 of them. One put me on the fisherman’s shack in southwest Queensdale, one dropped me next to a balloon tower in Sparkfly Fen, one put me on top of a (presumably otherwise inaccessible) mountain in Harathi Hinterlands, and the last one just knocked me down.
Maguuma’s got the same problem.
The problem is that the aetherblades are dramatically more rewarding than the other two types, so people focus on them to the exclusion of everything else.
Making the other two work like the aetherblades currently do (bunch of veterans with some champions mixed in, followed by another event with a champion “boss”), or the aetherblades work more like the other two would fix this.
staff with melee skills instead of ranged? Sort of like the reverse of guardian spear and ranger/necromancer axes.
Just to add insult to injury, they’ve been conspicuously ignoring underwater weapons in almost every set of recent weapon skins (aetherblade and zenith have them, and that’s been basically it. No Fused, no Jade, no Sovereign, no Zodiac…)
Hell, they can’t even be bothered to give most tridents and harpoon guns a unique model as opposed to “Staff/Rifle of X Set, but underwater”.
I had this happen in Diessa. Strangely, the next batch of ghosts that respawned after I killed the bugged ones were normal.
I hate the way female norn hold greatswords sort of just… straight out to the side or something. I wish they’d carry them in the air like male humans, or over their shoulder like the asura do.
Each champion and event that produces champions should have a node flag.
So you can only get boxes from each different one once a day.
People should be exploring the World! Traveling to exotic, distant lands. Meeting exciting, unusual people, and killing them!
Not sticking to 5 enemies in the same spot.
Yeah, this. There’s still dozens of champions in the game, maybe a hundred or more, and a lot of them are still being left unkilled right now. Getting people to scour the entire map of champions is a win-win, they get loot and the champions stop cluttering up the map and contesting waypoints for everyone else.
Putting some sort of limit might force people to spread out and kill the champions that, even now, are left alone to run rampant. Every zone has a ton of them, so you’d have to farm pretty kitten hard to run out.
The crafting refinement one is bugged for me.
You also can’t ignore that unlike the first half of the Claw of Jormag fight, the second half is very poorly explained. The barrels labeled “Charrzookas” begin dispensing flamethrowers, it’s not clear that anything happens when the golems get to the dragon, and it’s not clear when he’s stunned and safe to approach (yes, his posture changes, but it’s easy to miss).
Basically, the player is put into a situation where they cannot attack the dragon directly (no charrzooka, unless they kept one from the previous stage), have no clear way to directly influence the removal of that limitation, and have NPCs shouting at them to “watch the cliffs” where all the enemies spawn. They’re also told to “protect the golems,” but firstly, it’s not immediately clear that the ice pillars pose a threat to them, and second, standing around trying to destroy pillars before someone else is not exactly a riveting experience, nor does it make them feel particularly helpful when there are only so many to go after.
So yes, most players will resort to attacking the mobs. They’re a clear, actionable threat they’re being told to attack, and it’s not made clear when they should stop and attack the claw.
Also, killing ice spikes doesn’t even help half the time, because they leave behind an AOE field that kills the golems just as quickly as the spikes did.
Assuming you can even see the spikes or the golems or anything else with the rampant culling, for that matter.
For the record, quite a few world boss pre-events can fail. The golem can fail, the fire elemental can fail (the CLEAN-5000 gets reprogrammed by the Inquest and you have to destroy it), and there are a lot of others that could theoretically do so even though I’ve never seen it because there’s usually at least a few people hanging around while the window’s open.
So you want the entire world to be like Orr, or WvW for that matter, where if you die you have to run back from halfway across the zone to get back? I’ll pass, thanks.
That whole meta-event is a mess, scaling-wise, and the ghosts that precede him are almost as tough as he is.
The Heart of the Mists doesn’t count towards map completion, so wubwub maps shouldn’t either (and Southsun should).
The one time I used it I couldn’t loot the chest (and I got that “this is a practice round” message you sometimes get when joining a nearly-finished race), so I think it’s an oversight.
While we’re at it, Taidha Covington herself needs to be scaled up, she dies so fast you’re barely able to tag her.
I have 12 characters, with an extra 13th slot I just bought and haven’t used yet.
I’ve got three humans (guardian, ranger, and mesmer), three norn (warrior, ranger, and mesmer), three sylvari (warrior, thief, and elementalist), two asura (guardian and necromancer), and one charr (engineer).
It was always supposed to fold like the axe does, it’s got hinges all over it.
I for one welcome them ironing out all the inconsistent stuff like this (maybe they’ll get the charr t1 sword and axe next, or fix the lionguard and vanguard tridents to use their proper models).
Afaik risen knights can be combined with any other masterwork rarity minis and it gives you another masterwork mini.
There was a bug where it could give you higher rarity minis and some people were taking advantage of it so that was patched out. Since the patch, im not sure if the mini you get from the forge is account bound or not.
You’ll just have to wait for someone that tried it post patch to chime in, or try it yourself.
It wasn’t a bug, Anet just didn’t forsee what would happen when they released a cheap forgeable rare minipet (which the knights were before they were downgraded in rarity).
I went to Ebonhawke and read one of the books and the achievement didn’t progress at all.
Unfortunately, when I used this talent today, on even terrain, it did not work as the tool tip says.
It also did NOT break the stun either. Useless talent as it is currently designed…if in fact it is supposed to work as the tool tip says. I think it is bugged. It never worked for me when I first tried it and I thought it had been fixed, but it is still broken.
Were you immobilized? Because the game doesn’t count that as a “stun” for some reason, even though it logically should.
Just off the top of my head:
-The Blood Witch in Kessex Hills
-The Krait Witch in Timberline
-Victurus the Shattered in Iron Marches
-The ghosts in Barradin’s tomb in the Plains of Ashford (maybe add the ghost/statue Barradin fight from the charr prologue in there as the finale)
All of them are events that hardly anyone ever does, and Plains of Ashford is the only starter zone without a world boss in it.

He was way more powerful than a soloable risen left to rot on the top of a tower. :P
That’s debatable.
(by which I mean the Lich was kind of pathetic in both missions you fight him)

I will point out that it took more effort to kill Zhaitan than it did to kill Abaddon (who was killed by 8 people hitting him in the face for a while, essentially).

lol which server have EMPTY fireheart rise?
I think they’re talking about the 50-60 zones, which are usually fairly dead (especially Timberline)
It happened in Maguuma as well.
My stats. 5000 gems, ~3000 coffers (if it possible to count). Realy heavy big bag of gold and real money.
Jade GS, 2 axes, scepter, greatbow, shield, hammer, staff. 8 tickets. Its 8 tickets. And bad taste after getting this tickets. Because its about 200 bucks.P.S. And yes, i know that no one forced me to spend my money…
Ladies and Gentlemen, the reason Anet does things this way in the first place.
Why is Orr so underpopulated these days? Is every player seriously in it for the karma and gold? What happened to just playing for fun?
If people are looking for fun, they’re sure as hell not going to find it in Orr.
They definitely changed something in the last few days, before that I’d run into Aetherblade projectors fairly regularly, and now I’m encountering nothing but the regular ones.
There’s also the light armor called Rubric in the PVP gallery, which isn’t available either.
Most of the armor rewards share a skin with an easily accessible armor set, usually one bought with karma.
I know loads of people that opened just a few hundred and got a ticket.I opened about 1000+ and i have 4 tickets…Play more, open more..Theyre so easy to get.
And other people have opened thousands and got jack, that’s how RNG works and why people are complaining. It took me 1300 coffers to get one ticket, for example.
Ticket for achievement is wrong imo.The weapon will lose being special right there…since every man and his wife and his kid will be wearing one after having done 10 achievements….The RNG on these things is to keep it a special item.
Who gives a kitten if the weapon is “special”? Some of us choose weapon skins because we like the way they look, not because other people don’t have them.
Shorten up the loot tables to drop T6 mats more frequently.
They really need to clean up loot bags so they only contain items of their own tier, for starters
Everyone knows about that tribal armor, but it doesn’t seem like the Rubric Armor from the PVP gallery drops is available in PVE either. I don’t see why, since it’s a really nice skin.
I think all back Items do that during certain attacks. I’ve seen a guild flag and guild backpack do it too.
They do terrible damage though, which makes actually killing things underwater a lot harder than it needs to be.
Charr can dye their manes in those colors.
75% of the waypoints in Orr are permanently contested, even when there’s no events nearby that would be affecting them. I don’t know if they’re bugged or Anet are just sadistic, but it’s dumb as hell.
Abominations need a nerf across the board, they’re insane to deal with at Veteran or above everywhere they appear (even in the personal story, like that one in the ossuary mission).
I’d rather have Marjory’s armor.
Heavily resembled Paragon armor, which was leather at the time.
Paragon armor was heavy armor.
If you really spent 300 on rich coffers, you’re the type of person making things miserable for everyone else
I’ve opened over 1000 coffers and have absolutely nothing to show for it but stacks of worthless candy, food, and potions (why are those elemental potions even IN that loot table?), and over a dozen minis. kitten it, anet, I just want a dragon greatsword and longbow, why is this so hard?
I want Vabbian, specifically necromancer Vabbian.
Just once I’d like to see a suggestion that makes rewards suck less not get drowned in a tide of “kitten you, got mine”. Just once.
