Just wanted to give a quick update on this topic. We’ve completed verifying every update from the november release, and there were zero changes to anything what so ever that would have negatively affected loot in any way/shape/form. We can officially confirm this as an X-files level conspiracy at this point.

We’re in the midst of evaluating every loot table in the game and running massive random roll evaluations table by table, as well as evaluating every system game wide that causes a player to qualify for items to determine if any issues exist in those systems from launch.

Will update again when we have another round of concrete information.

Can we please get confirmation the DR system is working as intended?

Perhaps players farming for months triggers something in the system which farming until November did not?

While I understand ANET has very concrete data on this matter, I would hope the DR system is double-checked on players who’s testimony claim something is whacky.

So after closing my game (an having to task manager end multiple sessions open for some reason) I tried to re-open GW2 and it’s downloading a huge update of over 14,000 files.

I just wanted to know if this is normal? (Or is it because I changed the audio language to German?)

Didn’t we see an official pic of Zomorros during the Sea of Sorrows event?

Something I think which would be incredibly useful for dungeons is if we had voice commands.

It occurred to me while playing TF2 how useful it is to press a combination of buttons and direct my team.

I think GW2 needs a similar function where we could press a combination of buttons and our character would call out “Evade!”, or for more advanced play, we could shout things like “Combo Field here!”

Such a feature would greatly emphasize team-based play without need of third-party VOIP.

As a GW1 player, I actually enjoyed the regions of Cantha and Elona much more than Tyria. They had a culture and atmosphere I feel was lacking in Prophecies and Eye of the North.

The African vibes all throughout Elona were amazing! Especially the music! It would not be Elona without its glorious music which had such vastness!

With Tyria, I get typical celtic and midieval vibes. I’m trying not to complain, but it lacked flavor compared to Elona and Cantha.

I really hope we visit Cantha, but especially Elona! I miss Vabbi!

As for Cantha itself, I wonder what the Petrified Forest and Jade Sea looks like now? We had such a tease in the Fractals, I wanna seeee!

I’d say Soldier, Berserker and Rabid are very popular sets for the necromancer.

You should watch some gameplay videos on minion master first before going head first and deciding ’that’s what I want’ because it isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

What is used in dungeons?

I agree it’s much better now.

But it’s missing one important thing: Dragons. Still no excuse why we couldn’t have had a dragon in each of the 3 zones when they’re roaring around the place and flying in the sky.

Am I the only one happy with the new system? All the other posts are complaining….

Yeah the tier 1 Cultural Light Armor legs clip with themselves… it’s kinda ridiculous and makes a good looking Asura set look worse.

What the hell. I hope they fix it, since this is cultural armor… No excuses for it to clip with its own set, really.

So I assume the NPC version is special because it doesn’t clip?

So my guild chat is in a heated debate how to equip necromancers.

Some say Berserker. Othes say conditions. I’m a noob, but I plan on making a necromancer as a minion master.

What is the general consensus on which set is best for Necromancer? (Also, are minions affected by armor stats?)

Which race is better for an elementalist?

As a norn, I get access to an extra minion (wurm) to use together with my Elemental minions. However, as an Asura, I get a poison combo field.

Which do you recommend? Personally I’m leaning towards asura for spammable combo field for weakness spam. But I want your input.

I’m amazed ANET thinks this is a good system in the first place.

Let’s be bold here. They had years to work on GW2. In the years of working on this game, not once did it occur this is a stupid idea to make such a horrible RNG simply to start the endgame?

Honestly, I see nothing wrong with joke weapons like this, and it seems immensely popular.

However, for every joke weapon, I would prefer if they made serious variants as well. A new legendary Pistol for example MUST be appropriate for Thiefs and Engineers. Likewise, a Shortbow fitting for Thiefs and Rangers.

So I’m planning to create a mesmer and I do not know which race it benefits most from for the racial skills.

Does anyone have any ideas? (And yes. I actually use my racials.)

Or you can make it a consumable toy in the gemstore. I think that would be a great way to make gem-money.

Know better about what? Speaking as a Jew myself with family been through a concentration camp, I do not believe reducing the manji to that of the nazis is the proper way to respect the people they violated.

The symbol has been around long before the nazis, and its meaning vastly different.

So my daily for aquatic slayer is not progressing. I killed everything ranging from underwater risen, to barracudas, to tuna. Nothing!

Good luck with CoE. Buy Charged Lodestones while they’re only 3g, because no PUGs will be completing this dungeon.

Just did all 3 paths. Easy. No wipes whatsoever!

All you gotta do is stack while the person with Ice stays the heck away. 90% of the time, the only reason people die at alpha is because the person with Ice isn’t paying attention.

And if stacking is messy, the timing to dodge is about 2 seconds. Still very easy.

CoE is easy. I have no idea why people have trouble with it?

In PvE, if a player is awarded loot by killing a creature and the loot is of uncommon rarity or higher, a chest will appear that contains the loot that would previously have been on the corpse

Anyone notice any chests yet? What items do they have? Does this nullify Magic Find?

I think the reason laurel prices are insane is because in the future you will obtain laurels from normal achievements like Jumping Puzzles. So it makes sense in the longterm.

I want to know if it is only available for a limited time only or if I can purchase it months ahead of now.

A huge step in the right direction. Will test this out as soon as the patch finishes, but I am quite optimistic!

Just chill for a bit. Go take a dump, or take a shower. Eat dinner. Or find your n64 and play through a few levels of Goldeneye 64. Maybe even go for a few rounds in TF2.

Just throw a Jaguar on him . Since it can hit him while in Stealth, he’ll be wondering WTF is happening.

So I’m admittedly a PvE-Farmer in WvW because it is the only reliable place to farm Onyx Lodestones from normal mobs (Centaurs) and various other expensive goodies (such as Skritt Bags which have Charged Cores and shinies)

However, as an honest question, does this annoy other WvW players, especially on servers like SoS where it is almost always full?

Should ANET move the farm-mobs and events to a place which isn’t WvW?

Reminds me of the fiasco where THE most iconic Factions theme was not on the OST either of GW1.

Hoping they re-use it in GW2’s Cantha… Please! Q_Q

Honestly if you want to be useful in a dungeon as a thief, run shared venoms and a vit build. They hurt the most from this idea because their whole method of survivability is based around not hitting things, while other classes can just keep hitting. Trying to be a melee thief 24/7 will not work out well for you.

What? I run glass cannon thief, and I have less problems than my Warrior.

You have permablind, stun, evade (pistol whip), stealth, and soooo much healing with lifesteal!

So I did my first sPvP fight recently. I really enjoyed it!

My favorite map so far is the Battle of Kyolho. I hope I can make it my 2fort of GW2.

Problem is, the map keeps switching 5 seconds after I get in and start enjoying a match! It’s preventing me from enjoying pvp!

Is there a possibility of seeing servers which don’t switch maps? I’m thinking of TF2 perma-2fort servers..

Can anyone confirm if this is due to an update or consumable?

Humans are a lot more technologically advanced than you think. Walk around Divinity’s Reach and notice the street lights, waterworks, etc.. and you find humans in GW2 are quite capable of semi-modern technology. Divinity’s Reach itself looks as if it takes inspiration directly from early 1900 Great Britain.

Devs do exist and play the game (surprise surprise.) I even know one of them.

Except they keep their ANET tag off because they get flooded with PMs, or they’re mistaken for GMs.

You find them mostly in PvP, apparently.

CoE is actually one of my favorite dungeons. I love all the different puzzles and Subject Alpha is easy once you learn him. I tend to enjoy fighting Evolved Destoyer too when I have a coordinated group.
