I think the TP is full of careless people who don’t check properly what they’re buying sometimes. I’ve seen cases like these many times, lvl 6x exotics being sold for 5g with buy orders for 3g while the same item but a tier up (level 80) only had a highest sell order somewhere under 3g. So why are these lvl 6x pants worth more than the same ones at lvl 80 lol.

Please stop complaining...

Rarity has to be in the game, thus yes, some cosmetic items should be hard to get. The top gear isn’t exactly a grind at the moment but I do agree that some of it forces you to be only able to get it through a specific content (guild missions) since laurel vendors aren’t really a viable alternative and forces you to only be able to get this specific item after xx many weeks.

This was by design. Anet wanted to separate pvp and pve as far as possible. That’s why there is no grinding or leveling at all in PVP. Why would you expect to get something in return in the PvE world for doing pvp?

It’s hard to pinpoint the cause but the game doesn’t have any huge stability issues. The only known one is the sound bug which can cause crash (you will hear an annoying whum whum whum noise and a lost of sound. The remedy for this is to turn the sound quality down to the lowest. Anything else is rarely cause by the game itself and more related to your computer.

If you’re having connection issues you may also consider checking out your own internet connection too. i.e. is the ping good and are you experiencing any abnormally high packet lost? are you on lan cable or wireless etc?

Dailies are a punishment to some

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Lafiel.9372

Its not a punishment no matter how many rediculous strawman arguments you make. Punishment by definition means;

Punishment (also known as discipline or penalty) is the authoritative imposition of something undesirable or unpleasant on, or the removal of something desirable or pleasant from, a person, animal, organization or entity in response to behavior deemed unacceptable by an individual, group or other entity.

Not doing dailes is not a punishment. Seriously go get a job and try claiming not getting a work related bonus is a punishment. You would get laughed out the bosses office.

Authority: Anet
Imposition of something undesirable: doing daily or be economically disadvantaged ever so slightly.

Conclusion: punishment.

Erm, isn’t the same as saying you don’t have time to run dungeons or do boss events or even play until weekends?

All those activities give more gold per time played then the daily, and using the same exact logic you say about dailies, I could argue that I’m am being imposed of doing something undesirable or be economically disadvantaged thus making it a punishment.

Dailies actually give you more ways to get certain things. It’s just another reward system that you can choose to do or not. Most people do them though because it’s relatively easy compared to most other things.

The major thing is Laurels. Currently the ONLY way to get laurels, is by doing the daily and monthly achievements. Therefore you can get 1 laurel per day, with a bonus 10 per month, giving you 40-41 laurels a month if you do your dailies/monthlies always. There is no way to recover from not being able to do 1 of your dailies, you will fall behind.

I won’t say this is a punishment, but it feels like an obligation to do your dailies. Especially since laurels are the only currency that can get you ascended Amulets, for a massive 30 laurels each. And now for someone like me, who has 8 characters at lvl 80, every daily I miss will add a day to the time when I will have all of my characters geared up with an amulet. There is no way to recover from that by simply playing more another day.

So yeah doing dailies feels like a chore to me. You wake up, you have to do it wether you like it or not, otherwise u’ll have to face the consequences. Remember, this is a game, where we spend our time to relax and enjoy our spare time. It’s not supposed to feel like a job.

But getting a laurel for doing your dailies is part of the achievement reward. That’s how it works. It’s like if you want CoE tokens you have to do CoE. I may feel inclined to do CoE everyday because I can only get 60 tokens per path once a day but I by no means am punished by it if I choose not to do it for a certain day.

Does the new chest only drop guaranteed rare or does it also have a chance to drop exotics/precursors? Just need this answered, thanks. As I see it, it’s a good change. Chest drops are supposed to be random and a guaranteed rare was the developer’s kindness to us players. You guys should appreciate you’re still guaranteed a rare.

I believe the guaranteed chest will be a rare and above. Therefore, precursors and exotics will still have a chance to drop from these world chest. That is as far as it is to my understanding. I say this because, I have gotten a chest where this is only 1 exotic and no rares at all. Therefore, the guaranteed rare currently in this chest was upgraded to an exotic in those attempts.

How is this going to change anything .

There is still going to be overflows there is still going to be guesting this cheap fix will do nothing.

I know when i get home from work there are overflows now and there will still be overflows when they patch this.

I dont know who decides these things for you Anet but man you folks should think things thru.

Firstly, let’s point something out in the clear. It is obvious that guesting is not the major issue here. I know what i’m saying here will never get through the minds of the mass because they’re so convince that the immigrants are stealing their jobs that no other explanation will be heard.

But hear me out, the issue with the current world chest is that people from all servers are running their alts through all the world chest daily in order to get the guaranteed rare. Because of this, high population servers are experiencing overflow issues because people on THEIR server are running alts constantly all day. Why is this not a guesting issue? Firstly, guesting was implemented a month ahead before chest were changed. No overflow issues were observed during that period. Dragon chest was repeatable at that time too so exploiting them was actually possible.

Next, dragon chest changes come in, immediately high population servers are experiencing overflow issues at peak times. Now let i remind you, guest are put in overflow as a priority.

If guesting was really the issue here, we would have at least experienced some sort of overflow problem prior to the dragon chest changes.

Now onto why the current proposed changes will work.

As I have explained earlier, right now if people had 5 alts and did 5 bosses, they would get 25 guaranteed rares. After the changes, people will only get 5 guaranteed rares from doing 5 alts on 5 bosses. Therefore, this change will bring us back to when dragon chest were NOT changed but with the addition that we now have a guaranteed rare from the chest.

To conclude: the proposed changes will be the same as the old world chest +1 rare per account. AND the chest is now limited to 1 per character so exploiting this is no longer possible as it was previously prior to the feb patch.

Some people really need to learn the difference between a bonus and a punishment.

Dailies are a bonus.

Not doing dailies is not a punishment, your just not getting your bonus.

If it was really a punishemnt then you would have X number of gold or gear REMOVED from your account for NOT doing the daily.

You have $1. You were happily able to buy an apple. I give a bonus to every person in the country $50,000 (example). Would that apple still cost $1? Probably not, but nothing were removed from you! So why is this not a punishment?
———————————————————————————
@everyone else, Yes, you running dungeons, events, w/e ruins my gaming experience! Sky orders you to stop this atrocious act!

Your analogy of whatever you were show is entirely invalid not to mention, hugely inflated if you were comparing daily achievement as the $50,000.

A more appropriate analogy is this. You have 1 dollar (I assume this is your entire fortune?), you can happily buy an apple with it (why an apple I don’t know). Government offered us daily jobs to everyone in the country. Those who choose to take on the job will get paid 10 cents. The apple still cost 1 dollar (your entire fortune) and no kittens were killed.

The difference in my analogy is that one: the daily achievement is not something you get handed out for free (i.e your $50,000 example), it is more similar to an optional job that you may or may not wish to partake. It’s almost like doing an event and getting karma and exp for it, no one complains why they can’t just get karma and exp SPONTANEOUSLY without doing anything at all. If you don’t want to do the achievement, don’t do it. The reward is just a chance for a gem store item, some exp, karma, daily coin and a little bit of money. People who do the achievement are not getting any significant advantage over someone who didn’t do it. They are getting paid for what they worked for.

So my question is, what makes you so special that you should get for free what others willingly worked for?

The server hopping will continue, and it will cause deflation of ecto and yellows. Anyone can still farm the world bosses for golds and exotics and precursors. This will not stop the server pressure at all, because they will farm the kitten out of these chests as long as it is the best shot at an exotic or precursor.
The guarunteed yellow will be account bound, so if you like to spend money for gems, you can still do that to salvage it for ecto’s.
This is not doing anything at all to the way the power gamers will power game it every day, all day. For every chest they open they still have the same chance of a gold that can be sold and chopped up, just now, they will have to chop up the account bound ones.

It will reduce the pressure because if people did farm these like crazy, why didn’t people experience the same issues prior to the chest change when they could repeatably farm the dragons without a limit. I.E the people who will continue to do this will decrease

so effectively….you are making it that killing the boss gets you the rare…not the chest itself…and reverting the chest back to its old drop table while still limiting the amount of times we can get said chest? why not remove the 1 chest per character limit if that isn’t where the guaranteed rare is coming from? is anet afraid we will flood the market with blues like before?

I believe the normal loot has also been improved, thus the char bound limit. I find I get rares more readily now aside from the guaranteed rare.

So after all the silence it turns out that the info gathered showed that the overflow problem was caused by players with alts?

So basically alts are a problem?

Na, the problem was being the world event chest being too rewarding making everyone crowding to do it 24/7. With this account bound in place, people will do it once and move on to other things. Overflow chance should be greatly reduced though I can not speak for the higher tier servers.

Arena Net announcing stuff like this beforehand is just really funny, shows with how little finesse they run the TP.

It doesn’t matter when they announce it, this would have still happened. That’s how people play the TP. Regardless, I do prefer they tell us ahead of time so the people can be prepared when the change does happen. This was done correctly on Anet’s part.

Can’t get ascended gear for them-> Check
Can’t get any loot at all for them now->check

I don’t get what the big deal is about screw you to alts. I have 8 alts, 5 of them are level 80s, I enjoy playing my alts because I like the class. I don’t play my alts so they can be my slaves which earn me money, though I admit, I do use them as parking characters on certain bosses at times to save WP fee.

Won’t this flood the TP with even more ectos? I mean since patch I always get at least 1 rare from the loot chest. If you get a “guaranteed rare” from special new chest and keep the regular boss chests as it was won’t ppl get even more ectos? Maybe I understood something wrong but I hardly doubt this will solve the overflow issue.

Oh and, can we get timers that correctly display the spawns? Like official timer or something. I often get the feeling like the timer is trolling me lol

No, there are less rares now. Before it was 1 guarantee rare per character per boss. Now it is, 1 guarantee rare per account per boss.

To put it in perspective, if I had 5 alts and I did 5 bosses, effective it would net me 25 guaranteed rares if I did them all. Now after the changes, if I had 5 alts and did 5 bosses, I would only get 5 guaranteed rares. Get it now?

Salvaged one Exotic piece with Black Lion Kit… Got 0 ectos, when earlier exotics gaves at least one of them.
But keep buying evething they said

Exotics salvage with bl kit doesn’t guarantee ectos… I salvage ectos plenty of times, on good days i get 2-3 ectos per rare and bad days i can get up to none on 6 rares. The average evens up to be approximately 1 ecto per rare. I will continue to buy what Anet says because if you didn’t trust in the developers who made this game, what is the point of playing it?

As I read the statement you will still get one rare/per boss/per account. If this this is true they will still be farmed, which is good, but just wont have people getting…I don’t know…30+ rares per day. This is a good change.

That is indeed correct. You will get one guaranteed rare drop per boss per account per day. You still have the chance to get pre-cursors/exotics/rares from the regular dragon chests every time you play an event. It is just the guaranteed rare drop that has been restricted.

I understand what you said but is the NORMAL chest (without guaranteed rare) still only lootable once per day? If so, is this per character or is this throughout the account? From what you said, it kinda implies that the normal chest now spawns for EVERY event regardless if I have done it already for that day.

The normal chest is lootable once per character per boss. the Guaranteed rare is lootable once per account per boss.

“How exactly am I punished? Economically. Everyone who completes the dailies gets some silvers + mystic coin + a Jar of karma accompanied by some experience.”

^You are not punished. You are just not rewarded. Huge difference. Why are you not rewarded? Because you didn’t do the event, and they did. Do you expect to gain when you dont even bother to log in now?

I dont do fractals so im punished by not getting free ascended gear? Hells NO

You are not going to get paid if you dont go to work.

I’m being punished because that free money, mystic coin, and karma you got from the daily makes my gold less valuable due to inflation, therefore I am being punished.

Getting ascended gear in fractal does not harm you and is only beneficial to the person wielding it and cause no harm to others.

In that logic, you are being punished by any player who puts more time and earns more money than you.

Remove falling damage traits

in Suggestions

Posted by: Lafiel.9372

Lafiel.9372

Nobody wants them, nobody needs them. They are lackluster. Instead, falling damage is reduced by 30% by default. The traits could be replaced with something like these:

[Guardian] End of the Line
Wards (Line of Warding, Ring of Warding, Sanctuary) are instant and deal damage to foes when touched.

[Warrior] Brutality
Disabling a foe (by stun, daze, knockback, knockdown, sink, float, fear, or launch) also removes a boon on hit.

[Engineer] Medical Supply
Drop bandages when you take more than 10% damage in a single strike. This effect can only trigger once every 15 seconds.

[Ranger] Thorns
20% chance to cause 3 stacks of bleeding for 5 seconds when struck with a melee attack. This effect cannot trigger more than once every 10 seconds.

[Thief] Escape Artist
Shadowsteps free you from immobilized.

[Elementalist] Hard as Ice, Elusive as Steam
When you are frozen, you get protection. When you are burning, you get swiftness.

[Mesmer] Glimpse of Madness
Gain a random boon when you summon a clone.

[Necromancer] Acidity
When you poison a target, you also apply vulnerability.

I actually use them quite often… on my mesmer.. on my ele… in fact, i would sometimes almost call it OP on some classes.. you dive in on an enemy from the top of the wall and knock them back/stun them etc and run away or finish them off.

Drop Rate Precursor Weapon

Hello everybody.

I’m starting my journey in search of my legendary and i wonder if it is possible to drop the Precursor of “Twilight,” Dusk.

I’ve been searching on various websites and most say that events in cursed shore have the chance. I wonder if it is true the possibility of the drop and if so, what is the exact number of each monster drop rate, for example, 1-500 monster or 0.1% of each monster.

Thanks in advance and any feedback is welcome.

At lvl 80, most chest have a chance to drop a precursor. However, it is incredibly low. All mobs in orr at level 80 will have a chance to drop precursors too. I’ve been playing this game since release and have not seen one drop of precursor yet. So, it really is a luck thing sometimes lol

For items of such low value and high probability, everyone ends up with roughly the same odds in a large enough sample size. Precursor on the other hand have much much lower probability and much higher price so the random factor (luck) actually plays a significant role.

Because RNG is exactly what the topic is about?

He noted a very small sample size and asked if something had changed due to less-than-desired results. RNG is the answer to the question.

Yes I know, but my question was why people think it is either bad or good for an item of such low value when everyone in the end will be getting an average of .9/ecto if you average the good days and bad days.

The "Heavy-Armor-Thing"

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Lafiel.9372

Lafiel.9372

Hi there,

I was wondering, is there any particular reason why people often look for : Guardian, Warriors and Mesmers (for dungeonruns, that is)

I have a Mesmer myself, I believe it’s because of AOE-Shatter and Timewarp (and even that’s not necessary in any way, just makes things a little faster)

But what about the Warrior and the Guardian? I mean, yeah, they got heavy armor…but that’s just like +200 Thoughness? Come on, it’s not THAT great, and works only for direct damage, not for condition damage.

I know that the guardian got some very low base-HP, and the warrior…don’t really know anything about warriors, to be honest.

They can’t be SO much better than, lets say, my engineer with a bombkit-build or whatever. Or maybe I just don’t know about Warriors and Guardians doing 500% more damage than an engineer or any class for that matter.

Is it because of the Guardian-Boons? Really, I have no idea, please enlighten me.

Warriors have high dps damage in most PVE areas while guardians have extremely helpful boons and reflect skill which are crucial in many dungeons. Also, their mechanics is what makes guardian tank, not toughness/hp alone.

The real reason why people pick these classes over others is a mix of not understanding the potential of other classes and also that people who DO play the other classes tend to not understand how to play it efficiently themselves. Warriors are very easy to learn to play although good warriors are hard to come by.

Entirely not true, I just did arah 4 with a mix of classes with complete success. Simin is by no means as high dps requirement as people make it out to be… In fact, I would go as far as to say, 5 decent zerker warriors will much more likely fail at arah 4 then 5 decent other dps classes.

There is a problem with Cof path 1 and I hope they address it soon. The dungeon is just too easy. In fact, all they have to do is fix the rolling ball part to not be port-able and a lot less people will farm it.

Wauw, so… if I read this graph correctly…

1,400 people sold 1 ecto.
1 person sold more than 2,544 ectos.

This game has some SERIOUS problems. I can only assume that people that sell more than -say- 1,000 ectos on one day are somehow tracked and, if they do it consistently, are monitored to see where they come from.

Are you reading the same graph as I am? You seemed to have ignored all the people in between 2544 and 1 ecto and then suggested that there is a serious problem because the red line is touching the x axis. From what I can tell, there is only a slight bump in 250 ectos and that’s 1 stack which is normal. Beyond that it seems to be pretty close to 0 than 1 to me hmm.

You haven’t played any other MMOs if you can make that statement. Yes, GW2 significantly upped the amount of grind. Despite that, it’s still substantially less grindier than most other MMOs.

If it’s grindy, then you’re only choosing to do so.

So easy to tell GW2 is your first MMO.

It’s funny you should both say this, because we’ve had people who came from WoW in this forum who say that nowadays, WoW is actually less of a grind at the high end than GW2.

I just think it’s interesting that folks in this forum will outright deny that GW2 has any grind in it when we have players who came from other, grindy games saying that they’re surprised how much grind GW2 has. I’d think we should listen to them, since they have this “experience” you’re both talking about.

Yeah, it’s less grindy than many games out there. But it’s not grind-free. I do wish people would stop trying to pretend otherwise.

Just because you came from another MMO doesn’t make their opinion gold. As some have stated before, it’s only grindy if you make it grindy. I.e. you’re not grinding for stats but you’re grinding for cometics. Gearing yourself with full exotics can be done in less than a week. Gearing yourself with ascended rings can be done in a week or two at most. Gearing yourself with amulets will take a month and gearing yourself with accessories without a guild is near impossible at this stage. However, exotic accessories are not that much different to ascended ones. At the moment. I’m happily sticking to exotics mostly just cause I know ascended doesn’t make a significant difference (p<0.05). The grind is present when you want elite rare skins which are optional to the game.

Shattered Achievement Nearly Impossible

This achievement seriously needs to be scrapped now, since it is all but impossible to achieve. There are literally hundreds of players spamming aoe at every Shatterer event now, and only 5 (!) players get encased in crystal per event, with the crystals shattering in 1 hit. Just shattering one crystal is like winning the lottery, and you have to shatter 5 for the achievement. Just a tad ridiculous. I say either buff the amount of players encased in crystals MASSIVELY, or change the achievement.

It’s not hard at all. Eventually you jsut get it done. Also it doesn’t have to be 5 at once. If you really really want to get it done, go guest to a low pop server and you’ll have pletny of chances to do it there

In my opinion, invulnerable mobs are a bad design

I’ve encountered this many times and in different places, underwater, on land, fractals, dungeons etc. This definitely sounds more like a bug issue and should be moved to the game bugs forum.

Does anyone dual/multi-box?

What would be so hard about setting down a wall of fire with an Ele and getting a Ranger behind it to shoot some arrows? Or other similar scenarios? Like anything else, it would get easier with practice. The peripherals we discussed above would help too.

I wouldn’t expect to be as good as two separate players each playing a single character. With time, my goal is to be able to to play 2 toons as well as I play 1 toon. I’d have the added benefits of being able to trigger my own combos, being able to revive myself as long as one toon is left standing, being able to gather more materials, and just the joy of being able to see 2 of my Sylvari running around Tyria together.

As stated by the poster above, I too used to multibox similarly in previous MMOs and have been very successful with it. However, as many players have mentioned above, there is a lot of elements in gw2 which does not allow you to do this effectively, mainly the amount of action/movement required in gw2 is much higher. Sure you can pop down basic combos such as wall of fire you mentioned or other basic combo fields and quickly switch back to whatever main character you prefer to combo with but ultimately this will not be effectively done. You will have 1 character always in a semi compromised state because it can only use auto attack. Ultimately, you will definitely run into many situations where one of your semi active characters becomes downed and or if you require to maneuver both your characters out of a ground aoe field, which is an extremely difficult task to keep up with.
]
So my conclusion was that it would be much more effective to be proficient with 1 character then to try multibox two and failing in both. As I said, the most effective way to multibox legitmately is by doing world event bosses since tagging them while multiboxing is not a hard task. Playing both effectively in the open world or dungeons etc is just extremely tasking and ultimately not worth it. Of course, this is my personal opinion, if you decide to pursue it then by all means, no one has the right to say otherwise.

War vs Guar for dungeon dps (theory)

In terms of dps only where mob skills and intelligence isn’t a factor, a good warrior and good guardian will have very similar damage output (you can test it out with golems in pvp and time yourself) warriors will always have a slightly higher dps but guardians are not far behind.

I generally prefer guardian as their skills are much more.. mobile.

Note that this is not a thread asking if dual/multiboxing is allowed, as ANet has already clarified that as long as each character is being individually controlled by the player (ie no key broadcasting and such) this style of play IS permitted. https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/whats-the-deal-with-multi-boxing/first#post1536295

I’m interested in dual boxing in GW2 because it would be fun to play with combos between 2 characters. Since combat is so quick paced, coordinating combos with other players is difficult especially since we can’t talk to each other via audio. If combos happen, it’s usually just because of lucky timing. I would like to be able to orchestrate combos myself using my own characters. Plus I miss the hero system from GW1 and I see dual boxing sort of as a way to bring that back; better than that actually, since I’d be able to control both characters’ actions. So questions for players who dual or multibox…

- Which professions do you like to combine when you multibox?
- What skill builds do you find the most useful when teaming up professions?
- What’s the best way to legitimately control 2 or more characters simultaneously? Do you use gaming peripherals like keypads or MMO mice with thumb button grids?

And any other useful bits you’d like to share.

It is not possible to multibox legitimately the way you have mentioned just now. Anet has stated multiboxing is legitimate only to the extent that no third party software is used to replicate inputs on both game accounts. I.E the only way to do it is by having two computers 2 monitors side by side with two keyboard and two mouse and playing both simultaneously. That is obviously not an effective method to play the game at all and you’ll just be putting the effectiveness of the party down.

The only way you can really reap benefits out of this is by doing world events in which tagging is much easier even if you had to control simultaneous accounts. However, doing this ultimately is a huge waste of time and you will not reap any real benefits unless you invest a huge amount of time in it. So, multiboxing ultimately serves no real benefit besides from providing you with a second account to play on.

I’m really confused as to why people keep assuming that I’d be using 3rd part software. I thought it was perfectly well known within the gaming community what true, legitimate multiboxing is? I didn’t think I had to explain it, and regardless, reading this thread beyond the 1st post would have told anyone that I AM planning on using 2 separate rigs and that competitive edge is not my end purpose for learning to dual box. I want to do it because it will be fun to play 2 of my characters at one time, and have them work together. That is MY benefit, and not yours to decide.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Q-Is-multi-boxing-allowed

Hello,

Multiboxing is very simmilar to botting and 3rd party programming so according to Anet’s policy it is strictly forbidden. Please, refrain from making use of this and report any player you see making use of this.

Since the question has been answered , this thread is closed.

Thanks

EDIT: This post has been quoted in other forum posts, but it is inaccurate. ArenaNet does not prohibit Multi- or Dual-Boxing as along as the player is active on each account and is not botting or using other third-party programs to “play” the account.

Given that there is no auto-follow and tons of roots, snares, knock-backs, the need to dodge, and other obstacles… it’s not possible to do without breaking the rules.

A quick comparison of the dates for my ANet quote and yours would have shown that mine is much more recent. I’d appreciate if everyone would stop discussing the legality of legitimate multiboxing, because it’s already been addressed and it’s off my topic. I would like to avoid the closing of my thread due to the mods thinking it’s just another “is multiboxing allowed” thread. Thank you.

I’m not assuming you’re using it. I’m just stating if you want to effectively do fine tuned synergy between your two characters e.g combo fields, it’s not possible to do it effectively without 3rd party assistance. It’s much easier to find a friend who play with you.

Lack of trinity makes this game boring I think

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Trinity will not come to this game, it would take an enormous effort to rebuild characters and classes from scratch. Why do trinity addicts need to start a thread about this every week. All arguments have been exchanged many times over anyway. Yes, GW2 combat can be extremely boring, but that has quite different reasons than a lack of trinity – which would make the battles even more boring. And stop selling that concept as “strategy”. It is cookie cutter builds, rotating cookie cutter abilities in a cookie cutter order, all memorized from doing the same raid many times over. There is rarely strategy in the trinity approach, knowing what to do beforehand to counter rigid AI behaviour is simply memorizaiton, nothing else.

You just explained the current state of GW2… no strategy.

The lack of trinity wouldn’t even bother me if I wasn’t pigeon holed into using 2 skills on my thief constantly and oh switch to shortbow for AoE to spam 1 button how exciting.

ANet didn’t just remove trinity, they removed ‘build wars’ which was what kept GW1 alive for so many years and still interesting to this day. They made these 2 major decisions without replacing them with anything of value.

Can you honestly tell me you’ll be enjoying your character in a few years with the same exact skills, same rotation, same everything? Hell I’m already bored of it… was bored on the first week. Then again, I DO come from GW1… a truly unique game.

This is however not a trinity issue but more of the lack of skill choice issue. Anet needs to implement a wider selection of skills for each weapon so everyone can select what they want to use. E.G greatsword will have 10 skills to choose of 5 instead of 5 fixed skills. I do agree I could use some rotation in terms of skill choice after awhile, then and again, even if they did give us more skills, how long before we find the perfect combo and stick to it. Ultimately, everything is repetitive regardless of any game.

Should outdoor boss events drop loot?

in Suggestions

Lafiel.9372

Why are people complaining about good loot. Is it because you don’t have time to do these events as much as other people and you’re selfish so you want these guys not to have the ability to do these kind of things too because putting more time in the game and getting rewarded more is unfair.

Or is it because you’ve made certain investments on certain items which have had a significant drop in price and you want anet to revert their changes so you can reap the benefits?

Seriously, these are the only two kinds of people I can imagine who “dislikes” good loot on world bosses.

What is “the wrong reason to do a world event”. I ran into a world even by chance and did it. Is that a wrong reason to do it? Should I have gathered my hatred over days and days, sworn revenge for my dead parents who sent me to the circus at a young age and waited day and night for jormag to spawn only to kill him and loot that corpse full of wonderful blue items which the generous merchant bought off me for 70c.
