The Inquisition tiers afaik do not count towards the Meta. Only way to do it now is to return for 4 days for 1 point via daily
You activate it and get a screen for that particular character that mimicks the one from character creation, but only with the hair options. You can play around as much as you like, it will only apply when accepting all changes. Cancelling will not use your kit and you can trade it to your other chars to check their options too.
One of the male human hairstyles looks weird in some colours, especially the special colours. It clips with itself and there are odd dark patches at the sides eating half the ear.
The kill all assassins triggers on the last kill (Didn’t expect it, startled me off a cloud lol). So why not the baubles acievement?

They see when you are online, where you are and what character you are on. So yes, I find this “great feature” not only a minor annoyance but a rather major one. Btw, blocking is still broken so this doesn`t help.

The ones in Rata Sum still do. I also panicked when the others didn`t. Just visit the Asura, they have everything in order ^_~
As a lot of people do, I use a bank mule. a character with decent bags that is constantly parked at a bank to play packmule.
Lorewise and as Character they are boring. They either talk about food or war. Even the Norn are more fleshed out. They need some dedicated Lore work and compelling characters. Rox is a start at showing that not all Charr are one dimensional. Even their map territories are boring, everywhere looks the same. The whole race just got the short end of the lore and artist stick.
I just got it. Did it via Dulfy guide and got Baubles and Secrets in the same run. Secrets will trigger when you discover the last room, Bauble Achievement triggers when defeating the Boss. So the guide definitely includes all baubles.

A question for you lore hounds:
I just found the large pipes in Ossan quarter. They go past the Grenth statue and there are workers on it. At the bottom there are Seraphs investigating Bandit activity.
Does anyone know what is going on there? The pipes seem to run between Ossan underground and the upper quarters. What is in these pipes? I thought Divinities Reach gets its water from Queensdale? Were these pipes always ther? I don’t remember them from my past map completion runs. How did I miss this large structure?
The wiggly chest only appears for characters of lvl40 and up since it contains a yellow item and these start at 40 (or 39?).
Are there still recipes that you have not discovered with salt?
Because after you have discovered all possible recipes using a particular item, it is then removed from the list.

Yes there are white backs. All the fluffy plushie backs come with a white empty item leather strap so that lowbie chars can use it before you can find playable backpacks. I think they are accountbound on aquire when you open the set. But you can buy a cheap backpack set and take out the back strap.
The blocking doesn’t work anyway. Blocked someone in my guild. Still seeing his spam in the guild channel >_>
You need to wait until you get transportet to the next world for achievements to be granted. So after defeating the boss you need to stay around until the timer runs down.
As of lately, I frequently encounter a sound bug during world completion. When I speak to scouts, I usually break them off mid-sentence by pressing M, closing the map. Then all my sounds get turned off except for interface sounds and background music. No skill sounds, no dialogue, no surroundings. Feels really creepy. Speaking to another scout fixes it sometimes, but not very often. I usually relogg to the character screen and back in which also fixes the issue.
It is open until end of September.

Stood next to him, put my wells as described, fired on him with everything I had. Not a single hit, even the wells just ticked with “MISS”. I went to defending and repairing the turrets as I concluded I am completely unable to damage him directly.
I additionally make sure to step backwards on the leaf because I was under the impression that the shard doesn`t hit him correctly when you stand underneath his face. And make sure you have his face targeted and not the shard.
Worst part is that if it fails, I usually fail to dodge the tongue because I don`t see it coming >_>
Yup. Have seen many complains about this one. And the usual reply is: keep trying. Most people take 20-30 tries before they get in. If you get a moment of lower latency by luck, you get in.
I know what you mean, I dodgejump onto the stone and pray it lets me get to the large pads. Jumping directly onto the lillypads always drops me. Just know I gave up on the spot pictured since I only managed to get to the jumping pad two times in 20 tries. It kills me while I’m still standing on the stump and aim for the mushrooms. Even if I stand on the outermost patch faaaar away from the spikes.
Due to the search function still not working I can’t find a thread on the issue.
For the last few days I have experienced constant lag in the box. Lag of one second is pretty much the standard I am playing at. In normal mode this is bad but in tribulation mode it makes crossing certain areas a luck based feat. In W1Z3 right at the start I keep dying on my way up of spikes that are miles away because the server can’t keep track of where I am.
Funny thing is, it only happens in the SAB. The rest of Tyria runs smoothly as always. How does that even happen? Shouldn’t I be alone in the instance? Does guesting to another server help?
What are your favourite hated spots in Trib mode?
I know some of you are perfekt and do not die at all even in Trib mode.
For the rest of us mortals, every one certainly has one spot it took ages to get over.
Which traps are the meanest? Which jumps do you fear?
My personal horror ist W1Z2 that double jump over the rocks with the large fakey. I get killed mid jump because the server forgot to check where I am, the rock nails me, I dip my toenail in the lava upon landing and when I finally make the jump, that meany upper leaf blocks my jump upwards and pokes me into the lava. Whoever designed that part: you are eeeevil. That dev probably has a goatee and keeps stroking a white cat. XD
PS: I love trib mode, for some reason I keep giggling while I die.
Dodge jump is afaik not farther. It just is an automatic maximal distance jump which makes difficult jumps a bit easier. But Josh stated pretty clearly that all jumps have been tested to doable via normal jumps.
That said, Trib mode does get easier when you can pull it of. It’s a lot of practise though =/

As Thanatos said: That is not a bug. At Moto you have time until the walls close to choose to continue with your infinite coin, if you idle away and die because of it, that is not a bug. Happened to me too because I was standing at an unsafe checkpoint (stupid monkey) but I wouldn`t blame anyone else for that than me.
I would also like more lives than ten, but meh, finding a safespot is standard procedure.
True, the hard part was fun, but it just doesn`t end and you loose progress when you stop.
World 1 is actually easier solo since opening the chests requires less keys =)
For me too. I was on two characters which I had completely upgraded. One missed Motos breath and the whip, the other is missing the Sling and the whip.
Since the chests and digspots are accountbound now, this is a bit of a pain. Especially since I wanted to equip more chars. Please just make the digspots characterbound again. Farming for spheres hurts noone and I can replace my missing items.
I would like to take a moment to discuss the ways story is presented in this game. Not the content of the story, just the way it is delivered.
At the start many complained that the story is too hidden in the world aside from the Personal Story. These voices have become lowered over time. Especially the Living Story has come a long way in storytelling.
There are several ways GW2 presents stories, ranging from very obvious to hidden:
- books lying around, e.g. in the Durmand priory.
- text only conversation with characters
- scripted dialogue scenes with our character and another
- ambient dialogue
- game graphic cutscenes
- art cutscenes
if I forgot any, please feel free to add. Also I would like you to share your opinion, which you like best and which you don`t find engaging.
I just finished the Queens speech instance and I have to say it was a HUGE step forward in the way of storytelling. No dialogue scenes, all dialogue was ambient which means it doesn’t take control away from the player and you can still follow the conversation very well. The game graphic cutscene at Scarlets reveal has been reported to be off on lower graphic settings, but worked wonderful for me. The art cutscene was gorgeous. I think by now the Arenanet artists have noticed that we do love these concept art style cutscenes (we got to rewatch the film noir one from the investigation). The whole instance was just the most engaging I have ever encountered in this game. The little jokes were appreciated, exploring was rewarding, it was just really well done. So much so that I honestly regret that I can’t replay it with every of my alts. I’m looking forward to the final instance for this content. Keep up the good work.

The Giant Crabs was Bubbles stirring or possibly awaking. Has nothing to do with Zhaitan, there are 5 more of him to go around. The Molten Alliance and the Aetherblades both go back to Scarlet which possibly ties into the Story of one of the Asuran starter storys where they explain the Steam Creatures in an Alternate World Scenario (check the Wooden Potatoes Vid for detailed explanations). Since we are connected to other alternate worlds via the Mists (hello WvW) Scarlet will have found a way to cross to them, since she has been through all three Asuran Colleges and obviously is a smart cookie.

All skins work that way, even standard items where you transfer only the skin. Until lvl 80 you only need normal transmutation stones. they are VERY easy to get. Try completing the city maps and you already have a bunch that should last for quite a while. Fine crystals need a bit of luck, but you can get them without gems too. So no, you are not screwed. You neither loose your skins, nor do you absolutely need to buy gems.

I can say that my Necro in the swamp fractal ALWAYS gets mossman and my Mesmer ALWAYS gets Bloomhunger. The prediction has yet to fail me. My poor thief has the most rotten luck of all. Draws dredge fractal every time. I don’t take him to fractals anymore… I still think it’s a funny coincidence though.
I just went there and listened in.. I did hear what you mentioned, but it did not sound like growling or anything of the kind to me. It sounded more like a metal beam or column under a fair amount of stress.
I actually did record a video of it though, so anyone can come to their own conclusions.

The Kiel holo gives me the creeps. Those eyes… those horrible, horrible eyes! O_O
I think what they were going for was a female design because the queen is female. They are supposed to be strong opponents in a reflective image of a Mesmer queen that kicked an entire armies behind.
They just came out a bit… weird.
The Champion weapons are not LS content, but permanent. People have been asking for these for ages as added incentive for boss fights. They are just additions to already limited Boss drops such as Final Rest. And they`ll be in the AH for unlucky loosers like me. They are quite ok.
