No this isn’t an l2p issue. The same story is coming up repeatedly. I lost 30 in a row last night/this morning. At least one other poster cited a record of 1 for 29. Multiple other players overnight told me they had 20+ losses.
Yes, I doubt this is purely a l2p issue. Players who were diamond or legendary last season who struggle to get out of amber (soloQing) seems to be common atm.

Seems to be like that. I keep having loss streaks of 5+ games. Win 1-2 then back to loss streaks.
Right now matchmaking is pretty much random vs random. If you lost 10 in a row, it might be you.
Doubtful. I reached legendary last season without stronghold farming or MMR exploits. Pure regular conquest playing.
But I heared it is because my MMR is super low from trying to get class wins in legendary division. Now I only get newbs on my team.

that’s working as intended since your MMR is high, you get put together with 4 other players with high MMR.
then match making just fetch 5 other amber players to fight against your high MMR amber team.
What could possibly be wrong with this if they dont reset MMR at start of season? Explains my 80% loss rate. I had tanked a lot of MMR when I went for class wins after legendary in season 1.
Season 1 is MUCH rougher.
Season 2 so far is a breeze.
Aside from Reaper, classes are pretty balanced atm too.

It should be easier since your teammates will be of more similar skill instead of the team teams having player skill split between them. Imagine matchmaking as if it were trying to make a bunch of 1v1 matches by picking 5 players as similar as possible to fight another set of 5 similar players.

you may not get good teammates but so does enemy team, i literary won 1v2 fight vs 2 necros….on vanilla dp thief…

They said in one of the blogs that each season will have a title for reaching maximum division.
I killed him twice this week. He does spawn.
Stuck with Frenzy 3 collection: The event “Clear the poisonous urchins from Lashoosh” in Snowden rifts is not spawning or has an unreasonable long respwn time.
Over 10k accounts have it unlocked and noone noticed it so far? Seems very weird if you ask me.
Maybe it is still hidden in UI after unlocked? Group Effort 1-5 are that way for sure.
Anyway it is something you should forward to the appropriate dev. The API shows that this fake achievement gives 15 AP and it needs to be removed if someone in the top 25 EU or NA has it, to not skew the competition there.

So, #561 came back up on the whitelist today, which means that it’s being returned by /v2/account/achievements (for someone). It’s kind of gross, but there’s someone out there for whom it displays in the in-game UI, so I’m going to leave it as-is in the API.
Could it be some kind of GM or test account? There are als accounts having Ad Infinitium and the legendary pvp backpiece although it is not available to players.
Otherwise I have no idea how this achievement could be unlocked at all (some glitch maybe?)
I always have too many mystic coins, but then again I got 30 accounts to loot them from.
Yup, I did this multiple times at the NW area. I tried a few times from the Wyvern Patriarch after I posted this just falling and not touching my keyboard (20 seconds).
It just won’t trigger for me. Perhaps it was broken recently? The only thing I can think of is with the introduction of gliding they could have messed with what they consider “fall”. I don’t activate gliding for all my runs.
I did this collection this week, so there was no patch which could have broke it.
The Predator III: The Hunter:
Champion Captain Wiley won’t spawn. I’ve been camping his events for way too long, it’s super bugged and is the only thing blocking my progression.
Not a single mention of these bugs in this week’s patches too, supes encouraging.
Same problem here. It seems like he can only spawns on fresh maps. He does not seem to respawn at all. Neither his Elite nor his pre event for his champion version.
I waited for two Iron ore node respawns and nothing happened.
EDIT: I just found a new /Ip and Elite Captain Wiley was up. Killed him and it added to the collection. Sorry for anyone else who will waste his time waiting for him now :/

I got this by jumping down somewhere in Verdant Brink. Verdant Brink has the highest fall times of the game.
Last thing I need for my predator 3 collection. Never saw him or his pre event spawn. The iron nodes around respawned before it happened, so I think it is bugged.
I bet Anet divided the droprate by 10 somewhere by mistake. Droprate is really low compared to all the other collection items…
I have not seen this suggested yet, so I will suggest it now.
It would be nice if the API would give access to the global adventure leaderboards (maybe top 1000) and authorized API access to an accounts adventure progress and results.
Also it would be nice if you could access account boni like magic find by luck (% and exact amount of luck if reached 300% mf by luck cap), magic find by achievements, karma bonus by achievements, gold drop bonus (achievements and daily chest).
Just keep redoing the personal story.
Ministerel II collection has a serious bug. After giving the NPC everything he asks for he asks for standard focus weapons again. He will consume them without giving you anything in return. Just wasted 5 stacks of t5 wood right now because of it. (Working on all 23 precursor collections at the same time, so I noticed that I gave him 250 Standard Focus before too late. All other collections dont have this problem.)
It is bugged again. At least on the only EU fields of ruin /ip we have at the moment. Tried yesterday, tried today. Tried guesting to different servers. Always get on this same bugged /ip.

For some unfathomable reason it’s also needed to buy stuff from guild hall merchants. I’d like to buy the mushroom mini but apparently the 20g and 50 guild commendations isn’t pricey enough so there’s an added cost of 100 crystalline ore attached just for giggles. It’s not even a guild related currency! On the other hand, I have a big pile of shimmering crystals mined from our guild nodes that I have no use for: a part of me suspects the currencies were mixed up.
Personally I’ve been getting my ore from dead DS maps, of which there is no shortage. There must be 10 or so noxious pods available at all times if you look around.
Yes, it is outrageous that guild vendors need crystalline ore. Needs to be changed asap.
I do not want to burst your bubble, but having high AP in this game is not going to impress anyone. Won’t be special. Even in PvP, there are no things in GW2 that would drop jaws.
“Exclusivity” would be a really good point, but are you really going to use those awful weapon skins just to look special? People won’t even notice those…
I dont want to burst your bubble. But people congratulate me on my AP all the time, and most people even notice I am top 3 EU if they see me in their group. I pug a lot.

I don’t see the point of “limited” items in video games. It’s just a bunch of pixels… I have that skin but I want it back because my friend would like to get it. I don’t even use it but she would wear it on every character. It’s unfair.
The wings should at least come back once a year or something. What makes me mad is when people are so selfish they don’t want it back because they feel like they are special just for owning a bunch of pixels and other people don’t deserve to get them… It makes me sick.
Communism makes me sick, too. Not everyone needs to have everything. They were rewards for a specific ingame event, so unless Anet repeats this event, these wings should not come back.
Back to topic:
Zodiac, Fused and Sclerite weapon skins could use a comeback. They were not available for black lion tickets for a long long time.
Remove AP cap and retire the leaderboards. That would be the best way to handle it.
+1 Clean and simple.
Also remove the AP from being shown ingame and also remove the items you receive for them. That would be so much cleaner, considering people should play for AP as a personal form of pride not for items.
Did you get kicked for having too few AP? Make your own group. Are you jelous other people have more AP than you and skins you will not reach any time soon? Too bad for you.
The AP system has a very good use: It makes you play all kind of areas of the game. I probably would never have experienced a lot of the game if an achievement or collection would have suggested me to go there.
I predict a lot of areas seeing less player attention if you would drop the AP system. And I know many players who just log in every day to compete in the top 1000 of the AP system, many of them buying a lot of gems to convert them for gold for expensive collections. So it is a win-win for Anet and players to have the leaderboards and the AP system the way it is.
An extra achievement appeared in the “Fire and Frost” category.

Exactly I will be anti anything regarding this. The AP system is fine the way it is except a few achievements which give too few or too many AP for the required effort.
Or simply live with the fact that you missed something. The historical AP are the main reason the top 25 does not have exactly the same AP, the other reason are expensive achievements like precursor collections and black lion collections. There are no skill based achievements in this game that you cannot get in a short time of practicing. This includes the raid achievements.
Something they could do is increase the Daily Cap by as many APs as those you are missing from Historical and Retired achievements. So if you are missing 5k historical achievements (new player) your daily cap would be 20k, not 15k. In that way you can compensate for not being there when some content was released by doing extra daily achievements.
Although for me the best way to deal with the Daily Achievements is to make them infinite and add some form of decay.

I dislike it. Some historical achievements were tons of effort and dailies would be much easier to get. And no I dont have all historical achievements (missing 20 AP there).
I find it disgusting that entitled players are trying to ruin every last part of the game.

No, even if you would be removed from leaderboard I would be against it. It would devalue the achievement rewards, especially pinacle weapon skins which have more prestige than legendaries at the moment.
This sounds strange. Recently an Anet employe said on reddit, that you can contact customer support for guild name changes if you are guild leader. He even says that it has no known bugs.

The chance for 1 or 2 ascended mats is 50:50 in my experience (based on 30 accounts). So you get 1,5 on average.
20 laurels are worth 12,40g on average at the moment. So take that as you want.

-1 I really enjoy the AP leaderboards. They keep me going every day and make me do every single precursor collection at the moment.
If anything the daily/monthly AP should be deleted. They are not remotely close to being an achievement anymore. Back in the day before the cap it took 4 hours on average to do them all.
Nowadays you spend 5min a day on a skyhammer pvp server and get free 10 AP for suiciding in mid.

Sounds like a terrible suggestion. Just because 2 achievements give 10 AP does not mean they are equal of difficulty.
I started picking ascended materials a while ago (on all 30 accounts). T6 mats dropped too much in value, especially t6 poison.

Please keep it the 15k cap. It gives permanent achievements more value.
Sounds like a good idea, but I wonder why the developers did not move these achievements into a historic category. It makes little sense to have them there if each WvW season got its own category in the historic section.
I very much would like to see fused, zodiac and sclerite weapons back. They never were available for a long time (they were gone before the black lion achievements got added)
What about blacklisting the WvW season ranking achievements like “WvW Premier Season: 1st Place” and “WvW Spring Tournament 2014: 1st Place”?. There are 27 achievements of them and they are mutually exclusive, the “WvW Spring Tournament 2014” achievements are even duplicated because of a bug back then.
They also give 0 AP and provide no information about the server you were part of back then, so they provide no interesting information at all.
I would prefer if they were blacklisted or moved into a historic category to keep the WvW achievement category clean.
They could turn Essences of Time into an orb for example. That item has almost no use at the moment. Not sure how much supply it has, but people still chest farm like crazy.
