It said hi? Oh my god, the John Peters is alive!
I thought it was just some name with a red background, or something.
It’s alive! It’s alive!
I’m just wondering how successful this is, because the gemstore is a weird combination of a cash shop and ingame shop.
If things are priced too high, people will usually not use real money. If priced too little, people will use ingame gold as well.
What is the middle ground where ANET earns profit? I’ve been reading a lot of stories about the pickaxe, so I’m just wondering about it.
Just curious, so I’m surveying. Who actually bought a a Fusion Pickaxe with real money instead of gold to gems?
Ranger needs a role.
Let’s be realistic here: GW2 has a trinity. Warrior is offense, Guardian is defense and healing, while Mesmer is support and utility.
What should a Ranger do the others cannot? What is game-changing like a majority of other classes?
A Guardian is a great introductory class because it establishes Guild Wars 2 is a game without a trinity, and it’s well balanced between physical attacks and magical attacks.
Really, the Guardian doesn’t have any flaws, so it’s a great class to play for anyone undecided. A jack of all trades, but the best at defense.
Because of how armor works in GW2, enemies do not hit hard enough to justify using Toughness.
Despite the common misconception, Zerker gear is not that squishy, especially on a warrior.
I like very basic, casual-looking armor, such as HoTW chest and pants, or a majority of Medium Armor.
Light armor is too whacky for my tastes.
You can buy Orichalcum picks for 300 karma each in Southsun Cove. So the Molten Pick is more for prestige and convenience more than price.

Your wish has been granted!
There’s also a boss in Arah Story like it.
I’m a guy with a mancrush on the Sylvari male voice. SHHH!
Their curiosity for the natural world drives a sylvari engineer down the path of alchemy and science, seeking harmony between nature and technology.
Being in tune with nature, the sylvari engineer possesses vast knowledge of chemistry! By mixing a kittentail of nature’s most wild ingredients, they could do everything from creating a soothing elixir to heal the wounds of allies, to combustible bombs which burn their enemies!
The curiosity of a sylvari is unmatched even by the most eccentric asura!
I was wondering what was in that new build… If this is a bug, I hope they keep it, because it’s freaking cool looking!
Any videos of it in action?

Out of curiosity: Anyone who get the email registered on GWGuru? Anyone who get the email NOT registered there?

How did they get the emails though? That’s what I’m worried about.
Was Guild Wars Guru hacked?
I think it’s the economy. It’s much better managed in SAB than a little game called GW2. Though the fact it’s not run by an economist with an RNG fetish is a big help to SAB’s success.
Well this is certainly great news. Greatsword Ranger is currently in a good place in terms of defense and offense, so if everything else can be brought up to the quality of that, it would be nice.
Particularly, I hope the spirits buff bring us more in line with Ritualists of GW2. But also, 1h sword needs fixing, torch needs revamping, and longbow needs an outright buff.
My question for Robert is: Will I be punished for continuously farming Penitient/Shelter’s gate mobs? Or continuously farming barracudas?
I know you cannot spoil the specifics, but please throw us a bone what normal players are expected to do?
We have too many achievements, too few titles to make them worthwhile.
One of the main disincentives I have from WvWing is the fact I cannot exchange tokens for ares to profit from it.
What if ANET added 30 tokens = 1 level 70 rare?
I would prefer a Mace considering the game lacks Mace-users, and Mace users are usually associated with Healers in jRPGs. Considering the Elementalist is a healer, it would be a nice idea to add in a Mace for them.
Hi. Would it ever be possible to have a Healing Power, Power, and Precision set?
I really want to use a healing set, but all of them are too defensive for PvE.
I’m sorry, but this event is waaaaay too hard!
Anyone have any tips for “Defend Pact Engineers while they establish a camp at Eastern Colonnade”?
It’d packed with vets! There’s too many corpses to know which is the engineer, and if I revive any NPC they die WAY too quick! On top of that, CATAPULTS!? We don’t even have enough time to dodge them! And if somehow we eliminate all the veterans they respawn right away!?!?
ANET, please… Nerf this event. At least eliminate respawn times. This is impossible to do solo nor’ can even groups of 3 people do it! They respawn too freaking quick!
Rox and Braham have what a majority of Story NPCs lacked. Personally I get similar vibes from Braham as I do from Forgal. I want to say I like Rox more, but I have a feeling Braham’s story will be more captivating.
Am I the only one here who thinks Rox looks fine? Keep in mind, she’s not a human. She’s a feline. Maybe her eye size could be reduced at least only a tiny bit, but otherwise I think it looks fine for a feline.
If we can get a longass title in WvW as long as a “God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals”, then I will be very pleased. It will motivate me enough to participate in WvW.
Maybe the title can be something like 5 points for a kill, and 250 points for capturing a keep?
Whatever the case, I believe the goal of the title should be to promote legitimate WvW play rather than zerg vs zerg killfest.
So one of the biggest complaints of 1h sword on ranger is the root. What if it had an evade during Pounce? (The root-leap.)
Might be bad in pvp, but surely in pve it is a great bandaid fix?
I don’t mean the idle sound. I mean the slashing sound effects. They feel very off.
Does the chain saw sword bother anyone else? Am I the only one?
I recently got a 1h Chainsaw Sword for my Ranger because I loved the skin. However, every time I slash the sword, I her a loud RRRRRNGGGG!!!!
Does it bother anyone else? I’m considering going as far as trashing it completely and buyng a new 1h sword for my Ranger.
Also, does the Greatsaw make the same annoying sound effects? (Or does it simply make a more gentle humming sound?)
I imagine they might have a cherry flavor because the inside of an omnomberry (and the main ingredient of the pie and bars) are pinkish purple.
Because they are so rare and Risen don’t bother to harvest them, they must be exceedingly ripe, so the taste must be very strong.
Not to hijack, but do people still use hammer in PvE? When and why?
So is rune of the ranger not good? Should I go Ruby orb, or another set?
Ranger should get hammer solely because they are one of their most iconic weapons in GW1.
I wish to make a very high damage, glassy ranger to use with the newly buffed Maul.
Problem is, which setup would benefit me more? Full Ruby Orb or Rune of the Ranger? The latter obviously has more crit rate, but will I still deal more overall less damage? Or is the +165 precision with + 13% damage better than +6% dmg with +120 power and +84 precision?
I’m really confused which setup to use. Help me figure this out. Thanks!
Solution: Convert boosters to tokens. Happy customer?
I think a Ranger with a staff should get camo instead of shield. We already turn into Elementalists when we go down, so we might as well get a staff too.
If a staff Ranger would be primarily focused on traps like their GW1 counterparts, then that should be the weapon to get camo.
Ranger with a hammer in GW1 was funny. Their role was to stunlock foes while your pet delivered the beatdown.

As for “Staff” Rangers (better known as “Trapper” Rangers) their role was to go place a bunch of traps somewhere and hide in a place you can lure stupid people. Commonly used for PvE farming, also used in PvP to OHKO stupid people.

Please make this happen, ANET! Be the first MMO ever to have a dexterous, speedy hammer user!
It depends. We can choose to eat hamburgers. We cannot choose to eat engineer medkits.
A serious question here. Any food experts able to guess what an omnom berry tastes like?
It seems most prevalent in pie, cookies, and cake.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Omnomberry
But what is its flavor?
I’m sure Muslims and Jews wouldn’t appreciate this because Bacon is not kosher…
Omnom berries on the other hand, are kosher.
I want to get my Ranger a Berserker backpack, but I don’t feel like spending fractal tokens or much gold for an ascended one. Is there a way to get a Berserker backpack outside the personal story? Thanks!
Just an idea, but for the rifle skin, you need to make a Megaman/Contra-style “Pea Shooter” with similar projectils! xD (Just borrow the Predator’s code…)
I opened 131 chests and got 1 ticket, but I still approve of this!
I remember reading somewhere ANET considering Greatsword for Elementalists in the future.
Well if Elementalists get a Greatsword, give us Hammer, PLEASE ANET!
(Robert Hrouda, please back us up on this… We GW1 vets wuv our bunny thumper!)
I play a Female Charr Ranger, and I think she looks baddass!
(Any Greatsword suggestions though, besides Twilight/Greatsaw?)
I use charrzooka on my ranger because it’s better than our bows. Any questions?
My inspiration is drawn from the bunny thumper. Although Warrior has the knock-down niche already, my proposal is to harass the enemy instead.
I believe a Bunny Thumper Ranger would look awesome. We typically imagine hammer as a slow weapon, so why not do the total opposite for Rangers? Make it a speedy weapon the Ranger hops around with, and give Needling Shot/Renewing Smash (whichever name more appropriate) the same attack speed as Crossfire!
@ Concerns about Blast Finisher autoattack:
Lightning Hammer. Which also blinds on autoattack and has much more damage.
