Selfless and thoughtless pots, and enough blade shards for about 3 ascended back pieces, maybe four if I have enough time.
Finally reach 1200 in an overflow I was in, it was pretty nice, people were everywhere clearing.
In most of the overflows I’ve been in so far, most people are unwilling to cooperate. T_T
That’s weird cause I just went through an overflow that finished 1200.
Why are overflows like third world countries? The people in the overflows are all the same people who are in the main servers, they’re just from all of the main servers instead of just one. They all want to complete the event with the most reward just like everyone else.
Overflows aren’t the rejects of the game, they’re just the people who weren’t quite fast enough to get into their main server
Didn’t say there were no overflows reaching the 1200 mark, I just said that the ones (most) I’ve been in weren’t working toward it. I was in one where we reach 900+ earlier, and that was great, because at least a lot of people were trying.
I decided to log off for a bit after I was in one where some people were basically saying they wont bother saving citizens because they don’t enjoy it, which is fine, but yeah. /shrug. Just felt like I was wasting my time after spending most of the event saving citizens ,and we really weren’t getting anywhere.

Anyway, this was a nice addition, and it opens the door for many new cosmetic awards we may get to see in the future.
Maybe they should periodically display this message in chat in order to ram it into the heads of most players. I’d bet a large number of players don’t even know this.
For players who attain the highest tier of 1500 citizens saved, there’s a chance for ascended materials and rewards from previous Living World releases.
Not hard, but very annoying.
Canyon Spiders.
I want to play as a Largos.
Yeah, no capes.
Just tell that fox thing to undo the strap/hook on his cape. :P
But in fantasy settings, capes/cloaks are often used as additional protection. A dragonscale cloak for example.
I only ask for 2 weapon skills to be changed! Warrior offhand sword sux compared to the offhand axe! plz make the offhand sword skills be on par with the offhand axe skills! I would so love to run dual swords but as it currently stands offhand sword is only good for 1v1 battles to inflict massive bleeds. I want it to be more versatile like the offhand axe is!
^ The exact reason I wish there were different weapon skills to choose from per individual weapon.
There is probably someone out there that loves the warrior offhand sword skill, and will fight tooth and nail for it to not be changed.
The ability to purchase individual pieces of gem store armor, after once purchasing a full 800 gem set. (about 200 gems per piece or so)
The only things I really sell aside from exotics are level 75+ rare greatswords.
and daggers, and staffs depending on current going rate. (generally I check the current going rate for most rares weapons, before salvaging them)
I agree that there should be more weapon skills, for slightly different reasons, but I agree and that’’s what matters most.
I don’t know if the system is already setup to do this or not, but what if they set it up to where there were 4-7 guaranteed ascended drops, that are randomly given to people who participated in the raid/event.
That would take some of the RNG out of it, and mimic classic mmo’s, as you know for sure that some people are going to get “epic” loots, it’s just a question of who gets lucky.
The ticket system seems cool, but they may want the items to be rarer than that.
You don’t need Ascended armor. The stat increase over Exotics is minor. So if you’ve given up on getting these, you can still play the game as normal.
Even if you don’t need it for the majority of situations in game, I’d imagine someone would be disappointed if there was suddenly a change in game that made the ascended gear they spent all that time obtaining suddenly become not so great for the char it’s on.
All that gear is stuck on one character, and the person no longer has a use for it. (unless changes are done in the future that suddenly makes the equips useful to the person again)
I was asking for this when ascended weps were being prepped for introduction.
I don’t think people would completely stop crafting them just because they were account bound.
Eventually people would want to transmute them(they could even make them soulbound once transmuted), run different setups, and they would get tired of having to transfer gear whenever they wanted to play a different character.

I agree with world bosses, surprised no one mentioned them earlier.
While they involve a lot of players, most of them require little to no communication.
I have slow reaction speed, bad timing, and it’s hard for me to see what some monsters are doing, so this game is very challenging for me.
I thought this thread was going to be a reference to the fact that some people are “stuck” in LA do to the lag. :P I finally just had to log out.
I agree, I’ve been wanting an open world dungeon as well. Reminds me of Avalon City, as well as many other dungeons in daoc.
I thought we were going to get one when that spire or whatever it was called was previewed in a past LS, but it turned out not to be.
I watched the video you linked, tbh not sure what I was watching there but I get the idea, your group in a dungeon or something fighting off waves of bad guys. I think we really do need something like this and as I said they would be treated as “new maps” to tie us over until the big expansions come.
Thanks for your support.
tbh, that video didn’t really do it any justice, the place is huge, I couldn’t find any decent videos though, just short vids of people camping spots grinding, or raids killing the main boss in the dungeon.
This video gives a better view of the place.

I’m short on inventory space, mainly because of the weapon/armor skins I gather.
Kind of feels like I’m doing myself a service, and a disservice at the same time. :p
Buy more skins/stones from the gem store for varied looks —-—> have to buy more storage to hold it all.
Sidenote: If you buy a gem store armor set using gems bought with real money, it would nice if we unlock the ability to buy individual pieces of that armor, rather than having to buy the entire set again.

Luckily you can buy them on the TP now, and when you look at the price of keys, it’s not that expensive to buy them on it.
For the most part, I don’t really have trouble acquiring gem store skins when I want them, this thread mostly stems from my desire to see more rewarding weapon skins distributed throughout the world. (well, it’s actually mostly because I want to see some cook skins)
These weapons can be made obtainable through JPs, certain events interesting events (Bria’s manor for example), straight up buying them from merchants for a high gold price, etc.
I would be 10000000 times happier if they simply implemented weapon-dyeing to be honest…so that they would not even need to “re-skin”, I would be able to do it myself. making weapons the colour I like, the colour they match with my character and armors choices.
Yeah, it would be great if some weapons in game where able to be dyed. (lifesblood longsword
)
Other than that, I’m still praying for future reskins, hoping more people see this thread and comment, lol.
A regional chat would be nice.
Kryta, Ascalon, Shiverpeaks, etc.
and would like for them to be frequently introduced if possible. We could ask for completely new designs, but I’m sure that takes a lot of work, and most are reserved for the gem store.
Now, I’m no graphic artist, so I may be naive in the amount of work it would take to res skins weapons when it comes to adding different textures, colors, and particle effects to them, but I see some potential in this. (I don’t even know if re skinning is the proper term for it, lol)
Looks at SAB for instance, there is a huge amount in prestige for simply have a different color super weapon, I think this can be expanded to other parts of the game, as well as just re skinning weapons people can easily get for fun.
Example: Imagine taking the Ebon vanguard greatsword http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:Ebon_Vanguard_Greatsword.jpg, and changing the blade to the same texture as the glass priory weapons, and then changing the hue/color of the blade to grayish black, and the hilt to celestial, and sticking that in the chest of one of the more difficult JP as a random reward.
This reminds me, I was away for a few months, and I was shocked to discovery unidentified dyes had risen to 35s a pop, is there any reason for the huge price jump?
I don’t like the fact that weapons only have one set of skills available. If the skills of the weapon don’t suit your needs, you only have two options, use a different weapon, or play another class, which kind of sucks if you’re the type that collects weapon skins, and would like to use them, among other issues.
Like say for example someone is playing a ranger, and would like to use the warhorn.
They have two main hand weapon options, the sword, and the axe.
If this person is not skilled enough to use the sword, that automatically cancels that out as an option.
So they are left with the axe, which is not that great of a weapon unless you’re running a build specifically tailored for it, or fight in an area where the utility the axe brings is very important.
Whenever someone suggest a change to one of these weapon sets, there will always be those who disagree, because the weapon skills fit their exact needs. Would be a lot easier imo if you could just switch skills.

I’ve been opening the champ bags on my mid 30’’s character I have been leveling for linen and such.
I don’t suppose there is anything they can really do to change this which inevitably means the game will have a short lifespan. I kind of regret buying this last week now, I watched the angry joe review (first one I ever watched of his) and everything on the video review looked amazing, however it seems everything on that video is now defunct and that is not the game everyone is playing now.
/shrug
It is like this in the vast majority of MMO’s unless you buy when first released, or are playing one with huge leveling grinds, which are short in number these days.
It’s not like this, because most other MMO games don’t rely on dynamic group events like this one, where there are no players to join in on them.
Do you mean rely on de’s for leveling, or for the sake of doing de’s? (for fun)
It was like this over a year ago when I got the game last Dec. All of the middle zones were dead, and I had to rely on hearts, and jumping to queensdale for events to level up.
Once I got high enough, I was able to go to the location were all the people were doing DE’s at. (at the time it was CS, and dragon events, now it’s simply world events/temples)
Personally, I still disagree with what they did to CS, but I’m saying it’s just like any other MMO in the sense that people eventually abandon mid to low level areas in exchange for what’s more efficient/fun to them, and in this case they are abandoning older DE’s for more rewarding ones, or more rewarding activities in general.

Permanent helm/boots/gloves. etc with special effects in gem store?
I’m not asking for the 800 gem armor sets, and BLC weapon skins to become perma, in fact, I’m asking for a different kind for gem store skin.
It would be nice if we could buy additional helmet, glove, and boot skins that had special effects that could be added to the achievement panel, or something similar. With price range depending on what effects they give,a nd sold individually
example:
They could introduce a gem store boot called ’Hermes’s Boots’ or whatever, that have gold shimmering wings attached to them, and the wearer of these boots leave golden wing foot prints as they walk/run, and this could cost around 1600 gems, and they can have a cheaper version that does not leave footprints that cost 400 gems.
Just something I though about after experiencing the cash shop skin system in another game.
Karma
Monthly/Daily
Leveling
Just because.
I don’t think the people with limited data would be happy about this.
Edit: self face palm.
Maybe they can also put in apick that can be purchased from vendors for a bit more than ori picks that have the ability to mine all nodes + have a chance of giving sprockets.
The low level events give less karma – you’d probably do well on the Penitent/Shelter cycle if there was anyone else out there.
Those events were on what seemed like 45min timers the last time I was out there.
Does the timer really have to be 30min long?
How about 7min or something? lol
The developers said that there is no need to feel forced to change gear, despite the nerf. Berserker will still be the stat combo with the highest DPS. No other stat combo will be better at damaging foes.
Suppose you are driving a car that is the fastest there is; it is a lot faster than all other cars. Now, the car is recalled for an emergency (and mandatory) fix to the engine for safety reasons. The car is now 8-10% slower than it was before. However, it is still faster than all other cars. Therefore, you still drive the fastest car there is. So if you like speed, why would you consider getting a different car?
So just relax. Gameplay will be a little bit more challenging, but that was only because it is currently too easy.
TL;DR: Berserker will NOT suddenly be “suboptimal”.
Using full berserk comes with the set back of having do defense, but to some people this was worth it because of the damage they got from it. Now with the crit dmg nerf, zerker still may be the highest dmg gear, but some people may no longer find the exchange of no defense for higher damage worth it.
Edit: For better wording.

Would probably still be people there farming karma if pent/shelt wasn’t nerfed multiple times.
I think 250-300g or something like that, I don’t know, haven’t played in about 3 months.
How about they just add three new sword skills that the people who don’t like the current setup can alternatively use.
On the other side of the fence, there are people who have been been asking for ways to get T3 on other races. >_>
What they all lack for me are cooldowns that allow me to remember they exist as I’m playing. No matter how great an ability is, if I can only use it for 10 seconds of out every 240, I generally don’t care about it.
This is why i just have the signet elite on my warrior and almost never actually use it, just go off the passive.
That’s actually one of the few elites I like and actively use, since if you’re traited for it, it’s on a 48sec cool down, and a couple of boons are still up when you recast it. Makes it really easy to have perma sprint on a warrior.
You should have posted part of the map chat. Just from that whisper it’s hard to tell whether the person they were raging at was some innocent person who came across an event, or if it was one of those people who go to queens for the sole purpose of trolling.
(Even if that’s the case, they still shouldn’t respond to them in an aggressive manner, they’re just giving them ammo to use against them)
If they reduced pent/shelt timers to where they were a while back, the size of the queens dale Zerg may drop some.
While I think anet may change champ farming in the future, I don’t think that reason should be because some players are rude, that’s what the report function is for.
Champ farming doesn’t magically turn people into jerks(although being anon probably does), those people were always like that, they only needed to be provoked.
If you really want to solo a champ, you can always just go to one on the many zones where the champ trains aren’t running.
Probably because people kept talking about there being no chance of failure.
