This is not something we are considering as all our servers have robust populations. Server structure has more implications that just WvW, which means any changes of these sorts would have to take all aspects of the player base into account. In addition, with the queues as they currently exist on those top tier servers, I think it’s more important for us to solve the underlying scoring issues which would let more people play than if we were to cut the number of possible players at any time in half.

The game is very active, there are more people playing now than at launch. Well worth coming back with all of the continuing improvements to the game and content patches every two weeks.

When I enter the Obsidian Sanctum, enemies are now appearing as green dots on the map. I am not in a party with anyone.

Legacy Armor? You mean the one you get if you also played GW1 to a certain extent? Because you can get that armor skin again and again and again from your Hall of Monuments. So yes, it is permanently on that item, but you can reacquire that particular skin over and over again for new items.

HoM armors look and are handled differently than the Legacy set that comes with the Digital Deluxe Edition.

As an FYI, Transmutation Stones (used on item lvls <80) drop frequently from your personal story and zone completions. I’ve still got a stack of almost 100 of them I believe from leveling 2 characters.

The Transmutation Crystals (lvl 80 items) on the other hand are quite rare and mostly need to be purchased from the gem store. You can purchase them with ingame gold by using the currency converter on the gem store.

You will be able to use it again if you use Transmutation Stones or Crystals to put the look on a new set of armor (on the same character).

There is a way to get it over to another character with a Transmutation Splitter and a Stone or Crystal but the armor will only be able to be used on one set of items at a time.

He has made a few good videos, I’ve enjoyed a couple of his speculation ones.

But the overwhelming majority of his videos are complaint-fests and the overwhelming majority of his videos shows GW1 footage while he’s talking about GW2! Clearly, at some very basic level he does not like this game. His internal expectations are so very high they will never be met, he was so very attached to GW1 he will always be disappointed and he will always be searching for some meaningless weathervane.

I have never stated that GW2 is perfect because no game is. I do enjoy the game quite a bit but I’ve had my complaints as well. I’ve got my share of posts on the bug report forums and the Scarlet thing is getting old.

I’m not liking how long the Scarlet story arc is taking any more than anyone else does. But I do understand how they got here with Scarlet, how when they first brought her in we pretty much all went wild over the pocketwatches and graffiti and the whole nine yards and then ANet went full bore into this story line.

They recently said that the 4 month development cycle for this arc started back when they introduced her, they understand that we are tired of her and it will wrap up pretty soon.

I just don’t see the need to make a video every 3 days about what I don’t like since there are so many aspects of the game that I do like. Wooden Potatoes strikes me as a glass-half-empty fellow that will focus on his little gripes and not give credit where credit is due for a great game.

Colin did make a post saying that they were still shooting for 2013 for the new legendaries but that it was possible it might have to get pushed back a bit so don’t stress if they aren’t in before the end of the year.

Someone on the PTR for the new Edge of the Mists WvW map found a new legendary – a raven staff. I’ll see if I can find the link for it.

How many videos is this guy going to make about how he likes GW1 better than GW2? It’s like he doesn’t get it that GW2 is a completely different game and wants the entirety of GW1 rehashed/replayed in the GW2 universe down to the last pixel.

He even made a video about a house in Queensdale that didn’t have the same weathervane as in GW1. A weathervane for crying out loud that had no lore behind it, no story, no importance to it whatsoever – blasting ArenaNet for obliterating this weathervane from GW1.

Guy is kinda off imo.

Winning is about completing content and stomping your enemies on the battlefield.

One thing you can do so you don’t feel like you’re wasting too much time or progress while you wait is to play some PvP. When you go to the Heart of the Mists you are upleveled to 80 with free access to all the stats, weapons, traits, runes, sigils, etc. You can play around with max level builds and earn some skins for your PvP lockers. (anything in your PvP lockers and personal bank are kept intact when you delete your characters – as long as it’s not soulbound).

Another choice (a bit of a grind) is to farm Black Lion Chest Keys. You get one when you complete the level 10 personal story and there are some players that create and delete characters just for the keys. The keys are super rare drops later in the game and quite valuable – you can check youtube for guides on how to do it in like 20-30 mins.

Hey, everyone. We’ve been reading all your feedback about the Flamekissed Armor Skin that was released into the Gem Store yesterday.

Although the Flamekissed Armor uses the same mesh as the Tier 3 Human Cultural Armor, it was not our intention to create an armor skin that so closely matched the existing Tier 3 Human Cultural armor set. The intention was to use the mesh as a basis for creating an armor set that stands apart and is distinct in appearance. However, after reading your feedback, we agree that the Flamekissed armor is not visually distinct enough from Human Cultural Tier 3 armor.

We will do a few things to address this issue.

• We will temporarily remove Flamekissed Armor Skin from the Gem Store.
• Players who have purchased Flamekissed Armor Skin will keep the skin.
• We will make new art for the Flamekissed Armor Skin that achieves our goal of making a visually distinct and attractive armor set and does not closely resemble the Human Tier 3 Cultural armor.
• Once this new artwork is completed, we will then update the Flamekissed Armor Skin so that all existing sets that players have purchased get the new art. We will also offer the Flamekissed Armor Skin for sale again at that time.
• When we update the Flamekissed Armor Skins with the new artwork, any player that has already purchased the set and who does not like the new, updated look, can get a full refund by contacting Customer Support.

Note that there is no ETA on when this change will happen. We need to work with the Character Art Team to determine when we can have a new armor skin ready, and this could take some time.

Overall I think it’s a smashing success. The only thing is the new agony resistance does not seem very intuitive, had to go read up on how it actually works.

I’ve been running fractals all day and having a blast and getting great loots. Good parties too, people in game are really enthused about it

Haven’t seen them all yet, just finished my first set. Like the changes you put on the existing ones and loved the Thaumanova Story and the new Aetherblade Retreat.

Great job, guys – keep up the good work!

I have completed the meta and received the key, but the WvW Dawn of the Season achievement is still not triggering.

Also I cannot see the new armor skins on the gem store, don’t know if that is related.

I’ve seen much crazier stuff at my city’s First Fridays art walk event – this was tame by comparision lol.

• Intuitive, jump in and play right away format – nonlinear
• Combat – mobility, can cast while running, the animations are gorgeous
• Can use ingame gold to buy things from the cash shop including character services like name changes and transfers
• All the depth and complexity of an MMO without a sub fee with a frequency of updates that can only be described as amazing

I have to add one more:

• The community – this is hands down the best community I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with. I’m so glad ANet took a “no tolerance” stance against internet bullies and verbal abusers. The core design of the game promotes teamwork, it’s really quite brilliant.

In addition to Fractals mentioned above, Scarlet Invasions and Tequatl will give you about 20k karma each. The karma train in WvW (usually happens on Fridays) is another way to quickly rack up some karma.

I really like how ANet set up the Tequatl event to spawn on overflow servers when it starts on the main server. Was wondering if we can expect to see the same kind of event synching for other meta events when servers go into overflow?

Still hitting overflows daily and missing meta events – today I missed both Claw of Jormag and the Frozen Maw event due to the zones being full so I was put in overflow. It’s phenomenal that the game still has this kind of activity 15 months after release but having a way for those in overflow to do the events would be fabulous

I’m extremely impressed with the updates – every 2 weeks brings new content, permanent content and improvements to the core game – all with no sub fee. Keeps me and my friends logging in that’s for sure

There’s a glut of content right now – tons of players are running the Tower, finishing up their Season 1 achieves or playing WvW, getting ready for the Fractals update by getting their levels up and collecting Fractal relics, playing on the Edge of the Mists PTR map, plus still running dungeons or champ trains for gold.

I know I haven’t had much time to run open world meta events lately, I’m sure it’s the same for many players. Although I still try to make some time for a Tequatl kill everyday now that he’s on a regular timer

I, like many of you, have a lot of neat unused skins in my bank. But since many of them are a one-time use, I’m hesitant to use them in case I change my mind! Has there been any word about a wardrobe system and whether or not the available skins will be retroactive?

I haven’t seen ArenaNet say anything yet about a PvE wardrobe feature. Generally they only mention something when it’s coming out very soon and are very clear about long term timelines on other things.
