This is why I don’t buy keys. Why the F would anyone pay real cash for a small chance of maybe getting something shiny? I just can’t figure out the thought process behind that.
How about paying cash to support the MMO you like? Granted I’m not saying everyone should chuck 60 bucks on RNG, but 10 bucks a month or something doesn’t seem so bad to me.
I’d rather spend it on “sure thing” like the infinite tools or similar and not RNG, though.
I’m the same way. I’ll pay c ash for extra banks slots, character slots, limitless harvesting tools, cool skins, or the odd make over kit to support the MMO I enjoy. Not some stupid RNG item that has horrible odds of getting the item you want. I guess gambler will be gamblers.

I’m hoping that if the Ellen wins and the fuse weapon facility gets added to the Fractals that we might have a rare chance of dropping a fuse weapon ticket in it.

I betting my money on mats of all tiers. My guess is that T7 will probably require a combination of t1 to t6 mats along with ectos of course. There is also the fact that Anet is going to revamp reward system. T6 Mats might b so rare anymore and the supply might increase proportionally to the demand resulting in no increase at all. They also said that crafting ascended will be time gated and that will also reduce the impact on market prices.

The only time I go to SS cove is when I feel like farming sharks or barracudas for some scales. Every other mob in that place is kittening annoying to fight and not worth the time to spit at.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Warriors have low sustain, we can tank a decent burst, we can deal an awesome burst but in a prolonged fight we run out of ways to heal and die. That being said, in WvW there are a few warrior builds that are still pretty kitten good and can hold their own against a Guardian. The only problem in killing him before his friends arrive.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I think the best way would be to have a vendor which will let you change your MF gear into whatever stat combo and rune choice that you want and let you keep the skin and keep everything bound to whatever toon it was bound to. I bought MF gear for MF and not the other stats, I’m sure I’m not the only one. Now that it is being removed, just replacing the stat to something like boon duration would render all that gear pretty much useless cause it wouldn’t really fit any of my builds. As for all the MF gear and mats on the TP just pay out all the sell orders. Everyone wins, nobody loses.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I like to farm events like this. I say farm it while you can but if someone comes along and wants to clear the event then you should either help or shut the kitten up and go farm somewhere else. You do realize that by being a prick and harassing the people trying to complete the chain will only end in them filing a complaint and Anet nerfing the kitten out of yet another good farm. Be courteous and we might all be able to enjoy it for a while longer.

I will spend 2400 gems yesterday for an Endless Repair Canister. Thank you very much, and have a nice day.
That and an Endless City Portal to LA. I’d would also pay 4800 gems for an endless Master Salvage kit.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
There is also crafting. Keep a eye on the price of ingredients for certain items and consumables. Place buy orders when they are low. Craft and sell the finished product at a profit. It’s a little more work but you have a greater diversity of stuff to work with and more ways to make some G. I’ve been averaging 15-20g per day (30-60 mins of actually playing TP).
I also prefer not sell large amounts at a time cause it really sucks putting a 250 stack of something and have 15 people undercut you with 1000 sell orders. There is an opportunity cost to having that money stuck in the market cause you can’t reinvest into other avenues. I’ll craft a couple dozen and wait for them to sell before I craft more. Later on when I have a larger operating budget I might be able to afford to have a couple hundred gold worth of stuff waiting to be sold but until then it’s baby steps.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
It almost never leaves my bar. I find it more useful in the smaller fights where you can anticipate you enemy’s moves and have them waste a good burst. In the infinite pool of AoE rings you find in ZvZ it looses some of it’s usefulness due to still receiving a ton of condition damage but if you use it with Balance stance or Dolyak Signet it can allow you to push through the zerg at your tower gates and into the tower.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
i hope you are not saying that warrior lacks survivability in WWW because being one of the best classes and most popular for WWW would suggest the opposite.
So much confusion everywhere between pvp and www
I think he is referring to sustain. I can jump in on my warrior if everything is up I can stay in for a bit and get out but you kind of have to get far out as in reset your health many times. A ele doesn’t really have to break combat just create enough space to get your heals off and go right back in if your running signet of restoration then you don’t really have to break combat often ele does have the ways to replenish health that don’t rely on a 30 sec cd or 25 if you take mending. I wouldn’t say it is far in a elementalists favor though warriors can stay in pretty decent after the recent buffs.
That is exactly what I meant. It’s true that the recent buffs have helped sustainability on the warrior but it still is no where near as good as the ele. Last night we had a 3 zerg fight for SM and fought trapped on the second floor for over 10 min. An awesome battle that we eventually lost but none the less, my ele survived to the end. My warrior (not a zerk but a well balanced WvW build) would have run out of heals 8 mins ago and died (without the help from Ele and guradian heals and buffs), even with Melandru Runes and Lemongrass food + cleansing ire and dogged march.

I main a warrior just recently leveled an ele and I don’t get why all the complaining. Sure I can’t DPS like crazy like a warrior does but I can survive a lot more and support my team a lot better that with my warrior (banner warriors suck and are totally useless btw). I mainly WvW and do some PvE and even though I can’t faceroll pve content with my ele like I do on the warrior or guardian it is still pretty good (unlike the ranger which is awful in PvE). In WvW however the ele kicks kitten cause it is so versatile. I got a hybrid staff-D/D trait/gear setup where all I have to do is quickly swap weapons and a few major traits to go from zerg combat support to roaming pain in the kitten . If you can’t outrun a mesmer your should L2P.

It was public knowledge, everyone had access to it. It is not insider information when everyone has access to it All you had to do is put 2 and 2 together. I was late to the party cause of real life obligations but even I made a few gold from it.

Cost of the mats plus 15% to pay your taxes is the minimum price anyone with half a brain would sell for. Then it is just a matter of how much profit you want to make.

If you’re selling siege you likely don’t care about wvw anyway… otherwise there’s a dozen commanders willing to take donations on your server I’m sure.
I don’t quite understand why people who can afford to throw 100g on a badge would need donations lol. Shouldn’t it be the other way around, commanders giving out siege to people who follow them?
I hope you are trolling. If not, thinking like this is why I am always broke. Too many people not willing to share the cost of waging war and leaving it up to the commander to pay for everything.

The new JP is hard, yes, but it’s hard because of learning the new mechanics and being very careful. As soon as you know what each thing does and the good, easy spots then it’s easy.
It’s like the Mad King puzzle. People freaked out over that and said it was difficult. It was not difficult all the way through until you learned. You just didn’t know where to go. As soon as you figured it out you could do it multiple times.
The only difficult AND unreasonable achievements in this game are the WvW achievements. Some of them will take years to properly do.
lol, who the heck thought that killing 1 million yaks was a reasonable achievement. 2 yaks spawn from a camp every 5 min. it would take 6 or 7 years of camping a supply shack 24hrs a day. They should award 1million achievement points and free copy of GW3 to the poor no life that completes that one.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
You can buy 1000+ regular coffers for 10g. In 1000 coffers you can easily get a ticket or 2 and maybe even 3. Why anyone would waste money on rich dragon coffers is beyond me.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I couldn’t care less about how it looks, I just don’t want to ever run out of axes in the middle of a harvest. Isn’t that the point of an unlimited harvesting tool? They could have made it without any animation whatsoever and I still would have bought it.

Show me this inflation you speak of.
http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/24358
There has been a massive drop in sell listings a relatively stable amount of buy listings and thus a massive rise in price.
When you nerf the kitten out of the ability to farm materials and then do not nerf one dungeon speed run which pumps gold galore into the economy, then you get inflated prices.
Is CoF totally to blame for rising prices? Ofc it isn’t.
Is everything inflated out of whack? Ofc it isn’t.
Does it make any sense whatsoever to nerf the heck out of pretty much every farm in the game and leave the biggest gold farm of them all totally untouched? Ofc it doesn’t.
Does the disparity between CoF and pretty much everything else make any sense? Ofc it doesn’t.
Does “oh people will just move onto something else” hold as an argument in any way, shape or form? Ofc it doesn’t.
I have zero issue with people running CoF and zero issue with people trying to be as “gold effective per hour”. I do the same. But it seems to me that there is something fundamentally wrong with the current set up.
^^^ Pretty much this.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Here is a a variation of the same build with soldier runes that has 3700+ EP and 24kEHP.
Just put a little more Zerk in the armor and change the accessories. Consumables are Butternut Squash soup and Superior Sharpening Stones.

If I were to give 1billion dollars to Anet, I expect 1.2 Billion in return. That’s the way the world works and it’s not really a bad thing. Invest money into a game to make more money in order to have more money to invest into into more and better games which is good for all gamers.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
try this.
0-10-30-10-20
grab the merciless hammer and the desperate power traits.
instant 45% increased damage on your burst skill when counter attacking thieves. on the warrior when you use an attack that has a bonus when they suffer a certain condition (weakness, stun) if the attack gives that condition then the bonus will proc before the condition does.
so 10 points into arms with the unsuspecting foe trait will allow your earthshaker to have an additional 50% crit chance. same thing holds true for shield bash and skull crack.
this setup using similar gear has allowed me to two shot thieves in WvW.
^^This, I run that same build using a mix of Zerk/PTV gear with Zerk/Cavalier trinkets and it works great. Probably won’t find a better hammer build. I find that sword/shield or Long bow work well for second weapon set in WvW.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I find that the last patch was a step in the right direction. Unfortunately we have many more steps to go before we can seriously compete with other classes.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
How about making so you can’t just run past 90% of the content and give the final boss some retaliation? It wouldn’t make the dungeon much harder but would slow down the speed runs and probably make for a more interest end fight.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Did some testing and found that this only happens in Southsun.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I don’t know if it is just the MF gauge in the hero menu that is not working properly or if it is the actual sigil but at 25 stacks I should be getting an extra 15%MF . I only see a difference of 3% with a full stack.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
If they had built the other game dungeons more like this one (and the flame frost dungeon) I would probably be play them.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Putting CD on some of the blind skills so they can’t be constantly spammed or not making blind stack in duration would be a good start. Blind is really what renders cleansing Ire next to useless cause there are so many of them being thrown around all the time. You spend more time trying to remove the blinds then actually fighting. This last patch has made me put my warrior on the PvE only shelf.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
but with that combo i wouldnt have a ranged weapon
@titanimite-id appreciate the input, and future advice,is 30/10/0/0/30 bad?would have the 2 grandmaster talents that enable great crit %,would lose however very good traits in arms tho
30/10/0/30 works great for an Axe build spamming f1. The GS/LB build I’ve been using for farming is 30/20/0/20 but will probably go back to 30/25/0/15.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I feel that this patch is a step in the right direction but I’m not sure we got enough sustainability for the amount of DPS that got taken away. Cleansing Ire looks good on paper but is kind of a joke and is completely useless against blind.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I miss farming CS, I still try sometimes but it’s just not the same anymore. ATM I find farming sharks is the next best thing. PLay a little TP/Crafting also and found recipes worth investing in.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I tried several different trainers on 2 different servers and none of them give me the option to retrain. I can only buy the manuals.
NVM! Just noticed that the last patch had reset all my traits so I had nothing to retrain.

I hate using banners cause they are awkward but I usually carry 1 with me in dungeons. Anymore than that gimps my build. I prefer to have a couple of useful utilities like Endure Pain and SoS, as for the elite I don’t run anything but SoR (low CD when traited) cause it would just be a waste of lyssa runes without it. If you want more banners roll a warrior and bring them yourself.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
From what I can see, it looks like they are nerfing the PvE zerker builds with this. I haven’t seen what changes were brought to other classes yet but I don’t think anything here helps us in PvP much. They take away a lot of DPS but add very little sustainability to make up for it.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I understand why they get frustrated when people start fighting the grub instead of the real enemy. Especially when invaders are putting the pressure on and find yourself on the defensive. There is a time to fool around with the Champs, just not while you are outnumbered and losing ground, or trying to take SM. I don’t agree with a Commander putting down people because they are wasting time on a PvE Champ. It is not a good way to earn the respect of your troops, there are ways to let people know that it is not the time to PvE Champs without putting them down.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Dailies, I’m pretty much on a break from GW2 cause I got tired of the lack of rewarding content, you can only do things for fun for so long before the fun disappears. Dailies get me to log on for 20-30 mins to build my stockpile of laurels which will come in handy when things change enough to peak my interest again.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I loved Orr until they nerfed the kitten out of it. Now is deserted and since many of the events can’t be soloed there is no point in even visiting it.
LOL you really just said that…. It’s a level 80 area, of course you’re not supposed to be able to solo the events.
I know they are not meant to be soloed but what do you do when go there and find out that you are alone? I’m all for group content but you need people to form a group and how do you form a group when you are the only 1 on the map?

I find myself not wanting to play anymore since the farm nerfs. Not that I was a hardcore farmer but I found it fun killing 3-4 hundred mobs an hour and collecting tons of mats which were then used to try different builds for my alts (which I also found fun). Now the wholes process of trying new builds feels more like a job since I have to work so much harder to acquire the needed materials and it can take weeks to gather enough gold for the runes and sigils. The farm nerf was also a fun nerf for me and now all I do is complete my dailies and monthlies which takes 30min or less a day. If the game changes enough to lure me back at least I will have a stockpile of laurels to use.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Not all warrior builds are OP, the issue lies in full zerk builds. I have played one long enough to know and I agree with some of the posts above when they say the problem is not with the warrior but with the content and PvE combat mechanics. Yeah they have 30k burst with HB but that is all they have and they are made of wet tissue paper. I have a full zerk DPS guardian which hits almost as hard as my warrior and has much higher survivability and therefore higher sustain damage despite the lower burst If you want to faceroll content, zerk guardian is king.

30 Daily Puzzle Jumper 0/1
36 Karma Spender 0/750
41 Mystic Forgesmith 0/5
43 Recycler 0/10
This would be my list of things to do in 5 mins everyday. Don’t think it will ever happen.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I’m all for increasing difficulty as long as it is not giving mobs and insane health pool with cheap instagib mechanics and as long as that challenging content is justly rewarded.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
What I don’t understand is the hell-bent rush to get this achievement!
Players are camping these things like world events now …If any player cannot kill 300 holo’s over the month while playing normally, then the player needs to find another game.
Guesting on a low pop server in order to kill 300 in 1 hr is, frankly, obsessive, and says so much about the state of the game and player base.
This is really depressing ..
I like to get it done and over with so I go do what I really want to do. It’s the same for dailies and monthlies.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
I am anit-rng, I hate it with every fiber of my being but that s because of how I am. I am not a gambler, I don’t buy lottery tickets (unless it is to fund the local hospital), I don’t play poker night with the guys, and I don’t spend my hard earned money on some stupid in game RNG boxes. If you are one of those people who has spent a substantial amount of real cash to get coffers and are disappointed because you got no skin, you will not get any sympathy from me, especially when Anet won’t tell you to odds in the first place.
I like to earn what I have and not depend on some random chance to get hit by the RNG lightning bolt. I know some people that have given several thousand rares to the mystic thief and have never gotten a precursor when another has gotten 2 in 16 tries. I am one of the lucky ones, I get really loot on a regular basis and it kitten es me off to know that the others playing with me, doing the exact same thing I am doing, are not getting equivalent loot. RNG is a kitten and I wish the wouldn’t revolve the entire in game reward system around it.
There is also the fact that it isn’t really random but a mathematical equation that gives the appearance of being random.
“…let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die;.”
Mostly Conditions, but not duration. Have 1600 condition damage. Don’t really care how long my stuff lasts since its usually ripped off.
Then quit complaining on how -cond food is OP when you have an option to counter it and don’t use it.

I just guest to a low pop server, find a zone that isn’t very popular and have all the holos to myself. If I see a node with ten peeps around it I don’t waste my time trying to tag something, I go somewhere else. I’ve been paying a fortune in WP fees but killing 300 holos in under an hour makes it all worth it.
so you don’t like to see other players… that’s what this topic is all about, not those holo-projectors mainly.
If I’d like to diskuss the holo-projectors, don’t you think the topic would be named: “my problem with holo-projectors”? I don’t want other people to run away from my, my friends or my guild. I want to make friends.
Maybe I misunderstood the meaning behind your post. Thought to were saying how much you hate seeing everyone kill everything so fast that you can’t loot anything yourself. I was just posting what I did to avoid that situation.
Since launch I have met more than enough people to make me want to play PvE by myself. WvW is different cause the game dynamics are so much more fun in small group fights. I am not what you would call super social. I have enough friends in real life, I don’t want any more. The people I play with are nothing more than strangers sharing a gaming experience and I will not pretend that it is anything more than that.
