And taking a look at the screenshoot. The price before tax appears 3 times. It’s redundant. Having the final price in the center makes more sense

The pricing shown is fine I believe, top one shows the per unit price which is useful, the largest middle one shows the overall price for that sale, which only looks the same because that particular sale is just one item, and the bottom left shows the current sales in per unit, which again is fine as for real world sales it’ll show the per unit price in multitudes of sales.

I actually think its misleading in the way it is displayed . The actual sell price is displayed in larger print more than once and set out so it draws your eye to that figure, the fees, etc are not that eye catching almost a second thought, and think there are going to be stacks of complaints from users thinking the TP ripped them off.

The projected profit was much better.

I have an icky feeling in the pit of my stomach, the big sell instantly button is making my nervous, but will reserve my judgement until release.

As someone who spends a lot of time using the TP what irks me the most atm is when looking at the times I’m buying , if i click on an individual item to see the other buy orders, there is no way back to return to my list of buy orders other than clicking any other tab in tp then -> transaction tab ->buying , by then I have forgotten what I was going to look at.

If this is fixed I would be happy , very happy

If you can’t understand that ANet obviously wants every profession to be viable, them telling you won’t change anything. No game developer in their right mind makes a game with characters that they hate.

After you have done the first heart just port to the first way point in DR and run down the hill and through the door to the bank to pick up you gear, It takes a whole minute or so extra.

Downed state is confusing to some new players because all of a sudden their familiar skill bar disappears and is replaced by skills they know nothing about. To make matters worse, they do not really have time to mouse over them to read a tooltip due to the fact that they are dying. So most just randomly spam buttons and hope for the best. The pressure of a near-death experience isn’t exactly conducive to learning.

I totally agree, though, that moving the downed state to level 5 doesn’t solve this problem at all.

So you press one of the four buttons right in front of you and see what it does, you’ve got nothing to loose. You’re dying anyway.

Sigh. New players do hit the buttons, but it isn’t always easy to tell what each skill and its associated animations are actually doing in terms of game mechanics.

but seriously though, The first time I was in a downed state … I was happy I wasn’t dead. I had a second chance and hit buttons, I didn’t care what they did , I wasn’t about to sit there and analyze what might be the best option to choose, I had no choice my health was going… so I spammed. It didn’t take a degree in astro physics to work out that the rock I was throwing was directly having a negative effect on drakes health.

I think the issue is, and I used to guest for the same reason, I used to leave my server if I couldn’t complete an event because it was being “farmed” on my server…

I used to guest to SoR because they had the best FG champ train going.
It also helped when I was looking for open temples .

Well it may not be odd but, can someone please help me understand why?

I was just looking at low priced dyes, that had buy orders of around 89-91 copper , most had around buy orders of say 20 or so at the 90 ish mark. as I am looking someone has placed buy orders of 100’s to 1000’s of each colour all at 1.01 silver across the board to around 50 different dyes ( i gave up looking) ,

Now are they attempting to push the buy price up?

What i don’t understand is if they are flippers if they have effectively pushed the buy price up they have also drastically cut they profit margin from 90+copper to in some cases 10 copper

I don’t get it? Please explain

OK, I know this is in the area of tinfoil hats and everything, but in my experience, the results of the first BL key is usually pretty good. This got me wondering – because if it’s programmed like that, it would be pretty smart right? (you get the taste of success, so you continue gambling!). So I tested it, because using 25 keys at once rarely got me anywhere.

So, I used 1 key a day. Surprisingly, this netted me with consistent scraps, I’d say one to two full tickets per 25 keys. And if I didn’t get a scrap, I got another good result (e.g. an expensive BL item). It was slow, but at least I got my scraps. In this manner, I got at least twice as many scraps as I would opening many BL chests all at once. I’d really like to see the test results of others over, say, 25 days, but I also realize noone would be even remotely interested to replicate my crazy tinfoil hat experiment. Plus, this experiment was done before the recent overhaul, so it might be completely outdated information anyway.

I promise you, there are no secret mechanics involved in the chest openings.

yep…. the other night I used two keys and got a 2 dumb boosters a stupid dye and 2 annoying tomes of knowlege, and a essence of luck, So i figured I will never do that again.

However my internet was being a pain last night , so i figured I would go farm a key…

and yeah…. One dumb booster, another dye and wait for it ……. and essence of luck —- no more chests for me!

I never have spent money on RNG items, however I will spend time to get them……having said that after the lastest patch, I seriously doubt I will even spend time doing in in future.

Guardians are probably the most difficult ones to tell for sure…. but ALL bots have lots of “Tells”:

• Running always in mostly straight lines and only engaging mobs that come into direct aggro-range with them. (Easily missing easier-to-kill mobs off to the side by mere feet from their aggro-range).
• Always dodging or using Evading skills even when not seriously hurt or even outnumbered. (Shortbow rangers especially.)
• Popping their Elite skill even in 2 on 1’s instead of grouping mobs together before popping it.
• Appear to be wearing Knights or other gear that sacrifices Power Crits for survival when every actual human being is capable of Zerking (or atleast Valk’ing/Assassin’s) every group of mob when out casually farming for mob drops.

But probably the most FUN giveaway (in my testing) …has been when… you for instance, pull a Veteran Giant into their pathway and just casually leave it there for them to fight. This is the real giveaway…. b/c the Bot will usually just target whatever is closest: usually the endlessly respawning Grubs. And it won’t be smart enough to “path” away or give up. It will continually rally itself (Necro Bots especially) until it’s downed so much it insta-dies. And then it will usually WP away instantly.

In some cases Guardian will actually defeat the Giant. But that’s only b/c Guards are OP in general (and everyone knows it, haha)

I can confirm they were they on Sea of Sorrows Yesterday afternoon and they would not go away . Map chat was flooded with it. Blocked and reported , it was the first time I had seen one in ages

I have pretty much ignored this LS and for a completionist it wasn’t that hard to turn my back on.

I have found now that I seem to be logging in less, I have started playing GW1 more frequently and I have even restarted playing D3. The continual patching and changing of thinks that don’t need tp be changed has lessened my desire to play as much.

I was quite surprised to people advertising a fee to be able to join their group. I think it was something like 5g to join their Arah party

I run an i7/GTX780. I can play in the zerg literally maxed out. I have never ever once gotten a DC at the start of a large event.

This isn’t a game problem this is a im too lazy cheap or broke to upgrade my system.

Gaming is a relatively cheap hobby compared to other hobby’s save up those pennies for a new GPU.

We’ve had anecdotes in the past here from various players who do this when they’re bored.

I have done this with… Bronze Chain Linings IIRC… out of boredom and to see what would happen if a “stimulus package” hit a market. Bought from sellers up to a high-water point and sold that stock to all the buyers up to a low-water point, then watched the graphs on gw2spidy. Was very amusing, but ultimately disheartening. Probably some of the “most fun” gold I have spent in this game though, and I’m by no means a TP tycoon.

Also, if you have a private guild bank just for you and you accidentally “stand-down” from that guild, you lose everything. Support will not and can not do anything to help you. I have a personal guild bank that I share with 2 very close “real life” friends, we are all officers with the permissions to change each others ranks. I am the actual guild leader and if I accidentally drop my-self from the guild, they can re-invite me.

Ohhhh Thanks goodness I share mine with a close personal friend too, I could see myself accidentally doing that too. I have made him a leader as well.

I am having a minor problem with the BLTP. I can’t sell certain items. They are not soulbound and I can sell them to the vendor. I have had this problem before and it seems to focus on one type of attribute (i.e right now I can’t sell anything that has pillaging in the title). Has anyone had this problem besides me?

I am crafting items and trying to sell them back to recoup some of my money but I can’t sell these certain things. Help!

Park a character in the appropriate level range (about 19-29 IIRC) at a jump puzzle chest and log in and open that chest every day. Silver doubloons will trickle in. Multiply this by as many characters as you care to or spend some time going from chest to chest.

Wait, so what? Do I have to park with a 19-29 character at a 19-29 area’s chest? Or is the character level irrelevant? I just tried picking the chest with a 65 lvl char in Snowden Drifts JP and i got sapphire crystal or something. I’m lost

I will bring some clarity to this …

Park a level 21-29 character at an Lion’s Arch JP and farm the chest every day at reset. You are guaranteed a gem or crest and if it is a rare, you can get a silver doubloon (sometimes a gold). I have three characters doing this every day. I also salvage the other stuff for Essence and mats. It’s a win/win. Level 19 and 20 characters does not work … they only gives copper doubloon from my testing.

The MF recipe has already been mentioned and it’s also very good. I have always come out ahead of my costs when I do this … i.e., it can make you money. I prefer the 3 pebble/1 lump version.

These are only rare for one reason … people don’t know how easy it is to make or set themselves up to farm them.
