Glasses in GW1 were my favorite headpiece, so I’m wondering why they didn’t implement it?

Since the game scales up your experience gain slightly, it makes sense that someone could reach level 15 in the tutorial just by repeating events.

During the betas, I hated the Skritt. But as I got to higher levels and learned more about them, I grew quite fond of them, and once I saw the Skritt colonies, they become REALLY cool!

I think ANET really did an awesome job, and I would love to see more of their colonies in the Primordus expansion.

Skritt and Quaggan seem to be the best tribal races they could be proud of.

I agree. We need a better dungeon finding system because it is quite difficult to find a dungeon outside guilds.

Maybe something inspire by the GW1 party finder? That system worked VERY well! (Except have a global one for your server?)

As an Engineer, I have no problem whatsoever dodging Subject Alpha’s attacks. However, he uses the Crystal Prison attack which makes me a sitting duck to his next skill!

Any advice?

So is it a fact Magic Find does nothing? In short, what’s the purpose of the stat when you stack it to 200%?

I found Cursed Shore to be one of the best well designed areas when it comes to events too.

You have plinx for karma farming, the “tunnel” for loot farming, and just plain epic dynamic events!

My only complaints are that there is no real incentive to keep Grenth captured (as it’s better to farm the pre-event), too many trash mobs make traveling without WP a pain, and that events like capturing Arah don’t reset enough. We only ever see it after reconnecting from a new build.

Josh Foreman, I really think this place is awesome. So please don’t be sad about the unintended mood. Instead, you should embody it! Because this place is creepy in a REALLY awesome way! Particularly how the face statues create the illusion of turning and staring at you depending on the camera! Creepy and awesome!

I don’t think this should be rushed. But as a GW fan, I’m honored to have seen the WiP, and I really wanted to say it’s awesome! Please don’t ever forget to include it in a future update! (And perhaps Riot Alice could comment on UFOs as an inside joke?)

GW1 is a testimony for successful costumes. I think it speaks for itself.

I sincerely hope ANET doesn’t ban people for exploring the unused/beta contents of their game.

We fans do it not out of malicious intent but because we love GW2, and we love to see what happened through its development. This is the same drive as those who excavate every bit of beta content in Zelda 64.

Understandably though, I do think ANET should fix this fast.

I hope they don’t totally forget about the UFO puzzle though, since this area is REALLY cool though! Please include it in a future update!! :O

Why not, instead, having an alternate sequence skill?
After planting the banner, the banner skills turns into ‘Banner recall’ skills. Like this:

Recall Banner of Defense:
Casting 1/4s.
Recharge 10s.
Teleport your Banner of Defense to your location. For 45 seconds, only players in your party can pick the banner.

That way, if you don’t mind them taking the banner, they can do so.
And if you mind you can even take it from their very hands.

I’m not surprised. Even without sigils on kits, the engineer appears to be the most balanced class in the game.

Although the video shows the providing great burst damage, I don’t feel they’re too strong either. I imagine Mace/Hammer from a Warrior makes a great counter.

Anyways, I think ANET could give themselves a pat on the back. Engineer simply plays well.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the Underworld return either.

What would be REALLY cool is if it had the same layout as in GW1.

Looks like one of the level 80 armors. It’s the “rare” heavy set for Arah (NOT the exotic) and you can also get it as Masterwork loot, I THINK!

I would be much more happy if I got the precursor than the gold. Thats the biggest roadblock right now.

So I’m going for a very general-PvE armor setup on my engineer.

My traits tend to be 30 explosives, 30 arms, and 10 gadgets, as I typically run grenadier and tri-weapon sets with kits. However, I also run pistol very often.

When I go for a flamethrower build, my traits are 30 firearms 30 alchemy, and 10 explosives.

In a primarily pistol build, I run 10 explosives, 30 firearms, and 30 inventions (sentry setu)

I finally have enough karma for a full 42k exotic armor set. Problem is, what stats should I run for PvE? (In addition, what accessories and rune?)

Most people I know usually run the +power + vitality + toughness set. But I want to know if the other stats are viable?

For example: In a grenade build focused on lots of bleed, should I go for condition damage? In addition, should I also go for precision to more reliably activate my traits?

But if I go for the Grenth armor with +precision + condition damage + toughness I am concerned I will miss out on a lot of power (Unless using Ruby accessories or some sorta rune addresses this? But Ruby Pendant is 37g!!!)

So what stat setup do you think my Sylvari engineer should run for general PvE exotic 42k armor?

I think they should at least complete the set of Precursor-clone skins like Naegling.

We know one PvE equivalent of the Plated Sniper Rifle (Tybalt’s gun) is called “The Hunter of Rage”, but since other legendary precursor have cheaper equivalents, what is the cheaper equivalent for The Hunter?

I can confirm with unfortunately wasted money that it is not the Axiquiotl rifle skin.

But what about the Azure Railgun? Legionnaire Bayonet? Sarreinaceae? Or Vera?

Can anyone please confirm if The Hunter skin exists outside the legendary precursor? Thank you!

All mats are dirt cheap now. It makes getting money much harder for us farmers since expensive weapons continuously inflate while income is fewer.

Like I posted in another thread: Since dawn and dusk have “cheap” equivalents of the skins, why not add the same for other legendary precursor skins? Such as the Angelic Aegis and Plated Sniper Rifle?

Slightly increasing production and making it less randomized might be a good start.

I would like to know whether or not ANET is at least keeping an eye on inflation, as the person who is constantly farming Cursed Shore for 10 hours a day is starting to lose hope that he could afford this weapon.

The current rate of inflation for legendary precursors are absolutely insane!

Without giving the specifics, there is a person who has been farming Cursed Shore nonstop for weeks now, and he’s currently resting at around 50g.

He can make around 5g a day, 8g if he’s lucky.

He finally reached the price that The Hunter of Rage was selling at when he first started farming, but today the price multiplied by nearly 500% of its original price!

From 50g to 285g.

In 1 week you can make around 35g. However, in that one week, the price inflates another 100%!

I’m sorry, but the numbers speak for themselves! Legendary precursors are supposed to be expensive to get, but this inflation is insane!

225g and 285g is the current price of The Hunter of Rage. Each day you make around 5g average. 225/5= 45 days of nonstop farming of the SAME mobs!

And think about that. Say we play 10 hours a day to make that 5g. This means you have to dedicate 450 hours of farming just to get that one weapon, when you could get explorer and other legendary weapon recipes in faster time than that!

Those quick-and-dirty calculations are of course disregarding any further inflation.

Please ANET, do something about the inflation of legendry precursors! I understand legendary weapons are supposed to be hard to get, but what about the people who simply want the precursor skins!?

Not sure if I misunderstood this idea or not but a toy banner you can carry like the Warrior banner would actually be a hilarious idea!

What equipment and builds are you using if you cannot defeat a Warrior?

You also have to look at this from a design perspective. They have Greatswords AND Rifles! AND spiky, heavy armor!

If not only the most balanced and simplest to pick-up-and-play profession, the Warrior is also the “coolest”.

But generally the Warrior is always the most popular class in RPGs (usually the “main” character in jRPGs from Lunar to FF7) and it’s nothing out of the ordinary to see Warrior more than other professions.

I like the Sylvari skills. Take Root is an AMAZING shill, and Vine Shield (tool belt of Grasping Roots) is incredibly useful for blocking!

I see a lot of PvP talk, but what about PvE? Wouldn’t Axe off-hand be good for builds which depend on lots of crit-traits and fury stacking when you don’t use FGJ?

Lately I haven’t been very sure whether or not to keep my human Warrior or delete it for a charr warrior.

I keep hearing great things about For Great Justice+Battle Roar in team play, and Hidden Pistol seems like a wonderful extra dodge skill essential for up-close melee.

And also. anything seems better than the human racials.

But is it worth it? I am already level 80 with a full set of 42k armor. I’m not sure grinding 240k karma again is justified just for the better racial skills+new look. And truth be told, I’m not satisfied with how I made my Warrior look either… But is it worth it making a charr Warrior and deleting him?

I want to hear from other players whether or not a charr Warrior was worth it to them before I delete my human Warrior.

I think the reason dungeons don’t feel right to OP is because dungeons are set up much like a boss gauntlets, whereas up until dungeons such as in DEs, you’ve been fighting mobs of mooks who die in seconds. Dungeons in GW2 feel especially odd coming from GW1 where dungeons were 90% mobs of enemies and exploration based, whereas in GW2 it’s mostly running back from a waypoint to fight a boss.

Subject Alpha in CoE is pretty difficult in a sense that he doesn’t OHKO per se’ but his crystallization ability makes you good as dead unless you stand ontop of multiple guardians using their AoE abilities.

I do believe some bosses SHOULD be able to OHKO the light armor classes provided that there is a decent AoE notification and he doesn’t stunlock you.

For the crafting material problem, they could probably make all foes drop tier 5/6 crafting mats at level 80, and add in an NPC who allows you to exchange higher level mats for lower level ones.

This would bring a large number of players back to the lower levels.

If they want me to leave Cursed Shore and Frostgorge Sound, they will need to upscale the rewards more.

There is no reason positively whatsoever for me to enter Queensdale for example. The karma is lower, the money is lower, hearts are pointless, and the gathering nodes are MUCH lower! (No Orichalcum/Mithril!)

If Queensdale had a good farm for a level 80 that was as profitable as Orr, I would go. But it’s Cursed Ore which has the Orichalcum, the farms (tunnel for example), the Zerg (plinx), and so on.

But if Shiro can only corrupt the living, how did he corrupt the spirits of Cantha’s heroes and bound them into Shiroken? Example: Vizu. You know.. Those bosses you fought in Tahnakai temple.

Does Zhaitan corrupt corpses whereas Shiro can corrupt the living, dead, and spirits?
